In this mornings journal "The Lawyer" IT
It states Gary Whitney has asked to join
be a defendant in the case the
adminstrators are bringing against
Colyer and Bristow. (Strange) The
case due to be heard in October
will now be heard at a later date
due to lawyers having to be briefed.
Also states that original 25Million
likely to be dwarfed; re Rangers loss
of income and liquidation. Very
interesting reading.

Has asked to be joined as a defendant so he can put his side of the story.

No I think he was asking to join as a 'DEFENDER' cos he heard bocanegra was leaving and Clubfoot is p@@h

Andre Moritz, a Brazilian left sided midfielder the latest player to spend some time at Murray park in an attempt to win a contract
Believable18
Unbelievable20
Fully agree. This was our chance to develop a team with a philosophy, full of young players who in time would become technically better than the dross we have at the moment. Instead we seem intent to "grind" out results with a short term attitude to the playing staff. I know Ally is under pressure to win 3 straight promotions etc, but I just feel we are missing an opportunity here to build something designed for the long term.
Agree0
Disagree1
Who wants to win a booby prize?
Agree0
Disagree1
Can he play the long ball?
Agree0
Disagree0
Young players is fine but what happens if they turn out to be good, they leave and we can't sign replacements
Agree1
Disagree0
Who'd have thought we'd have brazilians trialling for sfl 3 ? The suspicion must be he cant get a game for anybody in brazil.
Agree0
Disagree0
He's always wanted to play in Div 3, would fulfil a lifelong ambition...
Iain
Agree0
Disagree1
Its ok playing young players, but its a big ask for them to perform consistently week in week out.
Barrie Mackay looks a great prospect, and we also have McLeod,Hutton,Kai Naismith,Cole, and Perry who can be drafted into the first team.
Agree1
Disagree0
I signed this guy in Football Manager once, he wasn't great although he did score a goal one time.
Agree0

A Brazilan playing in midfield, in Scotland, in winter, in Division 3 ?
This is a joke, right ?
Agree0

Win a contract ?? your throwing them around like confetti buying spl players because your manager is duff and knows he,ll be found out
Agree0

He would be great for the team

Our scouting / signing policy is clueless at best ! Why are we taking a 26 year old "journeyman" Brazilian on trial ? Is that the kind of player we need to climb the leagues, I think not. We should be identifying young talent who will bring added quality and exuberance. Our strategy (if we have one) must be addressed.

Have to agree, feel its Ally's duds all over again. Meanwhile Green confirms more players to leave. Pound to a penny it's the five biggest earners remaining.

Kevin kyle is my main question mark. What the hell?
Agree0

Im sure we have an excelent youth programe at murray park for that. Need the old heads for the long haul
Agree2
Disagree0
How would u feel if
we did not have a look
he signed for another club
and turned out to be very
good and u find out we were
offered him
Agree1
Disagree0
I noticed that he was a journeyman right enough but other than that I actually think he'd be worth lookin at. He's a left sided attacking midfielder and while I've never heard of him before, he's 5yrs younger than the majority of Ally's targets!
Grant
Agree1
Disagree0
Well said Ernesto, I think an overhaul of our youth scouting set up is required. We need to become the Ajax of Scottish football & nurture talented young players.
Agree0
Disagree0
It doesnt matter who we sign McCoist is not even good enough for this level if he sticks with 3 at the back we will struggle against everyone.......it just keeps getting worse ffs
Agree0
Disagree1
Looks ok on the youtube video, might as well give him a trial, afterall he might be worth the look and keep his fellow countryman that just signed company also? maybe a bit of method in Ally's madness....
Agree1
Disagree0
Just watched a video o the brazilian mid looks good bit o pace and a hefty dig on him , lets give him a chance before writing him off
Agree1
Disagree0
I struggle to see how at 26 we shouldn't be looking at him. The French lad is 21 and we had a 17 year old on trial the other week. They are working across all age ranges within the free market ket. As someone else has said Kyle is the strange one. I don't understand why Jig is not moved back into midfield with Sandaza and little up top.
Agree0
Disagree0
Completely agree unfortunately the 3 stooges on the bench have no idea on good young talent thought this would be opportunity to bring on young players who would mature in time for us being back in "big time" , it would appear not 3 years from now we will still need to rebuild, time for Billy Davis to come in as manager
Agree0
Disagree0
You've Got Ask The Question Is Ian Murray The Man For The Job? The Players He's Scouted And Put Forward To Ally Have Simply Not Been Good Enough
Agree0
Disagree0
Think it's Neil Murray but continue to criticise rather than support your team guys
Agree0
Disagree0
Nonsense. I think you're all forgetting we play in the Scottish Third Division. A Brazilian 26-year-old winger (a position we aren't exactly blessed in) who's played in the Turkish SuperLig for a fair chunk of his career will be more than good enough for Scotland's lowest tiers.
Agree0
Disagree0
Its fairly obvious that the refereesa re a bit more lenient towards hard physical play in the lower leagues - - & I agree we need to man up to the challenge - - however throwing a handful of 18-20 year olds into this type of game would be ridiculously stupid - - they would get slaughtered
anybody who thinks otherwise better remove the dodgy blue glasses!

