Torsten Frings will join Rangers on a one year deal over the next week. Although 34 years years old this guy still has the quality to run games.

I did some digging . . found the said twitter account (in German) . . but after google translating, it came up with "fring for Scotland? glasgow rangers likely to change!" . . it comes from a twitter account named worum.org . . . so i checked out worum.org (as u do) hit it on google translate, and apparently its the biggest unofficial Werder Bremen community on the web (so they say) . . so its a bit like our rangersmedia or followfollow.com
So, to clarify . . its their own fans that are saying he's coming here . . I read a few of their posts after the comment in worum.org . . one of which made me giggle . . .

My wee cousin is on his way to ayia napa and who was also going there. .only david goodwillie and my cuz bein a fellow bear only asked what every bear wants to know. .are you joining rangers and david goodwillies response was he wasnt joining us because apparently we don't want him. .this may be to put my cousin off from asking anymore questions but this is 100% genuine. .I post on the rangers page all the time but never with genuine gossip just usually having a joke and a laugh but this is for once transfer related rumours from me. .

i believe you because goodwillie is friends with my mate and he goes to aya napa nearly every year (goodwillie) so i believe ye but my mates is under the impression he will be with rangers next year he is a rangers fan 100% and its all down to rangers

This could be true as my mate from work has met goodwillie in aya napa but this was about 5 years ago. My mate says he is def a gers fan. The fact that rangers had 2 bids for him rejected for him in January suggests we do rate him though.

Seriously, why lie? Are you playing football manager? He is under a part owned contract with Palermo and Goilas and Fiorentina/Roma/AC Milan all want to sign him, Fiorentina also bidded 4.5m last year and got rejected so keep your nonsense to yourself

I am starting to believe that this Petric signing is true. The price and exactly when it will happen I don't pretend to know I would guestimate £3.5m but as Croatia play Georgia on Friday night I doubt he will be excused to attend signing talks - I think theres a 5 day rule for joining up with International squads
