With the new that Tav and Goldson maybe away this summer, if this happens who will be captain I am not sure who it could be as not a big fan of goal keeper being captain but don't see anyone else in the squad just now who it could be.

Butland seems the only natural choice. Souttar could be one if he’s going to be a starter. Sterling for me is a no but Ano may say him. There’s nobody else due to the turnover.
I’d say Butland and I don’t like keeper captains.

We will need to sign three or four experienced players especially if Tav and Goldson leave.
Natural progression would be Vice Captain promoted to Captain.
Options for Captain - Souttar, Sterling, or Butland.

Soutter starting as a CB isn't the answer let alone him being captain. Balogun would be my choice.

Butland is probably the logical answer, if it's an outfield player, who can u see that has the gravitas to pull it off? Sterling? Yilmaz? Souttar won't start every game or Balogun either, It's a tricky one to solve with high % of M/ F FWDS being inexperienced or experienced being replaced. Who knows SWS may be right and it's Tav.

I don’t think Souttar is good enough at the moment. Think we’ll need better. I’d take the money for Tav and Goldson in a heartbeat, wish them well and thank them for their service. PC may bring in his own man and make them captain.
