First time poster, maybe whytees choice of administrator may backfire on him. May i say they seem to be acting for the best long term interest of Rangers, bbc is reporting among the detail of the increased tax figure that they are confident of hmrc agreeing a Cva with RAngers on the basiss Vraig whytte is no longer involved meaning no liquidation and no more whytte result twice over

Believable28 Unbelievable46

Oh we will see.dont hold your breath

Agree0 Disagree0

Saying that they are confident HMRC will 'make a deal' is a tactical move aimed at forcing the hand of HMRC. How can they know this before negotiations begin? I am confident Arnold Clark will give me a deal when I go to buy a new car on Saturday, what does that mean? Don't believe all the PR spin coming out of Ibrox from Whyte OR the administrators

Agree0 Disagree0

Duff & Phelps are acting within the best interest of Duff & Phelps, not Craig Whyte & not HMRC, if they negotiate a deal in which everyone's happy they will receive high profile publicity which is beneficial for their future businesss opportunities

Agree0 Disagree0

If the aim was to close down gers completely the HMRC would have done so already................they seem to be behaving as supportive as they can while expecting some monies paid towards tax etc.............

Agree0 Disagree0

This only applies to the unpaid PAYE and NI.

When the big tax bill lands, liquidation will be inevitable.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte still involved as he doesnt DO WALKING AWAY

Agree0 Disagree0

Who was advising David Murray that RFC would win the big tax case ?

I just don't get the original sale, it seems RFC is certain to lose the big tax case and inevitable liquidation.

Whyte is not a business idiot, nobody else would touch RFC with the case pending, why get involved ?

None of this makes business sense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr whyite is still at the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank goodness Alastair Johnston fighting for Rangers' interests and future; and to expose the truth about the background to this shambolic takeover by an unscrupulous and clearly untrustworthy wee shyte; and to challenge the legality of the takeover which I suspect we'll discover was forced through by the recipient of the Tickeyus money. What happened to all the financial regulatory checks ? It's unbelievable that no one seems to have bothered to check where the money came from or how legitimately it obtained.

Wonder what a bankers' bonus is for recouping Ł18m of bad debt ?

Agree0 Disagree0

The current situation is beyond a joke why was there no checks done prior ED ? {Ed001's Note - there are some tests done and background checks, but they are far from extensive. Considering how Whyte made his money, I personally do not feel checks should have been needed, it should have been obvious to Murray exactly what would happen. All I can think is that the club was in such a state, he had to get rid or be dragged down with it. To the point where he didn't care who it was buying, just so long as they got him out the muck.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this all started when the banks put rangers under pressure so the owner had to sell might be wrong very hard to tell ?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree. SMD didn't really have a choice. LBG were calling the shots. There will be more to come out about this.

Another embarrassment for the financial services industry, I'm quite sure ! They're at the heart of this with their decades of reckless lending to Rangers and other football clubs, which has ended in this sunami of debt. Its going to take down other clubs and businesses if Rangers don't survive. Just watch !

Agree0 Disagree0

These administrators seem out of their depth
they went in and almost immediately said we have little to worry about and a positive outcome is likely to be forthcoming
Within a few days this has changed to total uncertainty. By this time next week I anticipate something along the line of utter panic.

Agree0 Disagree0

For the love of god. The administrators are duty bound to the courts. No one else. Nit themselves, nor HMRC, nor Whyte, nor Santa for that matter (as all the nonsense I read on these pages, you lot might as well believe in the fat bearded one).

As a rangers supporter I am looking on in horror as revelation after revelation is revealed. Please however refrain from plucking wild assumptions from the sky. Rangers will not die, the fans (those with cash) will always step in. The brand alone (be it a tarnished one with the above and also the mindless, thoughtless sectarian bile that comes out of half of ibrox ... and beyond) is worth millions. Yes, even just the name.

For the life of me I cannot see any investor touching us with a barge pole. The only way that there is going to be any form of normality restored is if we approach the club like Barcelona etc. Owned by fans with presidential elections etc.

Run well, above board etc.

Whyte, if you're not in jail after all this (they are coming for you) I'll happily eat my hat.

S.

Agree0 Disagree0

As someone who is only a football fan and not as the hordes would have it an expert on tax or finance, may i direct anyone interested in facts about tax and the so called disguised remuneration, including EBT,s to Abbey tax protection, resolve news article on the 2011 finance bill.

