Just been told of a reliable source that Gerrard has signed on a 3 year deal and will take over on 1st of June and has been given 25 million to go to war with only reason he took so long is because he wanted the proof of this funding which has now been discussed with Gerrard should be public soon people.

01 May 2018 20:00:17
Very much hope u r right. but where is that level of cash for players coming from? And does that include getting duds off the wage bill?

01 May 2018 20:00:31
Gerrard himself said live on tv just an hour ago that initial talks had been positive and they will return for more talks on Thursday

01 May 2018 20:05:03
He told btsport he had talks and will be back up in glasgow thursday for more

01 May 2018 20:08:03
Really can’t see us giving a rookie manager £25 million to spend mate, I just don’t believe that

01 May 2018 20:12:37
I don't like this he's got x amount to spend so other clubs can rip us off anyway £25 million is Not enough

01 May 2018 20:23:48
In all fairness lads, he was always going to say there have been talks. He’s not going to announce himself on BT Sport. The club will do that officially when everything is in place and he is actually in the country for press release.

01 May 2018 20:40:30
Fingers crossed he bring super frankie lampsrd with him lol

01 May 2018 20:47:40
Just talking to same friend who told me about Docherty and Cummings signings.
Reckons an approach was made today for Martin Skirtle

01 May 2018 20:49:26
Listen people there is a Chinese consortium coming in and
Gerrard will pen a 4 year contract nobody knows how much he will get to spend and the more he gets rid of the more he will have and the wage bill will be with player that deserve it and Gary lineker just slipped up there Steven Gerrard is our new manager so fans let's get behind him when he starts and in the mean time jj and jn let's get behind them on sat buzzzinggggg

01 May 2018 21:06:42
He won't get £25mill

01 May 2018 21:08:40
All a know is major investment is coming in this summer this is where the 25 millions coming from .

01 May 2018 21:09:19
Only fools and horses posting rumours again?

01 May 2018 21:14:11
Rite lads a bit of fun so who do use think will be his first signing and don't say shagger or arfield am going with Daniel sturrage

01 May 2018 21:36:54
I think it's now clear from SG response that he will be our next manager.

Whilst he wouldn't be my first choice at this stage of our rebuild, purely from the experience point of view. He will bring so much more to rangers fc in terms of stature, respect and commercially could be great.

Let's hope he gets the backing that allows him to do his job properly.

I for one am crying out for my next rangers hero, it's been far too long, with too many imposters.

01 May 2018 21:42:32
Sturridge? Behave yourselves

01 May 2018 22:02:55
25mill is believable is all the rumours about incoming investors r true let’s get Rooney tae sort oot that idiot broon

01 May 2018 22:03:21
I can confirm that David King has personally quaranteed £25 million of investment, is part of the £30 million that he originally quaranteed, and he is already in the process of contacting the South African revenue to let them know that he would like to move some undeclared income out of the country, is a mere formality, just paperwork, according to Mr King

01 May 2018 22:17:52
Moving the money to buy £11m worth of shares.

01 May 2018 22:21:56
Highly doubt Dave king personally has that level of wealth. The investment will be coming from elsewhere

01 May 2018 22:56:27
We all know that SG will be our next manager and that the job would only have been agreed on the basis of a substantial amount of money being made available to him. I can't see him agreeing terms to work with the present standard of players at the club. This can only be a good thing if it turns out to be true.

01 May 2018 23:44:22
Only thing is we know the club are trying to sell season tickets and every season they try to sell something to us fans or say certain things to make us want to renew so if there was big investors coming would it not of been a better time to announce that then when they first went on sell? If it was true I'm Just thinking why would they rather wait until end of season to announce it?

02 May 2018 00:07:15
Daniel sturridge and rooney are both on over 100 a grand a week if we're gony chuck names about let's be realistic at least

02 May 2018 00:08:13
Danny Sturridge are you kidding? He gets like 100k per week? Be serious mate Chinese investors will go to England not Scotland

02 May 2018 00:13:51
25 million not enormous amount even in Scottish game. If selling off duds is over and above he may total 32-35 million. If spent properly, get The Goalie back proper CH etc. We may have a team.

