Tom English of the Scotland on Sunday interviewed Craig Whyte a couple of weeks ago. Tom was giving his opinion of Whyte to Radio Scotland today and stated "If you asked Craig Whyte what day of the week it was he wouldn't tell you".

I don't believe a word that comes out of Whyte's mouth.

Believable49 Unbelievable5

So what I dont think any press or broadcaster believe anyone now so whats different about craig whyte answer ..nothing lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig Whyte is playing a very dangerous game with our club yes if HMRC accepts the administrators offer something between 8 and 13 pence in the pound but reports on Bloomenberg are saying HMRC will not accept that and as they will be a major creditor the HMRC will recover as much as possible when the club is in liquidation if this happens Rangers will not longer be a trading company and even if a new Rangers are born it will not be in the SPL maybe even Division 1 No UEFA licence will mean no UCL OR UEL Sorry folks but it aint nice

Believable13 Unbelievable8

Try division 3 mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

If liquidated it;s div 3 after applying for a new licence and a three year euro ban.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just awakened from a 100yr sleep pal??

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC will want at least 50p on the £ guaranteed . They do NOT deal at less .
CelticMatt

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if the Gers are reborn let's head for the English Leagues, no point registering in Scotland, let's see how Ceptic get on playing week in week out against Dunfermline and St Mirren, sounds exciting eh with no challenge, eventually no sky money, no shirt sponsors, ha ha, let's do it Rangers now is our chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Try the blue square league next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC are not a secured or prefered creditor, this is why Whyte is playing his hand and seeing who blinks first as if we are wound up and found insolvent then HMRC get nothing so they need to negotiate carefully as I dont think this tube Whyte will hesitate to make us insolvent, this is what he unfortunately specialises in

Agree0 Disagree0

You get what you deserve, greed has tipped your team over the edge.

Agree0 Disagree0

Right guys stop blaming celtic and also stop going on about a move to england not going to happen i repeat not going to happen , why would they after manchester what would rangers take to english league that they need ! nothing this is a greed problem pure and simple not fault of media celtic ,sfa spl or any other organisation is fault of this and previous boards , good to see a big crowd turn up last night , bloody more police than rangers fans

Agree0 Disagree0

Believable12 Unbelievable5

How can hmrc be main creditor wen a company is already in administration they will have to wait in line as an agreement with creditors wd already be in place which hmrc are not part of yet so it basically comes down to is hmrc are being hell of aggressive way rangers for wot reason i dont know but they will take a cut price or gt nothing n wind up .

Mark Dingwall, Rangers Supporters Trust talking p1sh on Sky and STV. What a total bafoon. Guys a waste of space.

Believable18 Unbelievable1

Supporters trust? what have they ever done? tea and custard creams with murray years ago and all was well.same story with whyte.losers {Ed003's Note - I love custard creams and tea come to think of it...PG with 2 sweetners please }

Agree0 Disagree0

What a waste of time RSA is, as long as someone speaks to them they are happy, bum chums with both owners. A toothless bunch of wasters

Agree0 Disagree0

I still love his fat arse on the podcast. Gonna be a rough run but we will always be the people.

Agree0 Disagree0

Total waste of time them people, not the voice of the true fan, were they been last 10 months?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 23:35:35
Getting worried now, if you look at whytes statement he is putting rangers into administration to protect there future as hmrc state that they will appeal the tax decision if they lose it, sounds like to me the dark forces have won the tax case , this rumour about having won is widespread jammy, lucky hope I'm wrong

Believable9 Unbelievable4

13 Feb 2012 22:20:23
Souness and whyte have just finished having dinner at gleneagles, David murray is in the hotel too.

Believable17 Unbelievable39

Mo Johnstone there too was he? Ya plum!

Agree0 Disagree0

What garbage! Where's the photographic proof?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldnt be surprised as im sure he could do with some nice dinner after the day hes had, did you happen to notice if he ordered a chicken supper and maybe a wee can of coke to wash it down?

Agree0 Disagree0

Total baws

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter rubbish. why post stupid lies?

Agree0 Disagree0

What did they have?
Did Craig just have the water?
BR

Agree0 Disagree0

What did they have ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wit you smokin and where can a get it haha cheer up might never happen we are RANGERS SUPER RANGERS

Agree0 Disagree0

Adminestrone soup so I was told!

Agree0 Disagree0

Was there not mention on Real Radio tonight of a rumour of Souness being involved in a possible takeover consortium. Are the people who are rubishing the original posters comments the same people that rubbished any talk of administration?

Agree0 Disagree0

Did anyone pay the bill or are they doing the dishes.
67coatbridge

Agree0 Disagree0

No its true I saw them too. Theyre on the same floor as Lord Lucan and Richey Edwards.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are we honestly expected to believe that, on a day like this, the three of them would be daft enough to be spotted in the same public place? Let's just pretend for a minute that they ARE plotting a takeover or whatever: would this not be more likely to be discussed behind closed doors? Posts like this do my nut in, especially during such difficult times - it's a complete waste of everyone's time! If you were there and seen it then I'm sure you could have easily taken a picture to prove it. Please stop it with the nonsense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Souness?? The clown that brought Murray on to the scene, Murray who has caused this mess?

LMFAO

Agree0 Disagree0

SO whats their plan, to buy the club bring us out if administration and wait for the tax case to send us bank broke. Even if a consortium is thinking about buying the great glasgow rangers, it will not happen until the tax case is complete. All this talk of rangers being taken over again is just fantasy.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 21:32:01
Wee conspiracy theory for you to ponder: Murray- " Right Craig, here's the deal. Rangers are screwed and the only real way out is administration but I need to save my reputation" Whyte- " So what are you thinking? " Murray- "You buy the club with the clause that I can buy them back, you put them in administration and take all the abuse while I go and hide for a while" Whyte-" then what?" Murray- "Then I buy them back and declare myself saviour of Rangers and you make a tidy wee profit.....simples"

news.stv.tv/scotland/west-central/297454-sir-david-murray-has-option-to-buy-back-rangers/

Baybear

Believable35 Unbelievable24

Thats a good call mate basically if murray does it he gets suspended as a director for xxx yrs ..

Agree0 Disagree0

That might not be to far from the truth as i heard murray might be coming back

Agree0 Disagree0

700 million in debt Murray? Are you that far out of straws to clutch at?

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats total baws. Craig Whyte isnt smart enough to cook up such a plan. He's single handedly destroying Rangers and having the nerve to blame everyone else. He has managed RFC like Del Boy managing Trotters Independent Trading. He's never delivered on a single promise and has attempted to pull the wool over Rangers fans by using their money to buy the club. Why doesnt he do the decent thing and go back to Monaco. Sell Rangers back to the fans please Mr Whyte. Your out of your depth. Rangers Football Club is a great institution and has to be managed by people who care about its future. Nobody wants you here Mr Whyte.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh aye, wake up muppet. Murray was trying to offload Rangers for 3 years, why would he come back now. The club will need millions of investment which Murray is not prepared to make.

