I thought there was probably was going to be an embargo?? {Ed039's Note - Yes, read the details of the embargo buddy, it will run from 1st Sep 2012 - until 31st Aug 2013, allowing trade to be down in this window but not in January or next summers window)

To be fair, what agent isn't shady?

Do you remember as far back as May? when this was happening?
FORMER Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd is part of a consortium trying to rescue Glasgow Rangers.
Paul Stretford – the agent of Manchester United and England star Wayne Rooney – is also involved.
This is so MURKY it makes "Tinker, Tailor Soldies, Spy look like a childrens book. What the bloody hell is going at Ibrox? All these men directors inccluded are here to gte easy money and we are follow follown on.

Next summers transfer window closes on a Saturday which means it will be extended to the Monday so we should be able to sign players.....thanks SFA!

What is going on? Kennedy to buy 51% of Seveco according to DR and Leggat.
Here we go again. Green hasn't got the SFA licence and he's willing to sell a controlling interest to Kennedy now. Surely that will mean another fit and proper test, plus Charles is constantly going on about being in it for the long term. There's only a couple of days left to get this fixed, get on with it.
Agree7
Disagree8
1. Has Green said he's selling ?
2. Is Kennedy offering £5.6m CASH or is it his usual 99% offer made up of future Rangers income to "invest".
3. Green said no shareholder would own more than 10%.
4. Is Kennedy making an unsolicited offer?
Agree4
Disagree4
It was Willie McKay who was at Doncaster.
Agree2
Disagree2
Leggat? Please tell me you dont give this guy any credence?
Agree4
Disagree3
Can the club sign players as they are still technically in administration?
Agree4
Disagree0
The club is not in administration, it's a new club, the old club is in administration awaiting liquidation and it's league registration has already been transferred to the 12th club in the SPL, that is why the newco requires a new registration from the SFA and this is why we are in div 3...

Rangers using football agent Paul Stretford
Gers chief executive Charles Green is using the services of the agent, who was banned in 2008 for 18 months and fined £300,000 for a number of misconduct charges relating to how he acquired the right to represent Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney six years earlier.

Ally McCoist not up to doing his own signings but another crook spiv has to middleman between the new club and clients. Syphoning money out the door.

Is bringing another crook in to do dealings for newco going to help anyone just going down same road that caused this trouble in the first place.another dirty hand in the money pot.

Crooked football agent - shock horror - stop the press !!! ..... Show me one that isn't ? Yet moe cack getting peddled by the anti Gers crew ....

Don't think AJM is anti Gers, some of these rumour's actually come from bears.
Tam
Agree5

I thought that until Sevco get a licence to play then it would be pointless trying to sign players as no registration could be processed for a club still without a league to play in.

Heard a wee rumour at fives tonight. play at shawhead powerleague n a boy in the bar after the game was mentioning alex neil of hamiltons name. he claims to be a neighbour of neil's who stays at heritage gate, coatbridge n said mccoist had made enquiries about some of hamiltons academy boys n alex reckons a few young lads at hamilton will do a turn. mccoist also kean on neil but nothing concrete ATM. the boy said neil gave no indication as to his feelings on joining rangers. i dont know this lad from adam but seemed genuine enough. anyone else heard a similar story?
J1985 {Ed039's Note - Where are you from mate? Is shawhead not a tiny place in the borders?)
Agree5
Disagree6
I've seen some of the U17 squad play and although they are a good squad they are not ready for Div 3 yet.
Agree9

They need to let the Americans go to cover the wage bill on the incoming players, especially if Black is wanting £10k per week.
looks as though we are going to have to sacrifice quality to fill jerseys.
Agree8

Lol shawhead is in coatbridge just 10 mins from hamilton {Ed039's Note - Ahhhhhhh, OK cool. Sorry, I have played 5s lots of places in and around Glasgow but never there)

Powerleague glasgow is qt townhead not shawhead {Ed039's Note - J1985 has answered this question, this is what I was wondering, because i have played in Shawlands and Townhead and was wondering if it was a mix-up of both)

Arite ed. live in a wee village called bargeddie, just between bailieston n coatbridge. shawhead is in coatbridge mate, apparently neil stays in coatbridge, according to this lad anyway.
J1985 {Ed039's Note - I am from Shettleston mate and have played next an old school out that way, I was a goalie and when we played 11s there was broken bud bottles on the goaline, it was a black roof on the place with yellow writing for the name of the place but for the life of me cant remember. Moved to Fort William 3 years ago and not had a game since, so if anybody in the Fort is reading and can get a goalkeeper a game then please respond lol)

Agree0

Ian Black? Craig Beattie? Dean Shiels? You're having a laugh mate. First off, we can't afford them. Second off, these players are too good for us, or rather the league we're playing in. We're playing in the 3rd division so players of established SPL quality won't be joining. At best we're looking at a few players from the 1st division who can't get regular football or loanees or maybe players at the end of their careers who can't sort out deals in the SPL or down south. Don't let the clowns on the radio throwing names around try and persuade you otherwise and don't give Celtic fans ammunition to call you deluded.
Agree11

How do you pay these new players? Rangers top earner will be on 100s per week not 1000s!

