Rangers have bid £2.4m plus £500k addons, but GW is still going to BBR because thompson has said he does not want to sell to another SPL club.... The bid was not rejected but not accpted. That was Rangers' final bid though. macca

Believable11 Unbelievable13

Don't talk rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

This Thomson is a clown, first its an official statement saying he is for sale at 2m... bollox then he moves the goal posts.... for 2 million I would sign someone else, no harm intended to DG, but I would not give utd a single penny......

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you hear this?

Agree0 Disagree0

Never true Rangers don't think David Goodwillie is worth that kind of money Rangers wouldn't go anymore than 2m for him In my opinion I think Rangers can get a player at equal or better calibre for 2m

Agree0 Disagree0

Im hearing that the bid HAS been accepted. Again, thompson does not like Rangers but im only going on what i am hearing. Not rubbish. Perhaps if you have a source, you can tell us what your source is saying (not your grannys dog). My source, is a top journo who is a close personal friend (best man at my wedding) macca

Agree0 Disagree0

Thomson's position has been obvious from the start he dosent want to sell to Rangers full stop. Its up to the player now if he wants to come all he has to do is dig his heels in and demand a transfer Gers have done their bit, so i'd say ball is in DGW's court D.Utd won't like it if he does but then are they really gonna knock back that money and have an unhappy player ?? I think not come on DGW so us your bottle demand to go to ibrox

Agree0 Disagree0

I love how other SPL teams would rather sell to the EPL then allow the SPl to keep their top players making the SPL better. I know Gers and them have all the money but it will only make the SPL better in the long run. Sick of Gers haters ruining good deals.

Agree0 Disagree0

My best man at my wedding is my source. Journo with a top paper (not the sun or rebel) and he has been pretty solid over the years. Ally wants him though, and its true that once you play for the mighty gers, your value will rocket higher. Just look at Jelavic - £4m buy, worth £10m now. He is worth £2m but..... He said Rangers bid £2.1m earlier this morning and it was rejected Remember the abandoned game last season, where thompson said no free entry to the gers fans who had to go up again? this is the muppet we are dealing with macca

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

People are saying that he aint worth 2million + but what you are getting is a player with loads of potential and who already is good enough to score us 20 plus goals a season. What is he 23, the boy is still learning and if he progresses like he should you will be looking at doubling or trebeling what he is worthin the next couple of years, but I really dont care how much or what he is worth, I just want him to pull on the Rangers jersey and score week in week out. Him and Jela 4 in a row

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully Rangers have not bid that much ? David g/willie not worth it 1million tops I really dont think he, ll hack it down south Ill say one thing Thomson has taken everybody in but its good for united and they are scots after all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will get ver hoek for less and a better player to boot.

Hearing Goodwillie is at Murray Park as we speak, I have been rather sceptical on this one but the source is good. Not on here to bulls**t anyone before anyone asks source a mate of mine who has been mates with Darren Cole since we were kids.

Believable7 Unbelievable11

I know Darren, What college did he attend 3 years ago ?

Give me the correct answer and just maybe I might believe you.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not Murray park he is at...It's Marr Hall Hotel according to sources that I expect will know...
That's where the team go the day before leaving for Euro games...That's where Ally is...That's where Goodwillie has gone tonight to discuss terms.
It's as good as done, seeing as DG won't be hard to convince to join us.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest I couldnt tell you where he went to college, I didnt know he did I'd imagine it to be West Lothian. I dont know Cole personally but my mate does.... VERY VERY well, he played beside him at Murieston

My wife works with Jamie Murphy's aunt (I know what you're all thinking, but it's true) and he is a Gers fan through and through. Most of his family support that other mob, including his dad, but Murphy would never sign for them - he hates them.

But no bids in for him yet.

Believable7 Unbelievable11

Yeah thats lies

Agree0 Disagree0

And you know that's lies how? What's your proof otherwise?

