alec mclesh on sky sports announcing villa must sell to buy as he has spent all transfer money that was available could cueller deal be finally getting pushed through?
Believable10
Unbelievable5
Villa been happy to deal for some time. Maybe not what people want to hear, but it is Carlos that is taking his time to assess options in Spain. CL qualification would have helped this one. {Ed032's Note - There is no rush in his decision}
Agree0
Disagree0
Personal opinion deal is done carlos will join rangers at end of transfer window when he is fit to play
Agree0
Disagree0
Takin Wilson on loan would work better for us not sure cuellar a good signing think jusharusz would be better if not then Wilson on loan
Agree0
Disagree0
I would rather they payed the 3.5 mill for juhasz who can play right away and is a regular international and has regularly been playing in europe.
Agree0
Disagree0
Big Carlos has had a long term injury, who knows when he will be fit again and for how long. He did well for us for a year but think we should pass and get someone in who is fit and ready to go. If we realy want him wait until january window at least
Agree0
Disagree0
I also believe the carlos deal is done, take wilson on loan and save the cash on the hungarian. The defence i believe is looking like our strongest line. still need a centre forward and a ruffty tuffty midfielder.
Agree0
Disagree0
Stuff villa, mcleish and cuellar. villa took cuellar off us, mcleish always wanting to take our players, miller and ferguson for example. and cuellar went to villa so he could get in the national team. the 3 of them go well together and can rot. Birmingham fans can laugh at big eck begging for cash for more players as well.
Agree0
Disagree0
I'm also of the opinion in not really being too fussed if we sign Cueller or not.
Imo he is now injury prone with his best days behind him. The big hungarian lad would be a far better prospect for us.
Agree0
Disagree0
To be fair, hardly think a couple of million will do anything in the prem

T-Bear
Agree0

Who is murphy away on international duty with i read online when i searched his name he has pledged himself to roi not tht it makes any difference if he signs just curious ?
Agree0
Disagree0
Who said Whitts and Broaders and even Edu were or weren't Rangers quality? I said Murphy and Lopez are not Which they aren't. My personal opinion. If we sign an Arsenal Reserve/U-19 player or a player from Spain who has made no real impact at La Liga level, how can you fight your case that they are Glasgow Rangers, most successful team in the World, quality?
{Ed032's Note - Kyle Bartley is an Arsenal Reserve. How much have you seen of Lopez? I know i haven't and is only young and has a list of admirers.}
Agree0
Disagree0
Fair enough Bartley, but he came as a back-up to our thin squad and got a game due to injuries. We shouldn't be signing players like this now. We need guys to come in and start, score goals and be match winners
Agree0
Disagree0
The thing about getting arsenal youngsters is that they can all play football. there have been many good players came out of arsenal that havent made it there but went on to be stars.
from what i remember charlie adam wasnt rangers quality now he is an 8 million pound player.

ed any news on the tax stories in the news papers don't know what to believe can you clarify things up for us please. {Ed032's Note - from what i know and have read is that we have an outstanding tax liability of £2.8million. And apparently an extra £1.4million penalty payment. Hope this helps}
Believable4
Unbelievable1
Skysports news say we have agreed to pay 2.8m bill but are disputing the 1.4m fine
Agree0

Next time the bayliffs come give them Broadfoot and Edu, hopefully that will square things up
Agree0

How can you dispute a fine?
Agree0

Would this be the same fine as the 40 million one ed? {Ed032's Note - I know nothing of a 40million fine. But apparently the HMRC are claiming a £24million fine}

Cheers Mate. Big Sasa is one of the few players left that you could call a true pro. Gives his all in every game and never makes the papers for the wrong reasons. both our clubs would be better if we had more players like him, Davie Weir, Emelio and John Kennedy in their ranks. I am sure Sasa would be cheered up with your message and as many True Bears have already said We wish a speedy recovery to Emelio ( Izzy ) and hope you have a good run in the Europa league. Hope you Win nothing in Scotland Thou. ( sorry pal, felt a bit sentimental There ). All kidding aside, take care Bud and enjoy your season. Jimster.

