After watching that shambles I hear £80 hike in season tickets. only thing good is Derek Mcinnes will be the new manager next season.

01 Feb 2017 22:49:17
Hope no. On both counts.

01 Feb 2017 22:50:33
Mciness? Is that good news

01 Feb 2017 22:47:09
@clydebank WB - tell me why McInnes coming in is any good considering he's managing an Aberdeen side not any better than Rangers and he's had 4 years to build a side for he SPFL?

01 Feb 2017 23:14:03
Derek mcinnes nowhere near good enough to be our manager!

01 Feb 2017 23:38:24
Where are you grabbing that "information" from?

01 Feb 2017 23:39:25
Hearts had 9 new players and have gelled better than our lo.t surely warburton Could've scouted better defender than Kiernan out there. obviously doesn't think we don't need to tell it all really on borrowed time me thinks if he don't dro a few numptys

02 Feb 2017 01:27:45
Appointing McInnes as successor to Warburton would show no ambition whatsoever and wouldn't motivate people to buy season tickets!

We need a quality manager supported with some serious investment!

02 Feb 2017 06:36:00
£80 = £4m approx 50,000 season tickets. That would pay for the lost revenue from sports direct, roughly.

Pains me to say we were a shambles last night. two problem area never addressed DM and CD.

02 Feb 2017 06:42:39
Tom USA totally agree, they made a statement bringing in Rodgers now it's time for us to make a statement or al tell you this they will whitewash us and do ten in a row

02 Feb 2017 06:54:07
Tell me all you keyboard wannabe managers who you guys suggest should be next manager if warbs gets his p45?
It appears no player or manager is good enough for this great club according to some of you. So please share your wisdom and within the tight restrictions of a minimal financial budget.

02 Feb 2017 06:18:35
Who would be your choice for new rangers manager, TOMUSA?

02 Feb 2017 08:37:24
Blueger ., you are on fantasy land if we invest we get champions league football are some of yous that daft, they transfer windows go and the Celtic strengthen the further we fall back. That was embarrasing last night. We need to get debt to bring in money in the long run end of. We need a new team an the Dave King supporters should hang there heads in shame trusting this tax crook with his lies.

02 feb 2017 08:55:47
supercooper, big stubbs looking for a job, 2 cup finals in same season from the championship.

02 Feb 2017 09:48:54
Hi guy's i have always backed MW and stuck up for him but no more, if Kiernan and Halliday are always playing badly and giving away goals directly from mistakes then why is he playing them? if Dodoo never gets a game how is he going to get match fit, he is a very good player when match fit, down here he is well known and a few clubs wanted him, i think until this Mike Ashley mess is sorted nobody will invest, if MW leaves who would be a good replacement?

02 Feb 2017 10:07:39
if our budget is the same for this summer and our manager is the same then we deserve what happens. Laughing stock of Britain .

02 Feb 2017 10:20:03
I agree Manchester dave! Halliday and keirnans awful decision making is unbelievable and I'm afraid wes''s decisions last night left me baffled also! Terrible display of goalkeeping (although I do concede he has been one of our best players this season)

For Warburton to remove hyndman (our best player by a mile) last night instead of Halliday showed either a complete lack of balls or just pure ignorance! Then he takes off toral (probably our 2nd best player)
The guy needs to go as simple as that!

And I hope we don't get any more people on here saying "Jamie walker! Not good enough! " "Sam nicholson not good enough " cause on last night's showing Jamie walker tore us to shreds and then even had the audacity to start showboating with backheels and flicks!

That was poor beyond belief!

02 Feb 2017 11:24:07
I for one have always thought we should stick by MW philosophy but not any more, times up he must go. He's in way over his head the job is far too big for him. To come out baffled and not know what went wrong is embaressing. You are manager of Rangers Football Club!

Does anyone on here think that sort of gutless display would have been tolerated under WS, AMcL or GS? Each one of them would have ripped that squad apart after the game not defended them. Players would have been told they will never wear the jersey again. I'm not saying that any of these people are our answer as we cannot keep going back and hoping they will save us but we need someone who can put the fear into players and make these imposters realise what it takes to be a Rangers players.

