Ive just read the story about the young ten year old Rangers fan who was hit by a bottle and had three teeth knocked out while on his way with his dad to his first old firm game, and the Celtic fan who has set up a donation page for him. In days gone by I've sung the songs and I have hated Celtic, but I have to take my hat off to their supporter for what he is doing, it is a wake up call for me, after all its only a game, an incident like that will probably put that young kid off going to football again, I really hope it doesn't.
On the football side of things I'm happy Rangers have signed the lads from Newcastle, but I also think it takes another bit of our identity away. For the first time ever I don't really recognise Rangers anymore, its not the once proud club it used to be, I pray with all my heart we get it back but I have my doubts, I know lads who were diehard Rangers fans but they are just not interested anymore. I can see Rangers losing a future generation of fans if this shambles continues much longer.

1.) Just goes to show that most people on both sides just love their team and are decent chaps. Shame we spend our time and energy talking about the other sort.

The Tims seem keen to out the perp, so let's see if they can manage it.

2.) The biggest culprits for taking our identity away were the imposters that took to the field on Sunday. Most of the performances were disgraceful and these players aren't fit to wear the jersey. I'm glad those players from Newcastle have come in and I would play all 5 right away. Only issue is which 5 do you leave out?

3.) 03 Feb 2015 17:34:44
Well said Sir. Majority of the fans on both sides are decent people who are let down by a minority of arseholes who have held both clubs back. I really hope your wrong about gers never being the same again but Sunday was different and didn't have that magical feel about it. celtic are worse there's no doubt we have a symbiotic relationship anyone who denies that are only lying to themselves

4.) Stewie I agree mate but remember who signed them. he's the biggest imposter!

5.) It's a really great gesture from the Celtic fan. Along with the money donated by Celtic for the Ricksen testimonial, it helps put the football side of things in perspective. It's just a game!

As for our recent delivery from sports direct I'd like to see.

Bigirimana for Law
Vuckic for Aird
Streete for McCulloch
Mbabu for Foster
Ferguson for Smith
Monty Magpie for Ian Black

I'd also like to wish Newcastle Utd all the best for the rest of the season, if they can win their 2 games in hand, then just maybe they can catch Hearts.

6.) @4
Couldn't agree more mate this guy is as responsible as anyone for the shambles that was Sunday's performance. Maybe now the pro Ally brigade will realise that this man has done some serious damage to the club and this is his legacy

7.) 03 Feb 2015 19:08:01
Royal blue what has bringing 5 lads from Newcastle got to do with are identity? We have never brought are own kids through to the first team, so bringing the 5 in doesn't make any difference to who we are! I'd be more worried if them imposters from Sunday was what are identity was all about

8.) Linger
That's a bit harsh on Monty Magpie lol

9.) 03 Feb 2015 22:22:16
The thug who assaulted the ten year old boy are the reason scottish football is the laughing stock of the world at times. Scotlands Shame.

How wrong can I be. simonsen is the biggest donkey ever, followed by arid, and as for that wee theartie black don't get me started. I really thought they would have rose to the occasion today, silly me. and Hutton what's he all about.

royalblue

1.) 01 Feb 2015 14:14:23
kyle hutton is further out his depth than I have ever seen before in any football match

2.) I didn't realise he was playing until about the 30th minute when he passed the ball straight out of the park.

3.) Was worried about this game and particularly defensively, Simonsen is awful and I didn't realise just how poor McGregor is getting bullied by a guy who is about half a foot smaller. No quality, no organisation and no tactics. Anyone with half a brain could see Aird would hide and Black, Law and Hutton have been shown up for what they are. McDowall clueless and needs to go tonight. Embarrassing easy for them so far

4.) 01 Feb 2015 22:41:03
Robinson must be crap if that clown is in goal
How dare he try the billy big baws save with the wrong hand
Bookies pen in the other glove?

Good morning Bears. The nerves have now kicked in big time. In all my years of supporting and following Rangers I've tipped them to win every game they play, and today is no different. I know everyone who's anyone is/has backed that lot to win easily and if I'm being truly honest with myself then they should. I'm glad we are going into this game as strong underdogs because It takes a bit of pressure of whatever players are picked, I just hope that as proud professional footballers every Rangers player rises to the challenge today, they have all been told in recent weeks by just about every ex professional how rubbish they are, if that is not motivation enough then none of them deserve to be at any club never mind the famous Glasgow Rangers. I do believe the players will be up for it today, and I also believe we can actually get a result, if not I hope they at least do themselves, the fans proud by giving it their all. I know we have a bigger battle ahead in the next few weeks, but just for today let's win this battle. No true Ranger has ever failed in the tradition set him, let the others come after us we welcome the chase. COME ON RANGERS

Ive now got 4 days off, the champagne is on ice, I've even told the wife she's more than welcome to go out and burn the plastic on Sunday while the match is on. I've been bricking it for a while about this match, but the closer it's getting I'm getting a wee bit more confident about it, I've just got a feeling this is the day, Rangers players become heroes.

royalblue

1.) Im glad you have that feeling mate, my stomach is churning already, lol!!

