MPH I generally enjoy your input and respect your views but the important word you used was rumours and that is what this site is for. Many folk all heard the false claims that he had passed and decided to pass on the news here for other bears who hadn’t heard but in hindsight it would have been better waiting until it was officially announced before posting on here (I include myself on that) but that’s what this page is for, to pass on rumours that we’ve heard.

The worst kind sgl. Walter Smith is a legend and someone that to us supporters it's not too much to say that he is loved like a family member so to hear that people put stuff like that out there as a joke makes my blood boil. I thought the late great tommy burns's son jonathan's message to sir walter yesterday was pure class and once again proves that class is in all different religions/ creeds and various football supporters of different clubs 👍 There's so much good people on all sides and of course on the flip side there's bad classless idiots on all sides also unfortunately 👎😡.

People need to understand no prizes are given out for passing on sad news especially when it’s not true I’d like to wish Walter a speedy recovery he is a legend to our club he brought us so many great moments I can still picture him climbing up the Copland stand to hand his lucky blue cardigan to The Copland Nutter ( the guy with the drum) legend.

Don’t shoot the messenger but I’ve just been told that sir Walter has sadly passed away and will be announced by family tomorrow. If this is indeed true then it’s a very sad day and pray for his family. Forever a Rangers legend.
