Rangers and Bursaspor are in talks over the transfer of Kenny Miller to the Turkish club. Miller has chosen a move abroad over a switch to Birmingham City and will pen to paper on a two and a half year deal with the "Green Crocodiles".

STV understands that discussions are underway over an immediate transfer and the two clubs are close to agreeing a fee. No settlement has reached yet but the figure will be significantly less than what was accepted from Birmingham City last week.

City had been favourites to land the striker, who is out of contract at the end of the season. The English club, managed by former Rangers boss Alex McLeish, had reportedly tabled a bid that would have risen to approximately £1.1 million.

Rangers had accepted a bid from Birmingham and Miller’s representatives held talks with the club but Birmingham announced on their website on Tuesday that the player had accepted an “irresistible” offer from Bursaspor.

With the Scotland international out of contract at Ibrox at the end of the season, Rangers have decided to sell Miller now in order to receive a transfer fee.

The forward had been expected to play for Rangers against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Tuesday night but was not named in the match squad and left Ibrox 90 minutes before kick-off. Miller will now fly to turkey on Wednesday to finalise his move with a fee likely to be settled quickly between Rangers and Bursaspor.

It is not known if Rangers boss Walter Smith will be given any of the transfer fee to reinvest in his playing squad as he looks to replace his top scorer, who has racked up 22 goals for the Ibrox club this season

I know this as FACT Whyte will walk away from takeover as HMRC will fine Rangers in the region of 22 million pounds for tax evasion This could put Rangers into Administration and the SPL will then have no choice but to deduct points between 10 and 18 NOW BEFORE EVERYONE HAS A GO LET ME EXPLAIN I WORK AT CENTRE 1 ALTHOUGH I'M NOT WORKING ON THE RANGERS CASE MY FRIEND IS AND HE TOLD ME TODAY THAT THEY ARE JUST DOTTING THE i's AND CROSSING THE T'S HE IS ONE OF THE OTHER LOT AND FINDS THIS VERY AMUSING

what a load of b*lls* t if rangers were evading tax it would be all over the news. And do you really think they will be put into admistration even if this garbage was true? of course not do you know how the old firm mean financially to scotland? do not talk crap. and if your friend is part of the ''other lot'' in which you mean celtic fans, then you much be more stupid than you think if you were to believe him. Believe me you will see aberdeen winning the champions league before you see rangers being put into administration.

p.s = whyte will not walk away from deal as just last week he said he hopes to conclude the deal and take charge of rangers from end of january to the end of february, another reason why your story is rubbish because they have been negotiating since november and if you info was true would have came up in the early discussion and whyte would have walked away then.

If it's true wot you say mate, about rangers going into the red through HMRC, no chance this will happen as rangers took tax advice from a massive accountant and tax company who are fully insured if these sort of things happen. Rangers would then be able to sue this company who provided inaccurate advice. . .FACT. HMRC wouls also give rangers time to pay the debt as they are a massive employer in Glasgow (not just employees directly, but taxi drivers, bus drivers pubs, websites, responce call centre) all of these people would be directly effected by this. Get you're facts right a scud book.

AYRSHIREBLUEAYEREADYYou are telling me Centre 1 are handling Rangers case. In East Kilbride. Have you ever heard of something called a conflict of interest and do you think the case would be handled by anyone in Scotland. (for obvious reason). Your fone monkey pal is handling a 22 million case. Come on pal you got to do better than that

This might have been more believable had you not mentioned administration - no chance this will happen as Rangers have too many assets not even including the playing staff.

Also it is unlikely that Centre 1 would even be dealing with this as i have told that it is being dealt with in Glasgow so grow up and enjoy being top of the league while it lasts.

If the Whyte takeover is dependant on development land surrounding Ibrox, this is worrying. Surely the most appropriate party would be one that was predominantely interested in football.

I am a commercial property developer and land values have dropped dramatically since 2007, when they were at their peak. Also, the appetite for development investment in areas such as Ibrox is non existent in the current market. If Whyte was motivated by development profit, he would invest in London, where the market remains strong, and a market he knows very well.

I think Whyte is more interested in Rangers for footballing reasons, rather than property reasons, and he should be given more credit for this.

I completely agree with you that Whyte is interested in buying Rangers for footballing reasons. I think Ellis is involved for property development though. If we look back a few years ago there was the talk of rebuilding Ibrox and the surrounding Govan area. The EU and Scottish Government would both provide grants for this as it is deemed rejuvenation of an area, could this be Ellis' plan? Maybe not a new stadium but I think he will be building around the area. A few of the high rise flats opposite the stadium have now gone so perhaps this is just clearing space for development. This obviously isn't a fact just what I think may happen. Ellis is a property developer seems logical.

THERE IS CERTAINLY GOOD REASON IN WHAT YOU SAY.

THE DIFFICULTY THOUGH IS FINDING A BUYER FOR ANY DEVELOPED BUILDINGS IN THIS MARKET. FOR EXAMPLE, IF ELLIS OR WHOEVER BUILT A HOTEL IN THE IBROX AREA, THERE IS VIRTUALLY NO CHANCE IN THE CURRENT MARKET OF THEM BEING ABLE TO SELL THIS DIRECTLY TO A HOTEL OPERATOR. HOTEL OPERATORS ARE JUST NOT BUYING. THE OTHER OPTION WOULD BE FOR AN INVESTOR TO PURCHASE THE COMPLETED HOTEL AS AN INVESTMENT AND THEM LEASE IT OUT TO AN OPERATOR. AGAIN THIS IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY IN THE CURRENT MARKET.

THERE ARE SEVERAL DEVELOPMENT SITES IN THE CITY CENTRE WHICH HAVE PLANNING PERMISSION FOR HOTELS, BUT ARE NOT BEING BUILT FOR THE FOREGOING REASONS, AND THE CITY CENTRE IS A BETTER COMMERCIAL LOCATION THAN IBROX.

IN THE CURRENT MARKET A DEVELOPER WOULD NOT BUILD SPECULATIVELY IN THE HOPE THAT THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO THEN SELL THE DEVELOPMENT WHEN COMPLETED, THEY WOULD HAVE TO HAVE AN END USER TIED UP FIRST AND THEY JUST AREN'T AROUND. INDEED, BANKS WILL NOT LEND ON SPECULATIVE DEVELOPMENTS.

IT WOULD BE A SIMILAR CASE WITH MOST OTHER TYPES OF DEVELOPMENT, SUCH AS OFFICES AND RESIDENTIAL AND INDUSTRIAL. THE ONLY TYPE OF USE IN THE CURRENT MARKET THAT IS DOING WELL IS SUPERMARKET USE AND IT'S EXTREMELY DOUBTFUL THAT PLANNING PERMISSION WOULD BE OBTAINED FOR THIS.

I THINK THE WHOLE DEVELOPMENT ANGLE IS JUST NOT A CONSIDERATION FOR ANYONE PRESENTLY CONSIDERING INVESTING. IN THE CLUB.

EVEN LONG TERM IT WOULDN'T MAKE SENSE, YOU COULD INVEST YOUR MONEY IN LONDON NOW AND GET REASONABLY QUICK RETURNS.

I think the logic behind the plan is that grants will be given to rejuvenate so called 'deprived' areas of which Govan would be considered one. By the time building was complete it is likely they would get a reasonable return but in the short term I agree this is unlikely. A more concerning idea that Ellis may be after is land at Murray Park, development of land there would create a sizeable return as it is in Milngavie and land right next to it is about to be developed by Cala. I hope he doesn't do this Murray Park is key to Rangers future.
