Can anyone help me? I have been on holiday and am wondering what happened to the Mike Ashley investment? Also there was a chap from Nottingham he was going to chip in a million or so has this materialized? My guess Green would have been shouting loud and hard if these deals had been completed.

Believable22 Unbelievable13

Good point, Green was on tv telling us sports direct guy was buying 9.8% for £2m. The SFA said they had given clearance for the deal as there was a conflict of interest as the guy owns a large percentage of Newcastle. Then we were told we were getting Newcastle young guys on loan....... All b****cks.
Oh and what happened to the legality of the players leaving and suing their club's for their values? Nothing happened more bluff and bluster from Green.

Agree0 Disagree0

Any quotes from Ashley on that ? Is he not in it to make money cos with the new club all merch sales are up for grabs and laptop loyal spun it like a top ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Can we please see the Indonesian guy with two names on tv being interviewed? I'd like to hear his opinions on stuff. And the other two Muslim guys? One in London one in Singapore.... And who owns blue pitch holdings?

Agree0 Disagree0

I said on here at the time that it was all crap from Green to keep the masses happy and got shot down in flames. Guess I was right. I don't trust him one little bit

Agree0 Disagree0

And now hes on a trip to the states maybe Obama will be investing next

Agree0 Disagree1

To the above posters how do you know if charles green is telling porkies

Agree2 Disagree0

Isnt the superstore at ibrox now ran or supplied by sports direct? I havent been in a jjb or sports direct store since this came out but maybe that would shed some light?

Agree1 Disagree0

Green & Ammad in Toronto right now telling
the fans of his plans for the club.Is he telling them something different from the fans over here.Does he have any plans at all
apart from selling shares?Source at meeting
saying 'impressed by his candour' Do these guys not have internet?

Agree0 Disagree0

Binman says

No problems with HMRC
No problems with CVA
No chance of liquidation
No problems with SPL
No problems - its SFL 1
Players will TUPE over
Players will be sued
BBC will be sued
3 billionaires
20 existing investors lined up
9 Newcastle players on loan
5 players from Euros (Templeton!)
I was at EUEFA in Switzerland
10% sold to guy with training company
10% sold to Newcastle guy
Ally not been given 4.5% in lieu of SPL level salary

I am sure there is lots more - please post if remember more

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who asked 'how do you know if
charles is telling porkies' -his lips move

Agree1 Disagree0

Ashley did invest. There was a story. Rangers ditch JJB and SportsDirect take over. Do the papers need to mention all deals every day? Also poster one..the sfa OK'ed it because there was NO conflict of interest...

Agree0 Disagree0

I live in nottingham, and I must admit that I hadn't even heard of any investment potential for us from someone here...might have been a poisson rouge, or it may not have been publicised too well here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mike ashley did invest hense the deal with sports direct

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley never handed over cash to Rangers.
Ashley profits from merchandising. Ashley not shareholder.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for all the replies but I am none the wiser. Surprise, surprise.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who exactly says we were getting 9 Newcastle players on loan to the guy who's posted this?

Whats up with kyle Hutton not seen him in a while ? Is he injured or has ally fell out with him ??

Believable26 Unbelievable6

Kyle & Ally just don't see eye to eye ! Too much alike ... after the Edinburgh scene last year Ally has lost faith in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Simple - Ally doesn't like him. Kyle has been told by mccoist that he's not in his plans and time to find another club. He was at Patrick last year and did well. He's available on a free to anyone who wants him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently he has been told he does not feature in McCoist's long term plans.

Agree1 Disagree0

Has he not been let go?

Agree0 Disagree0

We cant afford to be losing players because of a lovers tiff. Ally swallow yer pride and gi the boy a game we could do with some steel in the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hutton replied to a couple of tweets yesterday that there's been no fallout and he is fit and able to play. Make of that what you will

Agree0 Disagree0

Its the usual thing with mccoist. he would not recognise a good player if it hit him face on.the young boy should move on and kick start his career somewhere else

Agree0 Disagree0

Post no5. spot on .

Agree0 Disagree0

No tiff. As I said in post 2, mccoist doesn't rate him. Told him that and said go find another club. He's trying. Fact.

