seems like alf is going to sceptic.I'm absolutlely gutted, he would have been great with Big Jela.whats whyte playing it here bears?

Believable1 Unbelievable7

No he's not, stop talking BS as usual.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who u talking about and really, who cares if he signs for celtic, he can collect his runners up medal if he does

Agree0 Disagree0

What makes you think he's going to Celtic?

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny how it's Sheffield Wednesday, Coventry n reading that are after him so stop talkin Colin Nish

Agree0 Disagree0

So what? We don't even know how good this guy is If the mhanky mhob are signing him then they are taking a gamble. Maybe we have someone else in mind? But there's nothing like a good old knee jerk reaction is there?

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it Rotherham? dont get overly disappoiinted mate, there is better out in the market

Agree0 Disagree0

Big wow wee Gerry as Jim White would say. Adam Le Fondre its hardly a top player Ceptic are getn yet another player and If its Daryl Murphy hes replacing they will b as poor if not worse.
If it was Bellamy or even Jobbie Kean then fair doos but Le Fondre? Pmsl

Agree0 Disagree0

Gamble?for a guy that scores plenty of goals,400,000 quids hardly a gamble

Agree0 Disagree0

He wouldnt game a game for Rangers, its as simple as that.

Agree0 Disagree0

ALF?? Whooooooooooooooo??

Why are you worrying about who they sign? They could have a front 3 of Messi, Aguero & Ronaldo and still win sweet fa

The day they actually sign a decent centre half and stop playing Desperate Dan or Glenda, then I might take notice

Agree0 Disagree0

As posted before he is a lazy bar steward much bette out there

Agree0 Disagree0

Mind ally was a striker. Who ever he gets in to fill the striker role will be quality. I have NO doubt about that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I shouldn't worry about Le Fondre. There is money available for the right players. As far as I am aware, up to £3m. If that is spent on one player, expect no more permanent signings this season, though there will still be enough to pay the costs involved in bringing in two decent loan signings. There is still a week to go. More than enough time to bolster our squad further.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wont be going to glitterdome they have wasted majority of there £1.5 mill transfer budget on forester loan deal and will only sanction more transfers if they get rid of £5OK a week of wages bill in saying that have managed to con Ipswich town into taking D.Murphy on loan only another £49,500 and they can get some one in 4IAR BY XMAS

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye it is a gamble. He's scored goals in the lower echelons of the English leagues. Better players than him have came up here and failed.

Agree0 Disagree0

We'd be better with Baldock

Agree0 Disagree0

Baldock... zat Blackadders pal?

Why has Gregg Wylde's new contract not been announced on the official Rangers website yet?
Are they waiting until tommorow just to give a boost before the game?

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Its not signed yet thats why.

Rayo Vallecano have apparently made an official order for Santa Cruz.

GDog

Believable7 Unbelievable4

How can you apparantly make an official offer, if its official, its confirmed so theres no apparently about it

Agree0 Disagree0

An official order? what is that mate?We should start officially ordering players to join us....thats where Whyte has gone wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

"How can you apparantly make an official offer, if its official, its confirmed so theres no apparently about it"

You're nit-picking just for the sake of it... so now I'm going to do it back.

The word apparently can also mean 'clearly' or 'evidently', as well as meaning 'seemingly'. So even with an official offer being made his use of the word is still acceptable.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well it's called a rumour And the rumour is the offer is official The source is Twitter, so who knows how 'official' it actually is. I will try and be more clear and concise For you in future.

GDog

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares if they make an offer for Santa Cruz? He's totally injury prone, we don't want him.

Agree0 Disagree0

If SANTA is taking orders ALLY would like a new Striker thanks

Vladimir Weiss has revealed that Wigan are in the frame to land his signature. SSN

Believable7 Unbelievable11

Rangers have been playing good football this season i think, good passing ect

Agree0 Disagree0

They played well against mwell and in the first half in malmo but the rests been a bit of a mess if u ask me players need to up there game things are not handed to u on a plate you need to earn them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt that accordin to yesterdays sun hes signed fir dinamo kiev on a 4 yr contract on the other had the big diouf has issued a come n get me plea in the daily retard

Agree0 Disagree0

Have all you "supporters" gone insane weiss made rangers worth watching, he has tricks and flair, something rangers have had missing for about 10 years now thanks to ally its back to the boring football typical of spl these days dull, depressing. GET HIM BACK TO RANGERS

Believable19 Unbelievable15

I must have missed those games. I can count on one hand the number of good games he had.
Saying that I would have liked to have seen him play on the right more often. I wouldn't pay £4m for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Weiss has gone to Dinamo Kiev forget it

Agree0 Disagree0

This is boring now, Weiss is not messi, he's massively overrated and if you don't like watching rangers then go to wherever Weiss ends up and we'll enjoy winning championships without you In ally we trust, proper rangers legend.

