Jordan Rhodes is Ally McCoists number one target for January and Craig Whyte is willing to pay the £3m fee to take him to Ibrox, although the deal will apparantly include a huge sell on fee for his current club.

The deal for the South Korean is newspaper talk to aid Celtics bid to tie Ki Sung Yong on a longer deal, Rangers have no interest in the player.

The Indian trialists will not be moving to Rangers and doubt surrounds Alukos move to Rangers, Aberdeen wont let their compensation claim go and Sone's reps are wanting funny money and guaranteed playing time.

Ally knows the club need a striker or two. The fans need to know the club are trying so hard to find the right player(s) to come to the club.

There is money there, do not panic and support the club as you already do. Have faith.

The future for Rangers is looking very bright.

Believable51 Unbelievable60

You need tp get a life and stop posting crap ... You don't know anything about the proposed transfers/trials, have a coke and a smile, the grass is always greener !

Agree0 Disagree0

Alright ally whos on the starting eleven on Saturday stop talking s**te mate

Agree0 Disagree0

I really hope your right about Jordan Rhodes

Agree0 Disagree0

You are living in cloud cuckoo land, there will be no £3 million player arriving any time soon. Do you not read the news, the tax case will still be running long after the transfer window slams shut. Uncertainty will mean that the best we hope for is no moves in or out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jordan Rhodes will not come to the SPL, the reason why is that clubs in the EPl are looking at him. West Brom, Fulham & Aston Villa. So for him to choose Rangers is like me meeting jesus.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good player with a great future, but Hemmings might be given a chance by McCoist. We dont have £3 million to spend on Jordan Rhodes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jordan Rhodes, looks like everyone and there grannies going for him, 1st it was Celtic, then Newcastle then west Han then villa next it'll be Barcelona, get a grip eh

Agree0 Disagree0

No comeback on the reply's to your post, tells me you you are an escapee, and the authorities must be informed !!...

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this or is this not a rumors site. hnk people should either stick to there own teams page or if they are rangers fans then lay off the guy. Even if this is not true i think every rangers fan needs to believe that there is light at the end of the very long and dark tunnel we are currently in and a rumor like this does provide a bit of hope.albeit it may be false.

Agree0 Disagree0

Same as above really plus rangers couldnt match his wages that other EPL teams are offering.

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree i dont think that one will happen, he is hot property at the moment, and although i would like to say he will join for the chance of trophies and possible european football, i just think the money to be made elsewhere, even in the championship is too much for us to compete with. I am not shooting it down just dont see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we want him? We've got somebody better (on the bench) and on probably 1/10 of the wages.

David Healy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he want to come to us? He's got PL teams wanting him like Newcastle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would aberdeen want compensation? Aluko's a free agent, has been since the summer. He has no club

s-bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers cant compete for rhodes. he has been linked with top teams in england and he has been valued at 2-4million. we couldnt even afford his wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wages are not an issue, he is on a few hundred a week at Huddersfield, Rangers pay average squad players £7-10k a week and their top players £25k a week.

Aberdeen are entitled to compensation because Aluko was there as a kid for so long.

To all the Celtic fans sick at the thought of Rangers not closing down any time soon, get used to it. We are and always will be Scotlands biggest and best club and the worlds most successful club.

Thank you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wages are an issue! only 3 players at rangers are on 20-25k a week and they are all proven experienced internationals. besides in huddersfield local paper today states celtic and fulham are sniffing about and huddersfield say they want far more than 2million for their star player. some of my fellow bluenoses are naive to the fact that we dont have 2 pennies to rub together hense the reason we are looking at 2 indians and aluko who doesnt even have a club!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense, why would Celtic be interested if he is out of Rangers league? haha Celtic are even more skint than Rangers and that is a fact.

Rhodes will command no more than £5k a week on his next move, he is not established yet and has so much more to learn in the game.

In what way do Rangers not have 2 pennies to rub together? We spent £6m in the summer and extended contracts for at least 3 key players.

My senses tell me you are on the wrong rumour site. {Ed014's Note - www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/newcastle-celtic-in-2m-striker-battle---reports

Agree0 Disagree0

The very fact that we are on the verge of entering administration could be a factor. wht planet are u on. and 1 other thing, rhodes will get far more than 5k per week. u are a dilussional supporter who cannot face up to the fact that we are SKINT!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol @ Ed, Celtic dont have £2m. They had to sell Maloney to part fund the Bangura move.

Bank debts may sit at £500k but over all club debts stand well over £15m something you wont read in the newspapers.

And i would not class The Mirror as a reliable source, at all. One should know better than to pass on rumours from a newspaper. {Ed014's Note - It is a rumour/banter site.I posted a link to a rumour.

Agree0 Disagree0

"The very fact that we are on the verge of entering administration could be a factor. wht planet are u on. and 1 other thing, rhodes will get far more than 5k per week. u are a dilussional supporter who cannot face up to the fact that we are SKINT!"