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay ponder, ponder. rubbish! i dont think you can sell when in admin.but it looks more like liquidation now

Agree0 Disagree0

Getting very very desperate now. This is why Rangers are in this mess because the fans and the media allowed Murray to brainwash them for tears with ridiculous stories like this, shopping malls, super casinos etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whos to say there isnt more to the story than meets the eye, surely CW wouldnt get involved unless he had a strategy, and with 75 million reasons to go into admin who cares if thats the price for the man to pay, as long as hes there then the gers will exist as hes a master at manipulating the admin process.....as big marv said, keep believing and see you all at ibrox on saturday WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely bang on the money my friend except Murray won't come back. Once we exit administration the real money men will take over the club debt free and we become more powerful than ever before. This has always been the master plan. Celtic fans know it and are absolutely terrified at the thought. LONG LIVE THE GLASGOW RANGERS. WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a stab in the dark guys.... I think possibly once it's all done Whyte sells the club debt free and the 25 million that went missing is offshore. The money then pumped back into the club - I don't know I'm a season ticket holder and completely desperate for clarity

Agree0 Disagree0

Administration, quickly followed by receivership, then liquidation am afraid, armagedon looms

Agree0 Disagree0

Could happen. Why would murray have a clause to buy the club back? Its MIH thats in trouble, im sure murray has money stashed away.

Agree0 Disagree0

What alot of tosh. CW will asset strip the club in the same way he destroyed all the other companies je was involved in.
CW cares only about money.
You were all told this by AJ before he was removed ad a director. RIP RFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. Whyte. Will destroy club and disappear into sunset with sack load of cash. No way back now

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no buy back clause on the purchase agreement. STV are reporting what Johnson has said but they're wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

STV wrong or not. Is that the point here. The fox was invited into the Hen House against all the objections and warnings from Legends and Directors alike but Murray was desperate to unload the burden HE created. The debt is now unmanageable and ultimately liquidation will come to pass. These two men are culpable in the destruction of an institution.
The legacy will be lost to all true supporters, they (CW & DM) could not care less.
As the Proclaimers would say "Rangers no more."

Agree0 Disagree0

You seem to forget that David Murray hasn't a pot to piss in and now has less than 1% ownership of M.I.H.

If you don't believe it, check with companies House albeit he hasn't released accounts after June 2010.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no clause, this is so funny

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 21:30:28
I heard that HMRC are taking out an
injunction to prevent the
administration from going ahead.

Believable11 Unbelievable20

They cannot do that if you me money and cannot pay then you can declare bankrupcy = Administration ..

Agree0 Disagree0

No you havent

Agree0 Disagree0

They cant .

Agree0 Disagree0

They can not do that, once you go you go. Administration trumps everything.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont see why.they could lead the administration themselves

Agree0 Disagree0

Can they when there are no funds to back it up, surely looking at accounts would tell them otherwise.... mind you they must be pi55ed with whyte i know i would be, craig+babybear

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubtful, plus wouldnt be an injunction, that's an English term it would be an interdict .

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 21:17:55
a man name mckay waiting in the wings to take over rangers mark my words whytes a frount man mckay is the ture whyte knight

WAIT AND SEE MY FELLOW BEARS

Believable7 Unbelievable35

Ffs matt mckay will do anything to get a game lol

Agree0 Disagree0

That'll be the white and McKay
The liquidation drink you've been drinkin

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeeeeezuz!!

will you guys ever stop??

this is it, this is the plan, from day one....there is no backer, there is no 'big money man'. whyte's an asset stripper ffs, why can't you get this through your thick skull?!

taco

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he better have 70m to lose before he even starts. rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte & McKay - I think you're on the bl00dy stuff.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you trying to tell us Rangers were taken over by Whyte and Mckay or is this what you have been drinking all day daftie

Agree0 Disagree0

Wee joke ya numpty

Agree0 Disagree0

Glad you people think it funny .. Scottish football will suffer big time now this has happened .. One team league bad bad bad ..

Agree0 Disagree0

Its mccoll not mckay. and yes, once the tax case is settled there will be investment but not millions like the past.

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance of being malky mckay..

Agree0 Disagree0

League will suffer to begin with, but playing field will be fairer as Celtic not gonna be able to force issue without other Glasgow bully backup.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no money to be made from investing in Scottish football and everyone has seen how their lives are turned inside out as everything they do is scrutinized. Investors need 10-20% return on money and there is no return to be made on Rangers therefore that's why it won't happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 20:57:19
Good article by Andrew Smith in yesterdays Scotland on sunday thats worth a read (wonder if he had some inside information?). check it on www.scotsman.com/scotland-on-sunday/sport/why-tax-case

None of his options predict what Whyte is doing.

In admin within two weeks, out again by the end of March so that we can get our UEFA licence.

LM

Believable15 Unbelievable31

HMRC have stated their intentions to appeal till the cows come home if we win so we have been left with no choice bit to take these steps.

Agree0 Disagree0

@LM; your joking right? you will not be out of admin in march, you need luck to avoid liquidation!

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people are really deluded!
Wake up and smell the coffee!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Having a laugh were in danger of no rangers at all u diddy

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye, and then you'll be hammered by the Big Tax case bill which Whyte is now saying is £75m.

Agree0 Disagree0

You're also forgetting the fact that unaudited accounts=no european licence

fool

taco

Agree0 Disagree0

Europe is a long shot HMRC will drag there heel and not agree to CVA in the 28 day period.

Agree0 Disagree0

Without the resolution of the tax case then no license can be granted, as that would be in breach of UEFA's Financial Fair Play Regulations. Also hearing, but not been able to confirm that club may be suspended from UEFA competitions for three years, and will require to show financial stability over a 3 year period from season 2014/15 i.e. starting in she current season.

Agree0 Disagree0

heard on bbc news earlyer that some tax guy is recconing that craig whyte is offering hmrc like 5 million and if they dont accept it we'll go in to administration so hmrc would only get like 1% of the origional tax bill which is around 500k so its good thinking he could be using the jealavic money sayin take this 5 million and thats all or we'll go into administration and you get alot less makes a bit sense to me
AndyBear98

Believable17 Unbelievable25

Would like to think it was as easy as that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not sayin the tax bill is 500k 1% of it is
AndyBear98

Agree0 Disagree0

Deluded.

Agree0 Disagree0

My god you guys are not living in real world, this hmrc they take no prisoners they will want there 1lb of fresh...this only the beginning of pressure forced by them...if hmrc play hard ball this is the end

Agree0 Disagree0

R u for real if we dont make a deal with the creditors the rangersfc is no more some of the fans are really taking the p deluded is the correct word

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC want they full 100 pence in the pound.

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC are governed by the same rules as the guy who paints the railings. If the company they are chasing go into the umbrella of admin they get whatever those running the clud say they get, ie a share of what is left available... it's brinksmanship, do they call his bluff and hold out or do a deal and take what he offers. In terms of running a company Whyte is spot on. Whether it is morally the right thing is another question...

