just watching lying sods news and the transfers are saying that along with big davie weir jelavich is offski can any bears out there shed some light on this. if true it,s no surprise but have,nt heard anything about it

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Stop talking pisski. I think we al know Jelavic has his price do why don't you stop talking pisski lmao.
FF81

Agree4 Disagree4

As far as a now at mo its only interest from wba and qpr tht mite have changed due to mark hughes

Agree4 Disagree3

Jelavic will still be a rangers player at the end of january....no bids in for him.

Agree6 Disagree4

His form in the past 2 months seriously damaged any interest clubs would have had in him

Agree5 Disagree5

I believe all transfer activity at Rangers - players out will ignite on or around the 30th of Jan, this will allow CW to retain any monies brought in, the money will not be as high as some of the valuations mentioned on here, buying clubs know the state of affairs at Rangers therefore will bid what will be deemed below valuations of the likes of Jelavic Davis n Shagger! CW desperate for a decent bid for any 1 of these 3.

Agree2 Disagree2

Dont think big jel will be going in this window unless the bid is 7 to 9 m knowing us we will let him go in the summer for 4 mill, we need to keep him till summer if it wasnt for him on sunday we would be 5 points behind, with fleck going aswell hope this means an attackin mid or forward can come in to help the big man

Agree4 Disagree1

I don't think Jelavic will go, but the real worry is if a club makes a public offer that is of a decent amount. If he knows for a fact that a premier league club is after him he will want to go. Lets not forget how he ended up at Ibrox, downed tools for Rapid as soon as he knew our bid was serious and they had little choice but to sell him.

Agree3 Disagree1

I dont think jelavic has been in great form recently either but you have to look at the reasons for this, naisy gettin injured, then laff gettin injured and i dont care how good you are but it must be difficult to strike a partnership with a guy who is clearly not going to give you much bar the odd goal here and there with Healy. Jelavic is having to try and do it himself upfront and he may not be playing well but he is still scoring goals and is the leagues top scorer. So if thats what your getting from a guy who is playing poorly then we dont want to take anything less than at least 7 mill for him, that may be ambitious given our current financial state but it does not make sense to sell him without a profit and am sure you will all agree but then none of us are C.W.

What about taking chance on Tamas Priskin? He is got a good goal scoring record and is quite pacey plus he is a free.

Rory

Believable8 Unbelievable7

No he doesn't lol, ok record for Hungary but to fair mate.

Should give Enar Jaager a contract and when Whittaker comes back play him at right mid, he's great at going forward and is very silky but clumsy defensively. A solid RB with him on the right wing sounds very appealing imo.

Believable20 Unbelievable8

Why don't u stick bartley and broadfoot in the middle of the park aswell.

Midfield 4 of defenders.

Honestly do people like watching football on here?

Agree5 Disagree12

Yup i agree lets stop playing aluko right mid to get wondergoal whittaker in there fs, hes awful when will people realise that? hes done NOTHING going forward this season and hes the worst RB at the club, leave him on the bench till the summer and get shot of him hes never worth 23k a week in a million years

Agree10 Disagree3

Yous lot wernt sayin that last year? Behave and support the team eh!

Agree8 Disagree3

Whittaker has had his poorest season in a Rangers shirt to date. Evidently, he is not suited to playing at right back. He is too attack minded and simply cannot defend. So it makes sense to sign a real right back who can defend. As if this wouldn't be enough benefit to us, we would have another option on the wing in Whittaker, and in our current situation we can't afford to sign a decent winger so we must rely for the most part on what we have. Whittaker offers more going forward so it would make sense to at least have him competing for the position. I'd rather him than Ortiz. PS I am not suggesting we drop Aluko.

Agree8 Disagree2

Whittaker to right mid? I hope ally doesn't visit this site.
Johnger

Agree2 Disagree4

Drop whittaker and papac, wallace LB, wylde LM, jaager RB aluko RM

Agree3 Disagree4

We need creative midfielders, so why not bring in a midfielder. (the young guy from st johnstone would be better than nothing) stop all this talk about playing defenders in midfield, it does not work!!

