If true we won't pay around 2m to get a player now and it'll be a pre contract if we do get him.

From twitter
Rich sharpe reporting
That Blackburn haven’t made a bid and expectations are that cantwell is heading to rangers.

Humph yes he is free in summer but he can’t talk to English clubs until last month of his contract.

Humph English clubs and other approach English clubs bosmans until the final month of their contract, so Blackburn need to have a bid accepted.

Was a championship club not meant to bid 5m euros yesterday that's what the article said that I read, told he will be a Rangers player, if we can't agree a few with Norwich it won't be until the summer, we want him his window. also told he had a medical on Monday.

If this is players we are after then we are in trouble no one will come in January the board once again are treating us fans like nothing really worry for us under this board.

He has a price now and is a free in the summer. Same situation when we were trying to get Souter in last January and Hearts wanted £500k and we waited to the summer.

If he’s agreed terms with us then someone could bid 100 mil and there’s feck all Norwich can do about it. Maybe they were forced to decline whatever bid there was as he’s already signed for us or he has indicated his intention to? May not be the case but it seems more likely as if it wasn’t then Norwich straight rejecting someone would be weird as they’d know there is a high risk of losing him for free.

5 million euroes. bit strange from a English club. surely its pounds?

Hearts wanted 500k and a sell on clause for John.

Not sure who but someone had said Cantwell would be announced tomorrow? Is that still a possibility?

Looks like he’s travelling somewhere in his insta story bluemark so it’s definitely a possibility.

Sound stormtrooper I think we will get him for what Blackburn offered.

Bankie the big difference being we want him more than we wanted Soutter last January.

100% correct RFC but think hearts only put the sell on fee to make sure rangers didn't get him January in case we actually did offer them the 500k then they would have looked stupid the sell on clause gaurenteed rangers would wait.

I agree we sometimes need to pay fees bit not for a guy in last 6 months of deal sign him up then ? to Norwich we have plenty to get us through the remainder of season why not play Lowry till end of season give him a fair crack to see what he's made of.

Norwich city are allegedly looking for £4million for todd cantwell, for any club wishing to sign him this month ? Rangers most definitely won't pay anywhere near £4million for him this month and if nothing can be negotiated down with norwich city, i think we'll need to sign him on a pre contract to come in the summer, if we're wishing to sign him at all ?.

If Beale feels he is worth the money and wants him now then we should be spending the money. We are still well short of quality and it will only get worse come the summer if we don't sign some quality new players to replace those that are reaching the ned of their contracts. Either that or we will be like Dad's Army, and will be playing second fiddle to that bunch in the East End. I can't see this being something that Beal wants or indeed would have agreed to when he joined. We are still only at 12th January, there is a long time yet to go before the transfer window closes but let's hope that by then we have two or three quality new signings on Board and have signed up a couple more on pre contract agreements. There are plenty of quality players reaching the end of their contracts this summer. Just look at the list from the EPL, the Championship and Europe.
