Stuart McCall at Motherwell to be next Rangers Manager.
McCall currently with equal points with Rangers is challenging for SPL second place Euro slot.
McCall has done very well with a team that cost a few hundred thousand in comparison to Ally's £14m purchased squad.
Rangers needing proven SPL manager on tighter budget with blue credentials.

Believable30 Unbelievable68

Problem is, McColl has the correct players for the positions.
We have no Left Winger, No striker, no Right Back, and no CB's at D Utd.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont make up rubbish cos yer team blew the treble.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasn't a success down south

Agree0 Disagree0

....and you consider Stuart to be 'proven'!!! I personally think Ally IS the man to take us forward. First thing for Ally to change is our captain - Davis just can't handle the role. With Ally's strong management and a strong skipper to control things on the field and lead by example, we will be back next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Deduct motherwell 10 points aswell then and see how he does.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok deduct Motherwell 10 points and see how he does but lets give him £14m to spend on his squad and training facilities and support equal to what Ally gets, then we'll see an even comparison.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely it's big Terry Butcher at Inverness that's needed? Give him the big £15m squad and sit back and see results. He knows SPL works hard and gets results!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok give Ally Motherwell and Stuart Rangers and watch Rangers improve and Motherwell nosedive.

Agree0 Disagree0

And the euro slot that Rangers cannot qualify for matters why?

Agree0 Disagree0

Deduct 1o pts why, come season end will be 11pts clear min, pluys over £1/2m in black!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally is from the school of walter smith like this squad with previous was set up to be hard to beat thats it.we are mince, can't play football, can't control the ball, short on quality and short on players. Ally is a legend but not Rangers manager by a million miles. he may have potential. Rangers need a new way of playing different people and a new aproach

Agree0 Disagree0

The people calling for anyone other than Ally as manager really are as ignorant as their posts. The man has nothing to work with and the conditions are shocking. Given money and time he will continue to be a legend for us. In times like these its people like Ally and McCulloch who keep the team going the people who it is more than just a pay cheque for the people who eat sleep breathe the club in the way we all do. So before you make ridiculous ignorant comments trying learning somthing about football 1st.

Blue Stu

Agree0 Disagree0

Your some laugh mate, to think your that daft has cheered my monday up. Super Ally all the way, And how has coisty spent 14mill maybe its just me that dont know.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCall is a legend. And given time he may prove to be a very good manager. But to date his team is best of the rest. Different team every year does this. If he does 2 or 3 years in a row. I'll think different.

Agree0 Disagree0

I rather have Billy Davies good manger got Derby promoted to the premier league and I dont think many mangers could of kept them up, Nottingham Forest got them from fighting relegation to promotion candidates and look at Forest since they sacked him they are now fighting relegation he is a Rangers man as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Giving Ally more money than everyone else until he's successful doesn't make him a good manager.
In fact Walter Smith wasn't a good manager, he always had more than double the budget of the closest opposition. All on the never never!

Agree0 Disagree0

Without a doubt McCall is a better manager than Ally.
If Ally was at Motherwell they'd be fighting relegation......with a whimper.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe rangers cant afford to win at present - as the win bonus could bring on liquidation ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy davis would be good

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it is very hard to judge Ally this season bearing in mind what he has gone through with the wee LIAR.However his lack of European decision making cost us dearly. Still think he vis the man but wiil new owners agree? Interersting times ahead

Agree0 Disagree0

Think rangers were out 4 cups and lost a healthy lead by the time admin set in, hes spent money on signings and didnt even bench them, not the credentials of a great manager if you ask me! willybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

This post makes excellent sense.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who said walter smith wasnt a good manager... U are a **** pot

First thing we should do is replace mcshagger with cammy bell.

Believable37 Unbelievable55

Aye right coz he played a good game against smeltic, he only made one great save the rest were standard what you expect from a half decent keeper, McGregor has saved rangers so many goals and embarrassements down the years, and won us the title last year with that pen save from samaras, so this is a total nonsensical comment, Alexander is better than him aswell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ur jokin. Get rid of the best keeper in the league &scotlands no 1!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he is a good keeper and a couple of seasons ago we could have signed him, he's still young so I'd give him another season with killie before we make our move

RIP Liam's Dad. What a tragedy. You win the cup and lose your father. Too much to bear. Thinking of you Liam from a sad Gers fan

Believable24 Unbelievable3

As a Celtic fan was well gutted at today's result. Only just found out about the passing of Liam Kelly's father. Football game means nothing now. RIP Mr Kelly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really gutted for the lad, as it should be one of the proudest days of his life. Not every day you win the league cup as a player outside the OF. Tragedy, RIP Jack Kelly. Muzz

