Agree0 Disagree0

Im a celtic fan im i aloud to join {Ed039's Note - No problem, we will be 3 divisions below you though lol)

Agree0 Disagree0

To the celtic fan yes you can join but you are not allowed to buy any players for 18 months, any money you win will be withheld and will go straight to Ed039 who will split it up with the rest of us LOL

lochaber Bear {Ed039's Note - but even though this is in writing I shall change the goalposts on a technicality)

Agree0 Disagree0

To the celtic fan...why do you want to join a dream team league with all gers fans ,are you that infatuated with all things Rangers , then why not become a fan. If not are the guys on your own site that anal and boring they dont have invites like this for fellow fans. Im sorry for this rant but i cant get over these TIM fans always coming in on the act on this site. R/R

Agree0 Disagree0

The bitterness in the last posters words where clear to see. Its a F**KING dream team competition mate get a grip. And there are some tim fans who contribute to this site in a positive way, not many but there are some. Get over yourself.

My cousin played football with Joseph Lapira at Notre Dame University in USA.

He said Joe phoned him to ask if he could find him a place to crash in Glasgow, as he will be going on trial with Rangers for the second time.

If you remember he had a trial with us previously and was previous winner of the best American University Soccer Player award.

Believable6 Unbelievable29

He had trials with both Aberdeen and Rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

My goodness, you would have thought Sevco would have found him a bed for the night rather than him have to plead on the internet for a place to "crash"!

Agree0 Disagree0

...Maybe if he comes to Glasgow he could sleep on a Pacific Shelf...ho ho ho..

Believable13 Unbelievable63

Hes a great player why would he join a 3rd div team? ed what source is he getting this from? {Ed039's Note - I think its someone having a laugh, Newcastle's squad isnt that talented that Ameobi will come to us, he will be there or thereabuts with them in their first team squad this season, if we get players from Newcastle expect them to be kids needing some first team experience)

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly can't see this happening!!
Dmrangers

rumour that several creditors going for court action to obtain monies as oldco debts have been paid by newco as football clubs are no different to othr creditors interesting times ahead

Believable32 Unbelievable30

HOW IS LIFE IN THE SCOTTISH DIV 3 MY BHYOUS??!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont clubs get preference over debts anyway or is that just england..... and the courts wont get involved in football matters unless its not stated in the rules so a dont think they will get very far

Agree0 Disagree0

And what possible blackmail would these creditors manage to come up with to get people who had Nowt to do with old debt pay, thought only the Sfa were the only ones to do that

Agree0 Disagree0

I imagine all the bumming and gloating you, your chairman, you're manager and every tabloid newspaper filled with bluenoses have been doing about billionaire investors, predicting being in a better financial position than celtic next year, season ticket sales, mile long queue's to get tickets, your own sell-out saturday...might just have pushed them over the edge, what do you think? how would you feel? I totally agree that selling over 33 thousand season tickets for division 3 is a fantastic achievement and show of loyalty from rangers fans but you have to look at it from these people's point of view.

Charles Green has absolutely no class, even if you out this subject aside. Sitting in directors boxes clapping at nasty song sbout Stewart Regan is the tip of the iceberg. And anyone who buys a ticket on the back of listening to his embarrassing comments to the press is an imbecile. Buy them for the right reasons and ignore this idiot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Creditors can be as upset as they like at Football Debts being paid. They have NO CLAIM against Newco!
Perhaps they should try getting some money from the SPL who have "stolen" over Ł2.5 Million form the Oldco. That is money that should be paying creditors.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is an impossibility... creditors have no legal holding to the Newco, away back to drinking your buckfast and sign on .

Greek defender Anestis Argyriou has joined Rangers for training, linking up with three other trialists at the club.

The former AEK Athens player, who left the club in the summer, went through his paces with Ally McCoist's side on Friday.

French defender Sebastien Faure and Australian striker Francesco Stella are also on trial with the Third Division club.

Francesco Celeste, an Argentinian midfielder who was once on the books at Boca Juniors, also trained..