Theres no tactical influence, there's no plan b, he takes of Waghorn and Hyndman our 2 players most likely to score a 2nd. He's completely lost its like he makes his plans before the game and sticks to them he cannot adjust.

I would rather see BF in the dug out as at least he would bring so fight to the squad and instil an impression of what it takes to be part of this club. I see nothing to indicate that continuing with MW at the helm is in anyway beneficial to Rangers. None of his transfers have any sell on value what so ever.

Best thing MW could do would be to walk himself and save our cash strapped club the money of having to terminate his contract if he has any respect for us as this is not good enough.

02 Feb 2017 13:25:15
Well said blue stu

02 Feb 2017 19:51:49
2 laudrups for me

02 Feb 2017 20:01:55
Supercoopereleven, I supported Warburton's appointment and would still like him to succeed but I am genuinely struggling when I see Halliday and Kiernan picked week after week when they are serial non performers. I also would not have Wallace as captain and his performances recently cause me to question who should be in the side.

I would not have Weir as assistant, he brings nothing to the Club other than that he was a Rangers player but the consistent failure of our defence and the apparent lack of improvement questions what he is doing and he is certainly failing to motivate the team.

I also do not believe that it is as simple as bringing in a new manager since any manager we appoint needs to be given a serious transfer budget and I genuinely don't see that coming from King.

might be tempted to replace Weir with Ferguson in the hope that he would actually instil what it means to play for Rangers in this bunch of failures but I would much rather see a new investor with his own man. If it was me then I would want Souness back in the fold or someone like John Terry as player manager with a good young Scottish Manager as his Assistant.

Without the investment however where you have to depend on what we have just now we are wasting our time no matter who comes in.

02 Feb 2017 20:39:38
Blueger 69, what is angering most of us is that Warburton sticks with Kiernan and Halliday week in, week out and neither of them are any good. Kiernan is a bomb scare and has at least one mistake in him every game! Halliday, if he wasn't a Rangers supporter, he would be crucified. He is simply woeful. There is not one positive thing I can say about him.

Just to add to the farce that we have, Wallace is not and never will be captain material. He does not have one ounce of leadership quality.

I am not asking for a new manager but I am asking for Warburton to show some balls, drop Kiernan and Halliday, (and not just on to the bench), and give some other players a chance and give Miller the captaincy since at least he shows some fight and enthusiasm.

02 Feb 2017 22:28:16
@bluestu89 - BF! WTF! He's not exactly doing a great job at Clyde. Some posters on here are losing the plot.

03 Feb 2017 08:45:01
UnionJack - "I would rather see" doesn't mean I want lol. The following words I used "at least he would" pretty much sums up what I meant lol. He couldn't be any worse than the fraud we have just now and at least he would give the players a boot up the rear.

03 Feb 2017 12:21:58
I have always thought that warburton with the right investment will be a really good manager but, I am starting to doubt that myself.

ive always had his back but to not get in better defenders when since last season that's bee our main problem area.

other than Kiernan I wouldn't single anyone out as all of them where mince rotten last night.
but Kiernan for me is honestly worse than a man down.

to cover our appauling defence we need 4 in the middle its that simple but warbs won't change his tactics and to me this means he doesn't really know what he is doing in the Scottish game because steve wonder could see we needed numbers in the middle of the park as they where winning every second ball.

03 Feb 2017 12:28:58
thing is we can't get a manager in with the level of experience that we need as we have no money to pay him and also no warchest for him to buy players.

03 Feb 2017 16:18:06
So strip Wallace of the captaincy then drop him, sack the management, bring sourness back who left us at a critical time in the season to go to Liverpool and bring John terry in as player manager, aye nae bother TOMUSA.

01 Feb 2017 21:23:27
It gives me no pleasure to say it, but I was slated for being negative when I said the two wins over Motherwell was just papering over the cracks. After tonight, I rest my case.

The cracks have now caused a total collapse and it really is time for the manager to go. His selections, tactics, methodology, are deadly poor, he inspires nothing but panic, he takes off our best player, he watches on as his wee favourites disgrace the Rangers jersey, how long can this go on?