JG

Agree1 Disagree0

Drop papac? is there something wrong with you like, now i can take people having a go at McCulloch or Ortiz maybe even Bedoya but only a fool would drop sasa the guy has been nothing short of a class act for most of his time here and due to the fact he is one of our most consistent players i think it would be a slap in the face for a guy who has given everything for us an unsung hero on many an occasion. And wylde can have a place when he proves his worth, i like him think he COULD be a really good player but he simply cannot cross a ball and he is a winger, infact papac can probably cross a ball better.

Agree5 Disagree0

Drop Papac and bring in Wylde??

Do you even have a clue about football? Thank god you ain't the manager!!

anyone know when jamie ness is back? top class player if he can keep fit would be a major asset

also im very confident jelavic will still be a rangers player come february

Guerra is apperently going to swansea aswell, but it says rangers are still interested in the player and the lure of potential champions league football next season (even though we will have 3 qualifiers so doubtful)

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Aye play skyline at right midfield when he's left sided your even brighter

Agree0 Disagree6

The management & coaching staff at Murray park are extremely concerned about the prospect of Jamie Ness never playing football again at a high level,I agree with you that he's a fantastic young player, but his injuries might never be clear, apparently the medical team are exhausting ever avenue hoping for a remedy.let's hope they succeed.

Agree13 Disagree1

I raised this the other day guys and it concerns me that the lad has only played 13 games in well over a year. Personally i would get rid of the injury prone players but this las deserves a proper chance.

Barry Barry

Agree9 Disagree1

Noone seems to know but was he not supposed to see a specialist about getting insoles or something because the reason for his injuries is that he has one leg slightly longer than the other? And it keeps causing groin injuries etc

Agree6 Disagree2

Garrincha was a cripple and won a world cup! leg lenth difference, dont make me laugh. Get shot of this usless slacker.

Agree3 Disagree6

Celtic fan here but i hope the boy ness gets fixed would be a shame to see a kids career end like that.

Agree15 Disagree2

'leg lenth difference, dont make me laugh. Get shot of this usless slacker.'

Well that's the issue. So, laugh all you want.

Agree2 Disagree2

Guys,

One of the greatest ever Gers Brian Laudrup had one leg shorter than the other and he did okay. However I know from experience that it is a nightmare to keep a decent pair of jeans in good nick when you suffer from this...

Barry Barry

Agree3 Disagree1

Ness has the same problem that Steven Gerrard had in his youth days at Liverpool. The problem is to do with his growth spurts. Basically his bones are growing at a faster rate then his muscle development which is causing his problems. He will overcome the problem though.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yeah it is ashame as we could really do with him obviously. And it is something which could sort itself out but i would keep him in any case as knowing our luck we would sell him on and he would become a big hit at whichever club he goes to, i would love him to get past this as the handfull of games he has played showed just how classy he is.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jan 2012 20:12:07
if we sign jaager for right back, then when whittaker comes back are we gonna play him at right mid like we have with wallace on the left?

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Aye your good put an unknown at right back move Whittker to right mid and drop aluko, great choice not.

Agree2 Disagree6

Hopefully whittiker doesnt ply again for us and is sold to some league 2 team more his level

Agree11 Disagree10

Haha well he jaager is a right back, so where do you want him to play? in net? your clever aint you? not!

Agree6 Disagree4

Whittaker just isnt a right back anyway, he is a liability, hopefully Jaager gets the job and Whittaker can do one along with Broadfoot.

Agree5 Disagree5

At least I don't want to play another defender in midfield people like you would get football stopped

Agree1 Disagree5

How would he get football stoped. see the kid on Rangers fans that come on here and start saying daft stuff arguing back with a guy who has just made a decent comment.

Agree5 Disagree1

He was just asking a question! and dont you forget whittaker on the way to manchester. yes he isn't a great right back but he is a decent utility

Agree3 Disagree1

So you want to replace aluko way Whittker, away you go, football is meant to be an entertainment, u want 4 full backs in your team? P, S, stopped has 2 Ps in it not 1

Agree0 Disagree5

Ps "u" is actually spelled "you"

Agree7 Disagree1

Sell Whittaker.

heard today Ortiz is going back to almeria and rangers want arran niguez from them coming the other way, dont know much about him just know he was ok at valencia and im sure he used to play for us , ortiz is like a god at almeria so they wud take him back instantly apperently

Believable5 Unbelievable12

Niguez was on loan in 2008,loan spell was for two seasons but returned after first season
dont know why he looked quite promising in the few games he did play would certainly do a swap with Ortiz.