Agree0 Disagree0

Andybear98; HMRC knocked back 11m in january 11.it looks worse than admin now.

Agree0 Disagree0

What planet is this zoomer on?

Agree0 Disagree0

Did Vodafone not settle for 1.2Billion a loss of 8 Billion to the public purse and seem to remember Arsenal struck some kind of deal and also a big advertising agency could be wrong with the laqst two but Vodafone is true against that ours is chickenfeed

Agree0 Disagree0

While this is obviously a spoof post it has a element of truth - craig whyte is trying to pull off a stunt which will basically minimize the amount of money Rangers (ie. Craig Whyte) have to part with before re-inventing themselves as a debt-free concern. Will it work? Only time will tell

Agree0 Disagree0

What planet you on mate?? If 25% of the total outstanding debt is owed to HMRC then they can veto and arrangement an Administrator makes or offer Rangers make if they don't feel it's acceptable. Only way the Taxman gets nothing is if Rangers go into liquidation. In other words... Yer screwed!

Agree0 Disagree0

It is possible, but only in the event that liquidation is the route we're going down, if we go into liquidation (and craig whyte has already set up a potential pheonix club The Rangers FC Group Ltd (Formerly Wavetower)) then hmrc will get sweet fa, so there is room for manouvre. Its a perfectly legal move, so maybe Whyte is the man to trust unless he really is planning to let us go into administration then start again with a new Rangers with no history and possibly even from the 3rd division.

Agree0 Disagree0

Vodaphone employ 8000 people thats the difference

Agree0 Disagree0

With Portsmouth they only paid hmrc 20%of the bill so for rangers with a similar deal 20% of the 50 or so million is the 10 or 11 mil they have offered

Agree0 Disagree0

You cant even afford 10 percent of the bill. Tax man ready to kill portsmouth aswell.

Agree0 Disagree0

If hmrc reject the settlement offered by rangers and are owed more than 25% of all debt rangers will cease to exist in their current form.

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC are not due anywhere near 25% of our total debt ! we owe craig whyte 18 million, this £50 million isnt debt yet were still in court... Thats why were threatening with admin now

FauldsRFC

Agree0 Disagree0

The death of rangers is the start of the end for celtic no place left to go..both clubs will have to go to the wall eventually, the end of bigotry a fresh start for every scotsman and an end to the cancer .

Agree0 Disagree0

Grow a pair mate, and take your snobby comment somewhere else, sectarianism will not dissapear ever, can you not see that, government has been tryin for years, and your the bigot, shouldnt bring the teams involved because they only play football fs, put it this way every team in scotland have one way or another got sectarianism so you should get rid of scottish football!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers will be okay, Dundee FC went into admin and ended up only paying the creditors and HMRC 6p in the pound

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 20:43:37
Heard interview with Craig Whyte on Sky He said administration is the only way to ensure the future of our Club .Remember this is the guy whom a judge said his evidence was unreliable. Not bsure about him as he has not delivered on any promise

Believable15 Unbelievable10

Check out his interview with Craig Whyte on the rangers web site dont know whether to believe him or not

www.rangers.co.uk/RangersTV

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats the biggest problem we have with whyte,,,, DO WE BELEIVE HIM!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I've heard that Craig Whyte is a Celtic fan. He's out to destroy Rangers. The man has to be stopped! He's sold the family silver and will take the cash back to celtic park with him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nearly right, the problem is some gullible fools do still believe him. I will make this clear the guy is a conman he has used fans money to buy the club and he will walk away smelling of roses when the administrater steps in

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 20:41:58
Ithink we should sign murphy and humphrey from motherwell in the summer, wouldnt cost too much, also goodwillie might be made available again

Believable1 Unbelievable42

Errr have you been keeping up with the current news surrounding the club?

Agree0 Disagree0

Have u just woke up and no seen the news

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you in denial FFS. we will be lucky to survive the coming months and you are posting bulls**t

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you of your head we will be getting no one in all the players will be sold to pay of debts

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you like that wee Japanese guy who wandered out of the jungle still thinking there was a war on? Signing players is the last thing on all sensible peoples mind at the moment!

Agree0 Disagree0

Your havin a laugh arent you, Rangers wont be able to compete with motherwell never mind sign players from them. Wake up and listen to your BILLIONAIRE chairman yous are skint!!

Agree0 Disagree0

As a club we still have to plan in advance, everything will work out just fine and dandy, thats why we must be looking for players

Agree0 Disagree0

Have u not been watching the news today ..... ADMINISTRATION

Agree0 Disagree0

What is your name .......... Craig Whyte.

Agree0 Disagree0

These players will never agree to play in division 3 lmao

Agree0 Disagree0

Leave the guy alone hes usinG the website for one of its primeral functions - if thats the attitude You may as well shut this down , stop shooting down fans , WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate have a word with yourself and tune into radio reality.

Even if Rangers win v Kilmarnock on Saturday - Celtic could be 10 points ahead before Rangers play again ! ( 20 post Administration)

Believable17 Unbelievable9

And your point is?

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

Let the club die lets get on with our own lives..get independance and make our own and ours childrens futures secure the rest of the world is bankrupt but we know how to survive and prosper as a nation ..neccesity is the mother of invention..lets deal with the real issues here a football team can wait..

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if we do officially go into admin. we will get deducted 10 points, its the only way septic will win the league

Agree0 Disagree0

How many games do septic play this week before we do? Thought it was just 1 at the weekend meaning at worst they are 7 clear?

Agree0 Disagree0

When we beat killie on sat one point behind so you are saying the tic have 3games to play before we play again and will win them all.get a life

Agree0 Disagree0

20 points clear to win league and bookies aren`t giving good odds on that says it all,I JUST CAN`T GET ENOUGH,HAIL,HAIL

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't pay the crown.......
Go into administration?
SIMPLEST!!

Agree0 Disagree0

The only way you can win the league timmy is if rangers r deducted points FAIL FAIL

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic currently above Rankers without deduction.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wrong on every front admin is 10 if it happens

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 20:26:43
does this mean rangers will fail to pay for celik and he will return to his previous club.

Believable30 Unbelievable5

No because it is a compensation payment, not a transfer fee, he had no contract to honour at GAIS and was a free agent, it is a development fee that has to be paid to them, but if the fee was not paid then there may be legal routes UEFA and FIFA can go down to punish Rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Good question

Agree0 Disagree0

Could do. hes pish anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

He will return to GAIS and UEFA will slap sanctions on rangers. GAIS officially offered him new contract before he left.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does everyone know that aston villa are going to try buy lee wallace as they are selling their LB due to owners choice! If admin goes ahead what happens selling and buying players? Do we Have to flog players, i hope not? Any edd to enlighten me? TODD88 {Ed001's Note - players would have to go.}

Believable10 Unbelievable4

We don't have to sell. Contracts are valid. We can choose to sell, but we can't buy
BB

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok cheers lads. TODD88

Agree0 Disagree0

As long as players are being paid then they have to stick to the terms of their contracts. Having said that they are probably the most saleable assets and an administrator would look to raise some cash quickly. As far as I am aware we cannot buy anyone else in as a tight rein will be kept on expenditure.