Agree0 Disagree0

The press were vilifying Craig Levein for the same thing with Steven Fletcher. Surely a lack of professional acumen on both counts.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCoist doesn't rate him, F##KING AMAZING!! given some of the utter garbage he has signed since taking over from Walter.. our present centre backs for a start.. Your a Rangers hero don't continue to spoil that and move aside.. John F

Agree0 Disagree0

Kyle & Ally just don't see eye to eye !
.....................................................

If Ally would stand on a chair it would make thinks alot easier.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kyle Hutton was one of the better players against Brechin.
The current squad is short in numbers and if McCoist has to move McCulloch upfront the midfield is a bit light weight.Hutton can tackle and is a good passer of the ball.
McLeod Hutton Black Shiels ?

Hi Ed just seen Mr Charles on STV news at 6pm. I'm really sick of his perception peddling now.
Deflecting last nights footballing mess by playing the victim again.
Blaming SFA and SPL for relentlessly pursuing Rangers with an agenda to harm the club. Then he finished off by slagging Scotland. I really think given that tirade that he doesn't like Scotland. I know we needed him but I'll be glad when he moves on.
Doncaster and Regan actually went lightly on rangers. It was club chairmen who wouldn't let us in.

Believable55 Unbelievable30

His point was that the EBTs that Rangers used were legal. The Stupid Football Association the SPL and every team in the league new that Rangers were using them. The question is why now are the are Rangers being so heavily. Lord Nimmo was the judge that passed a ruling on Rangers to ban them for signing players. NO SFA law is written to say that this applies so therefore he was wrong. The SFA then appoint the same Lord Nimmo to investigate the EBT situation . Now call me skeptical but Lord Nimmo was put down by a panel of fellow judges for using a law that did not exist , so he will now be looking for retribution. Its human nature.

Agree0 Disagree2

Aaaaaaahhhh....EBT's are not illegal it's the side letters/contracts that are being investigated......how many times must this be repeated

Agree1 Disagree0

Green seems to be blurring the separate EBT and dual contracts issues. It spossible he could be doing this deliberately, creating a narrative to keep bears on side, and to deflect scrutiny of his own affairs.

There are 3 separate elements to this affair.
1.First is EBTs
2.Second is 'disguised remuneration'
3.Third is 'side letter' contracts and player payments.

EBTs and 'disguised remuneration' are strictly an HMRC issue. But side letter contracts is the purview of the footballing authorities. Dealing with each in turn:
1.EBTs are perfectly legal.
2.But when EBTs (or any other instruments) are used for the purposes of 'disguised remuneration' this constitutes tax evasion which is illegal.
The existence of 'side letters' is seen as evidence that the EBTs used by Rangers probably (FTT still to report back) came under the auspices of disguised remuneration. This is certainly the HMRC view and they have assessed and found against 'oldco' rangers accordingly.
The First tier tribunal is a result of oldco appealing this assessment by HMRC along with the penalties that were applied as a result.

3. On the footballing side, the football authorites require that all payments and contracts made to players in respect of their footballing activities are directly registered with the football authorities

Publishing in the company accounts almost certainly doesn't cut it here... a specific breakdown of which payment is made to which player is required. This is a sensible requirement: the purpose of contract registration is to help prevent match fixing, betting fraud and suchlike.
By requiring all payments to be registered, any unusual patterns (e.g. being given a bonus for losing a game) could be easily spotted and investigated. And since there would be no need to hide legitimate payments, any 'undeclared' money given to players is automatically suspicious and represents a violation. So the efefct is to lower the evidential bar when it comes to establishing and eliminating such match fixing fraud which might otherwise be very difficult to prove.

The existence of any side contract for remuneration regarding playing services that was not registered with the footballing authorities (whether in relation to an EBT or anything else!) would fall foul of this requirement with the result that the player would be improperly registered.
In the past, accidental misregsitration has been dealt with very harshly. It is therefore hard to see how the authorities could take anything other than a very firm stance where such misregistration was deliberate in order to obtain a pecunary advantage.

If the judicial panel finds that these 'side contracts' and payments - if any are uncovered - were not related to playing activities, then RFC is in the clear. If however they relate to payments for playing services, it does not look good.