Gregg Wylde gas signed a pre contract with west brom {Ed032's Note - Source?}
Believable8
Unbelievable19
Ed i thought you could only sign a pre-contract in the last 6 months of your current contract? {Ed032's Note - That is correct. However, if rangers allowed wylde to talk to west brom just now, then he could agree a contract and not sign until a fee has been agreed. I highly doubt this is the case}
Agree0
Disagree0
His cousin and he say ally McCoist isn't getting much respect at training
Agree0
Disagree0
This is obviously bull
If he had signed a PRE contract rangers would sue west brom for millions
He has 12 months left on his deal, you can not talk to another club unless u r in the last 6 months of your contract or your club gives you permission
Which neither is the case
So jog on timmy
Pato
Agree0
Disagree0
How do u know he hasn't got permission just wait and see until it comes out in the news
Agree0
Disagree0
Here my dad works with his cousin and its true neil lennon wanted him but didnt want him getting any hassle and west brom are offering 10k a week plus add ons because hes only getting offered £900 at rangers and he knocked it back so mccoist is treating him like s**te for not accepting it
Agree0
Disagree0
Guttted when i dont see gregg wylde in the starting line up but there seems to be a whole lot of winjin coming from him and his relations seemingly. it was the same with fleck and everyone seems to blame super ally. now i hear the celtic supporting mr wylde has even got macca in his corner. maybe there is more than meets the eye of this young superstar.
Agree0
Disagree0
If Ally McCoist is not getting respect at training i think it is disgusting. He is an ibrox legend however i think he is getting respect and you are making it up
Agree0

Hes getting respect but hes going to end up losing it after an incident were he was taking training and bougherra put his phones in and just sat there and mccoist never said anything

I was just wondering if I'm the only person that thinks we need a right back so we can push whittaker into RM he has and always will be a below average RB, but for some reason he is a really good midfielder.

McMillan looked good v Chelsea, I'd give him a game on Sat.

Ortiz plated there most of his time in spain
Agree0

Agreed Bud. Before we signed Whitts from Hibs I thought He was a fantastic player. On hindsight all the great games he has had before and since signing for the Bears he has been used in a more forward role. I am quite sure that this is where Coisty sees his future as a Ranger. Jimster.

Just heard that the back page of tomorrow's record says Danny Wilson's rejoining on loan bears, anybody else able to confirm this? Would be great.
Believable10
Unbelievable9
We need to be getting players in on permanent deals. We've already brought in Bartley as a young centre half on loan. I'd rather see us spend some money on an experienced centre half
Agree0
Disagree0
I would Love to see him back in the Blue of Rangers. I think he would get more Games for us than he will with Liverpool and as a Scotland fan as well as a Bear I feel that he is the man we need not just to help us but to help his country as well. It would be nice if Scotland could get to the Euro championship But we dont have Too many players availiable to fill the C/H position. Danny Wilson will be a Scotland if not a Rangers great, But we as a country need to build a team that can Qualify for the next World Cup. I feel that Wilson and Goodwillie are both players that if times had been different would be playing for the Bears but you cant have everything. I also feel that we are blessed to have Naisy,Greegs and Wallace, not to mention Young Ness and Hutton Who could take Rangers and Scotland to the Heights that we used to be in the early 70's. Jimster.
Agree0
Disagree0
Danny wilson wanting to come back for a 2nd crack at getting Davie weir out the team. Get stuffed, Rangers offered him a good deal before he ran to Liverpool not just for extra cash but Kyriakos was even getting a game. Stick with your Scotland friendlies mate. enjoy
Agree0
Disagree0
How do you Know what kind of deal Rangers offered? An trying to keep Weir out of the side? Take it you didn.t see many games wilson played in?
He got his chance when Bouggy went AWOL. Ill-informed comments
He has expressed his desire to come back to Rangers, and for me that shows what he feels for our club. What he earns, or what contract was offered was paper talk. Look at the situation with Wylde.

