just a quick wee question that's not important but wondered why celtic and dunfermline played one game extra than everyone else

Believable11 Unbelievable18

It's simple. Everyone else has payed 1 game less.

;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Leauge cup final is next weekend and celtic are in it so the leauge game got brought forward

Agree0 Disagree0

The game was brought forward because of cup final next weekend

Agree0 Disagree0

So has Kilmarnock, it's because they are in the league cup final there league games were played in advance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its because there not playing nxt week as celtic r in the cis cup final mon the killie if they wernt they wud have been playing dundermline nxt week

Agree0 Disagree0

We are playing in final

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok I never thought of that

Agree0 Disagree0

The game was brought foward from this coming weekend , as incase u did,nt know celtic are in a final .

Agree0 Disagree0

Gees mate ....... Uv given that mob the chance to mention the cup final! I was trying to forget about that one ...... That"ll b 2 industrial strength paper bags over my heed to drown those Gloating bandits out. Anyone for Blackpool next weekend!?!?

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares what Celtic are doing

Agree0 Disagree0

Yip, It's a tin cup anyway ........ Bucket and spade for me next weekend!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the Hectors will be spending many more final and semi final weekends away in Blackpool...all though don't know what Blackpool has done to deserve such visits from the paper bag brigade..... Will you all be wearing your tops in the Scottish bars to show support for your team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ever heard of the league cup final thats why celtic played dunfermline rangers are playing dundee united to catch up

Agree0 Disagree0

You care or you wouldn't have bothered to comment. PL8NKER

Rangers will be hammered hard by the SPL within the next 10 days got this news from a close source watch this space

Believable54 Unbelievable34

Lets start putting our names in when posting on here. That way we can be called on forecasts that turn out to be utter garbage.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for that mate, but in the next 10 days "this space" will be virtually impossible to find. Post your name though, then we can watch it. Lucky you...better sources than the press !

Agree0 Disagree0

About time the spl and sfa got off their high horses.if they had checked out white in the first place we wouldn't be in this mess.they should try and protect their members instead of trying to destroy them

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont have a telescope Pedro

Agree0 Disagree0

The spl dont hammer anyone!

Agree0 Disagree0

Timmy seemed quiet recently until our coming rescue now they are back throwing stones and causing problems sad.......

Bluebear

Agree0 Disagree0

Bluebear , us Timmys are quiet alright cos your ed doesn't post many of our comments for some reason(the truth must hurt)........Stevie {Ed001's Note - don't talk rubbish. The only ones I don't post are for very good reason. So perhaps you should take a good hard look at yourself if your posts aren't coming through.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What's sad is all you bears believing some mega rich investor is going to come to the rescue lol keep dreaming its just not going to happen and d&p know this

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that when we play Dundee Utd. Maybe they will get a player sent off so we dont get hammered to hard.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Ed...its sad that the only fun you get is on our page posting....or not posting mince...enjoy your success..spend time on the timmy page basking in glory....we don't want your hate..so jog on.

Bluebear

Agree0 Disagree0

"What's sad is all you bears believing some mega rich investor is going to come to the rescue lol keep dreaming its just not going to happen and d&p know this"

I think you'll find that "d&p" stated this interest themselves so check your facts in the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

You must be sensitive little souls if what i've posted makes you upset, just one piece of silverware to be picked up before we come over to yours for the party of all parties......jogging to the treble bluebear............Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

1. d&p never stated possible investors were ''mega rich'' 2. d&p have close links to whyte, a man not to be trusted as you gullible bears well know 3. these so called investors may seriously be looking at investing in a newco to avoid a massive debt. check your facts

Agree0 Disagree0

Another green eyed monster !

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think they have the heart to hammer rangers considering they wont exist soon by the way polish the spl trophy for us we will collect it on the 25th

Agree0 Disagree0

If yoo want the trophy polished yoo better dust yoor trophy cabinet where the league trophy sits its been layin empty long enuf

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason the SPL met recently without Celtic, was to agree punitive measures against Rangers.
Celtic did not wish to be criticized as being anti rangers and did not attend. Rangers will have the tight to appeal their hammering.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah, the mighty SPL! They must feel so brave now we"re on our knees eh? Let's face it they wouldn't have had the guts any other time. And as for the 'evidence' well we"ll see. The cockroaches come out the woodwork at times like this, the witch-hunt is truly underway and the stench is green, yes green and ginger fuelled kack!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not as dusty as your trophy cabinet is going to be for the foreseeable future

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont know how rangers fans can think celtic fans are scared as no one will do a david murray with you its just not happening, no one is sinking between 30 to 100m, depending on how kind HMRC is, and then sink further 10 million in playing squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok things have gone wrong there is no point in us Kidding ourselves that we are going to come out of this with a slap on the wrist and then all will be ok. But at this present time the people who are running the club, are accountants who have probably never even been to a football match, But I just hope that whatever, measures the footballing authorities decide to take against us, that they do it this season and then let us move forward, I hope this is not going to drag on into next season, like this blood sucking tax case. let us know our fate, let us take our punishment and move forward building our reputation and team with pride.