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a rangers fan he stays just up the road from me but i dont know about all the other things in the post

Agree0 Disagree0

I think as a professional footballer, he would consider a bid from them if it came in, provided we hadn't bid for him. Although I expect he wouldn't be slow to to let the Gers know about it first.

ALLY MCCOIST has admitted that he has not given up hope of landing Dundee United striker David Goodwillie.

It has been reported that the 22-year-old's move to Blackburn Rovers is not yet set in stone despite a fee being agreed between the EPL and SPL clubs.

Goodwillie was due to meet Ewood Park boss Steve Kean today but this did not materialise as the Premiership side have just returned from a pre-season trip to Hong Kong.

The Scotland star will now train with his Tannadice teammates tomorrow but McCoist insists he still wants to sign the Scotland star despite having several bids already rejected for the player.

Speaking to RangersTV he said: "Until someone tells me that he has signed for Blackburn Rovers I will be hoping we can get him, there's no doubt about that.

"He's obviously a player we would like and it's pretty straight forward that Blackburn are interested as well.

"But until someone tells me that he has signed on the dotted line for Blackburn I will always be hopeful."

Ed I don't understand why goodwillie is traveling all the way back home if he's to travel bk to Blackburn tmoro? He will sign for rangers I haven't got a source or anything I'm just using my head If he was to sign for burn it would gave been done by now? {Ed019's Note - he was meant to be meeting with kean today, but it didnt happen because blackburn just got in from a tour. heres hoping sir ally can sneak him in.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Hopefully ed this is our chance to me a fink if he was goin bk tomorrow he would hav jus stayed in a hotel tonyt save all the travellin lets hope we get him

Tell Goowillie and Dundee Untd. to get lost, forget this average player [with major baggage] and move on, please please please let him go elsewhere, the pressure particularily from fans that now see him as some kind od Messiah makes this a signing that we need to run away from for both his and our point of view.

Durrant has had contact with Chelsea manager Boas over the weekend and it is believed that Gers are interested in signing Sturridge on a season long loan deal.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

What a load of BS, such a deluded mob

Sturridge is worth ten million and his wages would be close to £40,000

DazzaBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the same Chelsea manager that said earlier in the week that Sturridge won't be going on loan as he is his plans I smell dogs dirt

Agree0 Disagree0

Away and throw sh1te at the moon

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

This is a believable rumour. Loan clubs do not necassarily pay all the wages. For example. Sir alex ferguson loaned danny welbeck to his son at preston. they could not afford his wages. Rangers and chelsea have a very strong relationship so the same thing might happen

Rangers will let Fleck and Edu leave the club this window if Rangers can bring in Bedoya now rather than in January.

McCoist has told both that they do not feature in his long term plans.

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Sounds good to me, not good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, i am sorry but if edu isnt in his plans why has he pulled on a rangers shirt the last 3 competitive games. (been a passenger in all 3)
players have been played out of position to accommodate him every game.
i would have played ortiz centre mid with davis, with wylde and naisy on the wings
surely theres a youngster that could have put in a better shift {Ed001's Note - quite often players will play purely to put them in the shop window for interested parties to watch his performances. I am not saying that is happening here, but it is possible.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely we'd get more for Edu if we didn't put him in the shop window?

Agree0 Disagree0

"Surely we'd get more for Edu if we didn't put him in the shop window?"

Rangers will wait until after the Malmo game to complete deals for Verhoek and Juhasz, as well as another striker on loan for the season.

David Goodwillie is on his way back to Scotland after failing to undergo a medical at Blackburn Rovers on Monday.

STV understands the English Premier League side s deal for the striker is still alive, but a planned meeting with manager Steve Kean did not go ahead on Monday.

Goodwillie will now return to train with Dundee United on Tuesday, despite a fee being agreed with Blackburn Rovers and personal terms having also been settled.