Why should Roland Juhasz give up personal money to push through a move it was Anderlecht that apparently said he would be allowed to move for X amount then changed their mind. Moving on, Danny Wilson wants a move on loan back here and he's as mature, capable and accomplished as any defender Scotland has we should definitely go for him vs Denmark last night was a stand out.

I believed the Lovenkrands hype first time. great pace and potential, played the odd good game especially against celtic. taking him back now when the fire has clearly just about burnt out is a no go. that loven feeling has clearly gone and we dont need another dvd from this poser in our shops. YES i am one of the idiots that bought the first dvd but i was younger and more gullable then.

This is my first time posting but I wanted to share some transfer news. A family member(can’t say who obviously) is a notable member of the board and I have been told that we are close to signed Lorient defender Arnaud Le Lan for a fee of around 450k. We are also seeking to sign Oussama Assaidi who plays for Heerenveen for 1.2mill, but might be a problem with work permit. Please don’t listen to other rumours these two players are amongst a list of others who Ally wants so watch this space.
Believable5

Im convinced people just come on here and the celtic page btw and post players names who are doing well in their football manager teams. Folk think if u pluck an obscure name from a some provincialclub in europe every1 will think it must be true coz how else would this guy know that player.

The defender le lan no chance he's 33/34. The Moroccan Oussama I would be very happy to see arrive. He has good attacking qualities.

New manager Ally McCoist has admitted that he would like to bring the 19 year-old to Ibrox and, with Madjid Bougherra having left the club and the attempt to sign Roland Juhasz from Anderlecht ending in failure, Wilson may get his wish.
He won all three domestic honours in Scotland and also gained valuable Champions League experience in Walter Smith’s side before his £2 million move to Anfield last year.
Wilson won his fourth Scotland cap in Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over Denmark at Hampden but he clearly has more chance of starting for his country rather than his club at the moment.
"Going back to Rangers on loan would appeal to me because I spent a lot of time there – from when I was eight years old to 18 – but as far as I'm aware there has been no contact from them,” he said.
“I think I'll probably have to go out on loan, although I'm not sure where. There are a lot of players at my club so it would probably be best for my career to go somewhere else just now.

Pure Guff Mate. Take off the blinkers. Danny Wilson never had a poor game for us and if thing had been better would have been signed up as a Ranger for life. Ask yourself the question that if you were offered the money that Liverpool are paying him compared to what we were, would you not have made the same decision. Look at the other side of the city and see what Happened to a great young player called John Kennedy. A great C/H with a fantastic future who's career was cut short by a horrific tackle. I think football players are paid too much but it is a profession where you can have the world at your feet one minute and be a ( remember that young lad we had ) the next. Compare him to Miller and they are very similar players when played through the middle. McKay still hopeful of Gers move
Thu, 11 Aug 15:21:20 2011
ShareretweetEmailPrintRangers transfer target Matt McKay flew back to Australia on Thursday still hopeful that a proposed move to the Scottish champions would go ahead.
The Australia international held talks with Rangers earlier this week and was given a tour of the club's training facilities before starting in the Socceroos' 2-1 friendly win over Wales in Cardiff on Wednesday night.
Rangers had been keen to confirm McKay's signing before the Europa League registration deadline, however, the 28-year-old told Press Association Sport he would now fly home after problems securing a visa delayed the deal. McKay has not played the required 75% of Australia's competitive internationals in the past two years to guarantee a visa after only establishing his place under new boss Holger Osieck in the past 12 months.
Rangers can still take the case further and the energetic left-sided winger hopes he will be given the green light for a dream move soon after spending his entire career in Australia to date.
"We're just talking at the moment. There's a few things to work through, but if the opportunity comes I'll grab it with both hand and go there," he said. "I went up and had a look at the club when I got into the UK earlier this week. It's a very prestigious club and to have the interest is great.
"It's very impressive. I've seen the training ground which is unbelievable and the stadium. The atmosphere they have at games is phenomenal as well. They are a massive club, they're up for titles every year. I'd love the chance, but at the moment I've got no idea when a deal will be done." {Ed001's Note - that is the work permit issue.}

Please bring Lovenkrands back, I watched the season review 2002/2003 I know he's obviously older now but he's still got his speed and he loves Rangers, his finishing was great too for his goals in the season review something I didn't know he done well.

