Once again Steve Davis being talked about going to Rangers, just read it on Sky Sports, Scotsman, maybe it’s old news?

Some have expressed a view that his legs have gone and we don’t need him. I’m pretty sure that the following players’ legs had gone too - Souness, Francis, Wilkins, Thern, Gascoigne, N Cooper, D Bell. Even Davie Dodds and Andy Gray - although to be fair - Gray’s legs had definitely gone when he joined us. But it was a good laugh watching him. But not as funny as Kevin Kyle. Actually, that’s not correct, it wasn’t remotely amusing.

Andy Grey scored 5 goals in 14 games for Rangers what's funny about that bruised?

Jyf. I smiled when he scored, chuckled when he ran and wet myself when he turned slower than the Torrey Canyon. As did half the main stand as I recall.

If you say so bruised, not the way I remember it though 5 in 14 ain't bad in my eyes.
I find it strange that a Rangers fan would wet his pants laughing at a Rangers player that helped us win the league that year.
P. S. I hope your incontinence has cleared up!

Thanks for asking but nope - I still like to enjoy myself at Ibrox and reek o’ pish as a consequence all the way home every time.

I was sitting next to a sports rights lawyer at a dinner last night and inevitably the conversation drifted around to our current SD fight.

Whilst he was/ is not involved with Rangers, he said that the "matching clause" was very common in merchandising deals because the sums of money can be so huge.

In his opinion, my is a sore loser and is simply making life as difficult as possible for us by examining every single legal loophole without any real desire to win a merchandising deal.

He could match the JD sport deal and we would have to give him the contract, however, he is insisting on examining every single (tiny) part of the deal with a supposed view that he would cherry pick only the best bits - we would not have to agree to thins but my is insisting that we give him the detail in any case.

In other words, SD would not have signed the get out deal (£3m) last year without the "matching clause" that is common place.

Without knowing all the facts, the lawyer recons that we will win the case because the judge (at some point) will run out of patience with SD's spoiling actions that are designed only to be a pain in the butt but have the possibility of causing significant material damage to our club.

Time will tell.