Agree0 Disagree0

The boy had 1 trick cum inside on to his right foot .. you knew what he was gawny do if you read the paper the day before rather see young gregg down the left more direct

Agree0 Disagree0

Errr, 1 good game, 3 not so good games summerize's Weiss form. I'm not saying he's not a good player and i'm not saying he has potential to improve and become more consistant, but he certainly wasn't the greatest player at ibrox over the past 10 years. Bottom line is, The team that scores the most goals and concedes the least tends to win the league and that's been the Rangers way of winning leaguue titles. Flair doesn't always bring success

Agree0 Disagree0

Weiss has gone to Dinamo Kiev forget it

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not yet he hasn't

Agree0 Disagree0

The same rangers fans would have been on here saying how good a signing it would have been if we got weiss, by far the best player we would have attacking down the right or left, just sour grapes from the ones putting negative comments on here, either that or they dont actually know how football should be played, weiss is superb and would only have got better if we got him, a lot of foreign players struggle there 1st season in scotland and weiss is no different, a young guy like him would have made us millions in a few seasons

Agree0 Disagree0

He was OK (think some gers fans look at him through blue tinted glasses) - not worth £4 million, lets forget him and move on. IAWT

Agree0 Disagree0

I completely agree mate he was an exciting wee player, something I haven't seen since the days of gio and mols. I will be gutted if we don't go for him. Come on ally. nail him down to the club he has come to love. WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree i must have missed those games as well only reason we are getting all this about weiss is he woz singin in the stand now please stop. 3 nil gers 2mora watp

Agree0 Disagree0

Weiss is a very average player, would rather see wylde get a game. glad he enjoyed himself here n love the way he goes on about rangers. but another not good enough player im not bothered about no getting

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, i watched all but one of the games he played for us and he is not good enough to warrant a large fee. He cant kick the ball with his left foot and tracking back is not his biggest asset either.

Agree0 Disagree0

I couldn't agree more. Who wants to see depressing football when you can se exciting football?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said the original poster. Of course the boy is not the finished article, he is still a young boy and his form will be up and down like any other good player his age But, he is EXACTLY the type of player we crave, he is dying to play for us and will only get better with massive sell on potential. He may not be worth £4m yet but I do think we should be doing more to try and sign him. #justsayin

Agree0 Disagree0

People seem to forget hes a young boy, far better than wylde infact hes prob the closest player we have had that compares to laudrup. the boys direct minded in which this crap scottish league needs at the moment. n if ppl dont want him signed dont have a clue yous want to watch boring football week in week out fair enough no wonder our games in such a bad way

Agree0 Disagree0

Right guys 4 million for weiss we paid over 4 mil for lafferty and he has just started to repay it after 3 seasons. we cant afford to gamble 4 million. simples.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rather have humphrey

Agree0 Disagree0

So now hes a one trick pony cos andy goram said it, before this it was 'sign him for £3.5 million hes a great player' make up your minds and grow a backbone and have an original thought of your own

Agree0 Disagree0

Gonnie get a grip with the " I LOVE WEISS FAN CLUB "............. is this what we have become ? HE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FFS give it a f**king rest, he was a bench warmer

Agree0 Disagree0

If £4m is the fee we wont match it i think he`s a good player and would be 1 of the 1st names on the team sheet, has trickery, skill, can beat a man- his crossing will get better and like any young player he will add goals to his game as he progresses, but i think a propper front man is needed more, would like vlad though and its not because he learnt a few songs and all that bulls**t some of you are spewing-hes a good player

Trabszonspor to replace Fenerbache. Announced STV.

Good grief keep up wee man

GDog

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 20:07:15
Just watching the arsenal game an it said fenerbache have been withdrawn from the champion league. One of the rumpled doing the rounds is the extra place will go to the team with the highest co- efficient that was in the champions league.with rangers been ranked in the 30s...... There might be a chance of a champions league comback by the gers?