02 May 2018 05:58:47
I think Torres is out of contract could be a shout

02 May 2018 07:42:22
I presume from all your other rumours posts Op, that Mike Ashley is coming into bankroll a whole new team for Gérard too? Lol

02 May 2018 09:09:28
"he is already in the process of contacting the South African revenue to let them know that he would like to move some undeclared income out of the country"

"undeclared income" Good luck with that!

01 May 2018 18:09:26
saying gerrard will come clean tonight when interviewed by bt sport pundits 7 pm. how true it is will find out soon

01 May 2018 20:12:57
Well he's been interviewed on BT sports and only confirmed talks are on going and nothing set in stone. Still have my doubts he'll sign.

01 May 2018 20:21:14
Struth. aye ok! Guy could nae say it with a straight face. It’s done!

01 May 2018 20:36:56
Got to agree with colter, "am your new boss Gers" was ripping fae him!

01 May 2018 21:23:50
I work for the park group and Douglas Park has sold two businesses in North America and Canada and has got an investor who is the governor of the Royal Bank of Canada on board and apparently there is 30m dollars on the table. And with the money that's been brought in from the sale going to the club with park getting shares of king which he has to give up

01 May 2018 22:01:49
Hahaha, you just had to look at Stevie G's demeanor and body language to know that he will be announced as manager after he has finished his BT commitments later this week, everyman and his dog from the dark side have tried to dissuade him but to no avail, it's very strange that all these so called members of the football establishment don't want Rangers to challenge Celtic in any way, they seem to think it's better for Scottish football to have just one dominant team,

01 May 2018 22:35:29
Besty. the panel all knew. lineker was dropping one liners all over the shop. I mean it was supposed to be about real and Bayern, but turned into the Rangers show😁

01 May 2018 17:30:30
Gerrard has agreed a 3 year deal beginning 1st June. This has come from a reliable twitter source est consultancy. He will assess the squad from afar to outline a transfer strategy.
Don’t know about anyone else but this could be the start of something big.
I’d assume he will be given a considerable transfer kitty to enhance the squad along with bosmans. Great news bears!

01 May 2018 20:29:44
Hard to believe but i'm a positive person and think there is truth in it. I think SG will be our manager and he would not sign unless good funds are available. I think King would go that extra mile to ensure the backing was there for Gerard since he has a soft spot for Liverpool and probably something on a personal level too (friend) .
I also think 25million would be more than enough to pull us out the whole we are now in. Remember Celtic took a gamble with Deila b4 pulling their finger oot and getting Rodgers, maybe its Kings turn to get the finger oot and try to compete now since the biscuit tin days obviously hasn't worked.
Maybe Rodgers will be away next year too just to make it a wee bit easier for us!

01 May 2018 20:51:23
Rodgers team are c_ _ p look what happened to them in Europe. I think we will a lot better next season and take points of them.

01 May 2018 17:14:27
Daily star reporting Gerrard has agreed and McAllister no2.

02 May 2018 00:27:18
Would love Mcallister as no. 2. Great football brain.

01 May 2018 17:07:09
Just seen a tweet from Big mouth Sutton saying he can't wait for champions league coverage to start 7pm saying Stevie G might have some news . Sounds omnimous coming from him maybe I am just at the stage expecting the worse .

02 May 2018 00:29:41
You really give a damn what Sutton says? God he would say Union Jack was green.

01 May 2018 10:07:54
Murty has gone. don’t blame him the way he has been treated. job too big for him but he tried his best after being thrown to the wolves. we have lost a good u20’s coach now. hope he is ok mentally after what’s been said in press about his mind set after game Sunday.

01 May 2018 11:09:30
yes - wish him all the best for the future. Was never the right man for the job, but that's not his fault. the board really needs to look at itself for the carry on since appointing Pedro. The lack of transparency and comment from them is poor.

01 May 2018 11:12:11
Maybe he will get his old job back Bluey. He deserves that at least, it was his boys that won the cup yesterday.

01 May 2018 11:12:26
He was at the under 17s last nite and he looked fine

01 May 2018 11:13:34
Totally agree blue nose. I said to my old man that the outcome would be that we would lose a good coach. The job was too big for him, plus the players owe him a huge apology. Not his fault and he tried his best. Hopefully he moves on to a good job somewhere.