Id like to c him bk he scored against us in a pre season friendly last yr. :)

Lovenkrands was pants and certainly not a winger as his crossing is awful.

A very good goal poacher, something we don't have with KM gone.

I'm the poster of that original message and was at the Rangers vs Newcastle match he did the longest lap of honour ever lol. He walked around the whole pitch after the game applauding the Gers fans, I really think he could do a great job.
Agree0

Would love to see him back. But surely he';s worth a few million... unless he really has terminated his contract due to personal reasons, not sure Newcastle would like that though. {Ed032's Note - he is in the last year of his contract.}
Agree0
Disagree0
Yeah he's a good player, but 31? do we really have the money to replace him after a couple years when his feet slow up? I reckon we should get a younger lad in and develop him, rangers are champions because we keep a close knit squad. Not like 'them' wjo bring in new players all the time

INJURY UPDATE
Papac Not Serious
11-08-2011
SASA PAPAC will miss Saturday's trip to Inverness but Rangers are keen to point out that he does NOT have pneumonia.
Close friend Nikica Jelavic is expected to shake off a knee knock to take on Terry Butcher's side and Dorin Goian could also be back but the match in the Highlands is probably too soon for Davie Weir.
Papac travelled to Bosnia earlier this week with the intention of ending his international exile but felt unwell and was immediately ruled out of the game with Greece.
He will return to Murray Park where he will be assessed by the medical team who have confirmed that he does not have pneumonia, contrary to reports elsewhwere today.
Papac won't be ready to face Inverness and is suspended for next Thursday's Europa League Play-off first leg with Maribor after two yellow cards in the Champions League qualifier with Malmo.
However, he could be back to take on Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday, August 21.
Jelavic, meanwhile, suffered a slight knee knock in the friendly with Chelsea last weekend but he is on target to play at Inverness.
Dorin Goian and Davie Weir have been working with the physios all week as they recover from hamstring strains and it is the Romanian centre back who has the better chance of playing on Saturday.
Rangers have also to make a decision on whether Steven Whittaker can play as he has a broken toe.

I'd have him back in the absence of any other options {Ed001's Note - he has not impressed with Liverpool, I have to say he has been poor unfortunately. He clearly needs a run of games and it would be good for him to make a loan move.}
Agree0

Dont want wilson back, we need experience for 4 in a row. remember how bad he played at parkhead when we should have been beat 10 - 1 but big jig popped up wae a crackin header for 1 each. i thought weir was gonnae collapse that day wae wilson running aboot like a headless chicken.

Why? could sign up better than him via transfer never mind loan and already have Bartley who IS a better player. He made his bed... He can lie in it. Why give Liverpool kids game time, they are the ones who wanted to sign him to warm the bench.

Nobodys saying he's terrible ya nugget but he's no great and to the guy who said he's better than half the current rangers defenders... Thats's rubbish aswell. He's a good young player, no more, no less. We need established guys who can come in and do well. Takin chances on youngsters that thought they were too good and left before their career even got started is not the answer