We need to get license first dont we
Agree16

I dont expect there will be many. also i expect they will be relatively unknown players if any sign atall. dont want the likes of black and beatie. . i truely hope we put murray park to use and play some young talent.
Agree11
Disagree12
McCabe, no one else seems to want him
Agree8
Disagree9
We will have to put murray park to very good use if we accept the transfer ban as we wont be able to sign anyone until jan 2014 @ 10 of our current squad are out of contract in a year's time.
It is now decision time should we accept sanctions for the oldco by accepting a transfer ban which does not exist in the rule book. If we don't we may not play next season. But if we do we open ourselves up to accepting further sanctions for the oldco which also could result in us not playing next season and stripping of titles if others get their way.
Agree6
Disagree4
Celt fan - but I have seen a few of the youth players currently playing for your u-17 and u-19. Few good players mostly big, strong and should be able to cope with D3. Best player I have seen is a big central midfield player and a polish striker both about 16/17 but if they are going to cut it then why not bed them in now so by the time they are 20 they will be ready for SPL. Just a suggestion.
Agree29
Disagree3
Transfer embargo's don't stop us renewing contracts, only registering new players
Agree8
Disagree1
Can take a player on loan for a maximum of three matches according to BBC. {Ed039's Note - Not true, SFL clubs can play a trialist for a maximum of 3 matches, in order to play them as a trialist they must be a free agent, but 3 matches is all we would get as we have a registration embargo)

Iam a celtic fan & iam starting to feel for ordinary fans, people spend hard earned cash to pass on the father to son mantle of a football club,to be fleeced high n dry whilst someone somewhere has creamed off alot of money,
The way yous are being in my opinion blackmailed is a disgrace, after the vote of which division the membership should of been granted instead of going from back to front, all scottish fans should get toghether and blast the sfa spl,
Its a outrage that spl wish to cream your profit or anybodys for that matter, surely they should be wishing each club get as much as they can, instead of big fat cats & shareholders getting a bigger payout, give the club a membership get your paws out the till ,let everybody get on with football n credit to yous for wishing nothing else apart from gettin on with it,
Believable55
Unbelievable14
Okay, let's be clear the SPL isn't trying to cream the media rights!
Sky have asked for Rangers D3 broadcast rights to be included in the revised deal. So if you have beef over that, take it up with Murdoch and not SPL.
Agree14
Disagree37
Feel sorry for Celtic too, you will be left to carry the other SPL clubs on your own for 3 years. Good luck.
Agree37
Disagree14
If D3 deal is included in revised Sky deal then Rangers will have more broadcast income than going with a SFL only broadcast deal. makes sense to agree, I think Green is using this as a bargaining chip to try and stop the embargo and or the SPL investigation.
Agree13
Disagree7
No no no no no .
This is the SPL trying to keep control and negotiate on behalf of SFL. Ie creaming the top layer.
Example: A plumber pricing a tiling job at £300, with the tiler only getting £200.
The SPL want that £100 for hee haw. SPL do not rule the SFL and must be seperate deals.
They are s**ting themseves as sky will rip up contract if they dont get it.
SPL have no leadeship and are up clyde without a paddle
Agree28
Disagree13
"No no no no no ."
nonsense, Sky are pushing the agenda. do you think SPL would want to share anything with SFL if they didn't have to.
Agree14
Disagree20
I am a celtic fan-agree with most of what you say, but feel it a better idea to have scottish football under one mantle, get rid of half the hanger's on who spend vast amount's of money on sortie's all around the world. Money saved could be put back into grass root's football.
Tam {Ed039's Note - Good post Tam)
Agree40
Disagree1
Totally agree with tam its about time all the suits were kicked out of sfa they,re only lining their own pockets and making themselves more important than they are.they do nothing for scottish football.funny how when theres any big games abroad they all take their whole families and at our expense.time for a clearout
Agree22
Disagree1
The spl pay sfl 1.8 million a year for tv rights if sfl sign their own deal that gets ripped up would they risk 1.8 million for life against a three year deal ? as i say you have not been punished for anything you didnt deserve
Agree5
Disagree13
I hope, in the name of sporting integrity, SFL clubs back Rangers in the struggle to keep any media rights so we all benefit financially bar SPL/SFA.
Agree18
Disagree2
Rangers are only associate members of SFL and do not get any benifits from the assets of the SFL. I believe this may also include any TV or sponsor money
Agree4
Disagree3
Why doesn't Longmuir stand up for the sfl by helping Rangers secure tv rights? The sfl were too clever for the spl before, now is the chance to prove it wasn't being anti-Rangers!?
Agree8
Disagree0
"The spl pay sfl £1.8 million for tv rights"
Wrong! SPL pay SFL close to £2 million in perpetuity because they broke away from the original 1st div, payment is compensation for the breakaway - and what does that have to do with punishments anyway?
Agree3
Disagree1
SFL/Longmuir are trying to do a deal with Sky which helps Rangers but SPL/Celtic are putting the boot in.