Believable3 Unbelievable19

If arsenal go out to udinese tonite, which there is a gd chance of, then they r ranked the highest

Agree0 Disagree0

No, there place is going to the Turkish runners up trabzonspor. Source ssn

Agree0 Disagree0

Trabsponspur are in on urfa web site

Agree0 Disagree0

Because it was the turkish fa who pulled them out a turkish team gets it, if it was uefa who booted them out it would be different

Agree0 Disagree0

Wudny want it. we got beat. diny deserve to be in it.

Agree0 Disagree0

There might be a chance of a champions league comback by the gers?

Don't talk rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers have actually 51. something points but the place will go to the next best turkish side which i believe is trazbonspor however they too are under investigation so the place may well fall to bursaspor

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance of finding Lord Lucan mate

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 18:01:46
ed is the game tomorrow free for season ticket holders or is there a discount

Believable1 Unbelievable10

No and your to late for discount, you will have to pay normal prices, if you had a season ticket you would know that

Agree0 Disagree0

It is £23 i think for season ticket holders.

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

Season ticket kids go free.

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this a joke ? are you even a season ticket holder ? we had to pay for the malmo game or dont you know that we have already played a european home match ? early application before cetain fixtures give season ticket holders a discount for home games-

Agree0 Disagree0

Fs People give the guy a break he's asking a simple question

Gersman

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 18:53:09
I reckon Vladimir Weiss is holding out for a move to the Gers I don't think it's the case McCoist didn't want him, just don't think he knew he was available for transfer and Mancini says no to a loan move at the start. £3m a bit steep but £2m plus add ons is worth the risk

www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11682_7122122,00.html

Believable11 Unbelievable7

Give up will you he's not coming FACT don't want him either big Andy goram was spot on 2day in the paper he's mince

Agree0 Disagree0

Plz plz plz get the wee man signed... not only is he a very good player (with andy goram talkin p**s today sayin hes a 1 trick pony) bt he is also a real bluenose get him signed Ally... WE WANT HIM

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sure he said in 1 of his tweets that Ally had told him he didnt want to sign him. We need a stiker in anyway, Naisy's quality playin right wing and cuttin inside and Ortiz when we're playin more defensive. Bedoya or Wylde on the left. Hopefully we've got 2.5m-3m left for a quality front man. A right back on loan is also needed. Hutton would be perfect and quite possible if he doesnt make the 25man squad or find a club willing to pay Spurs good money. WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

With Wylde signing a contract extension that has put an end to Weiss coming back.
In Ally We Trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because he sang in the stand does not make u a proper bluenose wake up and stop talkin balls

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that too, although i think its more in hope lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Waste of money if he ever signed.

One pass makes him a legend?

The legend is the man in charge.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he wanted to be
a rangers player he would be here by now not moanning to the papers about rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Weiss is a legend in his own mind glad Super Ally does not want the wee prima donna.
Wee need a central defender a striker & a right wing side type player that`s it.
We have enough cover on the flanks of the defence & midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 17:27:43
THEY are linked with Roque Santa Cruz apparently (Daily Mirror). So much for us apparently being linked with the guy all summer.

Typical.

Believable10 Unbelievable6

Can u post a link for this, cant find it anywhere - and its not even on the daily mirror website.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its in the daily mirror gossip column.....

Agree0 Disagree0

I did see aswell somewhere but cant remember where. Is he not about 31 or 32 now. Bring it on WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

So what? Guys made of glass... get him up and we'll see what he does

Bellamy, Keane, another waste of wages

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland are sniffing about Santa Cruz too. THEY have been linked to ALF from Rotherham all summer, and haven't made any moves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Santa cruz is bound to be well short of match pactice offer them 500km for him and do a thorough medical

Agree0 Disagree0

Daily mirror gossip column... says it all. wat happened to Given, Bellamy, Bridge and now RSC... just wishful thinking... he'll go to sunderland i guarantee it

Agree0 Disagree0

Hmmmm Sunderland in the Premiership or Celtic............ I wonder where he will go. More PR rubbish from Celtic along with Given, Bellamy etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

WE were not officially linked with him - it was only on these rumours sites that we were.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was defo on the BBC Gossip page earlier the day, I mind reading it

TUNCAY
BECKFORD
JEROME
OBINNA
CAMPBELL (Frazier)
ZAKI

THESE ARE ALL PLAYERS WHO HAVE SCORED GOALS IN THE PREMIERSHIP AND COULD WELL BE WITHIN OUR PRICE RANGE, WHAT DO YOU'S THINK?