Rovers boss Kean is eager to meet Goodwillie before any transfer is signed off. But the club only returned from a pre-season trip to Hong Kong on Monday morning.

Rangers failed with a fifth bid for the 22-year-old on Monday, which is believed to have fallen short of the amount agreed upon between United and Blackburn. No improved deal has been forthcoming from the SPL champions as of yet.

It is also understood that Rangers are keen to pay any transfer fee for Goodwillie over the duration of any possible contract with the club, while Dundee United are eager for all monies to be paid up front.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Sorry to say this but the longer this has gone on and all the other transfer dealings it just beggers belief if we want a player pay the dosh get them in get them playing, i agree we were in a bad way before and we dont want to go back there but we need quality players in A.S.A.P, so does m whyte have the money?

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll never actually know the full details of the offer, and everything we hear is just speculation. However, if what is said is true, why would any club accept an offer of instalments when they would need to replace the player being sold. If we really want the player, Goodwillie or anyone else for that matter, pay the money agreed and get the deal done. Or have this seasons ticket funds dried up.....

Believable4 Unbelievable8

What nonsense, every time a player is on a free some nutters on here say were signing them

Agree0 Disagree0

Trezeguet would rather play in Italy, that is a fact (only since talks broke down with Napoli (correct me if I'm wrong) is he now looking elsewhere), he wants to go home. An EPL team are also looking at him.

As for Barton - He's just on the market, can't see Ally already being in touch about it. I can't see us being able to afford the wages, although CL/EL MAY entice him, but again, can't see it...

Ed, do you think Rangers should just walk away from this deal now? Dundee utd don't want to sell to us. They are no doubt that Rangers have offered £2m for him. It will be the sell on fee that Rangers don't want. Come on Rangers walk away now. In Ally We Trust. {Ed019's Note - aparently the medical at blackburn has been cancelled. think he is worth a punt personally, but the whole saga is getting out of hand, think we need to nip it in the bud.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yip Even if he did sign for us, the pressure on him to perform after all the on/off, 5 failed bid saga would now be enormous. I personally dont think he could handle it off the park either Just my opinion.

After the way Dundee united have treated us through this fiasco we should not do business with their pathetic a hole of a manager again. Airdrie bear.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Ha, are you serious??? or are you a tim on the windup? After the way United have treated yous ?? haha ohh dear what a giggle, anyways rumour up here in dundee at the min is Utd HAVE accepted a bid from rangers after yous matched Blackburns bid, but just a rumour doing the rounds in the office (i'm in Dundee) from Utd messageboards so no credible source, yous may get your man afterall but come off it the way they have treated yous ohhhh what a laugh

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

Beleive me mate when i say that i am a big rangers fan but its not united thats at fault here, , they told us weeks ago what they wanted, the same as we dont like english clubs taking our guys for nowt, , everyone should calm down as goodwillie isnt exactly messi , , is he now??

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not Peter Houston, he's pals with coisty n mcdowall Its their chairman

Agree0 Disagree0

What u mean treated us??? they put a price on him at the beginning of the transfer window. blackburn are the highest bidder enough said. if 2 clubs where bidding for naismith. would we take the second highest bid???

Agree0 Disagree0

How have D.U. treated us?
They stated a price, Rangers tried 4 times under that price (possibly 5, depending on this latest bid).
IF we had bid the £2m to start with, Goodwillie would be a Rangers player already. After weeks of messing around with diddy bids, we have quite possibly lost him.
It's not D.U.s fault, it's McCoist/Whyte to blame

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not the manager that accepts offers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sick of hearing about Goodwillie now why didn't we just offer the money at the start instead now that Blackburn have offered 2.8m.

The gets should try and get some good free agents in such as Julio Arca formerly of middlesborough he is a left midfield or left back.

Another player who push for a starting place and surely upgrade over Edu is Tamir Cohen formerly of Bolton these 2 players would upgrade the team and be solid additions.