We are obviously not skint and are certainly not on the verge of admin. That is a Celtic wish.

He will be lucky to get £5k in his next move, i was being generous, maybe you should stay off football manager?

Agree0 Disagree0

'we are obviously not skint' what can u possibly base that on. we have no money and are on the verge of going into administration. what part of that dont u understand. u are like too many fellow gers fans who come on here and bury their head in the sand. mr whyte even said himself that the wage structure has to come down

Agree0 Disagree0

No he didnt, that is another lie. He said costs need cut. Our squad is big to compete in just 2 domestic competitions.

You really should stay off they Celtic fansites. Extremely bad for your health.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree,he was quoted as saying the wage structure is to be reduced. some fans are in cloud cookoo land if they believe money is suddenly to appear from thin air!

Agree0 Disagree0

What utter, utter nonsense.

Rangers HMRC tax case been deferred until January 17th.
Means we'll at least reach the January window.

Believable44 Unbelievable10

But...with a final decision possibly not being reached until April, Craig Whyte will have to find another £10 million to keep the club afloat until then.
I predict some big names will be sold in January to raise money to take you through to April.

Agree0 Disagree0

But how would you know what Mr Whyte has to do ?Are you his right hand man then...tssr lol

Agree0 Disagree0

First responder has been reading that fantasy rangerstaxcase website and has been doing a bit of cutting and pasting! Same as a number of replies of late.

Looks like said site keeps getting its dates wrong. If you were to believe it we would have no money to make it past the end of january, the tax case would be finished, administrators in by now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Y more time on this it should have been sorted by now, it makes me think 1 side has came up with something to swing the case and the other is wanting more time to challenge it, just a thought. plz let it be good news for the champions elect, number 55 time to come home.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gees am running out of finger nails to bite. wot is keeping the tax case this must be sumthing really bad because if it was good news it would have been leaked to keep us happy. Hate to say it guys but this could be the final nail.
Rangers till were no more!!"

Agree0 Disagree0

I smell AD#%&*ION!

Agree0 Disagree0

I read that a decision on the tax case will likely not be finalised until the season has ended which, in a way, could be good news as the likelyhood of Rangers going into administration before the end of the season is lessened, meaning, no points deduction this year and a very good chance of title 55 coming home. Keep the faith, WATP.... BlueS2

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice play sir david, whyte must find even more money (loan sharks ru) to keep going or pull the plug and look mr bad guy-sir david you a playing a blinder

Agree0 Disagree0

VERY clever move by the Crook THE WHTYE KNIGHT, Put the case out the way get title in. Then hopful get into Champions league LOL, Here's hoping avoild a 3rd rate team AGAIN

Aluko's like he is being offered a deal ! K. McD in the sun. 4 in a row...... Good ? Bad ?

Believable26 Unbelievable11

Something different cant be bad, low risk

Agree0 Disagree0

Fae wit a remember of him at Aberdeen he's no bad. And we need somebody to cover whilst naisy recovers so why not??if signed would we need to wait till January for him to play?
Ayrbear

Agree0 Disagree0

No he,s a free agent aberdeen let him go end of last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

As far as I can make out he is a free agent so can play straight away. But I read yesterday that Aberdeen would be entitled to compensation?
Dmrangers

Agree0 Disagree0

He might not require compensation, because he was signed straight away as a first team player, so aberdeen was not part of his development to being a first team player

Agree0 Disagree0

Just something else we'll have to go to a hearing about! Lol
Dmrangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a bad signing, think he could be good for us, better than Bedoya and ortiz anyday of the week!

Agree0 Disagree0

His signing still represents us shopping in Lidl's as opposed to Marks and Spencers, another rubbish player to complement Ortiz and Bedoya....

Agree0 Disagree0

Aluko on the ball ... plays it to whittaker whittaker 1-2 with aluko aluko to jelavic... JELAVIC STRIKES IT OOOOH FOSTER SAVES ONLY FOR THE BALL TO LAND AT THE FEET OF ALUKO GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOAL GOAL GOAL ALUKO buries it in the roof of the net fraser foster bundled the ball straight to aluko for his fith of the season RANGERS 3 CELTIC 0 and theres still 10 mins left. sounds good ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Think the above poster has been on the red bull!!he'll do for cover however is there no one in the youth team that could make the step up. mylde and wilson were both found when we NEEDED to play youth so this could be anpther oppurtunity to let someone flourish

Agree0 Disagree0

Another bench warmer

Agree0 Disagree0

If u think about it we need better players for our bench but also for the team as a whole, i dont think he will fit into naisys posistion but i think he would be a good impact sub. but we wont know until we see him

Agree0 Disagree0

He has only started his trial for a period of one week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let us talk sense here. Aluko looked like a very good player with Aberdeen. Super has been linked with quite a few players over the last few weeks, but Aluko is one that we all know about because we have seen him play. Ally has also seen him play in the S.P.L. I often wonder about the players that we read about that are being linked with our great club. Has Ally got anything to do with bringing them in for a trial. Aluko I believe is probably one that Ally has said that he would be interested in. I hope that he impresses enough to earn a deal with us as he looks like and to a certain extent has proved to be the kind of player that can give defenders a problem or three. in the Ideal world I would still like to see Templeton from Hearts in a Rangers shirt ahead of Him but I do believe that Aluko could be a good signing and go on to be great one.