2.) What do you base your confidence on?

3.) Am feeling confident the closer it gets aswell, there managers mentality for a start, seems to thinks he's already win it judging by comments made, corn muttons comments aswell the players know there massive underdogs, but comments like that will get noticed in the dressing room, hopefully they come out with a bit of fire and bite!

4.) Royal blue are u gipsy rose lee with the crystal ball in dsguise

5.) BIGWULL. i'm an optimist mate, I know on paper and the way we've played this season that lot should win at a cantor, but I don't think it's going to be as one sided as a lot of people think. If we manage to get the first goal selik will panic big time mate. I just think the players will rise up for this game with 21. 000 bears singing their hearts out behind them, and many thousands more across the world willing them on anything can happen.

6.) Gie the ball another rub to see who scores first goal for the sweep

Fellow Bears
The build up to Sunday has now moved up a gear, and I know that deep down we are all a wannabe manager of the famous Glasgow Rangers. If you were manager for Sundays game, what would your speech be to the players just before they left the dressing room, and I know they shouldn't need any motivation for a game like this but what song would you make them listen to, to get them pumped up before they head up the tunnel. my speech would be something along the lines of yesterdays match when what it means to people when the Rangers family pull together, and how we support players who have/would run through a brick wall for the jersey. my song would be "Have You Seen The Glasgow Rangers.

This mob should be singing the death march m8, and my last instructions would be, everybody stand on the goal line for 90 mins,, only joking, I really don't believe this team have the ability to cope with a decent team, they will be trying to score a lot of goals, we have players who are so bad, its scary how coisty thought they were good enuf ( Airdy, Blackie etc) need to fill the midfield, stay disciplined, and play miller on his own with temps playing off him, I pray aird, black, or mosni ain't playing, I just hope we survive without embarrassment, they will come flying at us with commons shooting from evrywere, we need to settle quickly,

2.) Tommy, Maybe the answer would be select Black and get him to stick to Commons, making it 10 a side. Also tell Black he is allowed a bet on ' Commons not to score. ' I'm sure that we would be the best incentive for him.

3.) Tommy they are clinging to commons, and one thing a few of them will be shooting down to England withing hours of this game, shooting down to sign for there new clubs, but I wonder how any transfers would go should some of these players get a bad injury, IDE imagine any club interested would want there new player before this semi final.

4.) Regardless what anyone tries to say or spend stupid money on newspapers. This is Rangers V Celtic and call it whatever it will be passionate and who would want to predict the result? On paper Celtic should win comfortably but the game is played on grass and there are so many things which can change the form (players up for it, not up for it, bad day, weather, mistakes by ref, player gets heated and sent off early. the list goes on). Ask Barcelona when they played the other side of the city. Anybody's game this one. The pressure and expectation is all on Ce;tic

Johnnymac. Trust me mate I am no wee boy, believe it or not I am actually in agreement with your posts about the state of the team and the shambles our club is at the moment, but you obviously can't see that. Now we can go on all night with this tit for tat or we can agree to move on and put a bad day behind us. I don't come on to this site to argue with fellow bears, even if I agree with their posts or not.

BigWull. I agree did you notice the hurt on Stuart McCalls face today, I know he ain't everyones choice but he is available and I don't think he would command a big wage and I believe he could salvage Something from this team, and get us over the line. But saying that I would take another year in the championship rebuilding under a good manager.

Johnnymac. Do you think I don't know how bad we are or what we need to get us back at the top table, we will not always be in the mess we are in, and I've never said anything about spending lots of money, if we had a decent manager these last few years who could have spotted a player we could have had a pick of decent youngsters like the two lads from Queens Park who got away instead of journeymen who are past it and have no sell on value if needed. we will be back and unlike you pal I will never bow to that lot in a million years, no matter what.

I cannot believe you lot done a half a lap of honour for beating a poor Rangers team. Rangers teams of the past would have tanked you lot rotten, as for Scott brown class/hard my arse. go and enjoy night pal because we will soon be back better and stronger and from what I've seen of your mob then we have nothing to worry about.

Can we send half of these players on one way tickets to oz mate. if I had one wish today it would be to play opposite Scott brown I would let him know he was in a game, I cannot for the life of me understand why players are scared of him, he about as hard as a wobbly jelly.