Believable18 Unbelievable15

A message to Charles green. Close down Murray park and save a fortune. With all the money being pumped into it and the products being produced not being good enough for the 4th tier of Scottish fitba then it really is not fit for purpose. What are these young players who must be desperate to find their way in the professional game be think? Duds and has beens from all over the world being signed, shocking.

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray park is a training ground though not a youth academy

Agree0 Disagree0

Has no1 ever thot that the young players we hav r no good

Agree0 Disagree0

A training ground so why after all these years Broadfoot is still not trained to defend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray park was producing..... before all this people were talking about Ness being rangers main man for years to come and McCabe was putting in some cracking performances. Unfortunately they jumped ship along with a gd deal of other youth players and it does take more than a couple of months to produce new youth players! Hopefully the youngsters that have stayed like Perry, Mckay, Hutton, Little, Hemmings etc can take their chance. Got to understand ally strengthening though when we've got two years and just don't have the squad to cope with injuries.

Agree0 Disagree0

Never heard of a piece of grass producing good footballers. Talent and good coaching produce good players. It costs us Ł1.4 m a year to run MP. We need to open it up to public and get some of that Ł1.4m back.

Agree0 Disagree0

We shouldn't open it to the public, it should be rented out to football schools and similar things where it will be taken care of properly, and also it will promote sports to the youth.

I am going to have a go at the ticket office. I went on Tuesday and the queue was miles long, I went at 9.00 am on Wednesday and stood for five hours.

The queue was full of people wanting to get Falkirk tickets, people who had ordered on line and had to pick up tickets, people wanting season tickets. Why they could not have opened the smaller office for Falkirk and pick ups,
I do not know. Those picking a seat for a season ticket took much longer as they had to pick seats, pay, get tickets for Saturday.

On tuesday night they opened until 7.oo pm to clear the line. On Wednesday they did not open until 10.00 am when at least three hundred people waiting. I run a business and if there was 300 people waiting to pay me I would have it opened at 7.00 am.

I reached the front of the queue at about 12.30 when there were only seven of the ten windows opened, with numerous people putting stamps on envelopes. Deal with your customers first. Then two windows were closed as it was lunch time. I had been there since breakfast, I too wanted to eat.

I realise that they have had a close seasons work in two weeks but surely this system can be improved. I often wonder what this room full of workers actually do for the rest of the year as mostly season tickets so few actual tickets to sell, and now fewer away tickets.

Not a great experience, come on get it sorted.

Believable27 Unbelievable2

Cut them some slack ffs! as you say their doing 2 months work in two weeks. I bet you wouldnt think oh leave stamping the post till the end of the day was a good idea if you'd ordered online, because that means theyd have to wait! Theres been warnings of queues, if your not happy to queue, dont. thousands of others are and seem to not find a problem with it. you should be happy we are back, not complaining at staff over queues and their work rate. They work bloody hard!
WATP Stevemac

Agree1 Disagree1

I agree with op. working hard is not being questioned. Working smart is. Sadly symptomatic of the whole club at the moment

Agree1 Disagree0

Fair point OP about opening up the smaller office and opening up early, I work for a large engineering company (bosch) and by golly if there was an excess of work to do in a short time then overtime would be offered no problem...
1st reply not all people have all day to queue(kids, shift work etc) so even if it involves Rangers, people have a right to complain about an inefficient system. Comon would it have been that hard for them to open, as the OP says, at 7am

Agree0 Disagree0

If you are renewing - then you could have done this online or by phone 2 weeks ago - if so & you've waited like some did for valid resasons - then tough, suck it up.
If you are a new season ticket holder (& I presume thats why you waited so long) - the club has had to deal with nearly 15000 applications in less thana week - so as the post above says - not convenient by any means, but in the circumstances cut them a bit of slack FFS!

bil72

Agree0 Disagree0

Admittedly the situation is far from ideal mate, but give the staff a break.
No call centre in the world could have coped with the demand at such short notice. If they manage to get forty odd thousand sorted for Saturday despite all the problems we've had i'll be well impressed. The problem is the Season Ticket renewals and the banking facilities.Remember it's a new system entirely and they've only had two weeks. It will be sorted eventually.
Just glad to see the demand for tickets is causing us a problem, better that than the other way round. Well done Bears and Bear-esses.
P.O.B.