Got laugh at people giving Wilson jip. He was quality when he was playing with us and a lot of top club were looking at him. I'm sure if he were to come back, he'd be a better player - training with a higher standard etc. He breezed the SPL and with some experience next to him, he'd breeze it again. Love how people are writing him off now cause he doesnt play with us, you'd be the same people who were saying he was the best young defender is the country not that long ago. I cant see this being the whole truth as we have heard time after time that people surrounding weiss dont want him to come back to us. I would be willing to sick my neck out though and say hes wasted at Man City he clearly has ability at this moment in time and hes not a little boy anymore hes 21 going on 22 hes a year or 2 younger than the like of messi im not tryin to compare the 2 im just making the point that if he doesnt get 1st team football his talent could easily be wasted. His heart clearly is at ibrox and i do believe that he is more than a badge kisser im sure it was clear for every1 to see that some thing really did take him at rangers and i believe he truly does love our great club and i am not surprised. I would think we would be doin good business to get him on a permanent basis from city anywhere between 2-4m as i dnt think he has a future there with the wealth there if mancini thought he was good enough surely he would have begun to breakthrough. I would rather spend 500k extra bringing the wee man back where he belongs as he has the ability to create somthing from nothing for us and undoubtably could be a star for us and no matter how much u spend elsewhere we have proved 3 years in a row that you cannot buy a players love for the club
Agree0

Agree Mancini is not keen to loan or sell Weiss - but if we made a reasonable offer to buy, I do mean reasonable not laughable, Man City would consider it. I believe Weiss would love to come back to us and would do a good job
Agree0

Mancini will not loan him as he is looking to OFFLOAD HIM... he would prob accept a bid of 3m+ i reckon.... Weiss has already stated he would love to be a bear but his father (who is also his agent) has stated that a career move to spain would be HIS preffered choice. If weiss steps up to his dad and says im going to Rangers theres nowt he can do but its father & son so its awkward.

{Ed047's Note - why don't you ask the Celtic Ed why he allowed numerous Rangers fans to post similar comments on their site when Izzaguire got injured? You're right. You're not being funny. You're being pathetic. The guy that posted it deserves thanks for his comment. I posted your comment to see what you get

im sure papac and izzaguire and even severin will be greatfull for the support they receive in troubling times,
hope izzy comes back just as good if not better but an ankle break is hard to come back from
and i wish papac a speedy recovery from what is a potentially fatal illness
but could be the end for severin if so i wish him all the best

Exactly grow up your everything thats wrong in Scottish football {Ed047's Note - It's safe to say the majority of posters are supportive of injured players irrespective of who they play for. Unfortunately there's always that minority and I've already banned two IP's that were much worse than the post earlier.

Firstly i asked a question, wasnt cheeky wasnt insulting in any way, which was more towards why the OP decided to open his post with "as a proud TIM and IRISHMAN" when it shouldnt matter which team you support or where your from when it comes to wishing somebody a speedy recovery from a terrible injury???? secondly i wouldnt ever wish any kind of injury or illness to anybody no matter which team they support, religion, creed or colour they are, some people should maybe seek to clarify what a comment actually means before they jump to conclussions and directing abuse, f***in idiots, now ed47 be a big man and lets see if you print this one. {Ed025's Note - i will post it..you sound like a decent human being to me..

As a proud Prod and Ulsterman I thank you for that and would Celtic consider selling us Paddy McCourt, did you see his performance for Northern Ireland and his goals, great skill and the Ginger Whinger doesn't play him to often.

Thank you very much ed25 i appreciate you posting my last comment, and can I just confirm I am a decent guy I do wish Emilio Izziguire, Sasa and Scott Severin a quick and speedy recovery, Scottish football needs good players and these guys all fall into that category, cheers.

think a good team would be
Mcgregor
cuellar juhasz dorin
bartley
davis ness bedoya verhoek
naismith
Jelavic
what are your thoughts ed and other ppl
Just brilliant mate 4 central defenders. exciting stuff. {Ed032's Note - Does look like a good side, however, the interest in juhasz is set to cool down and we are looking at other targets. Verhoek looks like he is staying in Holland as he has apologised to both Rangers and Forest for wasting their time. I would also like to see Wallace in there somewhere.}

Get mckay in that team. trust ian ferguson, charlie miller and craig moore. watch the matt mckay compilation on youtube and see the bargain of the decade.