Believable7 Unbelievable16

Tuncay is going on loan to Bolton. Beckford and Jerome, are both out of our price range. Campbell is decent and Zaki has had issues where ever he has gone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford from everton? he is well within Moyes plans, Obinna i would welcome

Agree0 Disagree0

They're all crap or average so none please

Agree0 Disagree0

Tuncay just went to Bolton
Obinna is at a Russian team
Jerome to dear
Beckford would want money
Zaki is garbage
Campbell is good but wouldnt go with jela

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the above comment but Zaki could be awesome

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 16:42:24
ok, nowdont shoot the messenger but
i've just received a text from a
source who is not far off the mark.

He informed me off Diouf moving to
us last Jan the day before it happened
so i haven't got a reason not to
believe him. Anyway according to him
Rangers are in discussion with Spurs
to take Peter Crouch on loan for the
season, as it looks like their are
finalising the deal for Adebayor.

Again just passing on what i'm told.

watch this space..

Believable15 Unbelievable25

How do u think he would fair in the spl?
Another T A Flo?
Fi scooby

Agree0 Disagree0

Big man would bang them in up here and done it in Europe as well, think he will go to Sunderland or Stoke but would love to see him up here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly like tore andre flo

Agree0 Disagree0

Cany see it pal think upfront is the 1 area of the park spurs need more players so diny think they,ll let a forward go.

Agree0 Disagree0

It does sound possible, as Adebayor looks set for Spurs, and also Redknapp confirming that he would help Rangers with loanee players, but wouls Crouchy be willing to drop down to SPL standards ( going from Old Trafford to St Mirren) and what about wages? Surely hes on 40 grand + a week

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the post above, reeks of Tore Andre Flo, too lanky

Agree0 Disagree0

Would take him in a heartbeat. Can't see it happening though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Big TOO-TALL would reap havoc on the s**tty defences up here,I can't see it although I think it would be a marquee signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd be delighted if he joined us. Good striker and surprisingly technical with the ball at his feet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great, him and lafferty can have a big lanky dance off every time they score

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he will stay in the EPL if he does move

Agree0 Disagree0

Another Tore Andre Flo?? Sounds good to me, 29 goals in 53 games isn't exactly a bad return. It was the 12m price tag that was Flo's downfall - I admit he wasn't spectacular but he wasn't that bad.

I think Crouch would bag his fair share of goals. And for those against lanky players... were you complaining when Lafferty bagged us the important goals at the end of last season?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take him if he was as good as flo

Go look at history bold flo done well for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Diouf dun f**k all the last time so dont want him back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah sure, linked with Milan but he will come to Glasgow

Agree0 Disagree0

He would not come up hear as his wife just had a baby and he would not leave them down there no chance what so ever get real and stop talken pi..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ye hivin a laff,10 premiership teams either want to buy or loan him he aint gonna come up here, where is the attraction

Agree0 Disagree0

Bobo balde and big Johan were flo's downfall

Agree0 Disagree0

He would score 20 - 25 a season no problem

Agree0 Disagree0

Think ur m8 was maybe talking about QPR. Read it a few wks ago. Cant remember where tho.

J J

Agree0 Disagree0

Crouch has done well at every club he has been at and 'arry obviously likes him, but there has been alot of talk about him going out on loan/sold. Could see it if Spurs are willing to pay some his wages as he would be guaranteed regular football.

Agree0 Disagree0

The attraction is the old firm. when bartley went back south the first thing fabregas asked was what was the old firm like?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 16:39:37
i think maribor are bricking it that they might be put out of europe and that is why they decided to complain about the eligibility of bocanegra.

Believable21 Unbelievable6

Aye mate, said that last night.

They are also trying to wind us up.

5-0 GERS

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think so - they only complained to try to put presurre on us.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was mentioned the manky mob advised a certain europa league team to make a certain enquiry about someones right to play in a certain match last week I hear?

Agree0 Disagree0

Inregards to above mentioned it wouldn't surprise me if they did advise that's just there style of play.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Take a day off ye walloper - Celtic were reporting sion for playing ineligible players

wylde signs 4 year deal

Believable19 Unbelievable7

24 Aug 2011 16:23:59
wylde signs 4 year extention -stv

Believable13 Unbelievable2

Excellent news. I think in the next couple of years we'll see a real decent player in Wylde. I just hope Rangers fans give him and the other young players coming through time to develop. We have a tendency to boo players here to quickly when things aren't going well (ie Charlie Adam), though I think many Rangers fans will have learned from that.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 16:17:10
Just been on SSN that Super Ally loved having Diouf here and all the fans loved having Diouf here. I only liked him cos it wound up the other mob. He would be a total waist of money.

