Barry ferguson till end of the season @25/ 1.put some money on it!

22 Feb 2017 20:16:03
He's probably still got the legs to run our midfield, nevermind manage the team!

22 Feb 2017 21:08:12
Any idea guys why we would want Barry Ferguson?

22 Feb 2017 21:33:45
Probably because he is a "Rangers man" that knows what is and isn't acceptable for our club. I like Murty and hope he can return to the U20s job that he was doing well too undamaged from this, because let's be honest he is the lamb to the slaughter here through no fault of his own.

23 Feb 2017 02:34:50
Im sorry but that's p**h! I for one am hoping our youth are going to make us. Murty has been led to slaughter but shows lack of understandin of the game. Hoped a youth coach would be breath of fresh air, but instead has actually made things worse! The whole thing is a shambles once again and i just can't see why a half decent coach can't set a team up properly. We need an experienced head to get us organised and playing as a unit!

He's a COACH not a manager highland bear, how can you come on here and lambast a coach for not doing great with a squad of players he's never worked with in his life when he's had a week and a half to get to know them? Christ, give the guy a break.

23 Feb 2017 12:56:04
Super Ally was a rangers man, Barry Ferguson would end up tarnishing his legacy with any attachment to this crowd of pretenders from the top to the squad.

23 Feb 2017 14:14:23
Warburtons philosophy was from senior level right down to youth level, every team would play same system so as they progressed up the ranks every player be aquainted with the system.

So how can G Murty be expected to change the old managers playing philosophy in 180 minutes of football, when in all the time he`s been there that's the style of football he`s been told to implement.

The guy needs time.

23 Feb 2017 21:20:22
Why not Barry in some capacity?
Rangers man and learning his trade from lower leagues.
When will fans understand there is no shining saviour coming. Building again in a more competitive league which we have no right to expect to win anytime soon.
Budgets can mean nothing look at Leicester last season.
Follow the team and support best we can.
Cmon bears need to face reality.

23 Feb 2017 19:47:47
I'd like it tbh but I can't see him giving up managers job for foreseeable future for 3 month work

23 Feb 2017 22:21:14
@peterh - so we'd rather appoint on the basis of someone being a ' Rangers Man ' rather than ability? No wonder the club is and will continue to be in turmoil.

23 Feb 2017 23:02:27
I truly do think that barry ferguson WILL be part of our new coaching team, although NOT the main man just now! That will probably come for baz, a few years down the line! Strong rumours on malky mckay becoming our new head coach are surely wide of the mark! Can't see that one happening in a month of sunday's! It would cause a boycott i would think!

25 Feb 2017 11:20:20
hihgland bear what a load of nonsense u think its muty that's made things worse because our players didn't perform oh that's right they haven't performed all season mate!

i will not be blaming the guy who has been thrown in to the deep end with a coouple of days warning seriously get a grip of yourself mate

22 Feb 2017 14:07:58
Niko resumed training today, any word on how far away he is from full return? still can't see him returning this season unfortunately : ( although it would be a much needed spark needed in that dire team!

22 Feb 2017 15:17:28
If you look at the photos on the club website he is still training on his own with the physio as he was last week. Time to think he might make it back before the end of the season is when he starts training with the rest of the squad. Even then he'd still have to get match fit-no sign of Rossi ter outside though. Think he's even less likely to be back before the end of the season. At least Windass proved he's still alive though!

22 Feb 2017 15:20:21
8-10 days probably

25 Feb 2017 11:21:17
fully fit by april unless any setbacks

22 Feb 2017 11:45:47
Rangers offered mcleish the job till end of season, mcleish knocked it back says he wants it longer term. This is true, no bollocks! The search continues no one knows in murray park what's hapning but apparently training etc is so disorganised from first team to youth academy with all the changes.

22 Feb 2017 17:08:10
Thank feck for that

23 Feb 2017 20:18:22
Adam chook you are full of make a wish pal. there's no way he would turn the job down if offered it even short term he said himself he's a rangers man and wants to help the club they just need to call. So he's not been offered anythin and as for the training being a shambles how do you know? bet you know a guy who walks his digs near murray park and he told somebody else told your milk man who then told you eh? there's photos and videos from murray park every day showing the squad training same as they always have. And as for the youth set up there will be guys in there doing a decent job until murty is back.