Agree0 Disagree0

As far as I am aware Celtic weren't invited to the 'Gang of ten' meeting.
It seems though they are to name their price for a newco's parachute into the SPL if RFC are liquidated.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers(Currently being run by D&P) will fight this. The argument being that the SFA and Craig Whyte were at fault, and not "The Club". The SFA for their non existent fit and proper persons legislation, and Whyte for failing to honor his requirement to pay the clubs way. Former directors, Johnston,Greig,Bain etc were removed by Whyte for asking questions regarding his takeover. So yes do keep watching this space because Rangers may get off a lot lighter than some people may hope for.- Stevie-A-Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

You cant seperate the "club" and Whyte", he owns the club and all actions he took, where club buisness.
By this same logic, can you then seperate all Murrays deals that now dont appear to be Rangers best interests?

The Best outcome is Liquidation, where a new club can replace the tainted club left behind.

Agree0 Disagree0

In addition to other penalties, the SPL are to impose a huge fine. This will make the SPL creditors and have a say in any rangers resolution with D&P. So for a period, the SPL will own a piece of Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

A better option is to sneak Rangers back into the SPL but have points penalty for say 3 seasons. The other 11 get their gate and TV money, Rangers don't pay a penny in fines and they have to fight relegation, making it interesting for everyone (but will probs still finish second).

As for it being White's fault - that makes no diffrence. The point is that the team had an advantage of money they shouldn't have had.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2012 20:13:29
surely if and when there is new owners they will get a share issue amongst the fans and recoupe at least 50 million back of what they put in and possibly more so they must be looking at going down that road they know the fans will take it up this time, as DM mistake was saying he would put it in himself if the fans didnt buy into it I think that was his mistake.

Believable17 Unbelievable29

Like how successful the last share issue was?

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason fans never put in the last time was, sir dave had racked up debts of 80 mill & wanted the fans 2 bail him out, none of any funds raised was 2 be invested in the team so the fans said your debt you deal with it, this time it should be different when we come out of admin, any share issue will be used to help club rather than pay of debts, but I still think we should use a fan membership scheme like they use in other countries some1 said on here a few weeks ago that there was something like 230,000 likes on rangers offical website out of these people if we could get 50,000 paying £10 a month thats is 6 mill a year coming in for doing hee haw thats better than having share issues all the time
NTYABOW

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real, 50,000 rangers fans doing a direct debit for ten quid a month, continuously? There really is desperate ridiculous stuff on here. We will be able to gauge the appetite for giving away money for nothin with the RFFF.

Agree0 Disagree0

The very best the fan base could come up with wouldn't top £10million. Especially in these tough times. £10million is a hell of a lot of money 50,000 fans giving £200 each is a big ask, considering nobody gets anything back.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd pay a tenner a month to the Gers no problem ....... Give the guy a break mate! We re all on the same side. Think the 50mills a bit ambitious though ....... Lots of bears wi balaclavas outside Lloyds bank to finance that much lol. Or maybe we just need some rich Bankers bonus ........I said Banker, steady on!

Agree0 Disagree0

3rd poster says shouldnt be used to pay off debts but to help club, at this moment thats the same thing

Agree0 Disagree0

The seized £3.6million will be returned to Ticketus bringing the £24.4m down to £20.8m. However, there is continual interest.
The strategy for paying offTicketus is a share issue. So the fans basically pay for David Murray's Lloyd's debt or BO'S borrowings.

Agree0 Disagree0

2 the guy who says 3rd poster if you read my post it says when we come out of admin, most of our debts will be settled & the money would then go 2 help the club, 2 the guy who says get real rangers have 40,000 season ticket holders & fans throughout the world as you can see with the 230,000 likes on the website, so I think we could get 50,000 easy barcelona have 100,000 membership scheme but they don't have 100,000 season ticket holders so you would get people with feelings for the club who would do it, so even if we only got 20,000 that would be 2.5 mill for hee haw which is better than a kick in the stones & it wouldn't be a direct debit it would be a standing order

Agree0 Disagree0

Before all of this I had never hear of Ticketus yet the old directors mentioned they only used them at the end of a season for a few years to tide us through to next season ticket sales.
Why was this never publicly stated before at AGMs or in published annual reports? Wonder what other gems are to be uncovered.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think there is enough money out here with fans to make a dent in any of this massive problem, or even pay salaries of a decent team .Murray knew this and Whyte knows this. It has to be liquidation to be resolved.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it is all talk and no action, get organised.and do something.all you are doing now is waggling yer gums.get into your pockets, JAKE

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2012 19:10:25
I hate to burst all our bubbles. But the more I think about these takeovers the more I wonder..when Murray was trying to sell it who actually wanted to buy ..Nobody because of the debt and the big tax case ..So why when our debt is even bigger would there all of a sudden be all wanting to buy ..the more I am listening to these business people talking the more I don't see it

Believable41 Unbelievable23

The history of the clubs at stake now and it wasnt the first time thats the way I see it, or would you like to see both club and history gone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed. The risk of extinction wasnt there before where as now, it has made people sit up and take notice. The fact that nobody came in for the club earlier does not bother me. As long as we get a buyer now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because of the worldwide publicity, more people are aware of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

D&p have to sel lbefore 16th of march cause if they dont they have to pay last months tax bill

Agree0 Disagree0

May be Lloyds Bank did a poor sales job first time around !