HT

Agree0 Disagree0

We deserve the rejections though, we had the chance to get him for 2M but we f***ed about.

Agree0 Disagree0

After the way they've treated us ? All they have done is accept the highest bid for their player , what do you want them to do we would do the same. If he really wants to play for Rangers he should knock back the personal terms offered by blackburn forcing utd's hand into selling to us. Look what happened to Kenny Miller last Jan , Brimingham offered us 700k we accepted, miller told them to shove their £30k a week as he was going to get £50k a week in turkey forcing us into selling him to Bursaspor for £400k ..

it s up to Goodwillie now i'm afraid...

Agree0 Disagree0

U my friend r a joke, what have dundee united done wrong, nothing. Your main signin target of the summer, u knew the goin rate and still wont pay it. Laughable way to be business

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think houston was the problem mate, it was their chairman

Agree0 Disagree0

They way we have treated them...get a grip big man they are running a business, gers werent coming up with the goods...blackburn did so its gers messing about that has caused all this. if gers had come up with the 2mil at the start there wouldnt have been a problem. so united not to blame in my eyes...poor business from the gers {Ed047's Note - really bored with this 'blame them' nonsense. Here's a question to all of you....
Rangers have supposedly accepted a £3m bid for Bougherra and he's off after Malmo. An EPL club come in tomorrow with £2.3m and we accept and Bougherra wants to go to the EPL. What would your reaction be to that? You'd be raging with Whyte/Smith for accepting the lesser bid.

Agree0 Disagree0

It has nothing to do with their manager its their chairman. anyway if we had offered what we are offering now 2 weeks ago Goodwillie would be at Ibrox now, instead we wait till someone else makes an offer and we don't match it. Any chairman would take the better offer. Either match Blackburns offer or move on - Trichovski would be a great alternative.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte must be as thick as mince if he, s offering less than blackburn, he, s making us the laughing stock and dragging Ally through with him. The man is a joke

Agree0 Disagree0

A still believe DG will sign for us, plus a hink ee should try n get joey barton now hes been released, if we beat malmo tho...he would rip brown a new farter on his forheed

5th Goodwillie bid by Rangers rejected

STV website

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Whats so hard for Coisty and CW to understnad they need to match Blackburns offer

Agree0 Disagree0

I just hope that he signs for Blackburn today and let us get on with other targets. For some reason we are ignoring his baggage and seem to believe he is some kind of superstar.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers should have just accepted defeat on goodwillie rather than make another bid below the 1 from Blackburn it's making us look bad the press are having a field day with the antics of whyte we should move on and not disclose who we are trying for till it's done n dusted please rangers no more embarrassment :(( steph

Agree0 Disagree0

Quite frankly, this is beyond embarrassing. Here is how this discussion should go. Utd: How much did Blackburn offer? OK. What would you consider a better offer? Done Otherwise, leave it alone and get out of there.

Agree0 Disagree0

True just read it. what an absolute utter joke the club i love have become 5 offers refused 5 *uc*ing offers for one player how many offers in total have been refused now?. all we hear is refused refused refused who is in charge here? is it mr 15 million to spend white. 15 million my arse. 15 million reasons to doubt you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only ourselves to blame, messed about with crappy offers while time ticked by and other teams became interested in him, if we had pounced straight away with a 2 million bid he would be playing in a Rangers top, terrible efforts to get him, very poor business.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look now its up to Goowille if he dosnt want to go to Blackburn and go to Rangers he just has to refuse to go its now up to the player.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Aug 2011 14:50:23
we don't need to match blackburns bid for goodwillie ? Dundee utd wanted 2million so that's what there gonna sell for , if we have to match blackburns bid then mancity could bid 40million for goodwillie then rangers need to pay 40 , they asked for 2 GIVE them 2

Believable3 Unbelievable3

We need to bid whats acceptable to dundee utd there not goin to accept 2 mill now that some1 has bid more.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dundee Utd don't have to accept any of our bids. We could bid £3m cash and they could still turn it down if they wanted. Right now we don't actually know the details of the latest bid.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's a ridiculous statement. Utd is not obligated to hold the line at an 'initial' 2mm ask. If a club bids 2.8mm then thats the new number. Simple as that.