Maybe there was friction between him and DK, and with any luck it will lead to changes in the dugout. And looking at that defence, Weir is in danger of doing a McCoist and losing all his esteem among the support because this is the worst I can remember in 58 years.

01 Feb 2017 22:30:13
I'm going to throw my hat in to be rangers new defensive midfielder, not played in 5 years and weighing in at 19 stone, I still fancy myself to have more talent in my pinky toe than Halliday has is his whole body, the quicker he is sold the better

01 Feb 2017 22:39:32
I agree but my fear is how do we finance a change of manager no money but that tonight was a disgrace

01 Feb 2017 23:12:35
Unless he resigns thinkaboutit mate we can't afford to sack him

01 Feb 2017 23:12:35
Unless he resigns thinkaboutit mate we can't afford to sack him

01 Feb 2017 22:48:57
@wee-ecky - so the rubbish we had to endure under Ally was better than this? Behave yourself.

01 Feb 2017 23:31:27
Then force his resignation! Tell him he's no longer in charge of team selection, tell him Murty is being promoted to Head Coach and will in future take training, tell him he will now be in charge of all admin, get Jimmy Bell to 'forget' his kit! Just get shot of him!

02 Feb 2017 04:32:06
Nothing could be worse than what we saw under McCoist but Warburton's credibility is fast disappearing when he point blank refuses to drop Kiernan and Halliday and keeps Wallace as captain!

02 Feb 2017 06:28:56
Finance a new manager. let dave king take the team he can't do any bloody worse can he

02 Feb 2017 04:15:22
Jack Union as far as the defence goes, and I was referring to the defence, then tonight it probably was worse.

02 Feb 2017 20:00:02
Just as bad as we ever were under mccoist! The nice football thing people talk about is nonsense we don't play nice football yes we have a lot of possesion but there's a difference from that to good football. There's no penetration or cutting teams open all our possesion is among the back 4 n goalkeeper we get to halfway n go back the way were depressing to watch n I'm sick of it

02 Feb 2017 22:32:51
@bigblueayr - the same Mccoist that couldn't get us out the Championship? The same Mccoist that wasted thousands on overpaid numpties? The same Mccoist that didn't do ' walking away '? The same Mccoist that left the playing squad in a mess? I can keep going on if you like?

03 Feb 2017 12:32:29
bring back moshni!
ten times the player Kiernan is and the bad thing is i'm not even joking.

he did a lot of silly stuff but he was a decent defender.

03 Feb 2017 18:09:36
Union, what about the overpaid numerics Warburton has brought in, senderos Barton halliday keirnan, I can go on to if u like? They will also be on a lot higher wage, P. s that Warburton team from last year wouldn't have got out of championship either if the hearts team from year before were in it. Take your blue tinted specs off n realise Warburtons ruining us

01 Feb 2017 22:00:54
No leadership no fight no defence and a manager who takes our best player of yet he doesn't know what happened well Mr warburton this is what your about too learn is your fired.

01 Feb 2017 23:35:02
When a manager admits he doesn't know what has happened that's usually the end. We've all seen this before, it means he has given up. There must be something about performance in his contract, something about competence, that can be invoked. Surely admitting that you've no idea should be enough.

02 Feb 2017 01:30:35
The way he continues to play Kiernan and Halliday I am beginning to think that there must be something in his contract that says he must play this pair of wasters.

03 Feb 2017 12:34:23
if he keeps playing this silly formation and playing Kiernan then for me I can't stand by him regardless if we finish second in the league and that's me done a complete 180 on that.

01 Feb 2017 21:59:10
Warburton doesn't have a clue! Hyndman and waghorn the only players who looked like they could do something taken off while Halliday stays on to give the ball away time after time! Nearly every hearts goal was gifted to them aswell! Embarrasing!

01 Feb 2017 22:23:58
1 of the worst performances Ave seen in years! How can Kiernan and Halliday still be wearing a Rangers top is beyond me! To take the best player off the park at 2-1 is a f. g mistery! N too tap it all aff the managers NAW Got a clue what day it is never mind his team selection! Time to go Warburton!

