Partick Thistle have decided against legal action, as they say the money would be better spent keeping them afloat at this time, also, Stranraer have also said that they couldn't afford any action. Possibly, League Reconstruction will save both these Clubs.

16 Apr 2020 17:53:25
To the vast amount of Scottish clubs it's all about existing. The SPFL have bullied these clubs by saying if they don't vote yes they will get nothing, threating that existence. Terrible, terrible state of affairs. if nobody else stands up to these bullies I think rangers are farting against thunder.

17 Apr 2020 05:50:55
If rangers have the fuel to start the fire then start it.

Most of us believe it's the same bluster from the rangers board that we have heard many times in the past.

Its now either put up or shut up from the rangers board.

17 Apr 2020 09:12:55
Yeah let's see some action Tenis, I sometimes get the feeling we are being kidded too much from them to appease us.

17 Apr 2020 11:06:24
thistles employee would never dare action against their ex employers. they have to live there.

16 Apr 2020 16:53:30
So officially no challenge in the courts from partick thistle. will rangers now come out and show the two pairs of aces they are allegedly holding that will being the pack of cards down.

Reminds me of a scene from only fools and horses, however del boy actually held the aces.

16 Apr 2020 23:24:53
2 pair lol.

16 Apr 2020 23:36:00
Tensthefuture, del boys onto a loser, mr parks holds the winning hand, show it when you are ready.

17 Apr 2020 08:27:01
Paul, everyone else has called, it's show your cards or fold your hand, everyone is waiting on paying out from the table.

17 Apr 2020 10:51:11
You’ve got me singing the gambler noo lol.

16 Apr 2020 16:30:26
Ibrox4Me, as you said earlier today on your post regarding new balance,
that you were friendly with someone who worked for them as an accountant and had info on the problems they had with celtic. I would ask you this pal, if i may?
Does your source have any info at all if i'm correct in saying that new balance will be replacing hummel as our new kit manufacturers
and if indeed at all are new balance in the running to become our new kit manufacturers? Would be much appreciated mate if you have anything at all regarding info if i'm correct or not here! Cheers!

16 Apr 2020 20:35:47
So super yesterday you were calling out buzz bee or whatever his name was saying deal with new balance was happening end of this month. Now you asking a guy if they are actually in the running to be our new kit manufactures. Do you just sit in the house and make this kit thing up? Not a dig but a serious question.

16 Apr 2020 23:19:39
Fauldhouse bear, i seen sgl calling buzz lightyear out on here yesterday, but surely its a case of s. g. l. Has heard something, and is asking a guy if he can confirm it for him. that's my reading of it,

17 Apr 2020 11:07:47
who wouldn't call buzz out.

16 Apr 2020 11:42:54
If my QC 'friend' is correct and Rangers and Partick Thistle launch court proceedings an injunction could be put in place stopping ALL leagues from playing as they currently stand, thereby, forcing SPFL to have another rethink, on league standings, winners, losers, those relegated and prize monies.

The stitch up is starting to unwind.

16 Apr 2020 17:03:32
Nope. Partick have released a statement today saying they will accept it. They’ve backed down. No legal action from them anyway.

I think what will happen now is league reconstruction, meaning there will be no relegation and the stench given the title.

16 Apr 2020 19:02:53
How funny will it be if league construction gets voted against.
Then hearts and thistle go down.

16 Apr 2020 23:10:46
Yea I thought that John but I am nearly 100%
That they will change the rules to get it done no matter what obviously the teams that have mysteriously changed their mind have been coheresed with that carrot.

16 Apr 2020 23:22:14
John25! thistle and hearts would just change there votes again, mate, lol, lol.

17 Apr 2020 06:20:12
Really cany see how they can reconstruct the leagues if I'm honest. New sky deal just negotiated and the biggest bargaining point for our league is 4 old firm games a season. I honestly can't see sky being happy if that gets cut to 2 games. Think it's far more likely they just eont relegate or promote anybody. Think partick saying they won't sue after there stance last week tells a story, they know they're not getting relegated 👍.

16 Apr 2020 11:00:28
I see the gutter press are now putting pressure on the Jags not to seek interim interdict, as it would allegedly sink nine clubs.

