Ed, is Puncheon likely to join the gers what about Upson

{Ed010's Note - It has been reported by Sky Sports that Rangers have expressed an interest in Jason Puncheon but to my knowledge, no one from within Ibrox, has officially stated that interest. Perhaps we will learn more in the coming days, especially if Blackpool get relegated, as they have first option on signing him from his parent club Southampton.

Matthew Upson has been linked to Rangers but from what I have read, the link is believed to be to Queens Park Rangers and not to us.

{Ed010's Note - You are not alone in trying to determine, which rumours have more of a truthful ring to them, than others. Just remember that a "rumour" is just that, a "rumour" because if it wasn't a "rumour", then by definition it must be a "fact", in which case this page would be called "Rangers Facts". Did you follow that ? lol

No need for the sarcasm mate, Im sure I know what a rumour is, all I was saying is what do you think are the most persistent or likley to happen. For example if someone posts rangers in for messi, then its obviously bs. But rangers in for conway there is an known intrest. I was only asking for a few names in a similar situation to conways.

{Ed010's Note - Please accept my sincere apologies if you took my reply out of the context in which it was made. I would never knowingly belittle anyone or make any sarcastic comment. It was an attempt by me to try and add a little humour to the response but it looks like it backfired on me. If anyone else took offence to my post, I apologise unreservedly, to you as well.

Moving on to your footballing points, names are being banded about on a regular basis, some more than others. Conway, Bartley, Goodwillie, Diouf, Foster and Weiss are the more common ones but equally, there are the odd unique ones. With regards to obvious "lies" being posted to the site, they never make it onto the website proper as they are deleted beforehand.

now i want to ask you ed your opinion on Stillian Petrov spelling coming to rangers ? would you think he would be treated like miller at the start or even throught his time at ibrox ? and also to my fellow bears what do you all think ?

ScottTheBlueNose

{Ed010's Note - Scott, this is a difficult one to answer. If we take Miller's situation, he was a Rangers player first, before moving to Celtic and then back again. He certainly won over, the majority of fans who opposed his second coming, by scoring the goals that he did and the commitment that he showed.

On the otherhand, if Petrov was signed for Rangers, there is no previous link to Rangers and a huge link to Celtic. Being a midfield player, Petrov won't be scoring goals on a regular basis and so it would need to be his commitment and work rate, that wins over those fans who oppose him being a Rangers player.

The one thing that its for sure, we all want to see the best players at Ibrox and if Ally deems Petrov to fit that mantle, we should support him and the player. It is also possible, that if Petrov arrived at Ibrox, some of our friends from across the city, would be even more annoyed, than any of our fans who actually would oppose the move.

What do you Guys think ? Would you accept Stillian Petrov as a Rangers player if Ally did target him ? If not, why not ?

Please note that only responsible views and opinions will be posted, so don't bother replying, if your responses don't meet that criteria

i whole heartedly agree with you there Ed i couldnt care any less if rangers signed an ex celtic player i maybe criticised Miller when he came back but that was only because he didn't really do much for celtic previously so didn't think hed do a job at ibrox but was proven wrong
i think Petrov would be a good enough addition to the squad and if what we are hearing is true a pretty good replacement for edu if he goes

to the question about how it started yes you were correct in saying it was posted on here and copied from another sight i saw it previously and investigated and posted them just so the fans who didn't look on the page could see them

another jog down memory lane for my fellow bears and this could be good news for us doing a title run

the last time we ever won 3 in a row we went on to do 9 in a row now that is a good sign for us fellow bears

Ed, have you got any idea of the most realistic rumours posted on here because I find it quite hard to distuingish.

Also, what happend to the rumours of that centre half Douglao, has he signed for someone else?

Cheers

{Ed010's Note - You are not alone in trying to determine, which rumours have more of a truthful ring to them, than others. Sorry, nothing new on Douglao but that is not unsurprising at this time of the year.

