Has anyone heard anything else regarding Dominic Solanke or is it a no goer.

01 Aug 2018 20:48:30
Davis my opinion this is a non starter, to be honest I don't want anymore loans from Liverpool.

{Ed0333's Note - why?

02 Aug 2018 08:25:58
Kent and ejara look top talent, why would you not want more top talent from liverpool?

02 Aug 2018 09:00:24
Jboy why would you not want more loans from Liverpool if it's going to improve your team? It's worked well for other clubs in the past.

02 Aug 2018 09:04:29
Coldo goss oduwa hyndman ect all loooked top talents at first how did they perform over a season? For me we have more than enough loan signings in place already would be embarrassing to have anymore.

02 Aug 2018 09:54:36
My I did not make myself clear. I jusrt prefer signings for two three or four years brings better stability going forward. I hate idea of someone coming in being a short term star and moving on.
Davis last loaned who truly produced in my opinion. Unless anyone can remind me of anyone else
At end of day I trust the manager and will fully support whatever he does.

i can't see the solanke deal happening purely because woodburn and wilson were both shipped out to championship teams this tells me the so called agreement we have with liverpool is for their 2nd tier of prospects and not the first team fringe players.

02 Aug 2018 10:03:54
Personally i think Goss, Hyndman and Oduwa were not too bad for us, Oduwa probably performing the worst from the three but Hyndman was a good addition, Goss was not too bad.

02 Aug 2018 17:29:22
Totally agree Jboy.

Giving Kent game time over one of our own players like young Middleton doesn't sit well with me.

I wasn't too impressed with Kent in his debut and I've been nothing but impressed with Middleton since he's came into the team so I'd be disappointed to see the young man held back in favour of fulfilling our obligation to Liverpool in helping develop Kent by playing him regularly this season.

Solankie on the other hand is a different beast. He'd instantly come into the league as probably the top striker, with Dembele as the only argument therefore if we could get him I would. Similar to the loan signings of Keane and Bellamy that Celtic pulled off a good few years ago. Couldn't afford the fee or wages to secure the player long term but the opportunity to get such a class of player on loan was too good to pass up.

02 Aug 2018 18:31:41
I'd be more worried if these loan signings meant nothing coming through from our youth setup, Gerrard though obviously likes mccrorie, Middleton, Rudden and a fair few others getting their chance to go gain experience at other clubs. Declan John was initially a loan signing and worked out well, consistent and understated - think he will be a good addition to back 4 when fit with Flanagan on the right.

I would prefer a perm signing over solanke though, there is quality out there for affordable price - someone of the Jelavic mould.

Ed I don’t wish us to be over run with long verpool loanees. However I support the manager
Also feel Solanke not prolific enough.
I’d like Lafferty plus buy CH and mayb RB or LB if Flanagan moves over.

{Ed0333's Note - OMG if you lot don’t want Solanke and you play in a league that’s let’s just say not competitive what hope does he have in the Premiership? I’m with you Jboy I’m not sure there’s a lot of goals in him to be honest but he wouldn’t be a bad shout for you lot I’m sure he’d get a few goals and valuable experience for us. Win win for everyone.

Hearts source says £500k should be close re what he's heard with regards to Lafferty deal.

01 Aug 2018 14:19:49
The fact that Laff went into the meeting and left without submitting a formal transfer request suggests that they will probably drop his valuation and accept a bid, i get the feeling if laff or his agent didn't like what they were hearing they would have submitted and dug their heels.

01 Aug 2018 14:24:36
Just read that Hearts are willing to let him go for around 600k. The club aren't rushing to up their bid, let's face it. The guy would be back up, so the club are right not to be rushing in with a new bid. Hearts will do business for 400k in a week or 2, they need the money.

01 Aug 2018 15:19:15
Pay about 600k for Kyle I honestly believe he is far better option than waggy at 7 million. Saggy sell on covers Kyle fee. Be interesting to see what wagged wage will be when he moves. I bet higher than anyone at old firm.

01 Aug 2018 18:38:05
l think Rangers are doing the right thing with there bids .
Because l would want to give any club in Scotland nothing f**k them
they have done it to us for years.

01 Aug 2018 18:50:30
I actually have a lot of time for Hearts we've always had a good relationship with them.

01 Aug 2018 21:23:11
No we don’t have a good relationship with hearts.

They hate us with a passion. I remember my first visit to tynecastle. I thought Edinburgh proddies are alright but boy was I wrong. That was 20 years ago.

Where were our pals from the east when Scottish football pumped us?

01 Aug 2018 21:29:36
Remind me how they voted in 2012 STB2012 mate?

01 Aug 2018 21:46:07
Break the bank and sign him
Say £200?

01 Aug 2018 22:40:09
They hate us like the rest and tryed tae destroy us like the rest and there manager doesn't like us either. I don't like us giving Scottish clubs our money.

02 Aug 2018 00:24:05
Island Celt.

You’ve a cheek to joke about funds.

Your club has spent next to nothing, before you mention Edouard, bought for 8m and only bid once Armstrong was sold for 7m.

You’ve loaned Patrick Roberts for 3 years straight and now there is talk of a 4th year in a row? What an absolute embarrassment 😂😂 imagine loaning a player for 4 years. Absolute cringe.

Your club has always had a biscuit tin mentality and it always will. Only reason you’re this far ahead of because of our clubs financial mismanagement.

02 Aug 2018 01:26:08
Lafferty is valued at £750k by Hearts, we value him at £200k due to contract situation.
I believe a deal will be agreed around £400k with £100k add ons or Lee Wallace as a make weight.
This is just my opinion though unfortunately, I think the Strip sale set back won’t have helped but if we can book place in 3rd qualifying round coupled with potential Waggy cash I’m sure we will get this over the line.

02 Aug 2018 07:23:14
I can't see Wallace going to hearts he's on too much money say 15 grand most hearts would pay is about 3 grand.

02 Aug 2018 08:42:36
Agree. I feel Wallace will cost us a payoff in full particularly due to his dispute with us.