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldnt agree more with above reply, just shows how phenomonal our support is. WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Usually rangers hire a lot of students on their summer breaks looking for a little bit of work but due to everything that’s been going on money, time etc I don't think they managed to hire them. That’s why it’s been so busy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the online pick ups are from the portacabins at the back of the Copland Rd stand. Thats where the pick ups were for the East Fife game.

The Pilot!

Agree0 Disagree0

Stevemac is right, all this work has been left with the ordinary staff to sort out and if they had their choice it would probably be opened earlier with more staff.

Well seeing you run your own business, your the only one moaning because the workers are making you wait, you will be a good manager, give everyone else a hard time with accounting for the ground truth.

If your not happy dont queu, givin the poor workers a hard time.

Agree1 Disagree0

Good response, the staff are only due to work from 10-5 monday to friday but instead have been giving up there evenings and working on to 9pm to help the "fans" get there tickets. The only people to blame for this is again the SPL, there consistent effing us about has only allowed us such a short time to get tickets sold. To be honest, i think they deserve a big congratulations to get 40 odd thousand tickets sorted in a 2 week period.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you ran a business, yes. If you worked in a ticket office and spent all morning serving customers without time for a break, would you say to yourself - it's ok I'll skip lunch so these poor people get served a bit quicker? Not having a go here but at the end of the day, they're paid to sell the tickets and have an hour for lunch when they are not paid. Management should of predicted this and put on extra staff perhaps we can't blame the staff who were there

Grant

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Steve. I dont think The Rangers antisipated such a huge demand and are struggling to cope! I wouldnt be on here moaning, id be happy that the fans are out in numbers. All pushing together to get the Gers back up there. "there was staff putting stamps on envelovpes"IMAGINE! A lot of fans worried that their not going to receive their tickets in time. So ticket staff are on it and still get moaned at! Cummon mate lighten up. Rangers Till WE Die!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Op here, I am not being over critical, I know it's a lot to do, just making the point that it could have been done better.
I tried to do online but it was not working as recognised on system but not registered.
I have been a season ticket holder and wanted to change seats which they couldn't do so had to let lapse and then buy as new client.
It is frustrating when there are three hundred people waiting and they don't open earlier than normal, also frustrating that when I finally got in cabin at about 12.00 that two took lunch with nobody to take their place. I understand that they are busy but with all due respect I run a business and missed five hours. Think with a bit of planning this wait could be reduced for all.

A bug bear of mine is that last year I and my son applied for away games and for the tickets that we got they arrived in two envelopes. I know this is small fry but why do they not put in one envelope with one stamp, save themselves Ł1. Small fry but this happened to me eight times last year and presume this same way applies to all the tickets they send out. It seems to me that this is an example of bad business practices, take care of the pence the pounds take care of themselves.
If my business was sending two letters to the same address on the same day in two envelopes I would do my nut, it's just good business sense.

Anyway I have to say I am really looking forward to tomorrow, got a buzz about it, something different. Hope we give it laldy

Agree0 Disagree0

Sent off for the tickets for some of the boys from Oz. received an apology all tickets sold out. Good to hear any other way we can contribute to the amazing rangers resurgence?

Ozzie Al

Agree0 Disagree0

The above post! Or p*sh,

So it's not acceptable for you to que until 7 o'clock at night because you have kids, work or other commitments,

So the staff working in the ticket office only work for rangers, have no kids and no other commitments?