I Do not care who we sign, the club was on the brink and now we have stbility, We have a budget, We are the Champions again if the face of all the club has been through, I look forward to the new Rangers under Ally and have a feeling that we could be on for another 9 in a row, Great time to be a blue nose :0)"

I have had the same feeling. If we can do 3 in a row (Keeping in mind how well we done in Smiths first season back also) in the position we were in then we could surely dominate for the next few season also? And with extra revenue if we do well in Europe? Well who knows!

{Ed010's Note - From memory and bearing in mind the vast volume of posts that are received, I think it was a "copy" of a post that appeared on the Aston Villa pages where someone reported that Cuellar and Petrov were Rangers bound and that the outstanding balance of the Cuellar transfer fee had been scrapped. I'm sure I will be corrected if I'm wrong lol

Billyboy1 {Ed010's Note - Thanks for that Billyboy, anyone else wanting to divulge their cost for next season ?

£433 FOR Copland rear next season

£544 for my season ticket this year in the govan rear

I sit in west enclosure and it is £433 and is £108.25 per month.

If you pay your season tickets over 10 months there is a small amount of interest and you are subject to a credit check, so if bad credit you won't get it

Club Deck Loyal this year is £522. .

i sit perfect seat right on the half way line row c in govan rear.mines is 600 this season.which is the same for me as last season it was 585 with 15 administration fee.tried to switch my seat to govan front as its a lot cheaper and they told me i would have to go on a long waiting list and may not get a seat.its bulls**t the way they treat the fans this year will be my 21st with my season ticket and still get no loyalty from rangers

Ed010's Note - You raised an interesting point and I will ask the question on the back of it. Should Rangers be rewarding us fans for our loyalty over the years and if so, what system, would you like to see in place ?

The atmosphere at Champions League games is different class although they don't sell out as much as they used to but still great can't even hear yuorself sing at points.

Not sure if this post will get through. Guessing the Ed has closer links to Ibrox than he let's on. .

The two big name ex players returning I tried to post about, is still hush hush, and I think might have been a bit too "hot" to get on the forum ?

Anyway, here goes. John Carew was all set to join up but Mr McCoist has pulled the plug (from the States) not sure why, poss a better option has turned up, but it was a DEFFO up until VERY recently

{Ed010's Note -Thanks for the post and I can clarify for the record that I have no contacts at Ibrox, direct or otherwise. I know it would be brilliant if Ally and his team were able to give me the information to pass on but it ain't going to happen. What we have as a substitute, is for us fans, to post our rumours, opinions and views on potential signing targets. What I can say is that based on the number of posts received on this site, they are quite considerable.

Club Deck Loyal this year is £522. . for my concession (aged 16-18) season ticket in the copeland front it costs £297

however you can also get a juvenile ticket in the govan rear up until the age of 18. this would cost around £150

also heard Rangers looking to take Chelsea youngster Jeffrey Bruma on loan. he is primarily a central defender but, just kile Bartley, can also be played in a holding midfeil role.
He was on loan at Leicester for the final half of last season and seems to be a good player. thoughts on this move and what it may mean to the bartley deal ed?

{Ed010's Note - We are aware of the quality of Kyle Bartley and because of that, he would be a great signing for us, whether as a transfer or loan deal. Jeffrey Bruma is a player that I don't know a lot about but what we do know is that not every transfer works out and is more of a risk, compared to Kyle Bartley. Whether Bruma comes on a loan deal or not, I don't think it will have any impact in the pursuit of Bartley, if that is what Ally wants to do.

I have not heard this anywhere but this is my own opinion.

If Man City are willing to offload a few players then I think that Rangers should be looking at Shaun Wright Phillips who would be a tremendous asset to our club. I don't know what sort of wages he is on and what he would be expecting but looking at other rumour sites there is talk of him being let go for as little as £2m.

What do you think? If you would like to see him at Rangers then click believable.

