Not a chance, he’s a decent shot stopper but his kicking and command of area are both well under par. He’s an SPL or Championship goalkeeper but for bottom half club in either division and I’d guess worth less than £1m

ASBO - iv been defending big WES for a while now, and couldn't actually believe the stick he has been getting. So iv taken the time to look back through highlights and Stats etc and actually i'm beginning to see that he's maybe not the man for us. He is actually a great shotstopper and his reflexes are very good, but for all the goals he's prevented he has lost a similar number with his decision making and the ball at his feet. He just doesn't quite command his area and while he will leave his line to attack the ball at one corner - the next similar corner he doesn't leaving confusion in the defense. Having said all that there are a number of occasions his defense have not protected him and everyone in the league knows if they hit us on the break they only have to send a runner to the back post where Tavernier won't be. Frustratingly i think there is potentially an excellent keeper in big Wes but it doent look like we will have him next season.

AyrRanger, I was excited when Wes signed. Tagged as a fantastic prospect but for me he is weak, doesn't command his area, loses far too many shots from distance because of his positioning, looks dodgy at crosses, his distribution is really poor, I sit in the West Enclosure and the amount of times he kicks the ball straight out the park in from of us, also he takes too long to get the ball out. I will agree our defence is horrendous but between our keepers the majority being Wes we have played a total of 52 games this season including league, cups and friendlies and have let in 64 goals. Horrendous stats. I really really hope we bring McGregor back, voted player of the year at Hill, knows what it's about at Rangers and in my opinion much better than Wes.

I think midfield is shaping up nicely with Arfield coming in, and if Rossiter stays fit be like another new signing I think one more experienced midfielder and we are looking good in the middle along with docherty and jack, if rumours are true with Mcburnie and Marriot we looking good up too aswell, hopefully we bring in skirtel a big commanding centre half is what we need, i'd keep Alves and bring another good cente back in along with a young lad with good potential to work with them, needing cover and competition for our full backs and we ain’t far away,

More seriously I've been reading eveyones opinion of the 10 or 12 players we need rid of. I agree with a lot on those lists but think it should be done slowly 3 or 4 top quality signings would make a huge difference to our team then add 1 or 2 in Jan and another 3 next year = title winners.

The INVINCABLES got beat by a team that struggled with our under par squad, aye right.