01 May 2018 11:22:14
The guy was hung out to dry, and undermined continually by the board before big games. His only mistake I see was taking the Job on.
The DOF and the board seem to be walking away from all this unscathed, the job was not too big for him, it’s the board thinking they are to big for there boots

01 May 2018 11:31:12
I am sure Murty didn't realise the magnitude of the job unfortunately. I still can't buy into the fact Celtic are so far ahead especially on the back of the way Hibs and Hearts ran then ragged and Kilmarnock beat them. Aberdeen seem to have the same mental block when they encounter Celtic as us. Gerrard may not be the best option but can't see what is so worth the risk.

01 May 2018 11:32:19
Why would he return to the under 20s after the way he’s been treated. Our board are a disgrace. No wonder we’re a laughing stock.

01 May 2018 11:36:33
He will find another job now, no way will he continue on with us in any copasity after how he has been treated. Underminded and disrespected by the men in power. The same men who put trust and faith in him when no one else was intrested. Cheap option and now a scape goat. There is no wonder the others call us Gullibillies. Big Dave and his gang will yet again go on a positivity spin as they always do to ensure they get the season ticket money rolling in. They care for none of us, just our hard earned. i'm fed up. Steven Gerrard, they need to do better than that for this years spin. At least last year he promised us all the season ticket money as player investment. Gerrard will hopefully custard pie us. I have no understanding how some of us are excited by this prospect. DO ANY OF YOU REMEMBER JOHN BARNES? Jesus at least he had Kenny Dalglish behind the scenes and that wasnt enough it was a massive gamble and it was and still is the catalyst for one of the greatest backpages in sports history. Super caley go balistic celtic are attrotious. We are heading for disaster with this team and that appointment.

01 May 2018 11:38:17
Have to agree, the guy gave his all and I wish him all the best in the future. He took on a job at a time where no1 really wanted it and gave it his all, was undermined by the club and a few senior players (who need to stand up and be counted imo) .

Our youth setup will be poorer without guys like Murty! I hope he goes on to have success elsewhere now.

01 May 2018 11:56:23
Sorry but have to disagree, the under 20’s form has never been so good and the under 17’s won the cup last night against celtic. He was a good guy when things are going well it was fine but when the going got tough he didn’t have what it took to fire the squad up for the games and ultimately his lack of any apparent tactics or ability to change a game not going our way was plain to see. How can you play 4-3-3 every week and expect results, we aren’t Barcelona we can’t do that. The systems need to be changeable on who we play, don’t buy this crap we are Rangers others will change for us, nobody is scared to play us now so we must adapt and bring that back ourselves. As for Gerrard, my biggest point would be who else? Who else do you want/ trust to do a job. because barring Walter or Sir Alex out of retirement which is never going to happen there really isn’t many coaches out there on our budget with a proven track record.

01 May 2018 11:58:26
I really feel for Murty, as all have said thrown to the wolves the boards treatment of the man have been nothing short of disgraceful. I also noted in his last statement that he said he wanted the job and that the squad of players weren't his. which makes you think even in Jan he had no say on the players coming in. who have all been disappointing for me anyway.

01 May 2018 12:29:50
Murty was not the answer to our managerial problem but he has been treated appallingly by the board. I believe he tried his best but he’s been undermined by the board and probably some players. Wish him all the best and hopefully he remains at the club in some manner

01 May 2018 14:51:02
I don't see how he's been treated appalling by the board. he was given a job to do. And yes he tried his best. But his best wasn't good enough. Really shocking performancees, team lay out and subs against celtic. Poor media displays. Saying it isn't his problem it's the guys on the field! And the whole Wallace and Miller fiasco. I wish him well but the board put faith in him and he blew it. Now I hope the board get the next appointment right.

01 May 2018 14:51:14
Dodged a bullet with Murty.

Was never up to the task.

01 May 2018 15:53:57
Agree dvt1200 . let's hope Stevie G can do what all the others can't so far, put out a team with passion and a bit of fighting spirit.

Murty was never up for it. weak and tactically inept.

01 May 2018 16:42:21
Punter. You talk as if Stevie G is already our manager. I keep saying he could potentially custard pie us. How many times do we need to go through this. Get a grip. Until he is named leave it be.