Agree0 Disagree0

Administration will mean we keep all the good players for now and sell them in the next window. And let go everyone else that is over some wage limit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Admins may decide to cut some players contract right away if wage bill too high.

Agree0 Disagree0

As a rule transfers are not permitted out with the authorised windows, so in theory no sales until 1st July. Players may have their contracts terminated (made redundant) to reduce costs and there is likely to be much of that once Administration commences, as well as coaches, back room staff, office staff etc.

There is some precedent for an exemption being made to allow player sales, however realistically no one will off top dollar for anyone at the club, and it will be any reasonable offer accepted by the Administrator. Unsecured assets will be sold to raise money to repay creditors, secured assets will.ass to the owner of the security if they are unable to be sold - most likely the stadium and Murray Park fall into this category, though who holds the security is a matter of conjecture at the moment. Ticketus may conceivably have some rom f security in addition to what Whyte may hold.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hearing that former owner and chairman Lawrence Marlborough is monitoring the current situation and is is taking to Alistair Johnston about a rescue package and booting Whyte out and is also going after Murray for his part on the mess he created.

Believable9 Unbelievable31

Think you will find it was David Holmes who was the Chairman as Lawrence Malbourgh although owner was based in Nevada

Agree0 Disagree0

Is he not one of them(former members) who let this happen ed? {Ed001's Note - yes.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He is worth 15.8 billion

Agree0 Disagree0

Is Marlborough not one of the original problems,as one of the board who started all of this ed? {Ed001's Note - yes he is.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you have been smoking Marlboro with some additives. Source?.

Agree0 Disagree0

First all the rumours are that former players are returning, now its former owners.
Is Bill Struth going to be reappointed too ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Marlborough is only responsible in that he sold to Murray and you'll find he has been chairman at some point. If we want to point fingers itches Souness who got Marlborough and Murray together I'm the first place but finger pointing and name calling will not sort put the mess only Rangers minded people with at least £75 million to lose( HMRC + 5 years season tickect monies)

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe, but that doesn`t matter as these are the people with responsabilites to your club, thoke on

Agree0 Disagree0

This fella is listed as a director for rangers lotteries and rangers development fund. Will this have any bearing?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lawrence Marlborough was the owner in the 80s and sold up to david murray no blame can be laid at his door except selling the club to david murray bbblue

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray back in ibrox by start of next year as planned! all our assets are safe as murray seen to that before sale. whyte only in place to do a job then go back to being a supporter (with a few quid) and with all his investment already back in his bank account.

Agree0 Disagree0

David Murray doesnt even have the money to keep rangers going, clean slate or not

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance murray glad to be out plus i for one couldny trust murray again i love the guy bt hes made a few big mistakes

Agree0 Disagree0

Like murry saying he would spent £10 for every £5 we would spend i would say that is probaly his biggest as he didn`t count on having to pay the mercenaries high wages aswell as forking out stupid money all the time and i`m a true celt who doesn`t like whats going on at castle greyscull,H/H

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 19:23:36
heard a rumour like 20 minutes ago that a man named Ravi Ruia could be willing to buy the club from Craig Whtye and sort this out asap never heard of him anyone else heard anything and who is Ravi Ruia

Believable19 Unbelievable14

Ha good joke pal!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ravi ruia is forbes 4th richest indian, worth $18.5 billion, wouldnt look into it Though

Agree0 Disagree0

12th richest person living in the united kingdom,as in the Sunday times rich list 2011

nice pipe dream though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ravi ruia was involved with queens park rangers so i doubt there is anything in this

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, $15.80 billion (but again dont look into it)

Agree0 Disagree0

He's an Indian buisness man worth 15 billion. 12th richest man living in uk

Agree0 Disagree0

Ravi Ruie is a telecoms giant and has an oil company also

Agree0 Disagree0

He and his brother have a combined wealth of abt 15 billion via Steel Oil companies which is the truth but the chances of them buying out craig whyte i believ is only a dream,we are stuck with this guy till he does put the club into administration and them we need to hope we can find some serious wealthy Rangers supporters that via an administrator can take over the club

Agree0 Disagree0

rangers will be forced to rip up daniel cousins contract when club enter administration.

Believable21 Unbelievable3

They cant rip up his contract without settling a pay off with him

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter crap he could be sold on though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unlikely. It looks as if we'll sign him before we enter admin. If this is the case, his contract will still be honoured as long as we can afford to. Muzz

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought he had already signed and if we go into administration there will be an embargo on transfers in or out - Look at Portsmouth

Agree0 Disagree0

The OP knows nothing about administration. The contract cannot be ripped up. He can, further down the line, be made redundant.

BlackRaven

Agree0 Disagree0

Transfer embargo would stop us signing players but players would have to be sold to keep the club running as administators would not keep the club running at a loss and players may still only be sold during transfer windows, therefore Cousin will be out of contract by that time anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

When a club enters administration the players contracts can be ripped up without penalty to Whyte.

The original poster is correct so get your head oot the sand ostriches.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 19:17:44
@SSNRADIO has tweeted along with connie mcglaughlan that david murray has a clause in the contract that was written up for the sale of the club that he can buy bck rangers a wonder if whyte was sold the club to take us into administration and then murray comes in to save us to look like some sort of hero

Believable17 Unbelievable11

Murray has no money to bank roll rangers, he lost about £500 million in the recession.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alistair Johnson has said he doesnt think Murray would come back. Is it not MIH that has lost alot of money and are in trouble but im sure Murray himself as money stashed away.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 18:24:18
ca't believe i'm saying this but it is doing the rounds that alistair johnstone and his accociates are working on a strategy to save the club. graham spiers also mentioned it on radio tonight.

Believable19 Unbelievable22

No one wants to buy a club with baggage, why did whyte buy in 2011, he's an oppotunist looking for some sort of fast buck, if tax result is coming and we are in admin, what price the club and who decides best offer to creditors ......is that when the real rangers men will be seen to pick us up off our knees

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldnt believe a word that man says. He hates rangers.

A well known bookie has started paying out on bets for Celtic to win the league.

Believable23 Unbelievable7

That same bookie paid out in Celtic last year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paddypower. that was class when they lost all that money last season when they were so overly confident celtic would win the title. They didnt hehe WATP

I have heard this also. peter Barlow is the guys name. hes a Manchester based bookie located in the weatherfield area./biggles

I remember back in October when Rangers where 15 points clear the Jellyfish made that prediction the league was over lol 2 Internet bookies paid out on Rangers pmsl :0)

Paddy Power are paying out on Celtic winning the league now that rangers have announced intent to enter administration.

Believable27 Unbelievable15

Since we havnt actually entered administration i cant see any bookie paying out yet

Agree0 Disagree0

So are Bet 365.