Ps I would rather see us put in a good offer for him rather than waste wages on Diouf/Healy & Beattie.

Rangers will put a bid of £150,000 for Ricky Foster plus are hoping to seal a transfer for 31yr old Matthew Upson for around £3.4m.

why would rangers pay 3.4m if hes out of contract ? get ur facts right before u make up rubbish

{Ed010's Note - You are quite correct in your facts that Matthew Upson is out of contract in summer but equally it could be that the 3 million is the price of the contract over a 3 year period. It's on local radio up in Glasgow that Villa are selling Carlos Cuellar back to Rangers. .? Anyone heard anything? {Ed007's Note - The story first came out last week, but I think it is just speculation, there are supposedly a few Spanish teams interested}

all of these have been quoted on the aston villa page

now i want to ask you ed your opinion on Stillian Petrov spelling coming to rangers ? would you think he would be treated like miller at the start or even throught his time at ibrox ? and also to my fellow bears what do you all think ?

Please note that only responsible views and opinions will be posted, so don't bother replying, if your responses don't meet that criteria

ed any latest news on who rangers want to buy and gonna know say a don't know becuse a know you know players that are targets that wee don't know about cheers pal

"{Ed010's Note - I don't know Seriously, you have to appreciate that unlike many people who post here (lol), I don't have direct contact with with Ally McCoist or anyone in Ibrox or Murray Park. I am as reliant on Rangers fans as the next person. I could pick names out of the sky but that is not what I am here for. Ask a definative question, I will answer it truthfully or if I don't know, I will check it out and report back. Ally McCoist will have some players that he wants at Rangers but wanting and getting are two different matters. In any event and I have posted this before, Ally will not be advertising who he is interested in, to prevent other clubs poaching that player, simply because they were tipped off to his availability."

Completely agree with u Ed. We have got to remember that last season celtic also went for every player we were linked with, and more recently kris commons. Ally will more than likely be keeping his cards close to his chest this summer and I expect maybe one or two shock arrivals. . In a good way.

ed who do you think rangers will get in the qwalifiers of the champions league a do wonder see if rangers get in to the group stages me and my pal are goin to a champions league as i have never been to one before but am only 17 so af got plenty of time but a do want to go to one next season becuse af been told about the atmosphere and its absolutley brillant so af been told a just cany wait o i another qwestion do you know how much it is for season tickets as am thinking about getting one

{Ed010's Note - Sorry about the double post, I hit the wrong button. The answer to the questions made by the author of the post are brief. Some of the leagues around Europe have still to be completed so at the moment no one will know for certain, who will be in the CL qualifiers and at what stage. As for Season ticket prices, depends on where you are sitting so I suggest that you contact Ibrox nd they will give you the price structure.

Rangers will put a bid of £150,000 for Ricky Foster plus are hoping to seal a transfer for 31yr old Matthew Upson for around £3.4m.

Conway will sign for championship team- probably Norwich and McCoist hopes to sign Bartley on loan and Kevin Nolan for £2.5m

*** if rangers bid 150k for foster i will not be happy, the guy is clearly a very poor player and best back at aberdeen, as for kevin nolan. . why on earth would newcastle sell their CAPTAIN for 2.5 million( nonsense) As for Upson . . no thanks the guy is so over rated and injury prone, we need young defenders with pace not old injury prone 1s that are slower than KING WEIR, as for conway im not that fussed as don't think he is very good*******

Have you been playing football manager or something? Fiorentina tried to sign him last summer for 4.5m and got told to bolt. Wish people would stop posting shi*te on this. We are all rangers fans here so why lie and make up stuff I have heard that the south african player Pattison is supposed to be close to signing. Jason Puncheon aswell looks like a target. Personally I would love to see Scott Sinclair from Swansea at Rangers but obviously he won't if they get promoted though :/. Also what do yous think about keeping beattie or healy on?