Agree0 Disagree0

In response to the poster 's' above saying the fans with cash will step in, the last time rangers had a share issue how many fans bought shares in the club? David Murray had to buy up 86% of the shares because the fans wouldn't.

Agree0 Disagree0

Th only way that would happen is if Rangers Admitted all liability

David

Agree0 Disagree0

Adminsitrators are responsible to the courts, they would be in more trouble than Craig Whyte if they tried to hide anything or protect Craig Whyte ...... Big Dave

Agree0 Disagree0

As each day passes the destruction of my club is unforgivable thanks a lot the people upstairs you will never be forgiven

to be fair when i asked about zuffa it was a friend in the US that told me that and i had a feeling it was rubbish but i had to ask, in saying that tho i wish it was true

the blue knights will show there hand in the next 7 days, big money from big names along with two share issues in the next two years. trust me. col.

Believable28 Unbelievable59

Not a hope in hell before the result of The Big Tax Case is known.

Agree0 Disagree0

I so so hope this is true

Agree0 Disagree0

Why, have they got gloves on?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so, my pledge is ready and waiting

Agree0 Disagree0

Pie in the Sky when you Die !

Agree0 Disagree0

By all accounts we've won the big tax case but obviously there's the monies whyte hasn't paid over. Believe HMRC trying to do a deal taking this into account. Wait & see what happens. Think you'll find Blue Knights not the only bidder

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha ha,your talking craig white.

Agree0 Disagree0

My pledge waitn too

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, why do you let these dumplings post p#sh on here. No one will be putting any money near Ibrox until tax cases are resolved, why can't everyone see that!

Agree0 Disagree0

Where has their hand been like?

Agree0 Disagree0

Pure fantasy once again!

Agree0 Disagree0

No ... fantasy is celtic fans say they play like barcelona lol .. ... muppets

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance of gladys knight putting cash into your money pit

Agree0 Disagree0

I would treat anyone who tried to buy Gers before the tax case with the same contempt that I treat Craig Whyte, IF they lose the tax case (see rangerstaxcase.com) after we're bought by a consortium who scrape together just enough money to buy Gers we will suffer the indignity of falling into administration for a second time a la Pompey. Get real

Agree0 Disagree0

RFC will remain in Administration until the big tax case is resolved then it will be included in the CVA.

HRMC as the prefered creditor will get most of the proceeds of any sell off, they will not liquidate RFC to lose money.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like to say there is no chance of liquidation. But I'm only 95% sure. This is only a last resort. Its nothing at all like Gretna. Rangers have the means to move forward but what is obstructing everyone is the lack of full accounts.

Agree0 Disagree0

The main rule with the blue knights is that no one person can own any more than 25% of the shares, we will see whos talking p#sh soon. trust me. col.

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter garbage. Rangers have no money to move forward. Sundays game will be their last as administration cannot continue without money.
The big tax case will ultimately signal the end for Rangers (assuming they are not liquidated before the tax bill lands).
There is no hope.

Agree0 Disagree0

They better hurry up before its to late

Agree0 Disagree0

There is only one thing that can put RFC into Liquidation and that is a drop in home attendances. The administrator can not borrow money to continue trading, it requires working capital, the main source of income is attendance money.

The future of RFC lies in the hands of the loyal fans, it is a big test in a recession.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not that we want to support the club times are very tough just now especally if your taking a full family to the game to show your support just cant do it its hard enough just getting by in the current climate

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers owner Craig Whyte used future income from the club's match-day catering to pay for new kitchen equipment at Ibrox.

The club received new cookers and other catering equipment in a deal with finance house Close Leasing in October 2011.

...is this guy good or what!
makes BoS look good...

Believable16 Unbelievable5

Makes you wonder if he has been cooking the books

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny the RTC website said they were paid for as part of the commonwealth games, guess they were wrong what a surprise.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you meant the RBS m8 next you'll be telling us he conned the bloke into a 10 year franchise for the price of 3 years catering ! Was reported 2 weeks back
On clyde !

Agree0 Disagree0

No, the RTC said the big screens were paid for with a Commonwealth Games grant.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aw think about it who is a Director of Close Leasing!!! Keep the money within. as the other Team in Glasgow are singin, Ho Ho Ho its off we go, Rangers will never get one in a row, bye bye Rangers. Celtic have been doing the best business in World football, Building a Team that is now worth alot of Money - so they have good Assetts that can be easilly sold for good money wiht a good replacement coming in at the Back of Them - Average age is 22!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I love the taste of the billionaire burgers from that catering outlets at ibrox. much better than a loyal burger or follow pie. up to our knees in pounds of debt surrender or we will die!