Agree0 Disagree0

You shock me with this profoundly obvious statement

Rangers are not in administration - only the intent to go into administraton. Big difference, so i'd be surprised if they would be paying out until it was made official.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look it up non believers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte came out and said its the only to go administration will happen H

Agree0 Disagree0

There are also offering 8/1 on the Gers and if we avoid administration we can take back 4 points. I've just invested 50 quid

Cash is being paid out, paddy power

I think we can pull back 4 points, but if we do go into Adminstration and lose another 10, i can't see us closing the gap

Ed does admin mean no Europe defo like. PaulRFC {Ed001's Note - they would need to be out of admin by the end of March, I believe, to get a license to compete in Europe. They would also need to be coming out of admin as the same entity they went in as, not a so-called Phoenix club. If they were to be resurrected under a different guise their current licensing would be lapsed and they would have to apply for a completely new license.}

Believable17 Unbelievable5

This is totally true new license is needed 3 years out of all comps in europe i believe

Agree0 Disagree0

Euro licence is applied for at start of year and as long as rangers do not owe money to other clubs Or hmrc then as long as we can prove our future for the season we can still play in Europe.so all hinges on tax case whether we can play.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you also need to file approved/audited annual accounts by 31/03 - will this happen?

Agree0 Disagree0

You mentioned Rangers not owing any clubs money they already owe GAIS compemsation and I have read that they owe DUTD money from the cup game

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 17:37:27
I wonder if Rangers can set up a trust account or a just giving page? lets see if people put money where mouth is!

Believable22 Unbelievable15

I for one have £500 waiting. its a good shout. todays events may just sink into those who have been burying theirs heads over this whole situation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray asked for help with a share option a few year ago and got nothing.
its coming back to bite you's now

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the big problem there is could you trust whyte with the money at the moment due to revelations at bbc he is not exactly as his name states

Agree0 Disagree0

I've got an even better idea. Why don't we all get loads of those football cards and go door to door. Imagine a million Bears in Scotland sell each square for a tenner Thats £200 (minus a £20 for the winner). If we all sold a few cards we could rake in like a billion quid. Just imagine that- Champions league trophy in the next 5 years so we could finally take aff they five stars and replace them wae one that actually means suhin.

Wake up ya clown how can fans plug a £60 million gap. Your best bet is administration. Suffer for a couple of seasons. Then back to normal.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we all have to stand up and be counted. Fill Ibrox on Saturday, buy the merchandse, clear out the food stalls.

Celtic showed in the early 90's what fan power can do, we should gather at Ibrox, Rally at George square, let our voices be heard and try to save our club.

We wont get an abramovich or Sheikh taking over so we have to get our head out of the sand and act now. Lets explore what trust options we have, maybe we can one day as fans all own our club. Its not just a club, its an institution, a way of life and its our history.

Lets act now so we can look to future glories and not reflect on the day we walked away and let our club die.

Blue Bear

buy from food stalls: again, sold on to a third party co.

Nae income? Nae future!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant part with your money till whytes out?? So would rather watch our club die?? i for one would easy chip in to pay off our debt then pay a small amount a month for transfers etc. TIME TO STAND UP AND BE A SUPPORTER OR WE ARE GOIN TO HAVE NUTHING TO SUPPORT!!

Rangers have seen a private verdict on tax case which has gone against the club, secondly if u buy a lotto ticket n win jackpot,r u then going to reinvest it into winnining it again in turn costing you money,if so y sell merch n catering n season book money your main source of income, aload of ponny never intention to save club, even before tax case their no money,

You really are warped mate and have no clue about finance. The club are in big big trouble and will be counting the cost for years to come. The sooner idiotic people like you realise that the better.

PS wait till you pay the cut price bills when the administrators sell every asset Rangers have for ... oh yes CUT PRICE !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cut-price deals, only if creditors agree these terms, on the upshot they could force liquidation instead be careful what u wish for!

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds are still suffering because of administration why do you think rankers can be any different? Remember leeds were european semi-finalists 1 year b4

Agree0 Disagree0

Credtors can force liquidation however with craig whyte s company investing in rangers arent that company then the principle creditor ? as the tax bill not bn released yet does that not also mean the creditors will have not already have a repayment plan in place so taxman will not be principle creditor and it wont or shouldnt be in their intrest to order winding up. u have to wonder why hmrc are being so aggressive ?? appeal appeal and appeal smell a ret there

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 17:12:26
there you go rumour is hes putting us in it so he stays the no1 crediter ,rangers running costs 45 million ,rangers income before european games is 35 million ,also dont count frendlies or players relaesed or sold ,so we have a black hole of 10 million or less ,he takes out loan from ticketus for 24 million ,so use 10 million or less to cover that leaves 14 million ,so where the hell is it ?plus he puts out new contracts to our top players to get top dollar when they get sold ,sold to get money for you mr whyte cause your the prefared creditor cause this was your plan all along to get yourself in this position to make money out of us ? what happend to the club is now debt free

Believable24 Unbelievable7

Not only that but the week after he took over he took in £13m in season ticket sales. Everybody seems to forget about this.

Agree0 Disagree0

He won't make any money out of this. This is not about making money. This is about establishing a firm foundation for the future without the threat of any tax case hanging over the club

Agree0 Disagree0

You are an idiot ! of course he wants to stay 1st creditor, who wouldnt want their money back first... Listen theres no money to be made at this stage with rangers, stop being so thick it was murray and co that done this... all these 'rangers men' who took a wage and saw us getting further and further into the red...
we will be debt free after all this, so just keep doing your part and supporting the club..

FauldsRFC

the players cant be sold their contracts would be torn up and even if someone came in for a player no one can make them go the days of slavery are long gone

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgot this seasons season ticket money that he also got and oh yes according to him and he is quoted he invested 33m of his own company money into the club yes right just how stupid does he think we all are, cause by the notice of intent to put the club into administration he also avoids having tohold an agm so no figures available for joe public to see

I assume Rangers cannot pay the next instalment to Hearts for the transfer of Lee Wallace.

What does this mean? I assume this would be breach of contract and the player would return to Hearts!

Can anyone confirm this?

Believable17 Unbelievable21

Hearts as a football creditor have to be paid before we can play in this ir any other country

Agree0 Disagree0

It will mean that we may have to sell all our best players who can still comand fees!

Agree0 Disagree0

It means they can sue Rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

The next installment is not due until the summer

Agree0 Disagree0

What it means is that the administrator will make an offer to Hearts of say 10p in the pound of what Rangers owe. Hearts are allowed to reject this offer but realistically I don't think they will. If they reject it Rangers may liquidate so they wouldn't get much anyway, not to mention how much they would lose when Sky pull the plug on the SPL.

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

Won't be a hearts in 3 days.

thats it confirmed, if whyte had not asked for administration now, he would cease to become chief creditor................ he shows his hand...........finally !