What a ridiculous post, I work for the ticket office, have 2 kids and also have a part time job at night to provide for my family, overtime was asked, but the fact that nearly every school in the Glasgow region started back school this week, so how on earth am I ment to start work early ,

The fact of the matter is, if you don't want to que, don't que! If you arent in the line then I am 100% sure that someone else will happily purchase your season ticket,

The world doesn't jus revolve around you!!

James

Agree0 Disagree0

It is shoddy. I sent my renewal form in on time. Im trying to contact the ticket office to establish if my smart card has been validated. I have not had any notification that my season ticket has been replaced. Cant see an email address to send an enquiry, cant get through on the phone either. Not a great way to treat a long term ticket holder!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Charles Green was last seen rubbing his hands like Fagan singing " you gotta pick a pocket or two ".

Only kidding good luck.

Agree0 Disagree0

Op here, to the guy that works in the ticket office, you are missing the point. I am saying it could have been organised better, not blaming you, blaming whoever is in charge. Why was the smaller cabin not open for say Falkirk tickets, they had a separate one for East Fife. This would have reduced the queue significantly, which would have saved you all work.
I know you have had a difficult job in the circumstances but it could have been done better. That's all.
And please don't tell me about school kids because I missed mine going first day of secondary because I was standing in a queue. Most people start work at 8 or 9 and you can't make it earlier than 10.
I missed my son going to school, I missed five hours work that I don't get paid for so my heart bleeds, the fact hat you have all sat doing bugger all for the previous six weeks is forgotten. Not your fault but true.

Agree0 Disagree0

"And please don't tell me about school kids because I missed mine going first day of secondary because I was standing in a queue"

Can anyone tell me what is going on with the Rangers ticket office? Tried over 50 times and cannot get through.

Also, tried to login to website but couldn't remember my password. No email arrived with a reminder. Tried to re-register and was told that my details were already held on file.

Then when I try to key in my email address I get another message saying that my email details are not recognised.....

Granted, I'm stupid for forgetting my password but it's still shoddy.

Charles green has shut it down to create demand and queues at the ticket office.
A good marketing ploy

Agree0 Disagree6

Had exactly the same problem, it's a nightmare. I ended up having to spend five hours in a queue.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its so obvious whats going on,but nobody in the press has got it ,if your dead club, could handle 40000 +season tickets+euro tickets, why cant they handle it know,simples,1 woman and a dug are answering the phones, instead of the 15 or 20.....you know it makes sense,,,,tim....

Agree0 Disagree6

The website and mobile apps etc are going through a bit of 'change' as the transformation from old to new goes ahead with new providers etc - so YES there are teething problems - but like the ticket queues - give them a chance

If its SO OBVIOUS...why havent YOU gave an explanation of whats happening Einstein?

They have had two weeks to do what is normally done in a whole close season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr Green has not closed it down. I managed to get online in the early hours of Wednesday morning and bought tickets for the game on Saturday. Tickets arrived yesterday. Very good service if you ask me, especially given the huge demand. Look forward to being part of a world record tomorrow now!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Iv not been able together through to the ticket office on the phone all week but I got tickets no problem on the website

Agree0 Disagree0

So Tim your telling us a DUG is answering the phones as it makes sense to you.Honestly I reckon you should seek help m8.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish people would cut Green some slack. What happens when you try to purchase ANY form of ticket beit over the phone or online. The system crashes. Deal with it. We'll get our tickets eventually! Green said: “There have been massive queues at Ibrox all week and in recognition of our fans’ loyalty I have taken the decision to freeze prices for our League Cup tie against Falkirk." Well done that man.

Agree0 Disagree0

I need to be honest here and say that we emailed in about our seats at a guy called Edmund got back to us and said he had some seats.

He then called last night and by this morning we were all sorted out.

I think they are just overwhelmed given there is two weeks to do it. If no one was buying tickets there might not been a team to support by the end of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Take it all back. Wonderful service.
Couldn't get through on the phone to see if my season ticket renewal had actually taken place. I emailed them, got a response within 2 mins And a call seconds later with an apology and confirmation my smart cards have been validated. Well done guys....Great response.