Agree0 Disagree0

We must have had a maximum figure for what we think he is worth and let's be honest £2m was a fair amount. If DU get offered more, good luck to them - now can we move on?

Agree0 Disagree0

In fariness though, if you were Dundee Utd why would you accept a lesser bid from another club once the bidding has reached £2.8 million? If we were selling a player I would expect us to sell to the highest bidder so why should Utd be any different?

If Goodwillie rejected the Blackburn's personal terms and did not want to go there then maybe we could come back with a bid of less than the £2.8million (inc Add ons) that Blackburn have tabled, but that does not look likely. He is being offered 20,000 a week and gets to play in the EPL, and what he sees is us failing to put in an acceptable bid on five separate occasions. Its a no brainer really on what he is likely to do from here.

The romantic notion that he will sign for us because we are his boyhood team is one I have been clinging to through out this saga, but it is looking like we have made a meal of it.

Fact is penny pinching is the reason we have lost out. I could forgive that if we had only put in one bid, but to go back five times like some sort of skinflint moth banging its head against a light bulb without learning any lesson from the previous four times has really annoyed me.

Pull your finger out Mr Whyte, this is getting embarrassing.

stv - dundee reject 5th offer from Rangers for Goodwillie, i honestly cannot believe wot is happenin, its straight forward, just offer the exact same deal that blackburn have offered f***ing absolute p**s take

Believable2 Unbelievable0

LET HIM GO TO BLACKBURN AND GIVE US ALL PEACE. {Ed019's Note - agreed. haha.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why place the same offer as Blackburn? Dundee utd set the price at £2M, nothing mentioned of add ons etc till blackburn gave them.. offer exactly what utd said the asking price was, not a penny more.. If oody wants to come to us he will reject Blackburns offer and Dundee utd will HAVE to accept our offer and let him talk to us.. Its in Goodwillie's hands as to IF he wants to go there or not
My gripe with all this is that our transfer dealings are now being done thru the press, unlike the past where deals were either in place or almost there before they came out, and failed bids/targets leaked out in the press some time after
time to go back to doing things THE RANGERS WAY

Daily Record - Transfer talk

Rangers have cooled their interest in Wesley Verhoek is it just me who thinks David Odonkor must have really impressed? He has/had some bounce games organized for him, hopefully he has impressed because that pace is electrifying.

Also why don't my posts get put up Ed, I think i'm quite realistic lol {Ed019's Note - hopefully he gets a run out against chelsea, hes a high pedigree of player. and it depends, your mibi looking in the wrong place. if it is an opinion then it tends to go to the banter page. only rumours go on the rumours page. if it is a team or starting eleven, it will goto the teams page.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Swansea are set for a sensational swoop to sign French striker David Trezeguet.
The former Juventus star is prepared to snub a move back to his native France for a crack at the Premier League.
The 33-year-old is a free agent following his departure from Spanish side Hercules, who were relegated from La Liga last season, and Swansea have made the first moves to sign him.
Former World Cup winner Trezeguet, who played 71 times for France, scoring 34 goals, saw a move back to Italy with Napoli break down last month.
Swans boss Brendan Rogers is keen to lure a big name to The Liberty Stadium as a statement of intent as they return to the English top-flight for the first time in 28 years.
But the newly-promoted Premier League side could face competition from SPL giants Rangers for Trezeguet's signature.

Id rather go with what we have than sign him. the hemmings lad was the only stand out in pre season yet he will be behind that hasbeen beattie.

Agree0 Disagree0

As good a player he was, it's maybe not the best mindset to have. He may have scored goals for fun 5 years ago.