Agree0 Disagree0

R i p mr kelly from gers and tic family members of my family we all sad to here this news tonight

Agree0 Disagree0

Heartbreaking news.the picture of liam kelly in the sun today being propped up brought a tear to my eye.between fabrice muamba and mr.kelly, this weekend has been pretty horrendous.thoughts and deepest sympathy to the kellys and ongoing best wishes to muamba.

football really being put into perspective this weekend with the boy muamba n liam kellys dad collapsing in the touchline . it is only a game eh

Believable67 Unbelievable2

It is only a game the very reason why old firm game shd b postponed

Agree0 Disagree0

Tornadoes flattened two USA mid west towns last week killing over 40 and injuring hundreds.
Shells continue to rain down on city of Homs, Syria. Killing hundreds.
British troops vehicle attacked killing all 6 in Afghanistan.
Football needs to be always kept in perspective.

Agree0 Disagree0

As a fellow celtic supporter, i would like to pass my thoughts to liam kellys and his family.... his team well deserved the win and a great shame to loss of his father

HMRC moving this week to replace Duff and Phelps and secure Assets to value undisputed £15m owed. (ring fence Murray Park).

Believable33 Unbelievable58

Pity u couldnae ring fence the treble or the mickey mouse cup as u call it. oh, we wuz robbed again. wit a sad pathetic manager u lot have. roll on yer champions league qualifiers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive seen murry park, it already has a fence

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow! £15ml for a bit off land that you are not allowed to build residential housing or use for industrial use, lets eat killie pie while celtic cry

Agree0 Disagree0

Canny ring fence anything they like everybody else dont know who is legal owner so failfail and fail again(there is a treble for you)

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably a made-up rumour, but a sensible one. HMRC could leap in here with their prefered administrators as they're owed more than Whyte and probably want to make sure he walks away with nothing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha guess your source was still upset from yesterdays game when he told you this as it was confirmed today in court that D&P are still in charge!! Ice cream n Jelly anyone??

Agree0 Disagree0

How is £15 Mill more than £24 mill nothing been proved in big case yet. Thats why big rush to get declared administrators in own rights

Agree0 Disagree0

£15 mill is cheap expecting someone to buy it for a lot more than that remember immovable assets are priceless to some people and they would pay over the odds for something that couldn't be MOVED could be worth its weight in GOLD or DIAMONDS

Rumour that Liquidation early April.
March wage bill and all other bills Will finish cash reserves.
No Owners by then.
BTC report end of March against Rangers. As anticipated.
Post Liquidation, Club 9 pick it up for nowt.

Believable21 Unbelievable69

What utter rubbish
Why send this rumour

Agree0 Disagree0

Funnily enough D&P not said they will pay in full the March wage bill.
Also EBTs are indefensible. They are clearly not loans and never were intended as such.
No bids received good enough. CVA cannot be put together as conditions of bids require HMRC and ticketus to be settled!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do u make up utter pish, rangers are not going into liquidation it doesn't matter how much you are desperate for it to happen, deal with it

Agree0 Disagree0

Alas, it is not utter rubbish, the outcome will be indicated at the High Court today, bearing in mind that the legal teams at the court have to be paid, roughly 10grand per day, in addition to our instructing lawyers fees, and possibly the fees of the other side if we loose and the court awards their expences against us, it could add up to two very expensive days to try and rip up a contract with ticketus. As for the club being "picked up" please remember that the bids with D&P are only indicative, which means they may be prepared to buy, provided certain conditions are met by the vendor, i.e. pay off most of the outstanding debts, leaving the assets mostly intact, a legalistic way of saying liquidation is a viable option

Agree0 Disagree0

Naw, they is going to be a owner in the next week or 2 with 3 parties(Blue Knights, the Sale Sharks owner, and USA company) already put in a bid and another 1 or 2 are going to bid in the next couple of days (Far East and Middle East)

