I now see that the lad hickey is being tracked by man city and bayern. He is a target of ours that wilson has stated he likes. Why do we not just go and buy him. I'm sure there are players we own that hearts would love to have in their squad. I have saw this lad a few times and I know he has been destroyed at times but he is still only 17 18. I know there are people saying he's not rangers first team quality but here's the thing we can't judge him against borna ot tav but against our youth prospects and it's there I think he is better. He is by no means the finished article far far from it but he has shown glimpses in matches I have seen that he could be a great full back. Me personally I would take him over polster, Flanagan, halliday just now as back up. He can play either side. he is a player that if developed carefully .

01 May 2020 14:06:48
Simple and short answer, we can't afford him!

01 May 2020 14:18:18
he is anne budges get out of jail card where money is concerned, she will turn it into an auction.

01 May 2020 14:27:57
Maybe we aren’t buying him because he looked absolutely awful twice against us this season. He may we’ll be one for the future but I think we’ll be using all our resources on ones for the now.

01 May 2020 15:00:58
We won't be spending any money right now on players. 👍.

01 May 2020 15:37:18
Gooner - exactly - every time I've seen this kid play he's been terrible. I hear the reputation but I don't see the justification for it.

01 May 2020 17:43:36
Really don't want him. Had a stinker v us every time he's played. Really don't see the hype.

01 May 2020 21:43:53
We won't be signing him. Although basing how good he is or could be on how he has played against would be a mistake. I can think of a few players who have had great games against and have turned out to be sh*the. O'halloran springs to mind.

01 May 2020 22:08:38
I can't get my head round this. He may be an okay player for Hearts but we want an outstanding proved player form Hearts, not a maybe. We have plenty of outstanding young players ourselves but can't make the step up, the process is not as linear as most would like to think.

01 May 2020 23:01:44
He’s decent and has potential but makes no sense to spend £1-2m on a back up player who’s comparable to Polster ability wise.

02 May 2020 00:03:37
Cant believe the comments. So rangers are too good a team for this lad but he is being followed by bayern and man city. If they are following him he must have something. He won't be first team but I know some youth development coaches and he is held in high regard. Has been for last few years. Next Kieran Tierney. I wouldn't mind taking a chance on him. As for we have no money, soon as this covid19 is over money will come into our club. The investment has already been put in place.

02 May 2020 08:29:24
Tjbb. Do you think he is linear getting a game mate, lol lol, couldn't help it pal, giggled up, lol.

02 May 2020 09:23:20
Bellshilllad Bayern and Man City ain’t looking at him it’s all paper nonsense Man City release batter players all the time just look at pingpong over at the dark side he’d have hickey on toast none of the big teams will be looking at him.

02 May 2020 11:29:55
By "looking at him" means he will be on a database with thousands of other young players all across Europe. Doesn't mean they are watching him every other week.

02 May 2020 12:09:37
Highland i know for a fact both have been tracking him. Bayern have had him looked at through a scout they use in uk. Man city have had him watched on at least 5 seperate occasions.

02 May 2020 12:31:14
Bayern and Man City are looking at our own Kai Kennedy, not Hickey.

02 May 2020 12:35:24
Probably the same folk reporting that athletico are looking at morelos.

02 May 2020 15:59:21
Stuart83 you know for a fact do you? Care to substantiate how you know these things, I think you’re talking nonsense my friend, hickey has potential but all these top teams have 3 or 4 players well above the level of Aaron Hickey he may have a decent career and I hope he does but I’ll eat my hat if it’s at a top European club.

02 May 2020 18:32:02
Highland bear81, hear, hear, mate, i'm surprised nobody hass mentioned that we are now officially rid of ashley.

02 May 2020 19:41:45
Paulellen I hope you’re right about fat mike mate, I’ve seen the headlines but I wouldn’t bet against him popping back up looking for more money. I wouldn’t wish that person on anyone other than smeltic of course 😷.

01 May 2020 10:24:56
Surprise, surprise, I see celtic and other clubs want our evidence now or they won't support our request for an independent investigation. This lot will stop at nothing to get Doncaster a heads up.

I would wait until the last minute to disclose the smoking gun, and I hope it's a belter. Even if it is damming I still won't expect any support. After all why would you vote for this if you were found out?

All we can hope for is that it is a matter for the police. And still we follow on.

01 May 2020 11:06:31
I see the Dundee owner has made a statement (3weeks after the vote) a statement where he waffles a lot without actually saying anything. It seems strange that the SPFL are making statements every day, basically repeating themselves over and over. For a organisation that says it hasn't done anything wrong they're doing they're level best to look guilty 🤔.

01 May 2020 11:15:00
Maybe these clowns chose 12 May for a reason - to put as much pressure on Rangers to provide this information earlier so as to give them the chance to coordinate their excuses. If they threaten not to back the calls for an EGM unless we provide the dossier now, that is tantamount to blackmail and must go against their own rules. Really curious to see what happens today - let’s hope Rangers don’t blink the way SPFL has.

01 May 2020 11:44:32
also mr, Dundee confirmed many clubs advised them to vote yes mmmm, so not an independent free vote, peculiar. so spfl demand we accept their mechanics of operation. forgetting the subject of the vote, this is ludicrous.

01 May 2020 12:31:14
According to Alex Rae the rules indicate that the clubs get between 14 days until about 40 days to make a date for a vote. The SPFL gave the minimum 14 days notice.

01 May 2020 13:14:30
and your point being what.

01 May 2020 15:19:39
Mr grumpy, remember they came out earlier in week and said they have made mistakes due to skeleton staff, so there preparing for the cover up excuses.

01 May 2020 19:31:54
If the rules are minimum 14 days then why should Rangers be forced into providing their trump card to a select few clubs in lieu of all clubs and much earlier than they need to? Is that not tantamount to blackmail?

02 May 2020 08:32:51
Hewohears, nail belted right on the head mate.

01 May 2020 00:01:08
The Vote submitted by Dundee and confirmed as received by SPFL before 5pm on Good Friday was diverted to a SPFL Spam File. Strange that votes submitted by the other members did not also divert to the Spam File.

01 May 2020 10:07:45
Statement from SPFL said no promises were made to members although some had been sought in run up to Good Friday Vote deadline. Dundee Director said he was provided with assurances on league reconstruction as part of his post vote revision deliberation.

01 May 2020 10:32:29
After Dundee changed their vote to yes they immediately received £50k of sponsorship from a company run by ex Livi director and big tine Tim, Dominic Keane who's company only had assets of £500. And in the current climate when money is tight who'd lay out any money in sponsorship?

01 May 2020 10:27:30
Spot on Bankie. pure lies from SPFL . I posted a while back about this as it’s been obvious that Dundee were negotiating on a vote that would have consequences for other clubs.
Corrupt to the core. And still we follow on.

01 May 2020 10:57:37
Im like and old vinyl record playing the old tune . time to pack our bags and get our application in to join whatever happens in England, that's where the money and prestige are, with brexit no tory government would say no to another team from the union, let's leave these nomarks behind to squabble over the crumbs .

01 May 2020 12:57:35
Loyalist I kinda agree with you but for me I would run a team down south and 1 up here. Both rangers but we can use the Scottish league as a reserve league. Imagine e the outcry from celtic if our reserves beat them in the leaguelmao.

01 May 2020 15:30:04
Bellshilllad83,i also agree with you we should have our development team play in Scotland, however as I've said many times we need to go now with brexit because no tory government will say no to a team from within uk can't transfer to english leagues, that mob wouldn't want to come under those conditions cause theyhate uk and England, we have to think outside the boxand for the long term future of our club.
