If you think Dessers has been badly treated
Imagine the folk front line NhS supermarkets McDonalds
Bus driver taxi drivers etc etc get everyday for around £12 an hour
Nobody really says they should leave to get better pay in Saudi
Whatever money they get doesn't make it right but theirs folk who are less fortunate take way worse abuse than your football players who are taking home thousands of pounds at old firm teams here in Glasgow and for a fortunate majority who get paid well around the world

Wee Mary down the supermarket sticking your shopping through
Or your local taxi and bus drivers who get physically abused and at times yes even assaulted at times does anyone think of them? Same way you think of big Dessers

I'll rephrase it's does t make it Right but far more folk take abuse everyday in their jobs than your average well paid players with physical harm even happening to them

We should all take note in how we approach situations in our everyday lives
Even on your daily commute how many have beeped a horn thrown a finger or even shouted abuse at another driver without think about it

But will come on a fans forum and want to stick up for players who get criticised for playing a poor game
It really is a crazy world ?.

2nd place is as good as last place in the spfl. The fans are fed up with 2nd place. It's not even a good Celtic team that's wiping the floor with us.

I know, some on here greeting about a player on 25k a week, living the life, but getting pelters because he's part of an overpaid, overhyped, bunch of underachievers. Maybe if this bunch hadn't soiled the bed, they wouldn't be getting it tight, eh? Then, as a winner, they could go home at night stress free, and could finally enjoy spending all that money!

Dessers got his money because someone thought he was worth it. If the fans want to complain, go after the guy that "wasted" the money on him. And yeh abusing people regardless of money says more about us and our society than anything those people are doing.

I also take your tone to imply that the wealthier a person is, the more they are expected to "cope" with the abuse? Or those who pay the ticket are somehow allowed to abuse players. absolutely ridiculous. Dessers gets that money only because fans pay that price for admission. Don't like the product, stop buying it, . and everyone can be hurt regardless of wealth.

Hmmm not sure I totally agree with that Stig. I worked in McDonald’s for 5 years when I was young and never once had 50,000 people scream abuse at me telling me how s**** I was or to get to f. In fact if any customer ever did get abusive a manager would take over and refuse the person service.

Football and sport in general seems the one industry where it is ok to openly scream abuse at 'employees' every time they are at work and nothing will be done.

We can be hard on players as fans, but with social media these days all football players get abuse. I'm not saying it's right, but it does happen everywhere. As much as we can be toxic, we can be an amazing support also, so much so that we have been that 12th man many times in Europe last few year.

People saying players talk and players will be put off coming here, yeah they also talk about how amazing and passionate our fans can be. It's a 2 way street, not all negative. The guys from 9 in a row etc get treated like royalty when up in Glasgow.

We as fans need to see a team fight for us give their all and we will do the same in return. We can be some of the best fans in the world, if our team gives us something to shout about.

it seems to me there’s a few who are on a mission to change the way football supporters behave the world over, and as long as there’s a football they will never ever change that

there’s also more than a few who can’t differentiate between criticism and “ abuse, i’m pretty certain the editors don’t usually allow abuse, but they allow criticism , dessers to me is simply awful, but i’m not abusing him, i’m saying he’s awful, that’s what i think of him as a footballer, i’ve not followed football all my life to say everyone is great, nor am i here to abuse someone, and i see very little abuse on here by others, only honest opinions.

Could be far worse. He could have Gary Linekar and Shearer criticising him like those poor little England boys. ???.

Problem for me is we are all probably the most frustrated we have ever been as a fan base. It is understandable due to our lack of success in recent years.

But this does not legitimise shouting abuse at our own players. Neither does trying to justify it by saying other people are dealing with worse.

If we want our team to be successful there is more chance of that happening if we support the team rather than pick out individuals to pick on.

The only other thing I don't get is why Dessers. Players like Lammers and Lawrence almost deserve crap from the fans because they done absolutely nothing last year.

Dessers contributed way more than those and others but they get an easy ride and he gets jeers at every opportunity.

Lammy it's not but we've had consecutive poor managers and no team being allowed bed in. Just class CH and we're good to go. Bit belief in manager I see a big turnaround. Know buy period got bit to go but so far Tim press reporting little from the dark side. Maybe Davie Provan / Johnny Doyle being looked at.

Too true Kaiser. Watching Foden score in the last Man City game and calling the performance "biblical". Like c'mon man! They're all decent footballers, but to have to listen to the pundits while watching their team is a total turnoff.

Those pundits and their like in the media love to hype that team only to destroy them when they can't get the win.

It must do their head in to be told they're mince and second coming of christ, day in day out. Hell, I need a psychiatrist to watch the English coverage of their games.

tommy gun, you are falling into the trap of believing this online banter page is ibrox, it’s far fri being the same as ibrox where the players are lauded as simply the best and cheered on every week, when they consistently don’t work hard enough, don’t have the ability or act like proms donna’s they will be criticised the world over, this is people on a obliterated chat, many don’t go near ibrox, many do too, but talking like this is same as ibrox is wrong.

Not confused about anything Tom.
Social media is a cesspit. If Players decide to use this then they will get what everyone else gets which is random idiots giving other random idiots a hard time.

I am talking about Ibrox, our home ground, not talking about away fans either as their support of the team is excellent.

It was no surprise to me that the first thing PC brought up was the toxicity of Ibrox over the last few years. He may have framed it differently but that's how he seen it as well.