Think he'd maybe get a shock once he gets booted once or twice.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist is ready to sacrifice Madjid Bougherra to held finance a £4 million move for Wesley Verhoek and David Goodwillie. (Daily Record).

Another scoop for the day late RECORD.

I believe that we will not sign anyone of great value until afetr the Malmo game. We might get Murphy as a gesture because we will missed out on Goodwillie. Verhoek and Juhasz I think will be brought in if we qualify. Lets hope we get past Malmo and get a favourable draw in the last qualifying round.

Does anyone know if we are being allowed to play?
Goian in the second leg?

Billy {Ed019's Note - apparently the goian situation has been passed back from uefa to fifa.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

I thought it was from UEFA to the SFA who have to make the decision.

Agree0 Disagree0

So did I and with liewell having grabbed power at the SFA a hope it is FIFA it goes to absolutely no chance if its down to that cretin {Ed019's Note - yip, sorry guys, meant to say SFA. Heads still a bit tender from the weekend, forgive me.

Agree0 Disagree0

The paranoi is strong within the rangers support at the moment Big Pete running the SFA has got you in a right kufufall. You messed up in the registration of the player because you have amateurs in charge. Live with it and dry your eyes

Agree0 Disagree0

To the Celtic fan who has responded to my original post: there is no paranoia surrounding the SFA within the Rangers fans, as far as I'm aware. Me personally did not know Lawell was running the SFA (obviously a lack of knowledge on my part) but if, as suggested in the papers, the paperwork surrounding the transfer of Goian was complete and the only reason we could not play him in the first leg against Malmo was international clearance, then we should have every right to challenge the decision. Billy

Agree0 Disagree0

He will not be allowed to play as he needs an entry card which has not been issued, and will not get issued in the next week or so. This prevents him from playing. It is what happens when you are not in the EU for real.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know much about Rangers then do you , try reading now and again Lie well is second in command in SFA to Regan was appointed to board on advice of Riley Financial advisor at youve guessed it try reading Leggland2blogspot.com and you might learn something might improve your self-confessed lack of KNOWLEDGE

Agree0 Disagree0

The paranoia is strong did you hear the crack hhha neil lemon has been moaning about refs already you lot use excuses for your failings every season its nothing to do with YOUR JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH YOUR JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH. lets see how long it takes for the big conspiracy to take hold again. by the way zaluska looks the part.

Agree0 Disagree0

And yet he played at the weekend? his work permit and entry card have been granted the issue is over our registration of him on monday. Ally says he has hope, so we can also only hope.

Sky announce that Bolton are want Wiess on loan for the season, guess another one might be gone.
Quite sure if the club is set up correctly for scouting we will have a few more options available have not known about.
More important we support whoever takes the field on Wednesday so we can progress and get a cash injection

Believable7 Unbelievable2

I dont go along with the clamour for Weiss, he was nowhere near consistent enough and his end product was severely lacking.

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt realise Ally was keen on bringing Weiss back?

You f***ing said it mucker. think mr white needs to explain why rangers cant compete with english diddy teams or explain why the bids that are being placed are constantly refused it all seems vvvvv unprofesional. anyway never mind white even if edu is playing on wed just get behind the team troops the team needs our support.

Source bbc

Agree0 Disagree0

Must be on the secret BBC website then

Agree0 Disagree0

Y talk pish theres nuthin on bbc website we could do without bulls**tters we onli want genuine news

Absolute nonsense. The above post was simply just a regurgitation of wishful thinking on the banter page, people suggesting we should offer cash and Fleck for certain deals. So eff off,

Yip no sign of this on the BBC

And you dont do drugs.