Believable20 Unbelievable7

Haha.
Have to agree there m8.
When he walked the length of the pitch at celtic park after getting sent off to salute the fans was brilliant.I still smile everytime I think about it.Haha

Agree0 Disagree0

I loved watching him, unpredictable,a decent player, and like weiss, the club, and us fans got under his skin.it is great when a foreign player gets the club,i would welcome him back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did nothing what a waste of money would be better signing snowy

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a pity we don't have the disposable funds great impact player...

Agree0 Disagree0

Spent more time inflating his ego than anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather players like Ness, Hutton & Fleck (True Rangers fans) were given the chance to stake there place's in the team. They need to be tried and tested to improve. Nothing against Diouf, loved having him here and he loved being here, but unless it's a foreigner like Albertz, a player who play's for the jersey plus gives 100% every time, I don't see the point in paying the big wages when we have the young players at murray park.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry guys never rated this guy not worthy of playn for the gers slow as a cert horse lol

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 16:01:40
Here's a few players out of contract at their current clubs, couple maybe getting on a bit but could still do a job for us and might welcome a fresh challenge

Alan (Braga)
Senturk (Fenerbahce)
Shevchenko (Kiev)
Forssell (Hannover)
Berg (Hamburg)

Believable9 Unbelievable15

No chance with that lot pal more chance of us starting wi beattie

Agree0 Disagree0

Forssell is looking for a club and has been on trial with Leeds so why not and Berg has been loaned out the last couple of seasons because he can't get a game for Hamburg

Agree0 Disagree0

Obv won't happen but I would luv shevchenko

Agree0 Disagree0

Andriy Shevchenko? Guessing one thing you dont understnad, WAGES

Agree0 Disagree0

Not forsell plz

Agree0 Disagree0

What i dont understand is your writing, what is understnad anyway?

shevchenko doesn't need the money he's made his millions. He may want a new challenge but more than likely he will end up in the US or Far East for the lifestyle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Senturk is contracted until 2012 at the earliest i think. I think he'd suit us to a T however, as i looked him up a month or two ago to see what his situation was. M

Worrying to see the number of folk on here worrying about money with regards to the game tomorrow.guy yesterday askin whats the point in goin if we get booted out,now this guy wantin money back.i know its hard times for us all just now but as a fan,if gers asked me to go and stick £25 thru the door just for the sake of it,id be there droppin my cash off.

if rangers want a marquee signing why not look at ajax's miralem sulejmani him and jelavic wld be deadly together not on big wages either cld pay a big transfer fee tho just a shout

Believable13 Unbelievable3

Good shout...boy has bags of talent and had a great parnership with Suarez for a couple of seasons but he's getting CL football with Ajax which doubt he will want to give up

Agree0 Disagree0

Ajax paid 16million euros for him so probley not in are price range

Agree0 Disagree0

Well just fot it would a been a good shout didn realise they paid 16 mill for him a wld rather see a marquee signing than a le fondre or any other league 1 or 2 player

Agree0 Disagree0

Did they not pay like 12m + for him. He's a first team player. Why would he leave?

Agree0 Disagree0

Gie it a break with the marquee signing, have you just learned that word and just have to use it constantly, why not just say a big name signing like everybody else mate

UEFA Rejects Maribor Protest

UEFA have rejected protest filed by

Blue bells are blue

UEFA have ruled in Rangers favour - STV website. Statement says we have no case to answer regarding the fielding of Carlos Bocanegra

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Excellent due a bit of leeway with uefa

little boy blue

Agree0 Disagree0

And rightly so I hope Rangers now go on and hammer them showing everyone that we are a side that deserves to be playing European football fair and square.