Agree10 Disagree6

Reckon he went home because he wasnt getting a game

Agree5 Disagree1

The guy was a bit like wylde all the pace in the world but end product again wasnt good enough, however he didnt get much playing time even when he was here and he was pretty young as well, i felt he should have played more when he was here and i think him and wylde are too similar, not saying he wouldnt be worth looking at though.

david weir played his final game for rangers today at murray park against a st johnstone side.what an amazing ambassador for the game and rangers.wishing him all the best for the future

Believable23 Unbelievable13

Model professional wish he wasnt going but he wants to keep playing so fair play to him, no chance of getting in the team just now....if only scotland had more center halfs like this!!

Agree11 Disagree6

Was 3-0 but anyone know who scored?

Agree3 Disagree6

I totally agree and it would have been great if Rangers had offered him a coaching role.
Davie should have been allowed to say his goodbyes to the fans at Ibrox v Aberdeen on Saturday.
All the Best and Thanks A RANGERS LEGEND.

Agree19 Disagree12

How can any idiots disagree with the post??

Agree13 Disagree13

Thats why their idiots mate ....trueblue....

Agree10 Disagree13

Great player for us and massive respect and a big thanks to him, although should probs have gone at the end of last season on a high and it would also have given us a wage for another player, watp big Davie W.

Agree9 Disagree2

The scores were Bedoya, Ortiz (penalty), Little (penalty)

Agree4 Disagree4

Those that disagree with my post are obviously wearing green tinted glasses.david weir has been an incredible captain for us and at all times has remained dignified whether in defeat or being crowned champions.a true blue

Agree12 Disagree8

Won 3-0. Bedoya, Ortiz and Little.
The 2 trialists showed up good. Claros very tidy. Jaager was bombing forward for fun! It looks like the two will get contracts. It's just what I've heard.

Says in times that looking at Martinez from Argentina. His nickname is the little donkey, that may cause confusion as we have plenty of little donkeys

Believable13 Unbelievable4

This guy was compared to Maradonna when he was playin for the Argentina U21 squad... and a steal @ 500k... although he is meant to have a volatile temper but hey, we tamed El Hadji Diouf didnt we?

Agree5 Disagree10

Steve paterson was called pele in his school days, do u really think he would be linked way us for 500,000 if he was as good as maradona? Catch a grip

Agree5 Disagree2

Walter tamed dioufy no ally

Agree4 Disagree4

When they made the comparison to maradonna did they come to the conclusion that maradonna was a much better player?

Agree5 Disagree1

He is out of contract in the summer and has turned down a new deal... believe what u want but the wee guy looks amazing! and has a good strike rate to show for it! And do we forget Ally was Walters assistant? If you think he had no influence on the players while smith was in charge you know very little about the roles of an assistant!

Agree3 Disagree2

And who said he was as good as maradonna? He was compared to him while playing in the under 21's... Read the post!

Agree1 Disagree1

Steve paterson was called pele in his school days, do u really think he would be linked way us for 500,000 if he was as good as maradona? Catch a grip

------------------------------

God sake mate, fans like you are the problem with rangers stop living in the past and realise we need to pick off players that may or may not be worth it, someone was merely making a point that he was compared to a great player and would be a good buy, away and support man city or somethin, he may turn out to be amazin for all you know, or are you a chief scout for argentinian players??

Agree13 Disagree3

Well said pal

Agree7 Disagree1

I read your post it said he was compared to maradonna! Yes? Good...now read my smart ass comment which was designed to make you look daft!

Agree1 Disagree5

Some right bitter fans like a good snap(for no necessary reason) at their fellow bears fans for no reason, fair enough if it's for a genuine reason but it's not. It's because u have a different opinion and think that gives u the right to talk to ppl like their stupid as if your above the rest of us and your opinion is more important.. Pffff sound like p****s that are up ther self don't need your snooty attitudes. Support the team and the fans lads

Dtp89

Agree2 Disagree1

Calm down betty lol

Agree1 Disagree1

The boy martinez probably gets called littledonkey because of his pony tail, but hes a strong player who scores a lot of goals for the top argentine team, velez sarsfield, watched him a lot in the copa libetadores, and sudamericana, they one one of them, think it was the libertadores so hes no some nobody,he's highly rated in south america, reminds me a bit like big dado prso,no just because of the pony tail.just a similar kind of player, well worth 5oo grand.