01 Feb 2017 22:41:15
Paula 98
I thought Waghorn was poor hardly went past anyone poor crosses as well, Miller got no service from the wings and had to go looking for the ball!

02 Feb 2017 06:17:54
Waghorn was garbage, for the amount of times he got the ball in dangerous areas he did very little with it

02 Feb 2017 09:52:02
I thought Waghorn was coming onto a game as the first half went on.

03 Feb 2017 12:49:16
wagnhorn was worse than a man down and is never e is a through the middle type guy and warbs insists on playing him out there when we have forrester who loves to run past people and is a natural winger.

halliday was shocking last night but I still think he is a good player when played in an attacking position.

why don't we pack the midfield with talent like windass Hyndman toral and forrester and have two strikers up front in waggy and miller.

cant undertsnad our manager the now as to why he sticks with players playing badly

03 Feb 2017 13:17:59
Waghorn. no right foot. on right wing. Mackay no left foot. on left wing. puzzler that. As for blaming Kiernan for everything. that's the easy thing to do.1st goal maybe. but even that was Wallace in Left Back position being caught sleeping at free kick. Other 3 were faults of Tav of Fods and of Halliday.

The only reason Halliday Kiernan etc keep their place, is that there is no alternative. Wallace was abysmal last night. as he's been all season. but who do you bring in? We've no money. As for getting rid of warbs. who do you get who is better. he's trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. and until the Board find some money. competing for 2nd will be our level

01 Feb 2017 21:48:16
no fight no spirit and no class. Hyndman only one who looks like a player and he'll be going back in few months. Fod can't be blamed. Shocking defence in front of him he must be wonder what error going to come next.

If MW says once more about learning lesson. Didn't control the ball and usual dross. It clear to everyone his team are poor. Don't look like we would score if we played on till Saturday.

01 Feb 2017 21:31:58
Same old same old MW same poor team selection and subs like for like. the man just can't change a game. Haliday asking for ball and losing it with out touching it. Kiernan leaving his man and being attracted to ball. Think it's time for a change.

01 Feb 2017 21:54:31
Halliday I don't care if he's from the Copland road a don't care if he's a die hard fan, he's not a Rangers class of a player but what is its down to investment, terry butcher got it right where's the 30 million.

01 Feb 2017 21:57:16
paul Murray was in the stand he was in shock As wel.. Wonder if he speaks to King after this shock.

01 Feb 2017 22:12:42
Massive change required by the board. Back him or sack him. Either way this evolves massive investment.

02 Feb 2017 04:38:37
We won't be able to bring in players now until the summer and it is not beyond the realms of possibility that we will fail to qualify for Europe.

There is no character in that team, no fight, no will to win and in general terms we have a team stacked full of failures.

Just to add to the pantomime we have a captain with no leadership qualities and even less ability to inspire those around him.

We suffer Halliday and Kiernan week in week out and the only one that seems to rate them is Warburton.

and. what exactly does David Weir contribute?

01 Feb 2017 21:12:34
Sorry on for my 2nd rant of the night. Can Warburton please pick up his P45. Totally out his depth. Like him his defence are an embarassment. His decisions are quite simply incredible. Kiernon Halliday he must b on drugs not to realise

{Ed033's Note - There has been a large volume of posts after tonights game saying Warburton must go.

01 Feb 2017 21:38:23
Ive been watching Rangers for 30yr and that 2nd half has to be up there with one of the worse displays I've ever witnessed

01 Feb 2017 21:49:47
I hope warbs and weir read this because if you don't resign now and take that poor excuse of a team with you, excluding a few players, then 50k fans will tell you to do one on saturday. Save yourself the humiliation and go now. Wallace never a rangers captain!

01 Feb 2017 22:04:51
worse performance in a long time something needs to change to get second place

01 Feb 2017 22:07:14
Warbuton must stay.

01 Feb 2017 22:04:24
what a lot of absolute Garbo having to watch this again how long are going to keep Warburton his substitutes are baffling he's well out his depth wee need a hole new team built around mckay and a manager who knows what he's doing sorry for being so harsh but its so hard to watch.

