Nice piece from Gary Ralston RE Morelos. He has to keep his cool tomorrow and stay on the park, yes he will get pelters and yes opposing players will wind him up but if he wants to labelled a £20m player then he must rise above it and stick the ball in the back of the net in what is the biggest game for any Rangers player!

Was just going to post about this, great piece of writing from Ralston on oor Alfie.

2.) 28 Dec 2019 10:53:29
Just read it there lads after reading your comments. Every game is becoming a witch hunt for Morelos. I believe they are trying to hound him out of our game but in their naivety and not knowing his strength of character, they are just making him more resolute and determined to get it up them. It's driven by pure fear of his ability!

3.) 28 Dec 2019 11:58:41
🤔 You lot do nothing but criticise those papers but when one journalist crawls up his backside you're all salivating over it.

Crikey 🤦‍♂️.

4.) 28 Dec 2019 12:40:27
Yermawsbaws away n pull the head aff it.

5.) 28 Dec 2019 12:55:17
Salivating at someone in that world having balls to write about it! disgraceful what he has to put up with kudos to Gary Ralston I’m no fan of either of our top 2 tabloids but that’s a great well written accurate article.

6.) 28 Dec 2019 13:04:23
Yernawsbaws. So you think it's okay for Aberdeen fans to have that banner?
Really, get a life.

7.) 28 Dec 2019 14:00:40
C of Ibrox, bit deep, you don't know what drives his scoring ability as much as anyone. It could be fear of failure. He's a big boy and so called hounding out game etc is a non starter because he should be mature enough to know everytime he bangs one in sticks two fingers up to his detractors. The only real detractors he has is Scottish Media who like to paint him a psychotic weirdo. What makes me laugh is Scottish Press talking bout tic players winding him up. IAH what can they honestly do? His English pretty limited so sticking tongues out shouldn't affect anyone. But IAH if things like this are what p*** him off Gers and cauldron of Scottish football wrong place.

8.) 28 Dec 2019 14:59:44
I must've just imagined him running to the Motherwell end and giving it get it up you lol.

9.) 28 Dec 2019 14:17:48
Agree Yerna, all too easy to fall for the flattery of media inserting a positive article as part of its strategy to undermine.

10.) 28 Dec 2019 16:44:54
Phil Payton, if you re rwad my post I think you'll find i didn't mention Aberdeen or Fredo.

What I pointed out was the embarrassment at those comments, calling that article a 'well written piece' whilst any other day and any other article would have been ripped to shreds and that paper branded the daily rebel or something equally as ridiculous.

And dsgersfan, I would certainly but Mrs dsgersfan already helped me with that for today.

Enjoy tomorrow 💚.

Here's a question, if we fail to win the league this year does SG get a crack at it next year with so much at stake? Does it depend on the points difference? say anything between 1 and 6 point gap he gets another crack and anything greater than 6 then he doesn't get a crack?

suit

1.) 27 Dec 2019 18:52:40
Unless we come 3rd SG gets my vote. We consistently punch above our weight in Europe with teams on 10 times our budget, were a close second to Celtic and pretty much humping all others. Robbed in the final, what more could he and the players do on the budget we have.

2.) 27 Dec 2019 19:02:25
From my own point of view of course steven gerrard remains our manager for next season, if we do happen to lose out on the league title this season. He's signed a new contract don't forget, it continually changing manager's, achieves nothing. He's improving rangers in every way big style and we must allow this drive and continuity to continue with stevie G at the helm! I'm looking on the positive side that gerrard will win the league title this season anyway. Onwards and upwards for me.
We're now really close to overtaking the "ANTHILL MOB", in my opinion anyway.

3.) 27 Dec 2019 19:14:35
Suit we are stuck wi him win lose or draw he has an extended contract and if we wanted rid it would bankrupt our club unless he just agreed to leave without compensation or the rumours of a billionaire backer are true.

4.) 27 Dec 2019 20:03:30
No need to worry chaps, Rangers will win the league this season, simple as that.

5.) 27 Dec 2019 20:31:22
Steven, gerrard loyal, ime with you on your post, in mr gerrard we trust, be it this season or next, w. a. t. p.

6.) 27 Dec 2019 20:37:27
Sir Walter 1, that's some statement,
'we are stuck with him'! I'm glad we're as you put it, stuck with Steven Gerrard as our manager. The improvement in our club from when he became our manager, 'till now is superb and there for all to see! Said from the outset, that steven gerrard will win the league as rangers manager! Get behind the guy and our players!

7.) 27 Dec 2019 21:57:22
If Gerrard had been appointed back then instead of Warburton or Caixhina we'd be there by now. Believe in SG.

8.) 27 Dec 2019 22:19:51
Steve g shall leave if we don't win a trophy this season. That's only my opinion. 1 point 7 points makes no difference as 2nd is 2nd.

9.) 27 Dec 2019 22:59:43
We are stuck with each other Sir Walter. I believe you don't get what it takes to be a Ranger. However being a Ger and a Scot i'm open to your opinion.

