mccoist says can't afford jon daly, can only bring in nicky clark

Believable63 Unbelievable105

Where did he say this?

Agree0 Disagree0

Here we go again more crap lies from somebody who knows nothing about rangers where did he say that ih wait a minute he didn't Daly is on a free and we will be getting some players out so how on earth can we not afford him just laughable

Agree0 Disagree0

Sensible Celtic supporter here. Surely it's not rocket science. get best players from div 1/2 to help with promotion. You don't need money grabbing premier league players to gain promotion. Great chance here to build a young hungry team that will reap rewards in the future. be that in future transfer fees or a successful team.

Agree5 Disagree1

Sadly agree with sensible Celtic fan. We do not need to spend any transfer money. Adam Rooney and Gomis are on frees at the Brum, Nicky Law, obviously Clark, Daly but we all know we need 2 centre halfs. I would take Boca back on a reduced wage for a season but Goian, no thanks. There are plenty of others that are available. i'm not too happy that we are paying Lee Mcculloch 16k a week no matter how loyal he has been. How short of pace was he last weekend? Novo, no thanks, still can't control the ball. Miller, Boyd no thanks. I wanna see young players with sell on potential coming.

How are we going to get some players out? Nobody will want ANY of them!

Agree1 Disagree0

Here we go again if you don't like what we here then its a celtic supporter who said it, well believe me, i'm a rangers supporter and even I know we can't afford wages of jon dalys expectations and if ally thinks that we even need players in that bracket then, what has he learned from the past year or so, I will tell you absolutly nothing, still wants to be the biggest spender, which he learned from walter , advocatt and souness 3 men guilty of helping bring our club down

Agree0 Disagree1

so your sayn that you don't wount boyd, novo or miller back do you need your head looked at for 1 wee novo always gives 100% and would do any thing for rangers so for me I would love to see the wee man back home!

Agree1 Disagree1

Yes I would want colin stein back as well would run through a brick wall for Rangers
come on please. Les

Agree0 Disagree0

If we are to move forward as a club we must forget about signing diddies like miller and boyd. Also people go on about mcculloch cause he's stuck by the club. He is in his thirties not to mention the fact that he is rank rotten. Just think of the young players at teams like livingston and falkirk who could be brought in with mccullochs wages. Mccoist isn't bold enough to make these type of decisions and i'm almost certain the football next season will be as dire as this season!

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic fan here. mcculloch rank rotten? have you got rocks in your head? he has been THEE class player of the rangers, and quite frankly, you would have REALLY struggled without him. instead of just struggled! DD

Agree1 Disagree2

If I'm being honest Jon daly has not scored many goals and won't be any good for rangers especially when we can get 2 or 3 good young players with the wages he's on plus he doesn't score that many goals

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcculloch sums up everthing that has been wrong with rangers for years. No skill, no pace, no control equals big lumps up the park!

Agree1 Disagree0

So most of the bears on
here would be happy to
field a team of youngsters
and maybe not get promoted
for a season or 2 cause that's
what would happen without
experience to give them a
hand. billy h

Agree1 Disagree1

Any Rangers fan that slags McCulloch off are of there head, guy has saved our bacon this year.

Also he is not on 16k a week, took a pay cut to 7k a week in new contract. He never publicised it as he is Rangers to the core.

Agree2 Disagree0

Big lee has carried us all season and we missed him when he was out injured. Also been saying for years we don't need Tom, Dick or Harry on 10k a week we only need players of the quality of league were playing in!
The Airport Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcculloch is pure guff! Ibrox season ticket holder 14 years just incase u question my loyalties!

Agree0 Disagree0

That makes it much better, £7k a week for a hammer thrower. brilliant, thanks for cheering me up on a sunday night lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Daly is going to sign for rfc. I hope rangers get back boyd novo miller thomson and smith. would like to see burke come back to rangers we need him for the midfield

Agree0 Disagree1

Bring boyd, thomson, smith and miller back? I dispair!

Agree1 Disagree0

Then u don't want the best for rfc.