Agree0 Disagree0

They need to focus buyers into putting up the cash pronto. the club could run longer in admin. but that would evemtually mean selling off all first team players. dnp need to do their job fast. once there is a new owner cva will happen. rangers have not lost the tax case. new owner will stablise the finances but they will also need to bank roll the club for the next few seasons because no bank will give rfc credit. i expect the new owner will have a share issue to the fans but maintain a controlling number of shares. i think we will struggle for a few seasons. now is the time to play young players. but thats why murray park was created.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think new buyers top priority will be to retain top player as the only way to progress financially is to have a strong team on the pitch and have regular european football .cups=cash

Agree0 Disagree0

No bank will give Rangers credit ? Lol. And what if Rangers had a guarantee from a new owner behind them. AEG as one example, would these banks still be reluctant ? Just speculating...as you are.

Agree0 Disagree0

Entering admin is a form of bankrupt. so yes, no one will loan money to rangers. AEG have lots of money, they won't need to borrow against rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

You arent bursting any bubbles cos you havent a clue the same as everyone else on here. Only Duff and Phelps Know so only they can do the bursting of the bubbles. When they say 7 bidders have now become zero then i will have no bubbles.

Agree0 Disagree0

Settling at 10p to the £1 would mean debt is peanuts to certain interested parties. If the NY Rangers owner (apparently interested) took over we would be ******* minted.
WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Simple the HMRC sweating at the chance of losing the case and wanting to make a deal with us.

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC sweating at losing the case?
They have already said if they lose they will appeal.
On the other hand if HMRC win even if Rangers appeal the amount becomes payable immediately.
I think most if not all of the bidders are positioning themselves for a newco, without any debt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look there's £50million debt now and the big tax case for over £50million coming out soon against rangers as its impossible to defend. The stadium needs £20m spent on it in repairs and the team totally needs rebuilt with £25-35million but we can't even pay the salaries of this quality of players (only 25% of their wages). The investment needed is truly massive. In the EPL such an investment would deliver good returns, even the bottom EPL teams make more revenue than Celtic or rangers, I believe we're having smoke blown up our chimneys....

Agree0 Disagree0

We are at a point where its a very bad investment. Any potential investor must be waiting for liquidation and THEN will be happy to help fund newco. Ticketus may be the exception, its very hard to figure out what their legal position is now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because administration means that a CVA is possible, and quite likely. And to everyone saying that HMRC will appeal, the HMRC haven't ever said this, this has come directly from Craig Whyte. The new owners won't have to pay anything like what they would have had to pay when Murray sold up.

Agree0 Disagree0

CVA - IF (and thats a big if), will not be for anywhere near to 10p in the pound.
HMRC have to set a benchmark, or it faces the possibility of clubs all over the country doing exactly the same thing, and only having to pay back peanuts.
Whatever happens I can't see how UEFA won't get involved.
a) RFC liquidated then parachuted back into the SPL - Why? (I don't think revenue will be a good enough defence).
b) Newco - Possibility to fall foul of the UEFA 'State Aid' regulations.
Both scenarios risk the possibility of very heavy sanctions.

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC have said that they dont want Rangers to fail and we wont.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reading back old accounts it seems RFC broke even if they qualified for group stages of CL, and lost 10 million if they did not. They did not get to the group stages in 2011 and CW was unable or unwilling to finance this loss. He seems to have run the club on tax money until January in the hope of selling players to make up the shortfall. When this did not materialise he was again unwilling or able to put his own money in and called in the adminstrators.

It is unclear how much the big tax case influenced any of the decisions he made in his 9 months in charge.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not wanting rangers to fail and giving away public tens of millions of pounds is two very different and conflicting things.
Their job and integrity takes highest priority.
HMRC will lose all integrity and respect if they don't push rangers hard all the way.
If Politicians get involved to knob le HMRC it will be the end of their careers, Only takes one HMRC employee to whistle blow and go public.

Agree0 Disagree0

Now cheaper to run. And for Ticketus, a chance of getting their money back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not every taxpayer in Scotland or the UK is a Rangers fan, HMRC can not just give away public receipts.

d&f have confirmed intrest from far east and america bbc news

Believable23 Unbelievable30

Are AEG Entertainments the or one of the american bidders ?

Agree0 Disagree0

They are one of the bidders. The other is a consortium.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been on all BBC websites; BBC Scotland, BBC main homepage, BBC Sport, etc,.....nothing there at all?!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Interest and buying are two different things, I advertised my car for sale two weeks ago, I have had about 30 - 40 phone calls from interested parties, two have turned up to view it and both eastern European, with ridiculous low offers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry missed something . WHO are D&F??

Herald reporting the North Atlantic league is back on the agenda. I know we have more pressing matters to attend to but wouldn't it be nice to be involved in such a league.
Proposed countries would be Denmark, Norway, Holland, Scotland, Belgium & Portugal. The division would look like Rangers, Gothernburg, Malmo (revenge), Rosenburg, PSV, Ajax, Brugges, Porto, sporting Lisbon, celtic and others.....
Heard it all before but you never know

Believable22 Unbelievable39

I think Rangers will be only too relieved if they are still part of the SFL - never mind the SPL or the NAL

Agree0 Disagree0

Who said rangers would be in it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Who said the wouldnt an to all those idiot celtic fans even if we go under we will be back in spl as a newco FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

We wouldnt stand a chance in that league

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic will only join it if Peter liewell can get onto the NAL F.A.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jealousy is the root of the Liewell nonsense - bet you wish your club was run like he runs his.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right pal. id love a chief exec thats more interested in our rivals business than his own club.
j1985

Agree0 Disagree0

NAL won't let in insolvents.

