The usual rebuild has to start now. and it starts at Boardroom level all the way up. We are still ahead in the trophy department but now by a Hair. under no circumstances must we let them equal 55 or even the cup haul, so the scottish cup is a must win now. How they went about business on the park against Killie i'd troubling I must say. Yes we keep our manager as surely he also has had a wakey wakey moment. We must now bring in players who want to sweat blood for the blue jersey and on a footnote the days of the Roofs etc, getting a free wage and bringing nothing to the table must be done. otherwise we all know the consequences.

before anyone critiques my post word by word, the rebuild at board level means the way of thinking that starts at youth level. Scouting and Nurturing players and making way for their big chance much like young patterson and Mccausland for example . The Board must find a way to know a future star in the making and offload to those big pockets down south . Easier said than done? success is never easy . we have a decent manager who knows the game and this season past will be a learning curve . it starts by seeing Rogers off. His arrogance is getting very hard to watch.

As a football club we need to establish a playing style that stays constant no matter who the manager is, too much building teams to suit the managers style subsequently when the next guy comes in it’s all change.
We recruits guys that understand this it’s non negotiable
Young hungry players with one or two more experienced individuals should be the way forward, here’s hoping we recruit well this summer because it’s becoming embarrassing the number of titles they’ve racked up in the last 15 years.

Agree Sima - I posted something similar a couple of days ago, albeit probably not quite so eloquently as your own post. We need an overarching playing style (that can be tweaked as global trends change) and we recruit managers, coaches and players who are adaptable to the style.

Am I the only person who thinks we should take a bit more time to rebuild, if we can bring in 7 or 8 million in sales and maybe have 10 of our own money to spend, rather than have a scattergun approach and sign 8 or 9 players and hope for the best would it not be better if we prioritise maybe 4 positions that we spend 4-5 million per player on and get decent quality in, maybe add 1 more in January then do the same next close season, yes it might mean sacrificing how we do next year ( it might not) but surely better to slowly add the required quality than totally rebuild again potentially with more dross and then require another rebuild the following summer?

Jackboy that's how it should happen but unfortunately the way we've been run leaves us with 7 or 8 out of contract leaving not including any we sell or want to move on so will need to spread it out. I expect another busy window with about 10 new players.

thats what happens when you replace 7 or 8 players at one time. those 7 or 8 will have similar length contracts so in 3 years or so will all expire.