Agree0 Disagree0

Is there any point in buying papers cos the celtic fans seem to be able to predict the future and know whats right from wrong. They can tell us when liquidation is comin but pity they couldnt have told us killie were gonnae win the cup. i might have made a few quid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct!! The Administrators want new Owners to pay an acceptable CVA to creditors.
The bids are conditional on NO creditors.
Stalemate.
Only option is liquidation to offload creditor burden.
No one wishes to pay the bill for Murrays golden years.
Cash running out, Rangers running out of time.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can Club Pick it up for nowt? After liquidation there is nothing to pick up, the club ceases to exist. No club license, nothing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ticketus have not got a legal benchmark to lean on thats why they have offered Substantial working capital to Murrays bid the ticket deal was between them and whyte (7th april did not take ownership till 6th May) Whyte has meant to have done this with 100s of companies we are led to believe but somehow he forgot to inform the FS or is it he wasnt legal owner of Rangers and had no JUST CAUSE to place Rangers into ADMIN? You are right of course about the possibility of liquidation but I would put a £ to a !p that Octopus (ticketus parent company wont let this happen to bad for business be cheaper to lose £25mill than to lose face big thing in Far Eastern culture)

Agree0 Disagree0

It will take several weeks for an owner to emerge from these conditional bids.
None of them want to pay the debts off.
Time is mOney at Ibrox and it is running out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why cant Celtic fans accept that Rangers are going nowhere!........Failures on the Hampden turf.......now clutching at the old "Liquidation" straw......another cup Final bottled........another referee blamed........youve no class, no class at all.........we welcome the chase......54 and STILL Counting!

Dunno why people want Brian Kennedy his bid is only there for us to fall back on like he said. Think a consortium is the only way forward for us unless by some chance a wealthy billionaire comes in for us, just look at what happened with Whyte. Just hope we get it right this time around so we don't have to go through these testing times we are in the now ever again.
Ste

Believable23 Unbelievable4

I agree but the only reason I'm not sure about the blue knights is on the face of it, they don't seem to be putting up much of their own cash, also don't like the ticketus involvement, of course i could be wrong as we don't know the fine details yet. Currently I prefer the idea of Brian Kennedy or the bid from middle east that will be lodged mon/tues. as soon as someone says middle east you see £££££, hope that is the case

J

A wealthy Billionaire eh...ha ha

The blue knights is ununified. They have never all met face to face, ever.
P Murray is a failed former Director of a failed club and is described by the current regulations, literally, as a not fit and proper person.
B Kennedy is a successful sports team owner entrepreneur.

Sad news that the Kilmarnock player Liam Kellys father had a heart attack at the game today, the lad didnt celebrate his teams victory over Celtic and went straight to the hospital. Hope hid dad is ok, puts any dissapointment in perspective I think and makes you realise after all, its only a game of football. Get Well Soon Mr Kelly......JS

Believable18 Unbelievable2

That's a Shame, I'm sure if it's the end, the lad would be proud that his dad seen him win the cup. Hope he gets well soon

Two sad situations in two days around football north and south of the border, certainly puts things into perspective. Best wishes to both.
Incidentally I am a Celtic supporter who remembers only too well when our club were so close to administration and what the people in charge fail to grasp is how much these two clubs mean to their fans. Hope to see you back in financial stability and this great footballing city can have it's big two playing on an even keel again.

Bears - what would you prefer?

1) blue knights
2) Brian Kennedy
3) middle east bid (in herald on Sunday so very believable, not your usual s**te)

I would prefer either Kennedy or middle east bid, more
Finance than blue knights

J

Believable43 Unbelievable14

I agree totally. Perfect scenario is Brian Kennedy as owner, Graeme Souness as Director of Football & Billy Davies as manager............no harm to Allistair McCoist,........but like the legend John Greig, he is not quite cutting it.......yet still a legend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone of them apart from the blue knights, something strange going into it with ticketus

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you prefer Whyte with all his billions ?. I think at some point we all bought into it more in hope, but if that wasn't a wake up call as to who can buy our club and do as they please with it, then nothing is. It's the Blue knights for me, Better the devil you know, once bitten twice shy and all that jazz.

Agree0 Disagree0

All of them are not after the banquet, they are after the rich picking from liquidation. Any truth in the rumour that Aluko did not start because he gets a pay rise when he starts another game ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lafferty has played 98 matches for Rangers, when he hits 100 matches the Rangers owe Burnely more money(which they cant afford at the present time), hell play 1 more match this season, the OF game next Sunday.

Agree0 Disagree0

An arab money man could be the worst thing to happen to us, cos remember, what goes up must come down. Take man city for example the have a loss of 5 million per month, what happens when the rich arab wants to sell up then leave the club with all the debt. Ok this might to happen to man city now, im sure there would be plenty of super rich guys who are willing to be a suger daddy to the EPL. But if we get a rich arab...who would replace him when he wants to go? would we have all this debt that no1 could afford to take on? I would prefer real rangers men who are prepared to invest a little each year yet still preserve a good balance sheet in the mean time. I think for all the concerned bids, its a little bit to early to pass judgement on them because we ont know that deals on offer, we dont know whats the best one for the club, so untill we know what the bids are for sure, im gonna be patient and wait to see whats what.