Denmark, Norway and belgium don't have coastlines on the north Atlantic.

D&Ps Administrator, Paul Clark admits he doesn't actually know who a number of interested parties are. He wants to ' get them round the table' to find out who they are who they are aligned with etc,...

So he doesn't actually know who callers and emailers are.

Meanwhile, news breaking that pranksters in Hong Kong have been pretending to be far east bye tested purchases. ( Celtic fans?).

Believable18 Unbelievable31

Pranksters eh?? typical tim they are s**tting themselves!! just shows how stupid they really are believing that there was ever any danger of us going under! the league will be ours again and they will never get there filthy hands on it again

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice try timmy . they've already held several meetings with interested partys last week with more planned for this week FACT

Ally McCoist: We're wounded and some people are enjoying it. I suggest they have a kick now because we won't be down for long .

SCARED ARE WE TIMOTHY. THE GERS ARE COMING BACK.

Agree0 Disagree0

And then you woke up mark.

Agree0 Disagree0

Coming back sronger to does timmy remember last time we were strong they called it 9 in a row

Agree0 Disagree0

Glasgow Celtic champions !

Agree0 Disagree0

Scared ha of what? A team the blew a 15 point lead ha

Agree0 Disagree0

The far east would never be associated with rangers as all things blue in their culture is unlucky and red is very lucky.

That's why they love man it'd and Liverpool so much......it's as simple as colour....rangers have no chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Such bullishness from rangers fans. Yesterday it was certain death. Tomorrow it will be the same again. LIQUIDATION.
When will you learn from all this? Where is the humility?

Agree0 Disagree0

Scared for yous. Pride before a fall, watch out for that cliff.

Agree0 Disagree0

WoW.........and here was me thinking this was a rangers site ...but i see more and more celtic fans on here ....i like this site ...there is some silly rumours but there is some that play out......what why come on to a site and declare that your team has won the league or that our team are no more ...so sad. i take all storys...on here ...in the paper or on tv with a pinch of salt....till there on the stair case holding a rangers top i keep an open mind.......but this is a fun site

Agree0 Disagree0

If red is so lucky in the far east and blue unlucky then why does the japanese national team play in blue??

Agree0 Disagree0

Just read on some websites that some of the people from the middle east were hoax

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense. Paul Clark said nothing of the kind. Let me help you with your interpretation. He knows who they are, but WE don't, as they are conducting their due diligence quietly and methodically. I am happy to be corrected if you can post a link to back up what you have suggested.

Agree0 Disagree0

And.............where is this news breaking.......god how pathetic, they are about to win a leauge and they spend their time on a rangers site........laughable.

Agree0 Disagree0

D&P need to say lets get round the table because they know it has to happen before the first of april as the new bill on tax laws come in then there 10p in the pound is out the window, b

Agree0 Disagree0

This has played out to be true.

How is it that half the posters on here still don't know that the deal with Ticketus is for three years. Not four. Three.

Believable20 Unbelievable11

The deal was initially for three years but extended to four due to non payment of first instalment

Agree0 Disagree0

It was 4.

3 initially then 1 more later to pay charges.

Agree0 Disagree0

Coz people love to make up utter bull from there bedsit especially the septic 1s they shd just worry about there dole money

TB

Agree0 Disagree0

Its 3 simple as that

Agree0 Disagree0

What deal with ticketus ? at least that's what the administrators are saying. Null & void.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the people who think that HMRC will do a deal for 10 pence in the pound, i will give you guaranteed information, this will not happen, Whyte contacted Hmrc to do a deal for 10 million, this was rejected almost instantly. Ask the moderator to google me, and it might give you an insight into how i know this, just wanted to clear everything up over doing such a little deal, CVA will be agreed but it will be for more than is being branded around on forum's.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tb;what a generalisation that is.pathetic.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the OP.....get your facts straight.

HMRC gave ALL companies the chance to come forward about EBTs etc, Rangers didnt come forward, they had to chase Rangers and are now making an example of them for it. HMRC will NOT do a deal with CW, only a new owner will get the chance of a deal, which COULD be as low as 10p in the pound.

Agree0 Disagree0

My understanding was that the deal was for 3 years and was extended to four when Whyte couldn't make the first payment in full.

fellow bears, spoke to my brother in law on friday.he works for a guy who knows a well known businessman in lanarkshire.he told me that this guy and his mate,a very wealthy businessman are in talks with duff and phelps.i like you was very sceptical about this news.i asked him why these two guys would touch us with a barge pole.his answer was this.hmrc have agreed 10p in the pound.ticketus also 10p in the pound.craig whyte heehaw.d and p working to get a cva by the start of the week.the reason i have not mentioned these two guys is they have stressed they want to stay out of the media.i also asked where was this guy last may.he thinks this whole craig whyte thing was set up by murray as no one would have touched us with a barge pole.it will be interesting to see if my bil is right!!p.s timmy.enjoy it the noo.canny wait tae see awe yer greetin faces next season

Believable21 Unbelievable56

Heard the same rumour n know who u mean isnt there another big name in there too tho?

Agree0 Disagree0

Complete and utter nonsense.