Just found out who's been dealing with the transfers at ibrox. The one and only Scrooge Mcduck. No wonder were missing out on targets right, left and centre. So thats us lost out on 3 strikers, Hemed, Miller and now Goodwillie so what garbage are we goni go for because it's got to be well mccoist list of targets. Mcduck has got to stop offering 30p for players or its goni be too late and were goni panic buy on guys we dont really want. YES=Believable NO=Unbelievable

Believable19 Unbelievable12

Hemed - do you know if he was any good? Miller - would only take him back for same price he was sold for (cardiff paid double that). Goodwillie - decent enough but worth £2m+ ? not sure. In my opinion the mighty Glasgow Rangers are correct not to be payin over the odds for ANY player - this is the way ahead so just shut up and support the team. {Ed019's Note - I always thought hemed would have been an average squad player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who is Scrooge McDuck ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its about time we showed some balls in the transfer market and stopped paying over the odds for players, given other clubs our cash.. Edu/Sebo prime examples.... I'm glad we never lined the pockets of the Arabs.... Hemed, mediocre, miller too much for a midas......

Our scouting system needs a boot up the jakksie though..

Keep believing

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah like 1.5 million for Wallace 5 times the first offer?? Wee Eck

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the above and we should not pay over the odds for players - what pains me is the manner in which we go about our business - that is the embarassing part

Agree0 Disagree0

Hemed went to spain for less money. ffs listen theres nearly 6 weeks left in the transfer market. 2mill+ for goodwillie is way to much. miller is 2 faced he was in hairdressers in partic saying he was convinced he would re join gers then he was on sky sayin cardiff only place for me. everyone remain calm rangers dont want another prodan, thern, rosental, sebo, svennson. or would you rather we just sign players for the sake of it. a wee bit of faith get behind the team the gers could pump malmo the first game came to soon, the team know whats needed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Responses to the post here seem positive. Its nice to read after the last few weeks of posters calling for Whyte's head and Ally's resignation. WATP

Anyone any idea when Ness is due back?

I think having him back will be like signing a new player, if McCoist can pluck up courage and drop McCulloch (tho i'd prob still play him in Old Firm games) and Edu (if Turks are offering 2.5m snap their hands off), I think you Ness and Davis in the middle of the park would be outstanding for us.

Also, I'm assuming Hutton has picked up a wee injury as he wasnt on the bench on Sat?

Bazza Bear

PS ED...whats going on with this form, I can only see half what I'm writing

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Try scrollin down b*wbag

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah i agree hutton and ness could be the way to go rather than blocking their progress with 500k mercenaries like Eremenko for kilmarnock.we will never know how good they are if we dont play them

Agree0 Disagree0

IF NESS IS FIT THEN ALLY HAS GOT TO PICK HIM IF HE CANT GET A GAME THEN I WILL HAVE TO DOUBT THE MANAGER, S ABILITY TO PICK A TEAM, BUT THEN AGAIN LOOK WHO HE PICKS IN PLACE OF GREGG WYLED.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree boys. its good to hear bears that want to give these boys a chance. why does all play ortiz on the left when wylde is a better player?. the spaniard is more suited to the right side. edu keeps geting a game and keeps on giving the ball away if he plays in sweden il be gutted. we fleck and hemmings should get there chance this year. hutton and ness are smashing players. there are loads of talented boys at ibrox and if we are to remain debt free we should be bringing these boys on and selling them rather than taking a gamble with signing players.

herald...verhoek interest cooled, working on odonkers fitness hoping he will do, you could not make this up, goodwilie goodye..........

Believable6 Unbelievable8

..... And Goodbye Verhoek and just after the transfer widow closes it'll be Goodbye Odonker (injury will no doubt play up) {Ed047's Note - ahh....ye of little faith

Agree0 Disagree0

This transfer window has been a joke and made rangers look, like total idiots with the ridiculous bids constantly being knocked back then you get players who do actually want to come and rangets just dont make tne effort to get them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol If it wasnt for bad luck, Rangers would have no luck at all

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed the guy had a point we simply cannot afford to pull out a signing (in this case verhoek if we are pulling out that is) on the basis that that a guy (who has never went an entire season without serious injury in like over half decade. Its kinda like backing out the goodwillie deal instead to sign Owen {Ed019's Note - I agree, have always said I doubted Odonkers fitness. But, he is on trial so surely we wont sign him unless he is fit.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm starting to cringe at our dealings now

Agree0 Disagree0

If correct this one would really bother me, here is a player who looks to have something we need [a bit of class] and priced within our range.