Agree6
Disagree10
Well tell us what Charles green has done wrong and why you believe his integrity should be questioned.
Agree10
Disagree6
No-one will buy Murray Park unless it is to continue as a centre of excellence/training facility,if its sold they cant do anything with it as the land has to be returned to how it was before murray park was built as its on a green belt, very highly unlikely that anyone would buy Ibrox and use the front facade for a shopping centre either also it has silverburn 3 miles away, braehead 3 miles away and clydebank centre literally over the river from it.As for using Hampden with Queens Park i can see the supporters agreeing to buy a ticket for there after the way we have been treated by the spl/sfl/sfa. Stop smoking the weed and get down from the rafters.
Agree8
Disagree9
What an absolute crock of sh*te
Agree9
Disagree8
Not sure about Murray Park point but the rest may not be too far off the mark> Rangers DID get planning permission for the land around Ibrox and the Albion and I'm not talking about the so-called Super-casino. There is a Super Hospital currently being built in Govan which will call for additional housing, hotels and other facilities. Why not check out planning permission granted and see for yourselves?
Agree9
Disagree8
Centre of Excellence ....... have I missed something ??
Agree9
Disagree7
Murray Park is prime site if designation for housing can be achieved. This is not as far fetched as you may think. East Dunbartonshire Council are totally skint like every other council. They have procedural mechanisms available now to circumvent existing planning policies and receive capital funding from housing developers if they grant permission.

Craig Whyte is well and truly back on the scene. Told you many times here before. A very 'unrelated' looking story in the papers today about Whyte's new debt recovery firm is the key. Whyte IS making moves through lawyers to make sure he gets his money's worth back. Remember Green a while back said he has "accuired Whyte's shares based on the granting of a CVA"?. John Brown keeping back information that Green told him during a meeting. Whyte is about to exercise his ownership of the assets. Renting, selling or whatever means to make money back. FACT.
Believable25

Shares are irrelevant because the club is getting liquidated.

he's prob filtered millions out the club

I would like to see C Whyte try to recover anything, sheez he couldnt even recover his prized Bentley from his ex-wife.He is gone now and wont be back, the police are investigating him so he will be hanging out in Monaco with the millions he stole/fleeced out of Rangers in the short space of time he was in charge.
Agree11
Disagree6
If craig whyte is being pursued by hmrc and ticketus he has every right to question the amount the assets where sold for if he feels they where under sold he could easily ask them to be recalled

We won't be stripped of titles and trophies, we'll get SFA licence, we'll stroll through the leagues. We'll spend double what Sellick spend and Ibrox will be a super duper stadium to rival paradise with 75,000 seats!

It does sound to me as if Ally is trying his best to get to get sacked or make his position untenable. Don't think he is up for the SFL fight. opinion - not rumour
Agree13
Disagree7
How much is Ally's contract worth? I had it in my mind it was something ridiculous like a million a year. That sum will have TUPE'd - surely we can't afford that. Also, how many 3rd Div teams have things like goalkeeping coaches - 3rd Div away ground benches won't be able to accomodate the non-playing staff far less subs {Ed039's Note - It is circa £1m per year)

Ally was on £20k a week times 52 was over a million a year. Dunno what now.

Ally is just the same as NL - sometimes talks like a supporter with a lot of passion and from the heart but managers are supposed to represent the face of the club so they have to rise above it a wee bit. Things a manager says can have an adverse affect on morale, share prices, pending court cases etc. That's why most big businesses have media reps and advisors (including governments) who are trained to deal with the press etc. Managers should be briefed by them and the people in charge as to what they can say public and what to steer away from.
Agree27
Disagree20
He's made a mockerey of himself once too often.
Agree17

Heard a rumour last night from an pal of Ally's pals from EK that Ally might want out and titles being stripped from Rangers gives him a legitimate way to 'walk away', after all if titles were stripped he couldn't possibly just accept it and get back on with his job.
Hope it's not true but it is from a very reliable source who gets most things right.

He was Rangers worst manager, out of 4 competitions and blew a 15 point lead!

McCoist has been quoted on Rangers News first and then it has been picked up by other media sources.
His statements therefore have been backed by the club and are designed to state the club's position publicly as negotiations continue.
I'm sure the club has PR & media staff who approve all this coming out - so it's not McCoist going off on one as you may think.
Agree8

Ally was shown to be out of his depth @ Tannadice. While struggling to put a team out on the park, his brilliant managerial decision was to leave Aluko on the bench. Doh!