Believable21 Unbelievable3

13 Feb 2012 16:55:30
The situation is not as bad as on first reading. Yes, we have filed a notice of intention for administration but this had to be done to ensure we would be able to use the method for paying creditors that would best suit the club as the taxman can block this if a decision is not reached quickly. If the HMRC verdict goes against us, we will repay at 20p in the £ max (Dundee got away with 6p in the £). However, the strong rumour, and it is only a rumour, is that we have been successful in the case but the HMRC are going to appeal therefore administration will provide us security if that were to go against us.
Through admin, Whyte will become the club's main creditor. If the tax case has gone in our favour, all other debts will be paid at the aforementioned rate to the creditors. As Craig Whyte is one of the creditors, he will effectively be paying himself the money, generating income to invest in the team next season when the club will be debt free.
My only grievance with this situation is, if the intention was always to go into administration, we should have done it when we were 12 points clear and we would still have a 2 point lead at the top and a chance at the title.

Believable18 Unbelievable19

How can you negotiate with HMRC when the outcome of the tax case isnt know yet?

plus, SDM can only talk to HMRC, not whyte.

Agree0 Disagree0

That last sentence is totally illogical. Where is the link between points garnered and administration ?

Agree0 Disagree0

And had to sell off all your players in the January transfer market? Think it through mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

As a rangers supporter im sorry to hear rangers the biggest clubs are going into administration. but if it secures rangers future so be it, the league seems to be of not much importance at the moment and id rather have rangers around than winning silverware

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said and correct. I worked for a company four years which went into administration. They owed creditors over £1m. From the day they went into administration the creditors could not pursue their claim for the debts. If White goes for a pre-pack administration, this could mean the 'company' (or club) is bought shortly after administration as a going concern, but without the debts. Cost-cutting would still be necessary but all debts would be gone. Let Celtic have their moment of glory, but a rather pyrrhic victory I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

"That last sentence is totally illogical. Where is the link between points garnered and administration ?"

The 10 point deduction? Had we filed when we were 12 points clear we would still have had a 2 point gap. Now, the 10 point deduction will see us trail by 14

Agree0 Disagree0

How can Whyte pay himself? and doing this will generate income? Am i missing something or does that not sound stupid?

Agree0 Disagree0

And what about all the points you dropped allowing Cedltic to make up the gap ? Were they sacrosanct ? Would administration have meant you wouldnt have dropped those points..
Methinks youre all in denial.

Agree0 Disagree0

Eh your sums do not add up matey

Agree0 Disagree0

It widnae matter when we done it coz we wid still be 14 points behind r u that thick ??

Agree0 Disagree0

If you go don the pre ack route all spl clubs are insistent that 15 points be docked for the next 3 seasons ad tv money re alculated

Agree0 Disagree0

Your maths are bad.....no matter when you took the 10 point hit then you would be 14 behind now....eejit

Agree0 Disagree0

What an imbecile. Haha! Hmrc will take you for everything. For a CVA it can only be agreed with 75% of the creditors accepting so many pence in the pound. HMRC are going to be owed anything from £50/75m. That will be about 80% of the overall debt. Liquidation. Bye bye Rangers and good riddance!! :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Heres a novelle idea , why dont yous just pay your bills like the rest off us .

Agree0 Disagree0

The maths are perfectly sound. Had we taken the 10 point deduction in November when we were 12 points clear we would have been 2 points clear at the time and still had incentive to go for the title. If the results had then went the same way yes, we would now be 14 points behind anyway. But taking the point deduction now gives no hope and no incentive to go for the league

I have had the privilege of supporting Rangers for 45 years now. I support the team and the badge and have seen some great football and some fantastic players over the years. I did not directly support chairmen or boards of directors - they were incidental, although some of the recent incumbents should be hanging their heads in shame and apologising. It is to support the players, the team and the great institution that is Rangers Football Club that I shall be making the 800 mile round trip this weekend. If this is the begining of the end then I for one want to show my aligiance while I can. I would urge as many others as possible to show their support, to keep heads held high and not go out with a whimper. This is Rangers, domestically the most successful team of all time. for all you do-gooder dhims. the gers are not offcially in administration. but whyte is getting the paperwork together to put us into admin which means hmrc wouldnt get paid, as whyte is the biggest creditor. getting this notice of intention forces hmrc's hand into accepting a cut price deal.

ryanrfc

Believable15 Unbelievable17

Althou whyte is the main creditor, doesn't the taxman go to the top of the list, no matter what?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ryanrfc; check the rules mate. if he leads you into admin he loses preferred creditor status.it forces nothing.what if it forces a winding up order?

Agree0 Disagree0

No it doesn't. HMRC policy is quite clear pay up or close up

Agree0 Disagree0

You obviously are a cretin who has no idea how business works! Rangers going into administration has no bearing on the tax case whatsoever, if the case is lost it is just another debt for the administrators to sort out, also the tax man gets paid first before Whyte(as preferred creditor)

Do you really think HMRC would accept 5m or 10m when they could possibly be owed 50m.

Get this through your thick skulls, if found guilty of Tax Evasion there will be no cut price deal!

Agree0 Disagree0

That's right the tax man hasn't got a clue what yous are up to.craighwhytecsc

Agree0 Disagree0

Once again the public get cheated if tax bill is not paid garlar07

Agree0 Disagree0

Would the Tax Man do a deal with ME if I offered him 10p in the pound not a chance so why would he do it for rangers. He want all that is owed to Him the government has said so in the past that HRMC have not to do DEALS.

Agree0 Disagree0

If adminstration is sought they need the agreement of majority of creditors. HMRC is the biggest creditor by a country mile therefore if they do not accept a cut price deal then there is no voluntary administration and insolvency follows. HMRC does not do cut price deals!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I could be wrong here, but CW paid off the bank using wavetower now glasgow Rangers ltd or something like that, so CW isn't the prefered creditor, but the new company he created is. Also I could be wrong again or have a thick skull, but I'm almost certain it's not tax evasion. Like I said I could be wrong...Nivbear.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you'll find HMRC get paid when the administrators sell off every asset Rangers have. Mr Whyte will then be the preferred creditor for a portaloo and a burger van because that's all that will be left of Rangers FC

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree he's actually protecting the club by putting a safety net in i you like,HMRC will get little or nothing if we go into administration, thats not in their interests ,making a deal would ensure they get a larger return

Agree0 Disagree0

Fact. admin means hmrc get next to hee haw.

why do dhim read our rumours page and lie lie lie. f off.

"Do you really think HMRC would accept 5m or 10m when they could possibly be owed 50m.

Get this through your thick skulls, if found guilty of Tax Evasion there will be no cut price deal!"

As a true Rangers football fan who has followed them for nearly 35 years this is a really sad day. What has Mr Whyte brought to our club. He arrived with all his chat about what he could bring to Rangers. Not for one minute did i think this would end up happening to us . What has gone wrong and so quickly. Mr Whyte is not to blame for all Rangers problems but i dont think he has helped them. SG

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see it tbh they didnt make their millions by pissing it against a wall i hope im wrong but i fear for the first time hopefully he does have a plan that suits gers as well as himself

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd like to think that this message will bear fruit. With all the wealth they have between them, they wouldn't even think of it as loose change.
If they love the club enough they will help, if not well I fear the worst eventually.