Again Whyte has said there is an ADDITIONAL £15m to spend so surely again if McCoist really wants him we pay the £2m plus to get him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Actualy tou could make this up. And jurno's often do just like the mhanky mob does on here. Only time will tell

I cant believe we have people saying its united's fault and we should boy cot the away games . we're starting to sound like septic fans now .

United have every right to hold out for more money .
he is under contract with them . if we wanted him that badly we should have payed the money.

we got 2.5 mil up front and another 3.5 in future payments for danny wilson who only had 12 months on a contract and he only had 1 international cap.

we are getting 3 mil on bougie and he only has 12 months on his contract thats fantastic buisness in our view but we cant slag united for asking for 2 mil for scotlands young player of the year who still has 2 years on his contract. {Ed047's Note - It's always somebody else's fault.

Believable13 Unbelievable1

Why do we persist on telling the world this player or that player is a target then submit an offer which we know will not be accepted rangers knew what dundee united wanted for goodwillie but dithered and now seem to have lost out to the first club to meet united, s valuation of £2 million if we cant afford a player dont bid it just makes us look bad (not to say cheap)

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets put this into context we paid 2.6 million for edu, over 2 million for mcculloch & over 3 million for lafferty as so as the court case was over we should of put up the 2 million asked instead we were then dragged into an auction

Agree0 Disagree0

If you would read leggoland2blogspot.com you maybe get an insight into why people feel the way they do about MR Thompson The SFA and LAWWELL there was no way we were ever getting D.G that had been pre-ordained

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it is peter houston that annoyed people. He greatly influenced goodwillie's decision to go to blackburn. Saying that EPL would be better for him and don't go to glasgow. I think he just doesn't like rangers and doesn't want him to play for them. He covers this up by saying " i'm a glaswegian and i love glasgow?

Agree0 Disagree0

Houston grew up a celtic fan in glasgow but it is a known fact that he hates Lennon and i state hate as he has a strong dislike to him.

and for him trying to push him to england he does not want him to come back and score against his team. if you can get the same money but get him out of your league then thats good buisness for him

New £2.5m was thrown out last night for Roland juhasz - Deal not far away from being struck though.

Talks have stalled with ADO DEN HAAG chairman as he is on holiday until wednesyday - £1.5m was the most recent bid to be rejected.

Ally Mccoist has not given up on David Goodwillie and will make ONE more bid - before the strikers pending move to Blackburn Rovers.

Lets hope this 5TH and FINAL bid, actually meets Dundee UTDs valuation of their striker.

Remember Rangers, its 2M straight up.

Rangers need to forget about Goodwillie and move onto other targets (if he has any)

However should use the £3m from Bougie sale to sign the Hungarian and also up the bid for Verhoek - 2 players who want to sign for Rangers so get them in

I have been listening to the transfer tavern show on Talk sport their Dutch correspondent has just been on to talk about players in Holland who are on the move his word were-" one of the most exciting players at the moment is Wesley Verhoek there are two clubs in for him Rangers and Nottingham Forest. SM has been to see him in Holland twice and they have offered more money than Rangers. It is now up to Wesley to choose between life in Scotland or life in the East Midlands in my opinion (correspondent) Nottingham Forest will be getting a great player" then asked by the presenter "does that mean Forest are in the driving seat" and he said "YES he is looking forward to life under SM"

Believable8 Unbelievable9

Their deal fell through a week or two ago im sure. They were close to agreeing terms i believe but if fell through at that stage. I may be wrong on the specifics but they definitely fell through.