16 Apr 2020 14:09:45
No reason for any clubs to 'sink' SPFL have the ability to give team's cash without the league finishing. They're just choosing not too.

16 Apr 2020 14:28:44
There will be no reconstruction of leagues hearts will be relegated.

16 Apr 2020 14:52:57
How do you know this thebear82.

16 Apr 2020 16:47:42
Because the whole point of this resolution was about getting the money quicker so are the same teams desperate for money going to vote for bigger league and get less money next season there will be no guns to heads for this to pass.

16 Apr 2020 10:28:36
So Dundee FC have sold their souls to the SPFL devil. The no vote that never was, that became null and void (? ) before magically reappearing from cyberspace and becoming a yes vote with the promise of unknown backhanders and the title of the saviours of Scottish Football!
If we are lead to believe anything, it appears their change of mind was all to do with league reconstruction. What's in it for Dundee FC?
Going by current standings, the only way league reconstruction would benefit Dundee FC is if the Premier League was increased to 16 teams. Even with an 8-team split to give the TV companies their 4 Old Firm games they crave, that's a 44 game season! And considering it's all about the money for these clubs would the bottom 8 clubs be happy about 2 less visits ( 1 Rangers and 1 Tim ) from the Old Firm?
So have Dundee FC been offered additional benefits to back league reconstruction in the form of cash incentives? And why should they be the only club that benefits? Are we therefore looking at a 14-club top flight? Which would see no relegation and Dundee Utd and ICT join the Premier League? We would have a split of 6/ 8 after 39 games, which means the top 6 would still play 44 games. But the bottom 8 would play 46 games. The TV companies would still get their 4 Old Firm games plus their Edinburgh Derby as well. You'd also have a Highland Derby and I'm sure we could somehow jazz up The Sheep against Scumdee Utd!
But and it's a big but, it needs ALL 42 clubs to agree to any league reconstruction.
And there is plenty of clubs who might fancy revenge on Dundee FC for selling their soul.
Would Rangers or Celtic fancy be playing a 44-game season on top of their recent semi successful Europa League campaigns?
And throw in an already congested football calendar when any free space is taken up by international fixtures.
In my opinion there is too many variables in play for league construction. If Hibs wanted Hearts not to be relegated, they could have voted no to the SPFL proposal.
Teams like Airdrie and Montrose, 5 and 6 points behind Raith Rovers respectively, could have voted no instead of giving up from a football perspective. Should these clubs be benefitting from league construction when it's all about the money and not the football?
Teams like Kelty Hearts, who've put their heart and soul to climb the pyramid system being denied because of the self interest of clubs already in the league.
I hope when the dust settles, Rangers do the right thing and look after themselves. We owe the SFA, SPFL and Scottish Football in general NOTHING.

16 Apr 2020 12:38:34
if there is a 14 team league, they will split after playing each other twice into top 6 and bottom 8. Play each other twice again. 36 games for top 6.

16 Apr 2020 12:40:41
well if this is how it happens in our game, then alas after 60 years i'm out of it for good, a stinking cesspit of corruption is all that can be said for it.
Some teams will do anything to survive, including walking over the dying.
if Rangers don't show and share then they are as bad imo, but i sorely hope they nail some mackerel.

16 Apr 2020 12:54:29
The bottom teams in the premier League will never vote for that as they will lose out on a money spinning visit from either Rangers or Celtic fans.
That why I said a 44 game season. It's the only way to keep the other clubs happy. And why I asked would Rangers or Celtic vote for it given the additional European games we play?
The sooner everyone realises it's all about money to 75% of the clubs in the premier league then we'll all realise Rangers have to look after number 1.👍.

16 Apr 2020 14:28:58
Follow follow I agree with u.

16 Apr 2020 15:39:09
Splitting the league is and always has been ridiculous so is playing teams 4 times a season if there is to be league reconstruction then why not just have 20 teams in the top devision and play each other twice? Copy the English model it’s the most successful league in the world. It would make old firm games much more anticipated and there for bigger for the fans, the other 22 teams could make up the championship and do the 3 up 3 down relegation promotion scenario with play offs for the 3rd promotion place. Let’s face it everything “except the famous” about Scottish football sucks right now so why not turn it on it’s head 🤷🏽‍♂️.

Struth my friend, I'm with you on this one.