Well said there is far too much slagging going on this page rather than backing the team, i have said it before if we as fans of the same club dont get along then there aint much hope for the team itself.
Agree0
Disagree0
Right ow we will take what we can get and just be thankfull for these signings that Green is making. We are not going to get top dollar players we just need a solid squad with the experience we lost in the summer being replaced with tried and tested SPL players.

How can Craig Levein call up Ian Black after the excuse he gave for not picking Lee Wallace? Do they not play in the same team in the same league? Black should tell him where to go. What if he gets injured playing for scotland?
Believable49
Unbelievable21
Its a privilege to play for ur country and no one has the right to tell anybody where to get to ! Sdm w.a.t.p
Agree0
Disagree1
Exactly. I won't be returning to support Scotland for a few reasons. Firstly, the appointment of Levien disgusted me. The guy's a poor manager, and hardly the sort to inspire players. Secondly and most importantly, everyone in the SFA's treatment of Rangers. I don't need to remind anyone on here. Yes we needed to be "punished", but the handling was atrocious. We should unite and sit our Scotland games until there is an entirely new regime running the SFA. Thirdly, international football is no longer interesting. I'd rather watch the premiership any day. Let's stay away from Hampden. Thoughts?
Agree2

He's a lot better than Ally.
Agree2

To the above poster...its your country your supporting. yess the sfa have no idea how to run things but your country needs your support
Agree0

On reporting scotland tonight peter houston said black can dominate midefield on saturday he couldn't dominate peterheads midfield what chance then against austrialia serbia or belguim
Agree1
Disagree0
The fact that CL can even contemplate picking any third division players to represent scotland perhaps speaks volumes for his credentials as national coach ( or lack of as the case appears to be ) ...... this notion is as farcical as his garish facial hair imo ...... surely there are better players further up the divisions who would be more deserving of selection .

Black is nothing more than a hatchet man, fits the Rangers profile well.
Agree also that Levein is a fanny and crap manager and indeed is better than Ally
Iain
Agree0

Craig Levein is a buffoon.
Agree0
Disagree0
I agree about Levein being dodgy and the SFA a farce , but the Scotland team does not belong to them alone it belongs to us all, I won't stop supporting Scotland because of some suits cant run a business I'll support them cause I want a team of boys from my country to do well
Agree0
Disagree0
Exactly Why Pick Ian Black Over Lee Wallace For A Scotland Call-Up When He Plays In The Same League And Same Time Bet He Will Pick Steven What His Second Name Is Over Wallace
Agree0
Disagree0
So Levein is debuting an untried player who is not fully fit and plays in Division 3, while the best left back in the country, who has played before, can't be selected because he plays in Division 3 = NO LOGIC. Levein played 4-6-0 in our most important qualifier for the Euros and we didn't score = NO LOGIC. Levein alienated Steven Fletcher, who scores goals for fun down south and is about to be sold for £12 million = NO LOGIC. The SFA has blatantly got an agenda against Rangers, even though we provide approx. 45% of their custom through our fans, yet still people support the national team and back Craig Levein = NO LOGIC.
Agree0
Disagree0
I don't think ANY Rangers player should play for Scotland out of protest at the outrageous sanction simposed on our club
Agree0

Bizarre. If Black was so good why didn't he get a game last season when he was playing at a higher level?