Agree0 Disagree0

People need to get a grip and stop using this site as a place to put people down. We come on here for a glimmer of some hope in a bleak time for our club, only to have total fa****s talking trash about other flans and trying to preen their feathers on here.

If somebody wants to say this boy was once compared to Madonna then so be it, he possibly was, but then who are to rubbish it you clown?!?! You're not a scout and he is just trying to give an impression of hope on the horizon.

You're not a true fan if your only job as a bluenose is to lambaste and ridicule fellow bears. Stay in your little cupboard playing champ manager because we certainly don't need fans like you at our glorious club. You've not got the brains you were born with!

Might be old news -

News:

David Weir will be leaving Rangers this week to continue his playing career in England.
---------
Bit of a surprise thought he was coaching potential and would of liked the idea of him being in the squad for his experience and motivation. Maybe he didn't fancy it.

Believable10 Unbelievable4

You mean Rangers would`nt pay his wages!

Agree7 Disagree9

Not really that much of a surprise, he isn't getting a game, it's one area we have plenty of cover, and he'll be on a decent wage which (hopefully) can be put towards new players.

Agree8 Disagree5

His family all stayed in england

however 6 months wages for one game since july last year
sorry im losing belief in Ally as a manager

Agree13 Disagree8

Rumour is swindon

Agree3 Disagree4

If thats another player going out the door heres hoping youth players will fill in, can anyone tell me why celtic bring threw more youth players than us?, to improve scotland as a whole we must bring our own boys into our team, must be 2 guys out of the whole of murry park that can do what edu and davies can do???

Agree5 Disagree4

What yputh players do celtic bring through, the only one i an think of is james forrest all the rest have been bought in,

rangers bring through a lot more youth, gregg wylde, james ness, kane hemming, darren cole and jordan mcmillen as just a few i can think of off the top of my head.

Agree6 Disagree4

Yea n there all in the firat team eh?

Agree3 Disagree6

4 of them are in the 1st team smart ass and another 1 who is injured... Ross Perry.

Agree2 Disagree4

Allan mcgregor came through as did greg wylde and jamie Ness,

Agree2 Disagree2

I would call the first team playing week in week out not warming a bench or when theres a chance of them to come in a foreign player gets put in instead of them. mcgregor is the only 1 and am glad he is there all am saying least celtic trust there youth players we dont! they warm benches i am a gers fan and all am saying is why are we not getting rid of the c88p and get the likes of perry mcmillian that in the team, would save money bring on scotland ect as i said above we must have 2 guys that can do a job that davies and edu do ???

Agree1 Disagree1

Ok then so how many celtic youngsters have been brought through and play week in week out?

Agree1 Disagree1

Well in past we saw odea mcgeady ect anyway this isnt about celtic point more is to do with gers not trusting there young players if they play for gers top team in scotland then should be getting there game cause if there not and teams like dundee utd motherwell ect can and you see them do well am sure our guys are better than there youngsters or rangers would or should have them already??

Agree1 Disagree1

Youth team players? Charlie Adam? Chris Burke? Mccormack.mcgregor, thomson, i could keep going cause Murray park has had some decent success.some...i do agree and think that youth should take precedence in our current situation. But put ur self in Ali's shoes for just a minute. He HAS to win week in,week out.

Heard from a friend that season ticket prices are set to be increased by between 5 and 10% for season 2012-13.

Believable12 Unbelievable8

Doesnt bother me a extra 20-40 pounds is nothing to watch my team every week

Agree19 Disagree16

We need all the money we can get, so why not, the gers for 4 in a row, watp

Agree16 Disagree10

I know most of us would pay extra but if we are going to pay extra we should be treated to better quality every week. Like i said don't mind doing it because it will help the team out but we need a lot better!

Agree8 Disagree6

CW might do a runner with the season book money before administration in May / June !