Wee Bill

Agree0 Disagree0

Pay your bills and you wont need to appeal to wealthy fans

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont worry Mr Whyte still has the £25 million warchest

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance, why would they? They have had years to buy the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Before u start asking these people for money, maybe we the rangers fans should remember that Murray underwrote a shares issue a few years back that hardly any fan put money into. Easy to blame Whyte but this started a long time ago.

CJM

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, Just a question as I'm not sure on this one, does D.King still own a lot of shares in Rangers? if so how can Whyte sack him from the board? {Ed001's Note - being on the board is not necessarily related to owning shares.}

Agree0 Disagree0

These so callled rich 'rangers' men had ample opportunity to put their money where their mouth was, and what did they do? nothing. so what makes you think they will step in and save the day? have patience, wait and see what the endgame is. ryanrfc

Believable16 Unbelievable9

Dream on !

Agree0 Disagree0

That is pretty much what it says on bbc website. trying to force a deal if rangers don't strike a deal with hmrc they might get nothing or like 10p on the pound or something like that as hmrc will be another creditor. i don't like this happening to our club but we have only filed for admin its not upon us as yet. we will need to wait and see what comes of this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Very true! I was thinking the same myself when I read it on the BBC website. Negotiating will happen between HMRC, because they would loose out!

don't get me wrong, i don't trust this guy but one thing's sure we couldn't have gone on as we were for another few years (official Q&A on rangers site says HMRC will appeal, appeal and appeal)

I have been told off a number of sources that there is going to be a gatherring of gers fans outside murray park tomorrow at around 3pm to show support the players and staff.

Believable19 Unbelievable20

Best that guy Whyte moves on

Agree0 Disagree0

It is not a rumour it is a fact. According to reliable sources intention to go into administration was filed yesterday and was prompted because the directors have been contacted by HM revenues prior to publication of their judgement....you do not have to be a mathematician to work out that the case has obviously gone against Rangers. Thanks to the dodgy dealing of Mr Whyte WE are in deep doodoo....I ask how a guy with such a sordid background was ever allowed anywhere near our club and its finances. So much for the SFA checking for fit and proper club owners.

just to make it clear rangers are NOT in administration YET they had given notice to go into admin ..if and its a big IF we win tax case we will not go into admin

Believable12 Unbelievable9

Oh my God. Still in denial. It is Rangers who filed for administration. If it is not the clubs intention to enter into administration, then why bother filing for it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly.....applying for and entering admi. are 2 totally different issues.....tax case result imminent and we have won i hear....so no admin.....watp

Agree0 Disagree0

This has Nothing to do with the Big Tax Case ! The club can't pay it's ordinary Bills - no Cash, no credit .

Agree0 Disagree0

Even a result in the tax case will still generate a bill for between 4-7m so i cant see that happening

Agree0 Disagree0

U r mad, no admin ? it will happen, why go into admin win big tax case then come out of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I may be wrong here but my understanding is once you have filed for admin you have 5 days to decide whether to go in to administration or not. There is no gaurantee the tax case will be decided within 5 days so im guessing its Rangers other financial difficulties that have forced whyte to file for admin?

Agree0 Disagree0

We have lost and that is why today has happened

Agree0 Disagree0

They have 5-10 days to appoint an administrator, the tax case is not till next month!

Agree0 Disagree0

Who is in denial? What the poster has said is correct. We are NOT in administration as of today, more than likely we will be by Friday but stranger things have happened. on the plus side for you Timothys we have all but handed you a title if Admin is confirmed!

BBC

BBC Scotland's business and economy editor, Douglas Fraser, said the legal moves on Monday surrounding administration would give the club "a few days for negotiations with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC)".

It could be that filing the papers is ploy to force HMRC's hand and agree a manageable deal for the club to alow it to settle with HMRC...

Believable18 Unbelievable14

That would be an admission of wrong doing and would get charged full amount.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish, time for any deals with HMRC has passed , long ago. the court will give its verdict soon, but todays intentions make it quite plain that the verdict will go against Rangers and the tax money will have to be paid. Black day

Agree0 Disagree0

If that was the case they would HAVE to go into administration.seems more likely whyte now knows the result of the case and this is his only option

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC (i.e the government) wont be held to ransom by a failed businessman like craig whyte. You must realise, important as Rangers are to Scottish football the majority of people in Britain couldn't give two hoots whether they (or celtic) continue to trade. Businesses fold every day, another one wont make a difference to the revenue, in fact it may provide a timely warning for others to get their tax affairs in order or suffer severe consequences. This is not brinkmanship it is desperation to make a profit as he misjudged the viability of the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish eh....? read STV website Q & A

HMRC are not a preferred creditor, so would only receive however many pence in the £ is agreed with creditors.

HMRC will lose out, assuming they win the case, by Rangers going into administration.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reply top HMRC wont be held to ransom....

BBC Website

Sports Minister Shona Robison said: "I understand that Rangers and HMRC are continuing dialogue and we obviously want to see an agreement which will protect jobs and enable the club to stay in business.

"Rangers is a crucial part of Scotland's national game, and our interest is ensuring that a resolution can be arrived at between HMRC and the club to deliver these vital objectives."

Fellow Bears:

I think Saturday is the prefect opportunity to let our feelings known. I think EVERY fan should gather at the doors of Ibrox before and after tha match and demand answers! We need to put Whyte in his place.

I seriously hope there will be a statement from Ibrox shortly!!!!!!!

TTG

Believable13 Unbelievable15

Are you gathering at all the previous board members doors they created the debt wait until the dust settles then see what happens

Agree0 Disagree0

You seriously think this is all Craig Whyte`s doing ? David Murray has his hands all over this , loyal fans have been treated with total disdain. Almost 140 years of history flushed down the pan . A very sad day for Rangers and Scottish football

Agree0 Disagree0

Why dont 50,000 of us gather INSIDE the stadium and do our job and support !

FauldsRFC

Agree0 Disagree0

I think its more important that we support the team in these tough times than make mindless protests

Agree0 Disagree0

Indeed... gather inside the stadium and support our team, we knew this was coming so get behind the boys and show the level of support the Gers deserve.

Believable14 Unbelievable9

Thats the big quiston.
I am a celtic fan but i bet Mr Whyte has something up his sleeve he is not an idiot

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig Whyte would lose his 'preferred creditor' staus if HMRC case goes against Rangers. He has got in there first. So kinda thinking this HMRC rumour of Rangers having won the case is wrong. Kind of looking like Craig Whyte has the knows that the case is going to go against the club.

Truth, not rumour. Watch Whyte's next move. Will he sue the BBC, STV and SFA this time? Will he sell Ibrox to Tesco for a supermarket? How many houses can he cram into the training ground site?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a Leeds fan first, 'Gers second. Been there, done that - not good :-(

How can we sign Cousan if in administration and does that also mean that we cannot pay for Celik ? Oh sorry was using the Royal WE.