Agree0 Disagree0

You should be sitting waiting,on santa, coming down the chimney.where were all the money men the last 4 year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jim MCColl did have a place in Lanarkshire - EK, but I'm sure he sold that. His name has been kicking about for a few weeks now, so he's not new.
Douglas Park, has a few businesses in Lanarkshire, but his name has also been banded about. I live in the Lanarkshire area, and can't think of anyone else who would be big enough... unless it's Mr Tunnock or Mr Irn Bru.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would some1 who wants to buy rangers that doesn't want to be known tell your brother who tells you who tells us who tells another stupid rangers fan?how much s**te has to come out!!about the tax case why doesn't every1 or business just not pay there taxes then strike a deal to save money!country would be in a big state! Please please please stop talking s**te and until mr tax man comes out and says they'll strike a deal stop talking Craig whyte!!before you say d&p says it they also said there's overseas interest!!mmm so why are the desperate for Murray to show his cards??if there's that much interest they shouldn't be bothered if they do or don't show there cards!!rusty the tim

Agree0 Disagree0

So after giving us 24 mill , ticketus will accept 2.4 mill an that's us quits aye? You , your brother in law and your brother in laws mate are in a pipe dream son!
PaulRFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Hector, we just disposed of Untied in the cup...away as well....another million or socoming our way in fees from playing at hampden....again...are you not so jealous......yes I'm crying, crying with laughter at the down fall of you lot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not everyone wants to be all over the headlines timmy but well see this week , after all your gloating wouldnt it be ironic if a young richer david murray came in haha yous wd be gutted

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ed, Can I make a suggestion, What about making another one of these website's and give it to the Celtic fan's to use.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would the new owners pay 10p in the pound to Ticketus when the Admin is confident the club has no case to answer? Why did you not put your name to the post? Is your Brother in law a Taxi driver? As B.A Barracus (sorry spelling) from the A Team would say "Shurr Up Fool"

Agree0 Disagree0

To the 2nd last post do you even get irony, yous had a younger, richer,David Murray!his name is Craig Whyte.lmfao

Agree0 Disagree0

The wee Celtic dude that has just about wet himself by the sound's of it, because they beat Dundee Utd.

Why do Celtic fan's "crave our attention".

Do you think we can get you an appointment with the "Establishment". You will never fit the required criteria. The path's not open to you and never will be.

You need to get over this and move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not going to say too much on this post, as i believe your only a young lad and you genuinely do have Rangers best interests at heart. But be honest, it was not your bil who told you this, it was your wee pal from the BB. Now Son, after you finish your cheesy beano's, jog along & finish your homework for school tomorrow. This way, you too can be a Big businessman when you leave school!

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen i am only passing on info givin in good faith.believe or dismiss.like i said i'm sceptical too.i don't care who buys us as long it's someone who can stabalize and put some investment into the team.if a buyer is found then as hannibal would say"i love it when a plan comes together"snarf!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we be gutted if a "Younger, Richer David Murray" came in and bought you?
Have you failed to notice the mess you are in now because of Murray et al?

Agree0 Disagree0

Total nonsense. re the younger murray, murray was younger when he started your slide to oblivion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh n whytes the main culprit here murray made few mistakes but u gt to take good wi the bad at least he had a go , whytes the conman here make no mistake

Agree0 Disagree0

The other businessman is ROBERT BOTTERILL, former owner of spar shops, recently sold to co-operative,

Source- worked at botterills head office/warehouse.

Was made redundant but had a close relationship with the man himself.!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic fans crave no attention. But when the original post slags off timmy, we do need to retaliate

Agree0 Disagree0

Having thought about it, I think the chance of a CVA on the big tax case will be nigh on impossible.
There is much more at stake here for HMRC. If successful it is widely reported they also have their sights on up to 8 EPL clubs who may have been using EBTs in the same manner.
In that case it sends a very weak message out to them (and all other clubs) if they do a pennies in the pound deal.
However if they pursue the full amount and RFC end up in liquidation (OK HMRC will get next to nothing out of it), it puts them in a very strong position with the EPL clubs (they would reap substantially more from them).
It may be RFC end up as the sacrificial lamb (no pun intended), so HMRC can go after the EPL clubs from a position of strength.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly right rangers are the first to get this done as scotland was with the poll tax

Potential buyers (of which there are a few) are pushing administrators to enter cva before any bids put forward. Hmrc apparently willing to accept as little as 10p in the pound which would make our debt to them anywhere between 5 and 8 million.
Couple of interested american bidders brought to the fore by ex chairman alistair johnston. If any of theses bids are succesful mr johnston would return as chairman. In his time as chairman he slashed our debt from 36m to 18m and still managed to provide walter with a decent transfer budget. Lets hope these american bidders step up. Granto

Believable43 Unbelievable34

I think allister johnston is one of the pRevious regime who i would trust , he never sued the club he said how it was , i have one question that everyone seems to hav missed , if we are a club who cw says lose £10m a season how did we slash the debt in the last 4 years whats changed so much in that time???

Agree0 Disagree0

To the above poster good point I was thinking the same only one man can answer that and I am afraid I don't believe a word he says!

Gers1986

Agree0 Disagree0

So is a Rangers fan admitting Walter had a decent budget when he was there? and heres me thinking it was( 3 in a row wi nae dough)lmfao

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC will not be accepting anything other than the full amount they're owed. 10p to £1 don't talk rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Why all the whitewash of former tainted directors? First p Murray now Johnston.