Agree11 Disagree5

I agree, the extra would not bother me, but the fact that we dont see any re-investment in the team, then were made a laughing stock in the player market ah mean is it really to much to be asking for 2-3 million a year for new players i dont think so.
so no investment means no price increase for me, hey we were even giving tickets away for this weeks game agains the sh**p sha**ers if you bought the home top @half price:) not a bad deal.
Naa they cant put the price up till the product gets better although we love the gers we past our tolorance limit ages ago.
so nae doe 4 in a row then 5,6,7 and so on cause it aint gonna get better under mr whyte whoever he is....... fkm

Agree7 Disagree2

Just a wee note on this, anyone who attends the games will know that a few bob has been spent on the infa structure at ibrox maybe there is something mr whyte needs to tell us.
am not making this up it is a FACT:)
your thoughts plz fellow bears.

Agree3 Disagree2

To the above post re spending on the infrastructure... If I remember correctly that was part of the deal when CW took over...he was also going to invest £20M on the playing squad.

Agree1 Disagree1

Sums up what a state our game is in. the product gets worse and us supporters are charged more and more to watch this garbage

Was in Portugal last week where a scottish guy Alan owns a bar out there who is very friendly with Gavin Rae said to me to forget Boyd coming back to Rangers as he will never play with the club again as he and Ally don't get on after Boyd flooring Mccoist at a Rangers function a few years ago while he was out his face. Fact source Gavin. ps remember the time when he went about ten games without playing for the bears and he was fit and the fans were going bush it was then.

Believable16 Unbelievable10

You are right pal, boydie and coisty do not get on. his sister said he would never play for rangers under mcoist.

Agree11 Disagree10

Absolute b0llocks - if a player "floored" a member of the management team he certainly wouldn't only miss 10 games - he would be out the door before Ally hit the deck. And Gavin Rae? He left when Ally & Walter arrived

Agree8 Disagree7

Och papers would have had that big time and never heard a peep boyd had his time ally even said to him to stay and he would have been up there with ally and that but he went down south for money his choice. like alot of rangers i think we will be lucky if we see any players and if we do get any1 it will be in defence, only thing that gives me some hope of a mid or upfront is that they are not letting fleck go on loan so must be cover coming in??? what use think agree diagree

Agree9 Disagree6

Meant they are letting fleck go

Agree5 Disagree5

Ano for a fact boyd and ally didnt get on ally is the main reason boyd left and thats 100percent fact

Agree9 Disagree2

I always thought it was Boyd and Walter who didnt get on whilst Coisty liked him a lot better than the Gaffer did. Anyways, if Boyd "floored" Ally at a Rangers function there would have been too many people there and the press would have found out.

Agree3 Disagree4

I Agree , always thought walter never really liked Boyd as a player and it was more ally who liked him. Surely the press would have got hld of this if it was true. Don't believe this rubbish.

BOLTON confident of getting goian for 1 million to replace cahill

Believable15 Unbelievable24

Tough. I am confident Rangers will get Pepe from Real Madrid to replace Goin. for £2m. Doesnt mean it will happen.

Agree18 Disagree10

Bolton are in the process of sighning the american boy Tim Rheam(think that's the right spelling) to replace cahill

Agree9 Disagree6

Another case of absolute b0llocks - Rangers are going to sell their (and the SPL's) best defender for £1M? Rangers may be in financial trouble after the court hearing - but not beforehand, and certainly not enough trouble to sell at that price! Just remember one thing - Rangers are being charged for the tax case - they may get a fine of £49M, they may get less, they may get nothing, so why on earth they would have a fire sale on their best players for buttons i don't know!
Glw Bear

Agree9 Disagree9

Wrong spelling, it's Ream

Agree1 Disagree6

So Rangers pay about £800k for Goian who does so well that he earns a move to the Prem within 6 months and Rangers only get £1m for him? Sorry, but that leads me to believe this rumour is nonsense.

Agree3 Disagree4

Glw Bear...Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you are financial trouble now irrespective of the court case. You have no line of credit with the bank which means you have to set up frendlies with Liverpool and Hamburg to generate income and another source of income is selling players. You have been told already that there is more money going out of ibrox than is coming in...CW has admitted already that the wage bill has to come down. Rangers, currently are technically insolvent but then so are a number of SPL clubs. This transfer window thus far has been a total farce for Rangers with god knows how many players on trial, we're looking at this one, at that one blah blah blah but nothing has happened and the Sandaza pre-contract nonsense is embarrassing for your club..It is nothing more than the PR Machine at Ibrox trying to placate the fans so you aren't protesting outside Ibrox demanding to know whats going on...If Rangers bring in any new faces in January without selling first it will be a very confusing miracle!