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Feb 2012 18:44:41
1. Rangers debt to HMRC is £15m and not £9m as previously thpught.

2. Whyte has released statement saying he is coming back to Ibrox to finish the job he started.

3. Administrators have passed information to the Police who have stated they are preparing a report for the Procurator Fiscal.

3. Gordon Smith and Ali Russell resign (at least some positive news).

Each day new information comes out that just gets worse and worse.

The most worrying thing is that Whyte wants to stay in charge. That will cause all sorts of problems with clearing any debt and bringing in any investors. No doubt this is his plan.

Believable34 Unbelievable15

Although I had no time for gordon smith I like the statement he has realeased
NTYABOW

Agree0 Disagree0

All true fellow bears, the above post is word for word what i have been told, also worse to come, very dark days ahead. WATP.

Agree0 Disagree0

With everything mounting up against whyte he will be lucky if hes not jailed never mind stay in charge

Agree0 Disagree0

I am getting really twitchy about our future, whyte must be really hard skinned if he thinks that he can come back, once the dust has settled and i dont mean that literally. Can we get out of this mess that the little liar whyte has helped create.was he ever a supporter think not

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers Fc is being asset stripped before our eyes and there's F___ all that can be done

Agree0 Disagree0

Fan power can remove The Liar once and for all (if CID don't do it first!)

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the comment that this whole mess is going to get messier Ive heard liquidation is getting closer as the days go it makes you sick to be a bear

Agree0 Disagree0

The danger is that what Whyte has done may turn out to be legal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers fans are the business.
1.
2.
3. &
3.

Should it not be 1234

Agree0 Disagree0

The debt seems to be getting more each day why were the fans told it was 9 mill when in nearly 15mill whats going on fans kept in the dark again any info ed ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not that Rangers fans are being kept in the dark, its just that they are now only accepting what has been clear to everyone else for months, they just want to remain blind to the facts that their club was in such a S..t state, they lived in this fairy land, that no one would ever challange the debts of the club.... Comments in the past like The Queen, or The lodge won't allow this to happen.... Don't see either queuing up to bail your butts out of this mess.

Agree0 Disagree0

THE GHOST'With craig whytes past of any dealings. He will not even get chances of cleaning up police horse s**t at ibrox.Hope when jailed the wee man gets seconded to SANITARY DUTIES,which will be good enough for him. Signed THE GHOST.

Rangers are unlikely to be out of administration in time to be eligible to play in European football next season, BBC Scotland understands

Believable21 Unbelievable10

Is it a 1 year ban or 3 year ban?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would there be a ban? its simple - you cant apply for a european licence, there is no "ban".

on the other hand, uefa could take a hard stance with the dhims for their flares and banners in the europa league

Agree0 Disagree0

It's NOT a ban therefore it will only be one year. It will be a three year ban if we go into liquidation and come back as a 'phoenix club'.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not a ban, RFC are currently inelligible for a licence to play in Europe for a number of reasons, eg No accounts, failed break even test, non payment of tax, I could go on

Agree0 Disagree0

The least of our worries now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget about Europe. As I understand it, we can't even play even in the SPL without an SFA license which has to be renewed too. And has various conditions relating to financial health.

Agree0 Disagree0

STV News

Gordon Smith and Ali Russell made redundant.

Monies due to HMRC for unpaid PAYE, NI & VAT is £15m administrators have revealled, and not £9m as previously thought.

Rangers have to make a decision on Daniel Cousin’s future this week if the Gabon international is to have any chance of playing for them this season.

Believable15 Unbelievable15

Well he cant be registered for the SPL and he cant play in a cup game for them so whats the decision they have to nake ?

Agree0 Disagree0

They were thinking of appealing.

Agree0 Disagree0

What cup game?

Agree0 Disagree0

FFS he should be sent packing. We can't afford a blinking bottle of buckfast never mind Ł5k a week on some over the hill has been....

