Just want to plead with all the Bears who seem to think we can just walk into England and become Europes next top club please think before you post, we will never compete with the likes of the Manchester clubs or the London clubs unless its in years to come in the CL so these dreams of us being up there with the best in England in the EPL should just stop now! Our Owner is already making us a laughing stock let's not make it worse for ourselves it amazes me that you guys actually think this will happen and that we will be able to sign top players of the World. let's just gain the respect back from the footballing world and get back to the top from where we are now we made a good start paying the footballing debts this week we can tie the league up next month onwards and upwards not south and downwards because where we are at as a team it would be a massive Struggle to mix it up with Port Vale & Gillingham never mind Cardiff & Crystal Palace so stop thinking we will be playing a game a season at old Trafford & The Etihad give yourself a a shake and gear yourself a up for a whirlwind couple of seasons hopefully we will be able to get a win over Celtic and get back to the Top!

A honest and refreshing post from a supporter with common sense and decency.

Stop worrying about it, it's never going to happen. Regardless of EU law we would still need to be invited to play in England.

We would be playing in the EPL eventually, within 5 years. You may be right, we may never win the EPL, however, I would prefer to be in the EPL even not winning trophies than winning mickey mouse cups that mean FA in the grand scheme of things. Plus there is no way to predict exactly what we would or not win if we were playing down south. Bradford? Swansea? Birmingham? We could defo get a cup win at some point if these teams can do it!

Forty years I have been listening to this England story, not a chance of it happening.

However were it to happen, there is no reason why both we and Celtic could not compete. You have to realise the vast amounts of money that these teams earn from tv. I believe the bottom team this year gets in excess of £70m. When you compare that with our paltry amount, and then realise that this income is every year. It may take us 5 years to compete but both clubs are massive and if EPL could attract much bigger attendances. We would also have no problem attracting players who want to play in EPL. Not everything would be Rosie however. I don't know if fans of either club would like not being in Europe every year and it may take years to win a trophy.

We play in Scotland, we are Scottish and should remember that with some pride.

I don't believe in my lifetime we will be playi g Man u Chelsea etc I would welcome the oppertunity. I believe our pulling power would eventually make us a match for yhese teams. Weneed however to have a reality check and stop blaming others eg Celtic for our current position. THE BLAME lies mainly with Murray and White and perhaps ourselves for putting our trust in them. I only hope its not three in a row.

The sooner we are out of Scotland teh better. The problem with too many Scots is that they have an inferiority complex.
Rangers would be a massive draw in England or in any other 'serious footballing country'.
We would have the opportunity of massive sponsorship deals and I suspect that there would be a queue of prospective suitors to buy the club. After all it isn't every day that you have the chance to buy a club with such a massive support both in teh UK and worldwide.
Why do you think that Charles Green and his consortium bought the club in teh first place. it wasn't because the were massive Rangers men doing it out of teh goodness of their heart. They are in it to make money!

A good and sensible topic and all sensible comments on and upwards for all sensible bears.

Well said I cringe every time this p. h gets spoke about its never going to happen let's get back to the spl and spoil celtics wee holiday that they pushed so hard for as it was the only way they could get closer to our success and history (the new chilled oot lenny defo needed it not a kicked water bottle or evil ref in sight since wee went down)so let's deal with what's in front of us instead of kidding ourselves on about english leagues and all that sh. e jmgers

Ok where does this nonsense come from Mr Green has not said he is magically moving us to the EPL he has said he would be interested in entering the English leagues at the lower levels and take his chances moving up over 5-7 years in a similar manner as we are going to do in Scotland. the main difference being as you get closer the the upper levels in England the cash return for a club of Rangers support will be higher than any return from the old SPL or whatever the new league mumbo jumbo will produce. AS we have shown we will follow follow wherever we find ourselves and work our way to the top from whatever league we are welcomed in. So in one sentence no parachute into EPL has been claimed by anyone from Rangers.

First time on here, ed I think the guy who spoke of stoke deserves a bit more respect
He is after all a gers fan who takes time to contribute to this fabulous site, I believe if there was no hope, nor future in england then both clubs, and especially celtic would not have been trying to go there for years, these are two of the bigest clubs in europe, that is not a joke but a fact, ' I believe the epl will have to change at some point, as the dutch/belgian league had to, smaller clubs admittedly, the epl has two the biggest draws in europe on its doorstep, the money men won't ignore that forever,, {Ed001's Note - except the big English clubs are looking at a European super league.}

Bring England on it can't get any worse, Would love it to happen, we would get to EPL and we would be one of europes best clubs once again, and if u don't think this you don't know how big Rangers Really are WATP

Is there a gas leak in Glasgow the night or have the peeple no been reading the label on their medication again. It will never happen they don't want us end of story.

Playing in England within 5 years? No, try 10, at least: look at what AFC Wimbledon had to do as your example.

Op here & what would happen when we started down in the blue square maybe don't manage a promotion can't get up through the leagues & end up in admin again? These leagues are very tough with little income that could easily be the end of our Club or were stuck Down in league 2 where as Celtic could be years ahead like they are now up playing in the championship would you like that? There's no guarantee we would be successful who would invest while we were in the lower leagues just because we have a big support?

Watching Rangers playing Berwick and going and this performance, we wouldn't even cope in the Conference Leauge

West bromwich and district sunday methodist league is probably the best place to start its about the same level as the scottish third

Kris Boyd is signing for Killie. Back page of Daily Record and The Sun.

Playing in england is a no vote for me let's all be honest here rangers and celtic would not do well in england take of the blue and green tinted specs both clubs should stay in scotland my view I think the top league should be 18 teams tho