It has already been agreed Johnston managed no debt down, it was all done by Lloyds bank managers in Ibrox and MIH who brought it down. Johnston actually went live on telly at the time saying he couldn't make any financial decisions whatsoever. It was the Lloyds boys on the board doing it all, from his own lips on telly. So no revisionists please!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers fans trying to con Rangers fans by whitewashing former directors, it's not on stop it. It's misplaced loyalty at best and downright deliberate lying at worst. Let's get clean, no more trickery!

Agree0 Disagree0

Fed up answering this.HMRC will NOT do a deal(especially for something as daft as 10p in the pound).they've tried to shut down Port Vale,Portsmouth,Hearts etc for a damn sight less than we owe.Too much crap in the papers and unfortunately, most bears seem to believe it.Look at what's hanging over our club.Would you buy it.No one will buy until tax situation is sorted. We will almost certainly not have a CVA(we owe too much to HMRC)therefore, unless someone is willing to npart with a large sum,say £60-70m for starters,to save the club as is,there is no future. That's it in a nutshell.
By the way,the statement from D & P saying that, basically,Dundee Utd are being deliberatly shafted also,is abhorrent.

Agree0 Disagree0

10p in the pound lol got to laugh!
If enough gers fans say it enough times wishes can come true. Lol
Wake up, there's no legal secured creditor with Whyte bumped out. All creditors can get 100% back from selling the assets.
Who would deal 10p when you can get 100p ??

Agree0 Disagree0

It was 3 in a row without the dough! all that means is the budget was good enuf to beat septic to the title. even tho it was a small budget ntbear

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers offered HMRC £10 million last year and this was before the non payment of all tax since Whyte took over (£9million+vat) and they said no without any consideration!!........ Why on earth would they then decide to take less that the offer last year when their is further monies owed? I wish what you say is true but fact is this is a test case for HMRC and clubs down south are watching carefully as what ever deal Rangers get they will use that as precedence when HMRC come knocking at their door!

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who saying loyyds ran the club , loyyds wouldnt release money it was johnstons job to keep the club goin with wot he had n ge done ok with resources he had dont be fooled tho johnstone fought loydds guys at every turn but with himself n walter smith very good team wd like to hav seen them wi better resources

Agree0 Disagree0

No one from the old or current board. Not one going forward. END OF.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hmrc will probably accept a CVA for this years outstanding tax which is anywhere between £9-15 million. However for the outstanding undecided EBT tax bill hmrc will seek to reclaim all lost money plus fines and interest.

Agree0 Disagree0

LLoyds slashed the debts!

No bull please.

Also he is part of the tainted.

He was aware of the EBTs and the dodgy double contracts. Did nothing .

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would hmrc accept 10m now n not last year?he hows this cos last year the company was bought over with a new owner and new bright future or so we were lead to believe . there now dealing with a company in administration who are half way down the road to liquidation where they could get zilch , its there legal duty to get the most they can so they will have to do a deal or theyll gt nothing n rangers will be gone simple. its a total joke from tge taxman anyway knockin on the door a decade down the line , total disgrace

Agree0 Disagree0

Ebt werent illegal , i dont care wot anyone says i hate the tax man theyve robbed me for years n i do anything i can to pay less every good buisness in the land does .

Agree0 Disagree0

I'ts simple mathematics folks. The 10 Million shortfall is there when there is no european football revenue. Celtic are in the same boat i.e. They sold McGreedy to cover their early exit a couple of seasons ago. If they hadn't they would have made a massive loss as their debt increased during this time. As Whyte had no money, our early exits from europe meant disaster from the beggining.

Agree0 Disagree0

The player salary cuts don't balance the books.
Ally knows they need hard cash each month to keep going.
They're trying through the RFFF to get to the end of the year....they are running out of time as there isn't enough operating money and debts are actually increasing.
Stories of billionaires are nonsense. For the money needed they'd get a better deal owning an English premiership team.
LIQUIDATION is inevitable. Wake up ally and Walter with the begging bowl is the last desperate act to pay D&P to keep it going!

Agree0 Disagree0

EBTs aren't ilegal you're right however they become ilegal if used in the wrong way which we are led to believe rangers did.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have i missed something here, has the result of the EBT case been given.

There is no agreement with HMRC over this, the agreement is in place for the NI and PAYE that Craig Whyte withheld this year that will kick in if other creditirs agree to the CVA. That agreement will see Rangers pay back the full amount owed minus the fines, HMRC are going to be looking elsewhere for that as it was the decision of one man that it was not paid. The administrators couldnt believe the condition of the finances at Ibrox when they arrived. All the information they are getting are making it look like the club was deliberatley run into the ground. This fact is helping the Admin as a lot of the creditors have sympathy with the club.

Regards the EBT case, HMRC have stated they are willing to sit round the table to work out a repayment plan should the case go in their favour.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hrmc like all others owed money will accept around 10p in the pound because we are in admin and on the verge of liquidation if we liquidate they will get less. simple maths.... perhaps not simple enough for el giro timmy! watp

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC will not be negotiating the 'big' tax case as legally the debt is not 'established', the current HMRC willingness to come to a deal is only for the current year debt. There will be no deal for the big debt, if there is indeed a debt after the ruling, until that point... you cant come to a deal on something that doesn't currently legally exist.