W.r.t Juninho... if there was no second contract along with the EBT (e.g. it formed part of his main contract), or if the EBT payment was disclosed in full and specific detail to the footballing authorities at the appropriate time (a second contract existed, and was registered), or if the payment did not actually relate to playing services (management, coaching, etc) then there would be no case to answer.

Agree1 Disagree0

Does anybody really believe Green travelled to Switzerland for a football conference let alone everybody there were saying what a joke Scotland is?

Bear in mind he's been frantically trying to put together the details of the share issue recently.

Why was Chuck even there supposedly? As we aren't even going to be in Europe for the next 3 years minimum. And why did he lie about seeing UEFA the last time?

Why all the porkies?

Agree0 Disagree0

Re-"slagging scotland", mate if i had enough cash i would be out of this backwards, small-minded little country in a flash. Maybe Mr Green is correct?

Agree2 Disagree0

Mr Green is spot on, this country is ruined by bigotry and agendas, imagine punishing a team with a punishement they dont have power to give, corrupt, im glad mr green is showing regan and co up, these guys tried to bribe the sfl clubs aswell, shocking.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whilst he did say "Scotland" I think he has got mixed up mid-sentence and really meant to say Scottish Football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have heard that stuart mccall been sounded out as a replacement for ally.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the above lets all hope this true mc call would be good for rangers w.a.t.p

Agree0 Disagree0

Doncaster and Regan were with the chairmen of the SPL. But they were then trying to fudge the SFL and it was the SLF clubs who (rightly) said SFL3 not SFL1. Didn't one of them come out with a statement about a new SPL2 if the SFL didn't comply? No, their reputation is mince now.

Agree0 Disagree0

No, their reputation is mince now.
=====================

Their reputation was always mince.

Agree0 Disagree0

You seem to forget that the punishment available to Lord Nimmo was complete expulsion for Rangers from the league. Yes, a signing embargo wasn't in the rules but it could have been a lot worse. And didn't Duff & Phelps and / or Charles Green say that they were going to chalenge the decision only to back off when they realised this?

Agree0 Disagree0

Scotland is a joke - not just at football either. We are the most small minded ignorant nation on Earth. Why do you think the entire SPL voted to kill-off Scottish football, just to spite Rangers?

Agree0 Disagree0

You people have such short memories! But I guess that's ok to forget that the SFL Have bent over backwards to help your club out! And as a previous poster highlighted you may have been suspended! Transfer embargo was a joke! They helped you even there by letting it start after the window shut! What about a 10 point deduction for starting the season in administration? You got away with that too! But still you go on as if you have Bernhardt done by! The fact that your club is allowed to play in the league is probably the biggest one of all! 3 years of audited accounts is a requirement of entry but you couldn't provide even that! Spartans should be the team allowed in the league not your club! But still you go on complaining!
Fact is! Your club has rode on the coat tails of your friends in High places for so long you have forgotten what is like to have to be a normal club!
So stop your f....ing wingeing and just concentrate on getting back to your rightful place at the top of British football! Because quite frankly I am getting fed up with all the excuses and paranoia!

Ed could you show me or tell me where to view the stats for ally's time in charge my mate reckons he has won less than 50% surely that's not right and is that the fifth cup he has been manager when rangers have been put out ? {Ed001's Note - try this: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/ally-mccoist/aufeinenblick/trainer_4164.html that is an excellent and usually accurate site.}

Believable8 Unbelievable8

He was worse than LeGuen last season by a long chalk at the same point when LeGuen was sacked and he got worse. So far this season very very poor stats. Not good enough stats going forward to get promotion unless they improve but just can't see it happening.

Ed I looked on fitb a stats and it says ally's at 60% for wins so far {Ed001's Note - his record on the face is not going to be bad, but when you consider most games he is facing far weaker teams, that is when it starts to look poor.}

Agree0 Disagree0

According to that ,ED , Ally is 50 next Monday. Fans got anything planned ?

Paddy Malarkey

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed can you tell me where i can find his stats for a question of sport because i dont think he got many points going away from home on that either ...

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets face it, these players are spl "quality". they should be able to go out and beat 3rd 2nd and 1st division teams with ease!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well a few of them are certainly on quality wages its time they earned it.