01 May 2018 17:17:50
Sorry guys but I’m not buying into this “Murty thrown to the wolves”,

Your all beginning to sound like Brenda Rodgers. Truth is Murty stepped up when asked and up until the recent Old Firm match at Ibrox was turning in decent performances and results, to the point that we actually thought we could challenge for the league

However after that match the wheels have come off the bus, mainly as a result of poor tactics, player selections and formations. which were all his decisions.
The Semi Final briught all the player frustrations to the surface and he’s never recovered from that

His body language on the touch line and the total lack of interaction between, Murty, Nichol and Johannsen has been there for all to see

I’m not buying “it’s the Boards fault”. Graeme Murty wanted the job, he wanted the scrutiny and evaluation of his capabilities in order to secure the job for himself, it hasn’t worked out for one simple reason.,

“He’s not good enough to be Rangers Manager”

I hope he’s OK and trust that taking on the role hasn’t ended his career in the game, but fundamentally he wanted it

He wasn’t undermined by Kings statement or speculation surrounding Stevie G, he always knew it was to the end of the season and before King released the statement and Stevie G was in the frame, the writing was on the wall that he wasn’t good enough to take us forward

He’s a lovely guy, I’ve met him, but nice guys don’t win prizes

01 May 2018 17:26:04
Big cliff

DO ANY OF YOU REMEMBER GRAEME SOUNESS 😂😂

01 May 2018 17:33:32
Dont know how people are saying he was hung out to dry, he got offered the job and he acccepted it. for whatever reasons its not worked out. we appreciate your efforts graeme murty, but now the coaches need to get these players to roll there sleeves up and show a bit of fight to finnish 2nd or 3rd. Its been a tough season lads but Hopefully we hear about a new management team this week. Get some quality players in early and they get a solid pre season. Hopefully we get a couple of nice strips made from hummell. And we get ready for hopefully a good season. FOLLOW FOLLOW

01 May 2018 18:05:33
Who's going to want to come to us when our board have been involved In some controversial goings on with managers. We aren't far as far behind Celtic as pundits like to say but we will be if we don't bring in players who can put in a shift. Some of the worst displays I seen on Sunday were from guys who support our club. i'm going to say it, Murphy has done nothing since he's came in, holt is too light weight, Halliday is just straight rubbish. He would struggle to get into a Scottish championship team. Has dorrans really brought in the displays we thought he would? None of these so called supporters of our club looked like they gave a f@@£! I will say this though, we have massively missed Ryan Jack.

01 May 2018 20:03:06
Man up bigcliff

01 May 2018 09:47:19
Alan brazi who stars in the undateables and talk sport is waging a campaign to stop stevie gerrard joining us I've never seen so many ex celtic players and pundits try and talk a manager out of a job in my life.

01 May 2018 11:24:16
Aye RT, and the collusion between timco and timco 2 to get the game played at the piggery is now more than just a suspicion.
But because it could never be proven in any court in a million years all Irish originated clubs will continue to do this to ensure we never get back on top.
What more proof do we need to see Brenda an Loony Lenny nearly havin sex on the park after hibs won.
Would be great if collusion could be proven as both would be turfed out the league.

01 May 2018 11:27:09
Yes, I was listening to Brazil on talkSPORT and he said he couldn’t and wouldn’t explain what he knows about Rangers but there is seriously cash problems at the club and they have absolutely no cash until season book cash comes in? 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

01 May 2018 12:16:59
I think it's pretty obvious there's no moneye till season ticket money comes in. Which is why they always put out stupid statements at this time to part us with our cash. Were worse off financially than most of us want to admit, more people are seeing Dave King for what he is but there's still too many to follow blindly on.

01 May 2018 13:06:10
It's the same every year, no surprise.

It depends on inward investment as to size of investment in team. Season ticket cash won't be enough alone to make a difference.

01 May 2018 14:54:27
Is their an ex Celtic player/ manager or supporter in the media left to try warn SG not to take the rangers job.

02 May 2018 01:27:16
Alan Brazil is a nobody who no-one takes seriously anyway. If anything his mouthwash probably drive SG towards us.

01 May 2018 09:24:19
Hearing that Murty has left rangers for good after the weekend. hence why no one spoke to the media after the game.

01 May 2018 10:25:07
confirmed murty has gone

01 May 2018 10:27:21
I heard he chucked it straight after the game! The players had it in for him

01 May 2018 09:01:41
Any news on Gerrard? Think if we get him can't be any worse than it is.
Guys a winner and if first job I'd imagine he'd be going full guns to get us winning.
Alot on here upset with Murty but to be honest guys done his best. He was pushed to front of firing line by board.