Agree0 Disagree0

NI and PAYE (from CW's tenure) will be expected to paid back in full. That money is deducted for HMRC and is not supposed to be used for any other purpose. No way a CVA will be comtemplated for that sum (15mill approx).
As for the big tax case - Anyones guess, but if IF a CVA is reached it will be for a lot more than 10p in the pound. They have to deter other companies from trying to pull the same stunt.

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC can accept the CVA without qualification, or accept it with modifications. .If HMRC reject the proposals, then this has to be reported to the court. At that stage the court can make any order it thinks fit, including terminating the administratorsā€™ appointment there and then or from a specified date.

Therefore D&P need to come up with something which will get the approval of HMRC. Approval is based upon the percentage of the companyā€™s debt ā€œbelongingā€ to each creditor. HMRC clearly have the biggest block vote.

RFC is going nowhere without the agreement of HMRC and HRMC will insist on this years tax (15 million).

Former director Paul Murray's Blue Knights consortium is no longer the front runner to buy Rangers, with a bidder from the Far East appearing to take pole position for the administration-hit Scottish champions. {Ed001's Note - there is an issue with money for them, Murray hasn't got enough of it.}

Believable32 Unbelievable17

They don't have the money up front they require some type of shares issue to gether the capital which isn't guaranteed. So administrators are leaning more towards buyers who have the capital up front to move the club forward

Agree0 Disagree0

If he thinks for one minute that thousands of us fans will put in money then think again. we are all fed up with forking out, we need someone with financail muscle to take the club forward. paul murray is not that man!

Agree0 Disagree0

I for one won't criticise paul murray. he is at least trying his level best to keep the club alive. of course i have reservations as to whether he is the right man who can deliver us the funds to be successful. I do think that someone possibly from the far east who none of us have heard of may step up and buy the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers are effectively owned by HMRC and Ticketus and other smaller Creditors.

They are being run by Administrators and there Assets ; Ibrox, Murray park, car park and players are worth less than the debt.

Why should anyone buying rangers pay the £100m for David Murrays golden years where he lifted trophies got the adulation. The kudos, but didn't pay for that and the bill is now? {Ed001's Note - the assets are only worth less in a resale situation. If it stays as a football club, then a stadium alone is worth that.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray isn't fit.

No former director is fit. It's dirty. To draw a Lind under it we need to liquidate and pay off creditors 100% with our assets and start again with clean people and a clean slate. How can we continue without paying 100% to those we owe? It would taint us forever. And people would forever cast it up to us. We need redemption through some kind of cleansing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye ! ali ba ba and the 40 theives ! s**t !that was the last board !

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't u deed rand hoy Duff and Phelps were brought in as Administrators, with that official briefing. But their statement on arrival was they were here to look after the club and the fans, which they back tracked on and issued a new official statement more aligned with their responsibilities.
Rather than maximising returns for creditors their activities seem to be to keep the club running? Why not sell the players and give the money to creditors? That's what happens in other businesses. Lastly, D&P have been acting proactively as club sales agents!! That's not their business st all!
Was it always their job to extract CW after he put them into admin with D&P? They're doing a good job of it......
Liquidation is unavoidable, the only option is P Murray, no money, no let up on debt, it's over in 3 months, D&P manipulating Ally and Walter to arrange operating cost contributions.

Pointless as MacGregor is off to Spurs in summer not going to stay and play in a Mickey Mouse League even if Walt Disney are next linked owners of Rangers!

Agree0 Disagree0

Kennedy met with ALLy last week in Cheshire. He is very serious about his bid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is everybody so surprised that some players don't want their wages reduced by 75%. Why don't we ask all the bears out there and see if they would be willing to donate three quarters of everything they earn to help the club survive while Whyte continues to dine on caviar in his castle.

Most of the big earners would earn more in the championship than they do in Scotland. We have to stop playing the loyalty card when we can't even promise that Whyte won't come out of all of this owning the stadium and possibly Murray park too!

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2012 02:42:50
Paul Murray and ticketus will not gain control of rangers, Brian Kennedy is working on a package which excludes a consortium but has room in it for fans to have their share, also the billionaire owner of American giants AEG is also thought to have had initial talks with the admin, there are also serious players who wish to remain out of media spotlight monitoring the Scottish club and they seem to have real intent on been kept right up to date with goings ons

Believable31 Unbelievable22

Yeh you are rite there are hundreds of potential buyers out there for this club,the club are as big if not bigger bigots than us so it can only be masons that want to buy the club,why dont you draw breath and take a stance,if they love you as much as they love the club why dont they come up with a deal that the fans own the club,guess what wont happen. you ask why the suits cant make money b {Ed001's Note - there are very good reasons to buy Rangers, if Ibrox and Murray Park are definitely owned by it. Those are the two biggest expenditures a football club has to make, having training facilities and a stadium are critical issues to investors. Especially an investor such as AEG, one who focuses on getting usage from a stadium when the team is not playing there.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted last week that for the club to go forward, Whyte had to be deemed unfit...Result!
Also with regard to him owning 85% of the shares and having a say in future sale etc, well even his "alleged patsies" D&P are saying now that it is their belief that Whyte has no claim to any assets, as they "can see no evidence" of financial input from this wee rogue.- Result!
They (D&P) also quoted as saying
Whyte- "Irrelevant" in Rangers future, and they believe he won't be back at Ibrox. It seems to be getting better bears. Now, having said all that, it could just be positive posturing from the admin boys to attract offers, but whatever happens, if you love your club, and don't want to see it die, get behind whatever initiative you can, whether it's redblackRangers, or Wattie & Ally. Come on, let's make sure that W.A.T.P. who stood by our club in it's time of need, and more importantly, let everyone know that we always will.
Stevie-A-Bear.