01 Feb 2017 21:05:02
I'm convinced that MW makes his substitution choices before the game and then sticks to it. Because that is the only explanation for Hyndman coming off and Toral staying on.

01 Feb 2017 21:25:37
I think it's his last game

01 Feb 2017 21:30:05
Joey Barton was right about Halliday and warbuton. Embarrasing total embarrasing, Get frank de boer in if we get investment if we don't bring in Derek mcinnes.

01 Feb 2017 21:37:45
Absolutely baffled!

01 Feb 2017 21:39:59
He does parky he said that in interview earlier in season all subs are predetermined basically guy could get a hattrick n get hook n guy having a howler stays on. he's a joke!

01 Feb 2017 21:40:47
Has to be his last. To think there was people on hear sticking up for him🙈!

01 Feb 2017 22:20:47
He really does now appear really out his depth at this level, I do understand where we are at this moment in time with very little money but his recruitment this season has been embarrassing, and as for Sir Davie Weir what exactly does he do in training with our central defenders, this is the most disjointed Rangers team I have ever seen.

I still honesty believe that we have the makings of a decent team if we only had a manager who could change things when required and in my opinion it is not Warburton who can take us forward, great manager in the championship but clearly out his depth now, and us beating Celtic in the cup last season was probably the worst thing that has happened to us, it made us look a lot better than we actually are

02 Feb 2017 08:24:13
Warburton can take Rangers no further after this display and surely this must be one of the worst Rangers defences we have seen for a long time as Hearts ran them ragged and it hurts to say but at 4-1 we got off lightly.
We were out fought tactically, and it was like watching Men against boys.

31 Jan 2017 23:10:53
Niall mcginn former celtic player could be joining us for next season free transfer

01 Feb 2017 11:24:56
Think the signing of mcginn would depend on our budget. if we can get our merchandise money and investment this year i would not be looking too sign him. if we are as we are at the moment sinigning him wouldn't make us any worse.

01 Feb 2017 11:45:34
Nonsense. He's utter pish!

01 Feb 2017 13:26:03
He's short, he's thin, he would knock your Ballocks in, he's niall mcginn he's niall mcginn

01 Feb 2017 17:31:51
Quality player but too old a think.

Also huge huge celtic fan from what the paper chat has said?

we should be looking at youth not players like that

01 Feb 2017 17:43:08
He is a Celtic fan and an r. c, but that shouldn't matter anymore, it doesn't bother me, maybe if I was 15 yrs younger but not now

I think if he was 15 years younger maybe and the fact he is a Celtic fan and Catholic doesn't matter. Anyone agree lol

01 Feb 2017 18:23:09
No chance barrymiddleton! Where did you pluck that from mate?

31 Jan 2017 23:10:53
Niall mcginn former celtic player could be joining us for next season free transfer

01 Feb 2017 08:05:19
Has done well for Aberdeen

01 Feb 2017 08:44:55
Not good enough simples we have got to aim higher

01 Feb 2017 08:57:49
Lol deluded

01 Feb 2017 11:37:31
Kenny McLean or Graeme Shinnie and at a push Johnny Hayes are the only players from Aberdeen that I would like the Gers to sign but of course it would come down to the budget at the end of the day and I wouldn't hold my breath on any of those players coming in

01 Feb 2017 13:38:52
MCFEC what about Rooney, Jack and Logan - 3 established Premier League players. All better than what we have in our squad in those positions (in my opinion)

01 Feb 2017 16:07:40
Actually forgot about Shay Logan so that is a fair point. Rooney would not be one i would go for and I've got a couple of Aberdeen supporting mates who I'm sure would love Ryan Jack to come to us cause they sure don't want him up there.

01 Feb 2017 16:17:35
Wouldn't take anything from the sheep.

01 Feb 2017 17:23:42
Take shinnie very hard working versatile player age on his side shame he just signed on long term with the sheep

01 Feb 2017 17:41:27
i would take hayes - he's rapid and always a standout for them.

could be an able replacement if someone bids for wee barrie

01 Feb 2017 22:19:49
B16jk - if someone bids