Calm down you idiots yous havnt even sen bedoya or mckay play yet(just like ortiz+edu)
Agree0

I also posted this same formation a couple of weeks ago. Think it would work well with Bartley sitting infront if the defence. Also you need the two wide players to be willing to get back and defend so Wallace and Naismith (IMO) could do this.

WHY OH WHY DO WE INSIST ON PLAYING PLAYERS OUT OF POSITION?? DAVIS IS A NATURAL BORN CM AND THE ONLY TEAM HES PLAYED DOWN THE RIGHT FOR IS US {Ed001's Note - actually he used to regularly play wide left and right for both Fulham and Villa. Have to agree though, he was terrible wide for them both.}

Mcgregor
cuellar wallace dorin

i have made 3 changes to tht line up i have took out bedoya n verhoek n replaced them with mckay and ortiz i have also took out juhasz n replaced him with wallace tell me what u think lads

Cuellar, Bartley, Davis & Ortiz being played out of position.... why dont ya just stick Shagger up front with Jellybaby and we can put Broadfoot in nets... also think Alexander would make a great CM.... WISE UP IS WHAT I THINK

I'm not saying that these are going to happen but i have a list of some strikers rangers should buy and they will probably be cheap:
Adam Le Fondre - Rotheram - 24
Jaye Rodriguez - burnley - 22
jamie murphy - motherwell - 21
johnny russel - dundee utd - 21
reply to this post to add to the list.

What Scotland played well and with or without the weather I think we would have got a result the one goal the Danes scored was a very rare slip up by McGregor apart from that I would say Scotland had the game under control and showed good signs of a much improved side lets hope we can keep moving up and touch wood get into some international finals

Rumour has it that if Rangers were to go down paying 20m plus with the tax avoidance that the whole of the EPL teams will be probed into by HMRC Now that would be a DISASTER {Ed032's Note - How do you know this?}
Believable6
Unbelievable9
They have to pay £2.8m and the £1.4m fine was settled when tax sheriffs visited ibrox today
Agree0

Heard the same as they all used the same tax strategies for the tax avoidance. Not just EPL teams but also Septic

If RANGERS dont win ther case th bubble will burst in epl an they will b back 2 normal
Agree0

Unfortunately at the time sceptic had a team that wouldnt have paid 50% tax between them
Agree0
Disagree0
Yes I agree, pretty guarantee most EPL teams have been at it some time in the past They would have to be probed into aswell If this happens to be true @ Rangers then Mr Taxman your going to have to be knocking on all their doors It's only fair
Agree0
Disagree0
I don't think anything should come of it HMRC do make a bulk of their money from footballers especially in England That doesn't mean it should be any different though If a team like Rangers are punished then it should go for all IMO Rangers are probably all innocent in this it's "probing" remember which doesn't necessarily mean that the club has done any wrong Only time will tell If it happens to be true then I reckon it also has happened with other clubs, that has to be a certainty Let's hope everything is fine though FYI I don't support any football team
Agree0
Disagree0
The tax strategy is called EBT and HMRC has been defeated twice in court for trying to attack it. The 1st case was against Phones 4 U for £20 million. The second was trying to fix a PAYE / NIC charge against the sums loaned, again it was defeated. The problem for us (RFC) is we did not execute the tax deeds correctly, therefore HMRC can file for enforcement of tax......better look at the accountants who implemented it Oh and by the way Arsenal were the biggest users of the scheme and they are not under any investigation...makes you wonder...are HMRC Arsenal fans ??
Agree0
Disagree0
Every club has been doing the same thing that rangers has. Paying money to players in offshore accounts is not a new thing. Its like Man Utd paying rooney 250000 a week... he gets say, 100000 which is taxed. and then the other 150000 to a company called say, wayne rooney holdings. this would be for image rights which do not come under the same tax levels. all clubs do it. not just the gers.