Agree0 Disagree0

A few weeks ago everybody was applauding daniel signing for the light blues hopefully rangers will win the appeal to let him play

Agree0 Disagree0

Has he been getting paid for his time here?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a real shame the guy would have played his heart out for the gers dont think he would have been paid any idea ed {Ed001's Note - he won't have got paid, the deal wasn't ratified so he would have had no contract.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Reputable bus company, surely thats a contradiction in terms lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Bearing in mind our circumstances maybe we have found a cheaper deal . {Ed001's Note - or told the players to drive themselves there?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Just to add to utter rubbish remember parks buses is owned by a big gers man, craig+babybear

Agree0 Disagree0

You mean parks of Hamilton ?

Thats the company BOTH rangers & Celtic use.

Also quite positive rangers would stay the night before hence the long distance journey ?!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye probably more to the fact that the administrators have realised that we have been using a bus company which is tearing the arse oota costs. Maybe to pay for cleaners who apparantley spend all their time on the Internet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its true were getting the train
LET THE TRAIN TAKE THE STRAIN

Agree0 Disagree0

They have also cxd an overnight stay for the dundee utd game

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey ed for gods sake i know this is a rumours page,do you not think this is getting beyond a joke with these useless rumours,they just sit and make them up as they go along,i thought you had enough sense to spot an iffy one when you seen it....trueblue.... {Ed001's Note - I actually meant to put this one on banter to be honest. It was just a simple error of clicking the wrong box.}

Agree0 Disagree0

RFC through instruction from the administrators are identifying areas to reduce expenditure.
The players will be adopting car pool share and driving to Inverness the evening before Sundays game.
Tents will be erected on the park Saturday evening to provide accomadation for the Rangers players and staff.
Rangers FC have highlighted some concerns to Inverness CT that the playing surface may be far too uncomfortable for a decent nights sleep.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cracker lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the CFC editor is filling in for the RFC editor and is causing a bit of mischief and winding up a few uptight bears TTTS {Ed001's Note - god no, we would never hear the end of it if 007 was able to edit Rangers!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha! We've been riding Celtic for years. Who needs a bus!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey Dudes it must be True True True just passed a squad with Blue Tracksuits on thumbing a Lift on the A9. Inverness will send them walking back down too on sunday.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cos they want any monies up front

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if the administrator refused to release money for a coach, I'm pretty sure the players can still afford to chip in for the hire of a bus !!

Walter Smith turns down Wolves job!

Believable38 Unbelievable8

He's waiting for the news whether he comes back. dependent on takeover

Agree0 Disagree0

Walter coming back would be IMMENSE

Agree0 Disagree0

Pa! Please note your club is in adminstration. He will never return!

What's wrong with mcoist when your championing a return of smith?

Walter smith poised to take wolves job, mccoist told duff n phelps he will go if smith confirmed as no 2 ease the wage bill and compensastion to rangers with durrant taking charge till end of season and the stick whyte gets for losing us 10 points mccoist has done 25,hope this is true good riddance to worst rangers manager ever,END OFF

Believable25 Unbelievable51

Nonsense! Smith has rejected job! SSN fact

Agree0 Disagree0

Stupid post nothin but a glory hunter not a gers fan at all you're a disgrace

Agree0 Disagree0

Good job walter did not take the job, we don,t do walking away

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes rejected wolves ya tit

Agree0 Disagree0

Good luck to walter yes we have lost 25 points but what other manager has had circumstances like this if ally had money to bring in his players he wanted rather freebies it would be a differant team but i can not understand why the likes of hutton fleck mcmillan bedoya mckay never got a real chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Clearly not a rangers fan are you!

Agree0 Disagree0

McCoist has had ZERO backing from whyte the sh!te. Every one of his first and second choice signing targets were not captured. Wait until Ally can actually sign people HE WANTS instead of people gogsy smith and whyte wanted. Now is the time for ALL Rangers fans to support McCoist and the team regardless of the results!!!!! {Ed001's Note - no manager ever gets their first choice signings on a regular basis, it is the art of management to make the most of what you do have. McCoist is a new manager, he has a lot to learn, he was brave to take the job on, but he will have learnt a lot this season!}

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance - Like us, Ally doesn't do walking away - If his wages were such a problem, I imagine he would probably work for free for the cause

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter nonsense, walter has turned down the wolves job.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you call mccoist the worst rangers manager ever?

Firstly - PLG ??
Secondly - McCoist has had zero backing to bring in players - Whyte was unwilling to offer the money or wages to bring players in?
Thirdly, until administration set in we were only 4 points behind, and we all know the dark side bottle it when its a close call...

as for you, poster, you are a complete and utter idiot

Glasgow Rangers Champions :)

Agree0 Disagree0

What makes him the worst Rangers manager ever? He has had virtually no money to work with, yes he has made mistakes but who hasn't? Ian Durrant is clueless have you heard him speak, and whats his track record, a loss to Dunfermline!