Celtic fans p*** off with your hail hail, rangers fans have more things to worry about than your stupid posts, in any case the only reason yous can win a title is cause we are going into administration, that does not say much about yous when yous cant win it through hard work and simply beating us fair and square, yous are a sad sad lot and even in our state i will always rather be a blue nose than a sad pathetic loser

Can someone please answer this -

scrolling down i see rangers have win the tax case then i see we have enter into admin - what is going on with our beloved club?

i would not be surprised if rangers is no more by the end of the season :(

Sad day right enough. Turns Scottish football into a bigger joke than it already is. As a football fan (Celtic) I get no pleasure from this news. Don't care what Lawell says Scottish football needs a Rangers FC

To the post about celtic winning title did we nnot come back from 15 points behind to 4 points in front , nothing to do with administration so come on fair play to us , you have injurys we have injurys but to say we only got there by yous going into admin is wrong

Celtic are winning the league with hard work ya diddy. Hence the 4 point advantage.

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys, I am a dandy and in no way I am on here to gloat. Thing is, that what's happening at Ibrox could happen to any club in the SPL at some stage. This is about an institution which is sadly struggling and it is indeed a sad day for true fans of Rangers and football generally. I hope you guys get the answers you deserve.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are NOT YET ...!! only been applied for .

Agree0 Disagree0

We are not in administration we have just
shown our intent to do so,this means that
we can negotiate with HMRC over the next ten days without any further financial penalties been imposed and allowing us to
agree terms with other creditors,if agreement can be reached it would be better for everyone as admin would mean less money to pay to creditors.HMRC are not going away even if we win the case they will appeal and keep doing so we have to hope an agreement can be made.

Believable18 Unbelievable3

13 Feb 2012 15:17:58
Rangers have lodged an intention to go into administration with the Court of Session.

The Ibrox club lodged the notice in Edinburgh at Monday lunchtime.

They now have ten days in which to declare administrators have taken over the running of the club.

It is understood the papers are the first step in any formal administration process. It allows the club to speak to creditors to see if they reach an agreement without appointing administrators to take over the running of the club.

Rangers FC are currently awaiting the result of a £49m tax case with HM Revenue and Customs in relation to the club's use of the Employee Benefits Trust to pay players and staff.

The Court of Session confirmed to STV that papers signalling the intention to appoint administrators had been received from the club's solicitors acting on behalf of their directors.

Interesting that Whyte has played the administration card BEFORE the result of the tax case is known.

run out of money, or is this a tactic to negotiate better terms with HMRC?

there's been enough headlines/ digging around background etc. Mr Whyte claims to have a plan. now's the time Craig.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have not entered administration yet, it is just a notice of our intention to enter administration. So my guessing is that there will be a decision on the Tax Case very shortly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte get yer arse oot ya muppet ffs

Agree0 Disagree0

:-( sad sad day. Maybe we can do a deal with creditors before we actually enter admin. This is like a cooling off period to see if deals can be done. But THE main question is where is the £25m Whyte borrowed??

Based on my calculations, we could pay the fecking bill!

season ticket sales = £15m
Ticketus revenue = £24m
Jelavic = £6m
Bougy = £2.7m
Whytes investment = il crack the jokes!

Thats the best part of £50m yet administration??? cant understand that, we are being robbed blind by whyte and his cronies! cant actually believe he thinks he will get away with this.

FauldsRFC

It's 10 points SPL deduction. and 10 again if admin in same season

Agree0 Disagree0

Very surprised that it took so long........every other supporter of every other club has seen it coming!!!!!!!!!!!
Wake up loyal supporters

Agree0 Disagree0

Because Whyte can stiff the taxman (and taxpayers, thats you and me) for nothing now

Agree0 Disagree0

I think us Gers fans need to get down to Ibrox and get protesting. I think the game at the wknd will the perfect opportunity to make our feelings known.

Who do we blame? Whyte or Murray? or both?

This will only have an adverse effect on the players, especially the Gers die-hards.

Although it was inevitable that we were going into Administration, It's clear we were taken for ride by Whyte. A lot of us actually bought his lies, the writing was on the wall. Through sheer optimism and staying positive, us fans were literally reemed by Craig Whyte and his lies.

So.....what now?!

TTG

Agree0 Disagree0

If they waited till the tax case was settled and HMRC win , they become the secured creditor instead of Whyte and we go into liquidation. Is that right ed ? {Ed001's Note - I am not 100% sure on that, FIFA rules dictate football creditors would get first dibs on the money. It would certainly be messy.}

Football talk for a change! I know a lot of Rangers fans won't like this but the balance about the team was far better when Broadfoot came on for Bartley. Bartley is a terrible right back, I'm not having a go at him because he is a decent CB but he has no positional sense at RB.

GovanFR

Believable26 Unbelievable5

I really like Bartley but he's never a RB, he's young and a solid player who could potentially be an English international CB but saying the balance was better with Broadfoot is completely accurate in my opinion.

WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. Broadfoot at least knows the position. Bartley has been making costly mistakes in that position and our defence doesn't look balanced, as you say.

Lee Beejeebees

Agree0 Disagree0

Caught out by pace and bad positioning and why does he insist with that 50 yard diagonal ball to no-one?

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree, much more balanced with Broadfoot at right back. Will be tricky for Bartley to get in the team at CB.

CJM

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed. Also would like to see Wallace at LB, offers far more than Papac, better defensively and going forward imo. I hope Ally will stop playing defenders all over the park and give either Kerkar or Mervan the LM role.

WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more, hes a solid CB for his age but I don't think he has the right mental attributes for RB but I think broadfoot did give rangers better wide and more options in attack when he came on, ofcourse whitiker is better than both..

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree gfr, we'll have to see if Ally agrees against Kilmarnock on saturday though !

Agree0 Disagree0

Would never have broadfoot near a football team, he is basically the oppostions help, very short memories some of you have, he has cost so many games.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he doesnt then maybe the rumours about having an agreement with Arsene Wenger that he'll play him regularly are true. Might be back to arsenall sooner than we thing if the administrator decides so

Hi ed, do you think cousin will sign today ? Or will whyte pull the plug on the deal and leave McCoist using McCullough up front til we get our main strikers back ? {Ed001's Note - it should be done, but you do make a good point about there being a possibility of the plug being pulled. It is very similar to the situation at Liverpool, when the club was on the verge of admin under Gillett and Hicks, though no one knew just how desperate the situation was back then as the club had finished 2nd in the league. But deals were done to sign David Silva and David Villa before G&H pulled the rug out form under Rafa and cancelled the deals. At the time it was all blamed on Parry, but now looking back on it it was clear the club was just in money trouble and it was kept quiet. Unfortunately, even the staff involved will only know for sure after the deal is either signed off or cancelled, anything beforehand is merely an opinion.}