Agree0 Disagree1

If these players were rubbish then how when they played for rfc they won silverware and been champions.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have an idea, why not just field the legends team. It is amazing. Last year when Rangers started in Div3 everyone said it was the perfect time to give youth a chance, build a team from the academy, look to the future. Now, fast forward less than 12 months and all of a sudden it is get him, what about him can we have 2 of them as well. All of these players you talk about are now years older, yards slower, pounds heavier and if truth be told, worse than they were the 1st time round. Please don't be confused with wee Nacho loving Rangers, I am sure you guys all love them as well but that doesn't mean you are going to get a few thousand a week to play for them. He wasn't a prolific goalscorer when he was there first time round so why would he all of a sudden be the saviour now, to be honest he couldn't trap a dead rat in a phonebox but that is just my opinion. You need a couple of experienced heads in there and you have them, Mcculloch, Black and Wallace, there is also Templeton. Add in the boy from QOS to score some goals for you and then you start to fill the other positions with youth players, players who have been nurtured for this very day, that will be more than enough to win Div2 then next year you add a wee bit more to that and when you get back to the SPL there will be money available to bring in some quality. Maybe that is all pie in the sky but it is rational pie in the sky. Allymac

Agree0 Disagree0

Have the people who are slagging McCulloch realised what has happened in the last year?
He took a large cut in wages after administration, stayed this season on a large wage cut & scored 17 goals in the 27 league games he played despite starting many in defence and midfield. He may not be the most skillful player in the world, but what more do you want from the guy? I was never a big fan of him in his first few seasons at Ibrox, but he has made a huge contribution this year. Only Wallace, Little and McLeod have been as consistent.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely we only need players for premotion this buy youngsters with sell on value don't make sence surely our under 17 s the once that beat celtic in cup final a coupleof weeks ago will be the full team when we get back to top league

Agree0 Disagree0

1st it was a £10m warchest now we can't afford 2 free transfersand with our wage bill of over £7m (and that's just the playing squad) its not sustainable lads

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need players like jon daly, he'll be there to pick up a pay check and not play for the gers only there for the money. rangers should be raiding 1st and 2nd division players ' players that need and want to prove themselfs ' i'd rather get 110% out of a okay player than get 40% from a not bad player ' ie look at ian black and what he has contributed?? nothing but red cards and insults. total scheme rat '

With all the rumours surrounding Nacho's return I have to hope it's not true - not judging by Monday's performance. I know he is a legend but c'mon. I'd rather offer Goram a contract based on the many class saves he made.

Believable35 Unbelievable18

Ffs gee the guy a break. He played a game the day before for his team, flew over for this CHARITY match and was probably to eager to impress. He's blue blooded and the type of character wee need.

Agree0 Disagree2

No he, s not we need a young player who we can sell on and make money on so we can move on with the club, no going back move on Rangers please move on

Agree1 Disagree0

FFS stop living in he past. Bring in decent young talent and move on. Last thing you need ( yes I support Celtic) is money grabbing ex players. Bring through young talent that can be moved on for a decent profit. As much as it may stick in the throat the business model at parkhead is maybe worth copying.

Jd

Agree0 Disagree1

No thanks nacho!
He wasn't good enough to play for rangers when he played first time! He, s part of the reason we ended up in the financial trouble we were in, signing and paying thousands in wages to guys like novo and broadfoot who were no where near the standards of a rangers player. Sure he put a shift in and ran his heart out when on the park, but I'd do the same, and I doubt ally would give me a contract now ( I'm 42!)

Agree0 Disagree0

So Novo is a legend now The guy was a £50 grand player no bette rthan that at his peak And now you wajnr him back You would be as well as asking for Peter McCloy to go in goals ya muppett

Agree0 Disagree0

Jd is right guys, the Parkhead model is the way forward for us. We should have been ahead of the game with Murray Park, but as usual someone along the way has balsed it up. We need to be producing our own talent and nurturing it rather than bringing in high paid mercenaries, who let's face it haven't been upto the job in division 3 (Kyle and Sandaza immediately spring to mind)

Agree0 Disagree1

Novo was one of the most important and valuable players we have had, winner against Red Star got us into the Champs League, goal against Pana (away), Hibs on Helicopter Sunday.

Yes he missed a few chances, and his first touch wasn't great but £ for £ I reckon he paid for himself many times over.

Wouldn't bring him back mind you, young hungry players is the forward for Rangers.

Nacho Novo will always be one of my favourite players (along with guys such as John Brown, Ian Ferguson, Davie Robertson) - always these players can be proud of the contribution to the club unlike some the imposters we've had.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real we let him go before, because he was crap

Rangers will bolster their attacking options by signing nicky clark and kenny miller, personally I wouldn't touch miller!