10.) 28 Dec 2019 09:56:08
Suit, doesn't matter who's in charge stakes still high. IMO SG still man improving gers and man for foreseeable future. IAH can't see past guy. Most fans must see he's best gers manager in decades and may I say at mo very difficult to replace anyway.

11.) 28 Dec 2019 17:03:34
We need stability and to let a manager build something. sscking managers every 2 years helps no one. Gerrard has done a magnificent job, hope he's here s few years yet.

Team for Sunday in a 442 formation

Mcgregor

Flannigan
Goldson
Katic
Barasic

Tav
Davis
Jack
Kent

Defoe
Morelos

The reason I have went for a change in formation is it provides better balance in the team. We have a natural right sided player and it is solid at the back with plenty of options going forward. I just feel this is a game we can't afford to lose and we won't dominate as they will have a natural CF playing this time with home advantage.

suit

1.) 27 Dec 2019 13:37:51
You can dream but it ain't going to happen. He won't change to an un-trialed formation. well actually it was trialed and was a disaster so not sure how you would think it would bring a balance to the team.

2.) 27 Dec 2019 13:42:39
Not a chance. Flannagin isint fitabd we never play 2 up front either. I would be testing JJ (for maybe the last 20 mins) against Frimpong. Kent won't get much change against him I don't think.

3.) 27 Dec 2019 14:13:24
Why would you go to Porkheid and change the system?
Go and attack them and let’s win this match! We proved in the Cup final we are more then a match and let’s go for it🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

4.) 27 Dec 2019 14:40:37
Just going to keep scrolling on this one.

5.) 27 Dec 2019 15:47:53
No 442 for me on sunday pal, as its not a game for tinkering when we never play that system! My starting 11 against celtic on sunday would be-
Mcgregor
Tav
Goldson
Katic
Barisic
Davis
Jack
Arfield
Aribo
Morelos
Kent
Simple as that for me!

6.) 27 Dec 2019 16:10:25
Sorry mate there’s not a single chance that will be the team for Sunday.

7.) 27 Dec 2019 16:32:43
Steven Gerrard loyal. I'm with you on that team.

8.) 27 Dec 2019 17:51:40
Suit . imagine Stevie went fir anything like that team and we got beat? It would be carnage . even on here . Team are playing great why tinker . all we need is a tad luck and it will be our day . it will come . Probably Alfredo putting it through foster legs or him punching in his own net . The luck has to change and they know it and will be terrified 👍.

9.) 27 Dec 2019 20:20:22
Paul ime the same as you here mate, don't know why, lol, just my suspicious mind maybe, but poster also predicts we will lose alfie, in january for 11 million, you couldn't get an old pair of alfies boots for 11 million, i smell a rat, is that the saying,?

27 Dec 2019 10:28:06
The next few weeks are going to be a real test of our character and resiliance as a squad and club because there is the real prospect of going into the winter break 8 points behind albeit with a game in hand and coming out of the winter break minus Morelos. I'll be astounded if he doesn't leave in January. There is no chance that there will be no offers coming in next month. The 3 factors that will determine whether he stays or goes is how desperate are we to keep him?, how desperate is he to stay/ leave?, and how desperate is our financial situation? Anything over the £10m mark and the board will give it serious consideration i feel. This is a massive few weeks ahead!

suit

1.) 27 Dec 2019 11:39:17
I'm a glass half-full person suit, so we could equally go into the winter break only 2 points behind with a game in hand and possibly a better goal difference. Even a draw at the piggery wouldn't be a disaster. I do believe SG has already stated that Morelos is going nowhere in January. It would be crazy to sell him halfway through the season when we at last have a real chance of winning the league. I think he will go in the summer, especially if he helps win the league with 40+ goals.

2.) 27 Dec 2019 11:42:52
The board has stated as has S. G that he wouldn’t be sold. If he continues to bang in the goals then his value will only go up.

3.) 27 Dec 2019 12:26:38
Anything over the 10 million must be seriously considered? That would mean 11m must be seriously considered. I like most bears would be extremely p! $$ed off if a bid like that was not seriously laughed at!

4.) 27 Dec 2019 13:44:48
10 million? You serious? Mate honestly have a word with yourself.

5.) 27 Dec 2019 15:50:39
I'm with you DOIGER! I'm also a glass half full person. We're so very capable of beating that mob on sunday mate! 👍.

6.) 27 Dec 2019 21:53:36
As1974, I've already stated i think there are some imposters on here, mate.

What's the problem with clubs vote's being made public? After all it seems acceptable for clubs to be disclosing their votes and attempting to influence the outcome of the vote on a group chat?

Null and void was the cry but when that wasn't an option yous change your tune and want the season played to a finish knowing that there is a strong possibility this won't be allowed to happen.

Remember this vote is only to end the season if the season can't be played to a finish. I feel for Hearts etc but yous have nothing to play for so stop pretending that yous do just to try and prevent 9 in a row when you had the chance on the park to stop it and blew it. Reality is if the season is played to a finish the gap will be a lot more than 13 pts.

If you want to kid on this season never happened just like you pretend 2012 never happened then that's for your own wee world to decide but reality is your season was over before the shutdown.