Further bids for Rangers expected next week. Bids from others that haven't been mentioned before.

Believable36 Unbelievable22

Whats the source m8?

Gers1986

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish.
Even Kennedy's half hearted effort for the assets is better than P Murray. No surprise there, he has no money but offers unrealistic value of share listing.
Kennedy going to cream it in with emerging Glasgow rugby.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought Friday was the deadline? will this all drag on and on after yesterdays result. We need to get this sorted and get back to building a football team.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not the original poster, but one off the Duff & Phelps duo said so. My own opinion is beware the late bids, especially when they want their details kept secret. This is so that the Media cant delve into them & find out their true motives for buying our club. I also dont trust Duff & Phelps, and believe they will sell to one of these late bids.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont see any problem with late bids coming in or even accepting late bids if thats the best offer for the club, just because these other secret bidders are wanting to do business behind the scenes doesnt mean they are dodgy bidders, i look forward to seeing the outcome and watching all the green and grey hordes lining up to jump off the erskine bridge when they realise Rangers aint dying and in fact we may well come out of this twice as stong as before, that will be sweet, p.s good luck to Killie today.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope your right m8, but if another Whyte gets in it will be us lining up at the Erskine bridge.

Agree0 Disagree0

P.Murray is trying to save our history and hoping somebody will step in when the dust settles without us going in to liquidation
B.Kennedy is blowing smoke up his own A*** and trying to get free publicity for his failing business but has a track record of putting his money were his mouth is but not on the scale that RFC would require
One thing I do know is all Duff&Phelps books concerning Rangers accounts are in Dollars, whether this is standard practice when dealing with International bids I do not know perhaps one of our more learned friends could enlighten us

Celtic in secret talks to enter English league 1.

Celtic realise that they can't financially prosper without Rangers and are currently looking at new ways to generate income... no need we're not going anywhere.

Source - English press & Discussed on TV's Sunday Supplement this morning. .

Believable23 Unbelievable57

Wont happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic have had ongoing talks with league 1 for some time before rangers went into to admin, will leave rangers behind in spl if successful.
Perhaps a case of can rangers survive without celtic ???!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

After all that p!sh they were giving our fans when we were asking ed about the English possibility an it's them that's having "secret" talks,so, what English league team do they think they have the "right" to replace then? F£ck England, I'm Scottish and I'll keep supporting an hoping our league gets better then our national team will get better an I won't have to wait nearly half my lifetime for another world cup opener against brazil ! 1314

Hmmm. Probably too many obstacles.

Agree0 Disagree0

Secret talks with who? oh it's a secret. Naw it is a fantasy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Now they want to be British. Seen the light have they.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you care what the English press say. If this is true, the discussions ave been clearly ongoing before we went into administration so I don't think it is anything to o with us.

Agree0 Disagree0

The old firm are not wanted in england. what part of that do people not understand. there's more chance of celtic qualifying for the group stages of champs lge.

Agree0 Disagree0

The scottish football leauge (and rugby) show that true indepdenence offers - financial ruination and wooden spoons

- a country with a small TV audience and therefore customer base and pool to recuit players from - cant complete with the might of england and the rest of the world.

in the 70's we could - but poor financial management has destroyed our banks (which rules england) and now our football - which once rules Europe and was a recuiting ground for the top english league teams

Agree0 Disagree0

Wot a load of bullsh!t..celtic are not wanted in english football..nor are we for that matter, its been stated many many times. looks like some tim is hoping against hope... lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally i think rangers and celtic should start 2 new teams in the bottom leagues of england but keep two teams up in scotland. Get the best of the young scottish talent working their way up the english leagues. With the best of scottish young talent playing, both teams could be in league 1 / championship with 5 years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cardiff Swansea and Wrexham were only invited into English league system because of the lack of viable stadiums in Wales not because of quality of opposition so unless they go round bulldozing stadiums they have heehaw chance of joining English League

Agree0 Disagree0

Neither Rangers or Celtic can play in the English leagues.
UEFA rules changes some time ago prohibit clubs playing in leagues outside their home country.
Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham are in the English leagues because they were ALREADY in them prior to the rule changes.

Brian Kennedy wants Ibrox for Glasgow Sharks rugby.
Also Murray park for rugby training.

He believes the Edinburgh/ borders set can be challenged by the West Coast and that Glasgow needs a rugby stadium to rival Murrayfield.