Agree0 Disagree0

3 zero sounds amazing, and if it unfold in the manner you have presented it, al take it, the funny thing is it could happen lol i would take him worth a punt i think, better than the rest of the barrel we have searched through.

Gers to make lone bid for attacking midfielder, Yoon Bit Garam, of Korea. It is a deal until end of season with a view to a long term deal being struck. Any Bears know of this guy ? Also, if we are being linked with the players being reported in the tabloids, then does this not suggest we are in a better state of affairs than some would have us believe ?.... I know it's rumour, but surely they can't all be b******t ?... Rangers ' Til I die, onwards and upward Bears.
PS: Well done Scotland U21's, ecellent result.

Believable14 Unbelievable4

The only issue is the pending tax case mate white has stated that there will need to be cuts as the club is spending more than it earns so looking to asia and india for players seems a good idea as the wages he will need to pay will be no where near what championship players earn. in white we trust

Agree0 Disagree0

Not just the lower wages but think of the possible commerical revenue.

with this estimated new 100million people market we will be aiming to tap into, if just 1% of them start to follow rangers that a million new fans, if they all buy a offical team shirt than that looking at a £40 million income. that would be an amazing input into the club,

so i can defo see why on a business side rangers are trying to push this, as ali russell said its all about extending the global brand.. {Ed001's Note - I think you need to revise your figures, Rangers would get nothing like £40m from shirt sales, even if every person in India bought one.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed001 the current estimated population of india is 1,170,938,000.. for rangers to make 40million on them figures.. they would on need 35P profit from every shirt sold if as u said every one there bought one. and im pretty sure they make more than 35p on every shirt they sell.. and u will notice in my original post in said income and not profit,

and that simply working it out at £40 a top, to 1million people. the income not profit at that price is £40 million income {Ed001's Note - they don't get a cut of the shirt, they get paid a set fee for the deal. Clubs only get a cut of shirts if they are sold at the club shops. Unless Rangers have changed their deal from the usual. All that selling a lot of shirts does for a club is increase the value of any subsequent deals.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers current deal with jjb is. As well as the guaranteed £3m royalties each year, Rangers will also be given additional payments when certain levels of turnover are met by the sports company this is for the uk .. i doubt the people in india have a local jjb to nip down to,

so in thinking they would have to buy directly from the club online, or rangers would have to agree a new deal with a sports company in india to retails there products for them. and im sure that if they did a deal with an indian company whyte would want more than 35p profit on the products..

Agree0 Disagree0

Even still....you guys honestly think folk in india are going to shell out 40 quid for a football top? you've got to be joking, they get paid that for a whole weeks work, im pretty sure they'd rather buy necessities to live rather than a gers top

ps of topic but i seen a guy with 'rat oot' on the back of his gers top....what a classy chap

Agree0 Disagree0

Would the name " Rhammittbawdeep " be inappropriate as a name on the back of a Rangers shirt !!!.... 4 in a row

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen ,if this south korean is half as good as Park at man unt,we will do ok,what ive noticed is they are great athletes, although small they are tough cookies,i welcome him.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Even still....you guys honestly think folk in india are going to shell out 40 quid for a football top? you've got to be joking, they get paid that for a whole weeks work, im pretty sure they'd rather buy necessities to live rather than a gers top"

firstly, what a stupid generalisation. yes there are many poor indians and regions of india. but out of 1 billion people are you suggesting not a fair amount can afford a reasonably expensive football top?
however, chances are the majority of rangers shirt sales would not be 40 pound up-to-date shirts, and rather older, cheaper tops. but the wearing of team shirts spreads the image of the club, and generates interest, so even if we dont make 3 billion pounds in shirt sales, signing an indian striker who is GOOD enough and can expand the rangers brand would be a good signing.

BUT THEY HAVE TO BE GOOD ENOUGH!

November 29th is the day everyone has been eagerly-awaiting, on both sides of the Channel. That is the day that mighty Glasgow Rangers visit the Imtech Arena in Hamburg for a friendly game. Both sets of fans have been friends for 35 years. It goes without saying that Rangers are one of the best-supported clubs in the world, and we can't wait to welcome their team and their loyal fans to Hamburg again.

Its just a pitty all you hamburgers are going to see your team get destroyed off the mighty glasgow rangers then!.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the above reply poster ,me thinks I can smell a Celtic supporter masquerading as a rangers supporter? , will make a difference then than us destroying Celtic every season . 54 and counting. Pennyboy

It will be a great occasion cant wait Rangers and Hamburg brothers.