Green insisted while Dunfermline had previously been paid, the Third Division club has now also settled debts to Celtic, Hearts – over the signing of Lee Wallace – and Dundee United, over £35,000 for gate receipts.
And he said: "There are fans out there who think we are signing new players and haven't paid our debts. This couldn't be further from the truth.
Believable38
Unbelievable25
It depends which way you look at it. You went into liquidation, so therefore you didn't and never will have to pay all your debts. Undoubtably all within the rules, but it must sting for those who were left out of pocket to see the same entity (as many Gers fans believe) "splashing" the cash.
Agree0
Disagree0
Despite being a new club, The Rangers the world wide, will never banish the fact that they cheated small businesses, the British Tax Payee of £134,000,000.00.
The brand that Green has spoke.n about is toxic with everyone apart from those that are following The Rangers.
Your reputation is that of tax cheats.
Agree1
Disagree2
Nooo!! This can not be true! The celtic fans will be raging that the debt has been paid... Its all they have been banging on about on out forum... Im sure they wont be long in finding a new broken record to play ;)
Agree0

Mr Green..........welcome to the obsession with the Worlds Most Successful Club, Glasgow Rangers.
Dont expect this obsession to abate any time soon....it has been an ongoing thing since 1888 :)
Agree0

Have the debts to the English clubs & the European clubs been paid yet ?
Agree0
Disagree0
This was forced on him as a condition of getting the SFA membership. It wasn't what they wanted to do, they didn't volunteer to do it and the money wasn't 'handed over' it was withheld prize money from oldco that was used.
So oldco paid oldcos Scottish debts. Footballing debts to English clubs and international clubs are still owed.
Agree0
Disagree0
Maybe the debts to allow the club to play have ben paid but what about the newspapers, catering etc. Dont they deserve to be compansated? Green could at least make a promise that if they are promoted then he will start to clear those debts. The taxman and ticketus are a different matter
Agree0
Disagree0
He's cleared the Scottish football debts only. English & European not been done yet.
Agree0
Disagree0
Yeah its been on SSN. It just shows we are the biggest and most interesting show in Scottish football. Hats off to Green he has done everything he has said he will do so far. Time for you doubters to get off his back and get behind the team. This is our club no matter what anyone says 54 titles and still going strong
Agree0
Disagree0
It has not been proven that rangers are tax cheats !!
Agree0
Disagree0
For a starter our actual debts were nowhere near £134million. That figure was produced by the papers and included a guestimate at best of the outcome of the EBT case. That event has not crystallised yet and may never happen. I do agree though that the small businesses that were suppliers to Rangers over the years should at least be recompensed in far better way.
Agree0
Disagree0
They still owe the non scottish clubs.
One Euro mainland team 1 million.
2 English premier teams also.
Agree0
Disagree0
@ 7 what's Ticketus and hmrc got to do with us? Hmrc are looking into any financial irregularities of any directors and indeed disnt they mention theyd be chasing them and Ticketus have to stand line, plus weren't they taking court action against he who must not be named?
Agree0
Disagree0
Green did not clarify the status of debts Rangers accrued to non-Scottish clubs, which include Arsenal, Manchester City and Rapid Vienna.
Agree0
Disagree0
How is ticketus a different matter?
If it wasn't for ticketus paying of the substantial overdraft Rangers owed Lloyds TSB they would have been extinct long before 12 June 2012!
Agree0
Disagree0
Green is just a spin merchant. Rangers have paid nothing voluntarily.
Agree0
Disagree0
Green's quote today 13august
These debts were incurred prior to the club going into administration and there was no obligation on the consortium buying the club to pick them up.
Wrong again Charlie:
This was conditional for entry to SFL
and duly accepted
Agree0
Disagree1
The small businesses didnt notice, if they are smart. Any business can be liquidated so if you arent insured you are an idiot.
Agree0
Disagree0
Not proven rangers tax cheats..yip it could be not proven is scottish law...but you still did it - tax and paye was NOT paid...
Agree0
Disagree0
Some people just dont get whats going on do they? Oldco owed the money to all clubs, domestic and foreign, as well as businesses/suppliers etc.
All Green done was agree with the SFA that the debts to Scottish clubs be met along with TV rights so that the Oldco SFA membership would transfer to the Newco. Green, otherwise would not have had to pay a penny to any other debtor as that would be for the liquidators and Oldco to sort out.