Agree0 Disagree0

If I was a billionaire rangers fan or a billionaire involved in sports, I'd make the call to Admjn, get all the data/ finances, be kept informed, etc.... But I wouldn't even think of buying for the £1 at all, even after Liquidation, because Scotland's game is a waste of time and energy and money can always be better spent elsewhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where were these people when SDM was trying to sell us for the last 4 years of his tenure-then CW got us for £1-now they would need maybe up to £50m just to get us back to where we were before CW and that before the big tax case is known-more worrying thing to me is the date 31st march not for a european license but as ive been told we need audited books to get into a scottish league SPL or SL and need to have the books audited by then worrying time bears

Agree0 Disagree0

On bbc website....No scottish cup football for the Hectors next season unless they pay Dundee unt their money...So where are all the funds coming from to support any buyout, No Europe, No Scottish Cup, therefore no money to pay wages....Thats another fine mess you are in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unless an extremely wealthy individual steps forward then liquidation will happen. the level of debt could easily rise to 100m. on top of that 20-30m MUST be put into the playing squad. so thats a heck of a lot of money. who in their right mind would pay all that for an spl team. i very much doubt paul murray and his consortium can deliver that level of funding.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed-----you put a certain twist spin on things. I said Whyte could be removed weeks ago and that his trading could be interpreted as Rangers and others esp Ticketus. It has taken D&P 2 weeks to catch up with me.
Now Ibrox and Murray park value = less than the debt £50m plus big tax £50m so hod can you spin it's the two big things investors need when the debt is bigger? {Ed001's Note - I put no twist or spin on it, your judgement of their value is irrelevant and wrong. You have no idea how much the debt is until the result of the big tax case is announced, and even then you do not have access to the accounts to get a definitive figure. You also have no idea of the value of a stadium and training complex, especially to a football club that would have to build one otherwise. My point was simple, there is a good reason why there are interested parties, that is that a training complex and stadium are in place. No twist, no spin, just a simple statement that seems to have gone over your head.}

Agree0 Disagree0

HAHA!. Timmy is sick that we are pulling ourselves back from the brink. I'm pretty sure we will be in the scottish cup next year but thanks for your concern.

CJM

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but brian kennedy stated 2 weeks ago that he doesn't work with consortiums cos thats not how he works so i think that comment has been blown oot the water.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes there's a playing ground and training ground ( in this selling economic environment, in Scotland's west coast where neither are needed by anyone, their value is minimal) the debt far outweighs the assets. So it would be financially better to build new ones for cheaper than the debt. {Ed001's Note - have you tried getting finance for major building works in the current environment? It is as close to impossible as you can imagine. That is why I am making the point that having those is more valuable than the current debt. You couldn't build them for cheaper in the current climate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers fans must be very well connected. Ive never heard of so many millionaires / billionaires / consortia letting fans in on their plans. I thought these guys made their millions by NOT telling people what they were thinking until it was done.

From the observer
"The joint administrator Paul Clark said there was global interest in Rangers by parties who have yet to declare their hand openly and warned the Blue Knights consortium that it must back up public statements of interest with action. He also praised the Rangers players for accepting pay cuts and said that without their taking a hit to their pay packets the administrators were considering "complete decimation" of the playing staff."

That probably means the Blue Knighs are all fur coats and nae knickers and they admin boys want to flush them out. Also if Whyte, who bought Rangers legally for £1 doesnt want to sell can he be made to ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte cannot be forced to sell.

Agree0 Disagree0

The blue knights is P Murray, two fans groups (both presidents promised a directorship?) and currently the biggest Creditor/ enemy.... Ticketus.
No knights there at all. And Ticketus ain't blue either!

Agree0 Disagree0

The Administrators will say things and deceive and use trickery. It's their job. Throughout this exercise just always remember, they have a relationship and an agenda with Craig Whyte...indisputable by anyone! Shared directorships and he fought tooth and nail to bring them in.

Whyte as owner and shareholder can do a private deal at any time with anyone fit or unfit and sell them his shares/ the club.

The Celtic prankster who called him up was getting it all for£10m.

This is true and would be legal.

Agree0 Disagree0

D&P have just cleverly filleted P Murray's knights. They're finished.

They cleverly went public with the players threatening massive redundancies in days and Liquidation. The players caved in.

They have cleverly extracted Whyte. Has Whyte already squirrelled his money away?

With the salary cuts D&P can now sit on invoicing £1m a month for several months. Clever clever people. Now they get Ally to rope in Walter to front up more operating costs!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody has bought the club yet. There's still millions of £'s owed in debt. Most of your team are on reduced wages. You're still in administration. You have no European football next season. Players wages will go back to normal in June. The debts will still be there in June, except worse. You DESPERATELY need new players to bolster the squad.
Add all those monies together and be honest with yourself. Do you honestly think you're out of the woods?