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

What a muppet mate post sense or dont post ya dafty mccoist would be decent if he got a chance end of mon fat sally we should back whoever is our mangaer probably the hardest manager job in britain to be celtic or rangers boss in ally we trust

Agree0 Disagree0

You are now 10 points behind plus 10 for administration. Nothing has changed player wise yet! So I agree McCost is the worst manger ever.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally is a magic manager, ally must stay.party at ibroke 25th march.all good rangers fans must attend

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul le guen was rangers worst manager so get your facts right

Agree0 Disagree0

"Wait until Ally can actually sign people HE WANTS ". Thatll be along time coming then.

Agree0 Disagree0

"10points behind plus 10 adminiration" so you are basically saying that the administration has had no effect on the players mentality ... yet last year the dhims were on here saying celtic threw it away because of the players mentality over the death threats to lemmon

Agree0 Disagree0

PLG was still in europe, sally got done by minnows!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see walter taking the job at wolves after being with rangers for years enjoy your retirement walter best wishes

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't believe your opinion on McCoist as a manager. When he had 11 1st choice players available he was 9 points clear and had managed us during our best old firm performance at Ibrox for a long time.
When we lost Naismith AND lafferty he had NO other option but to play a never fully fit Jelavic and his 4th choice striker.
The squad was badly depleted and needed 5 new players which he wasnt allowed to bring in.
Of the players he did sign Goian and Bocanegra are good. Bedoya and Mckay never given a chance and Ortiz was forced to play out of position and Wallace brings a bit more quality to left hand side. Celik has decent potential also.
Sir Alex Ferguson would struggle to have done a better job under these circumstances
In Ally I Trust

David King was at IBROX to start a legal challenge to C.Whytes takeover if successful will mean that ownership reverts to the 26000 small shareholders and be a lot easier for any future takeover (AEG being most likely and profitable deal) {Ed001's Note - I don't want this to sound like I am saying this rumour is correct or anything, but I do know AEG are looking for a British team to buy. They have held talks with Spurs and made it plain that they are not the only option they have in mind. But I don't know of any connection between them and Rangers at all, so it could be a case of people putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with with Craig Whyte's pound.}

Believable19 Unbelievable26

I do hope it is true quis seperabist

Agree0 Disagree0

I think if AEG bought us it would be amazing, unlimited funding to an extent, bring us back to europe and beating the smelts easily as usual, if they had the chance to buy spurs though they probably would ....obv bigger profit margin coz of the EPL

Agree0 Disagree0

After the Craig Whyte fiasco, there is little chance of Dave King passing a fit and proper person test, the SFA will be under big pressure having allowed the Con man Whyte to be fit and proper

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr King has a number of hurdles to overcome, among them being involved in his own major tax problems. Also there is the wee matter of the sfa's rules that you can be a director of a club, if within the last 5 years you have been a director of a club that has undergone an insolvency event, ie administration.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think if AEG want to buy a team they have loads of options. And they would prefer one with a big TV audience

Agree0 Disagree0

Portsmouth also in admin, access to EPL, nowhere near Rangers potential liabilities. Think logically people, please.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave King is not allowed anywhere near a uk business while his tax problems in SA remain active. It's the law I'm afraid.

Story in today's Daily Record that Craig Whyte's lawyers are refusing to co-operate with Administrators in the search for money and that Rangers won't last beyond the next few days unless they start to co-operate

Are you all deluded? whytes administrators are his buddies, his lawyers obviously the same. of course they are creating a smokescreen. how many alarm calls do you need to wake up. i appoint my buddy as an administrator and he is going to dig deep into my finances? oh, yes, here are the details of my best friends account from the virgin islands, help yourselves to any money you think is due to you, craigy boy wont mind, and i foresake my cut. so deluded. prepare for meltdown, and soon.

Admin firms are what they are they wont want any bad press the already are digging deep

HMRC complained about The Whyte Knights selection of the present Administrators.
They previousy worked for Craigy assisting the takeover from the Knight Murray
So much smoke , lies and corruption.
The only honest and true people are the supporters!

Agree0 Disagree0

What is tru though is that the club needs a buyer and they need it soon as poss. There is no realistic chance of starting next season if that doesnt happen