Agree10 Disagree11

Your magical powers of turning into a fly and being in the room with all the rangers money men and llyods bankers should make you a billionaire

Agree1 Disagree2

Cant get moving in the east end for all these players ceptic have signed? loads of of them..not

Agree1 Disagree1

The rangers money men? Where are they? There certainly not in the board room according to footballs richlist! You keep reading comics and pretend that everything is ok!

Agree0 Disagree0

Football clubs in general do not make a profit-look at Man utd, they're 100's of millions in debt. It's about time Celtic fans coming on here to stir the pot realized that if our finances are as bad as they hope, not only does that mean the likelihood of celtics being pretty poor is right up there, and they seem to have forgotten that they desperately need Rangers to exist so that they can remain solvent. If one goes, the other follows.

Agree2 Disagree1

I am sure the editors on here will vouch for me as I always post my email address when I post. Goian has been an interest for some time from teams in the lower reaches of the EPL. I have posted this months ago. I did not name the team interested a while back due to issues which would have compromised me. I can now say that the team was Wigan. Wigan are also monitoring the trial of Jaager. Goian has been offered a better contract by Rangers, and will not be moving for less than £2m.

Agree0 Disagree0

"issues which would have compromised me"....alright Andy McNab when's your next book out?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds likely to me. Martinez always targets the spl for bargains. Mcarthur and MacArthy(xcuse spelling) salmon, Caldwell.sounds interesting.

I think the months whyte spent before hand going through ever bit of detail in the clubs finances he would have known whether or not he could handle the situation. He knows what hes doing ok he maybe wont spend a fortune but thats what got us in this mess in the 1st place 1 thing is for sure he will operate rangers in a profitable manner. Every1 says he is a penny pinchersso if that is the case then there is more money for him if he wins prizes win win situation for him and fans. Yes there are tough times but we will come out of them stronger.

I'd bring in Boyd and Riordan on free transfers.

Riordan, who spent two seasons at Celtic between his two periods at Easter Road, has scored 95 Scottish Premier League goals - making him the third highest goalscorer in the history of the competition, behind prolific Old Firm duo Kris Boyd and Henrik Larsson.

Goals is what wins you games and i reckon they'd form a good partnership if we sold Jela.

I thought the same thing when he mentioned best honduran footballer one of these people who have a mind for the game haha. Also David Sauzo just to dampen ur flames a little more.

Agree3 Disagree1

Wouldn't go down well haha. Jorge Claros: Rangers are the biggest club in Scotland.

Agree3 Disagree3

This is just my opinion, But, I want to see players in a Rangers Jersey who have ambition and want to play for the club. This Guy Claros ( the pitbull ) has alread given the right signs by turning up to train after being on 3 flights to get here without sleep. Every true Blue I know would do the same to have the chance of playing for the greatest team in World football, but we can all name a few that have played for our great club but have never shown the same commitment. I hope this guys skills impresses the Rangers staff as it is people with that sort of work ethic that I for one want to see wearing the Blue of Rangers. Good Luck Wee Man and I hope that your time with the Worlds most successful Club is a Happy one. WATP.

Celtic signed Scott Brown on an extended contract and he is not even in the same class as Claros. I hope we sign him.

Agree1 Disagree0

Claros is a celtic reject

Still a young boy and looks a good prospect, certainly looks much better than the likes of Wylde, hope he signs.

Agree3 Disagree1

Looks like he can play on the left or right.....couple that with Aluko & the 2 of them constantly switching....could cause teams problems.

Agree3 Disagree1

Just watched the clip this is wat we need sum amginastion n drive t he easily be better than Davis can run and finish worth crack aht spl defences in ally we trust but whyte must go I heard he was only here t January tax case can b solved sn new faces in summer in ally we trust

Agree0 Disagree1

To Faulds RFC,

I think you have been watchin different movies. At first I thought he flattered to deceive with all the fancy footwork and no end result. However I then saw his goals, and it's clear the boy has got some real raw potential. I would be amazed if we get this lad. I hope we do, he could be a nightmare to handle.
