I was told a few weeks ago that I knew nothing about players when I said James Trafford would be in the England squad ahead of Butland.

Butland in fact can't get in the provisional squad with four goalies named and nick pope still to return to the new season.

You were correct John when you said that.
Butland is a great keeper but was never gona force his way in it was only rangers fans calls for it no one else. GS has his favs.

Butland unfortunately never had a chance of the Euros, there was next to no chatter about him outside of our blinkered fans, which is also why I think we should brace ourselves if he goes, we won't get what some on here are quoting!

Butlands ball distribution and control is not great, he nearly cost a goal early doors recently and scrambled the ball for a corner, he's a great shot stopper no doubt about that, but there more required at International level.

Don’t disagree with what you say porter but Jordan Pickford is not a top class goalkeeper, I think he has a howler in him. I think England will be the team to beat at the euros but centre back and goalie are suspect.
