I don't think it would affect it igwt, at 18 I think Algeria is a project, and not a direct replacement for alf.

I agree John but I’d have thought perhaps he’d be coming to be 3rd choice? I think itten may be moved on in the summer. But Alf stays, which I think he will, then u mad others have said Defoe is staying, add in sakala and still have roofe, he would then be 5th choice striker and that’s only if itten moves on.
I could see us selling roofe and itten in the summer if we bring in sakala and alegria and keep Defoe with Alfie.
4 strikers would be a max number I think. Will be interesting.

I agree John25 🤔 Roofe won't be sold and i honestly think cedric itten will quite possibly go out on loan 🤔I agree also that alegria looks a very good/ powerful striker and most definitely a terrific prospect for our first team, in the not too distant future 👌🇬🇧I like what i've seen of fashion sakala and if we were to sign him, we won't need to go for clarke-harris! Sakala would cost us nothing whereas clarke-harris would probably cost us at least £5million, so that one is a no brainer for me 🤔.

I wouldn’t have imagined roofe being sold either guys but where I’m coming from is numbers and finances. We can’t have the amount of player suggested. It doesn’t work for squad harmony or financially.
Strikers next season- Alfie. Sakala. Defoe. Itten. Roofe. (Alegria) . That’s 6 for 1 position. 2 would need to leave.
False 10s next season- “left side” Kent, Wright, Kennedy.
“Right side”- Aribo. Hagi. (Roofe) ?
Would u not agree that would give us 11 players for 3 position. Almost 4 per position on average is too much and would cause unhappiness within the squad.
U could say Kennedy goes out on loan, itten is sold, still leaves 9 for 3. I think either definitely or roofe would need to move on. Straight choice 1 or the other. I’m just working on the numbers guys not a personal oppinion.

Roofe will definitely not be sold, Morelos might, Itten might be loaned out can’t see us getting near to the £3m we paid for him do likely to be loaned IMO.
Defoe probably getting a new deal on reduced terms and might have impact on improving Alegria.
The boy from Peterborough would likely cost upwards of £5m so not worth the risk regardless of how well Ivan Toney has done he’s a different player.
The Zambian boy can Sakala will play on 1 of front 3 places probably on right.
I think Hagi, Kent, Aribo, Kamara and Morelos most likely to be sold obviously not all but potentially 1 or 2 so it makes sense to get in potential replacements just now especially on nominal fees and Bosmans and still got other boy from Bournemouth to add to squad, exciting times.

Is sakala not more of a wide player than a striker? That’s what I thought but can play thru the middle.
Dare I say it could he replace kent? And am not saying kent wil be sold just asking the question as I don’t know if he will or won’t.
Personally if someone willing to buy roofe I would take it not because I don’t think he is a good player just the fact of his injury record over the last few years.
Defoe pointless signing in terms of playing in my eyes unless it’s massively reduced terms.
Itten needs to be sold or a loan as well.

Sakala has a steer goal average of 1 every 3 games so not an out n out striker, he drifts in from the left kja9 even when playing through the middle he seems to rely on his pace and come in from a wide position normally left so unsure where Gerrard and co see him playing. IMO Defoe is pointless in a playing role as he hasn’t kicked a ball all season. I’m not saying roofe will be sold but if it’s a numbers game then with his injuries and fact he’s English we could get £5-£6m for him from championship or bottom half premier league then he could be one to go.

Boy sakala can play anywhere across front line and in my opinion will be challenging for the 3rd attacking position to play alongside morelos and Kent. Algeria would be put into youth set up initially for 6-12 months then loaned out for a season. I don't think itten will be sold as think he has shown he has something. Maybe loan him out to another SPL side for a season.