Believable27 Unbelievable29

Interest in rugby growing in Glasgow and quite a viable project.

Agree0 Disagree0

And what is he going to do with Rangers then?

Stockport County

Agree0 Disagree0

Rumour Jim Traynor and Keith Jackson learning rugby rules.

Agree0 Disagree0

Face facts - a ranger team relegated to the 3rd division of scottish football, and without serious income - probably wont ever return to the scottish premiership.

Agree0 Disagree0

More bullsh!t. kennedy big mates with souey, who admits has had talks with kennedy. like souey is gonna help put gers out of business!.. catch yourselves on and get a life!!

Agree0 Disagree0

"Face facts - a ranger team relegated to the 3rd division of scottish football, and without serious income - probably wont ever return to the scottish premiership." Haha and then just watch every club in the SPL except Celtic fold one after the other like dominoes due to no Sky TV money and no Rangers to visit their stadiums. Wake up pal. {Ed001's Note - I think you need to wake up, they are not reliant on Rangers or Celtic to continue.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The first 25,000 season tickets money goes to ticketus (for 4 years) - unless this can ve legally avoided.

Now if ranger in 3rd division what price will a season ticket be.... ??

And will there be more than 25,000 ticket payers - so rangers even get a penny ?

This is the financial ruin you facing.. or are you still head in the sands.....

Even in the 3rd division rangers will still be in the cups - so teams will still get two chances for big gates....

Or will clubs vote to keep rangers in SPL - so rangers can keep stopping these clubs winning any cups, money, entry to europe.

I just cant see Dunfermline voting for relegation and to keep rangers in spl... why - for what money ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers and Celtic - have had such a strangle hold on winning - that only 1 or 2 other clubs each seasion have any chance of a runners up position and entry to europe.

Without Rangers in SPL - there is suddenly the possibility celtic will win treble for next few years - but this double or trebles cances for runner-up slots to europe etc etc

So while money may be lost in Sky money (falling anyway) and big gates - the gain for many clubs is ..... THEY MIGHT WIN SOMETHING - and that might mean more fans in thier stands - paying week on week.

i just dont think its open and shut case that all clubs except celtic NEED rangers in SPL

Ibrox= home of Glasgow rugby

Out of the three indicative bids, it has emerged that Brian Kennedy's bid is by far the most impressive.
Kennedy, from Edinburgh has been a noted Hibs fan but his wife and kids are rangers daft (you'd have to be ;o) lol).

Another bid still anticipated from Singapore ( SE Asia NOT far East!).
Daily Record.

Believable20 Unbelievable11

Kennedy wants the facilities for rugby!

Agree0 Disagree0

SOUTH EAST ASIA IS IN THE FAR EAST CLOWN!!! i know i lived there for years

Agree0 Disagree0

Ooooo temper this morning...

Agree0 Disagree0

SE Asia is South East!
Far East = China, Japan, Korea, etc....
Another 6 hours flight ....

Agree0 Disagree0

I live and travel through Singapore frequently. It's SE Asia, not Far East. FAR East is Hong Kong, Japan, Seoul, Beijing....

Agree0 Disagree0

Kennedy would want the facilities primarily for Rangers Football Club, with a view to Rugby being played there also Id imagine.

Agree0 Disagree0

In the herald on Sunday it's says there will be a bid from the middle east early next week, I know what paper I would believe!

J

Agree0 Disagree0

South east, Far east, Middle east, Inner east, east end of Glasgow lol. Can I just say to the original poster, that sneaky Whytes dad was meant to be a gers fan. Me I think he just slipped some old homeless guy £50 and asked him to don a gers scarf for the day, whilst pretending to be his dad. The one thing we have all learned from this Whyte episode is that con men will tell you any old bull so they can make a quick and easy buck. I'm not saying for a minute that MR Kennedy is a con man, but one more blunder will see our club die.

Agree0 Disagree0

The whole future of Rangers depends on the subjective view of D&P who have no Rangers past, history.
Should they have this power? Slip someone the club for a back nod and a wink favor?
Who is providing oversight of the bid process in Rangers interest? Whyte?

Agree0 Disagree0

In response to the last post, the bid that D&P are trying to secure is not meant to be in Rangers' best interests they are there to secure the best possible deal for creditors, that is what they were appointed by the courts to do so but you'd like to think that anyone willing to actually take it on would have the best interests of the club at heart otherwise why even bother with it but that is not D&P's main concern, their main duty is to the creditors not the club unfortunately.