Daz

Agree0 Disagree0

Never ever anything to worry about. just a sh*tty team trying to get headlines

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems to be on a technicality (too late in putting in objection),so maybe an appeal.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 15:32:56
just a thought but if we're looking for a striker, my mate is from poland and supports Lech poznan they have a striker called Artjoms Rudņevs, he goes on about how good he is all the time, he has been banging goals in for fun 7 in 4 games, scored a hat trick in 11 mins in there last game, also scored a hat trick against Juventus last season in the Europa League they value him at 4m, he is only 23 him and Jelavić up front would be deadly

Believable15 Unbelievable3

So is the price tag, NO SALE m8, Whyte is the non-investor........ end of

Agree0 Disagree0

Good spot but I doubt we've scouted that far afield

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate, ally and john brown etc. were in south america which hardly makes a £40 flight to poland very far afield well much more than we would pay for a striker under whyte i reckon though.

Agree0 Disagree0

There lies the problem -
he would only cost £4m..

non starter..

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be another Jelavic, with those stats. Is there any footage of the lad about?

McCoist interviewed after the game though and when asked by Chick Young, if he would give Rangers youth a chance before bringing in new faces he said
"What travelling to South America and watching 12 games made me realise, is that we have some fantastic young players at this club"

Hopefully we see more of the younger lads this season Ally

Rikkisixx

Agree0 Disagree0

Just had a quick google of him and he has scored 70 in 133, not bad for a young player.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah they went to south america but havent signed anyone or been linked with anyone from there so that was a wasted journey

Agree0 Disagree0

If it takes a journey to realise your own teams potential then i think that's a good investment.
With regards Artjoms Rudnevs, I think he's premiership bound, rumour has it that Fulham are interested. We can't compete with Championship sides these days never mind Premiership one's.
Not being negative, one door close's another one opens. More player's will become available as the window close's.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 15:30:41
Anybody think we should try Gazzump Blackburns bid for George John 24yr old central defender/ defensive midfielder plays for FC DALLAS and has been getting rave reviews since were going down the American route?

Believable9 Unbelievable8

Think we've got more than enough defensively minded midfielders at the club to be honest mate, we need creativity and attacking minded players

Weiss Blames Ally

From the lad's mouth

"If anyone is to blame for me not returning to Rangers, it's Ally," he told the Scottish Sun.

"I wanted to sign, everyone knows that. When I was leaving the club in the summer he told me to my face he wanted to buy me.

"But he didn't try, not really. He just didn't do anything to get me to Rangers and for me that's so disappointing."

Wee bit sad as I think he could have done a job for us.
Good resell value as well.

Believable12 Unbelievable7

If he really wanted to sign he would have waited till he was on freedom of contract rangers do not have 4m for one player

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont have 4m to spend on weiss, rather get wylde signed up on long term contract

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen all this talk about weiss wanting to come back and him saying its allys fault, bottom line is ally doesn't think he's good enough thats why he didn't take him back,
he's the manager so lets respect his decisions

in ally I trust

Agree0 Disagree0

Fed up of everyone thinking weiss is the greatestest thing out. if he,s 1 of that players who slags managers etc in the papers then he,s no bloody loss

Agree0 Disagree0

Has he nevr thought that rangers did not think he was worth 4M as a bench warmer

Agree0 Disagree0

The boy wants t play football, why would he sit about going nothing for months ? Rangers should have bought him, simple ....

Agree0 Disagree0

Only time he was any use was when he came off the bench, another nacho novo

Agree0 Disagree0

Hav I went back in time, thot this was yesterday's news

Agree0 Disagree0

But you,re nae the manager and Ally is so SIMPLE.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Danny wilson wanted to come back too but ally let him down watch ally your nose will grow we need players who want to play for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Fed up hearing people harp on about Weiss, he had a good WC but never turned it on in the SPL except for maybe 5/6 games. never worth £4m imo

Agree0 Disagree0

Weiss, overated and as for wilson, if he wanted to play for rangers so much he should have stayed simple as that....dont need and dont want any of them....

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly, Wilson wants to play for us??? Only cause he,s nae part o kennys plans and he found out the grass wasn,t greener at anfield so he can piss off and Weiss also seems good at yapping

what is happening .on bbc it says uefa are not making a decition until after thursday and on rangers official website it says RANGERS Football Club is delighted to confirm that UEFA has rejected the protest filed by NK Maribor with regards to the ineligibility of Carlos Bocanegra.

As already indicated, the SFA confirmed Carlos was deemed eligible to play at a domestic level within the UEFA deadline in accordance with the requirements of the UEFA Regulations.

The club is pleased the matter has been dealt with swiftly as we always felt there was no case to answer and now our sole focus in on tomorrow's Europa League qualifier at Ibrox Stadium.

Both McCulloch, and Edu are fit and in the squad for Thurs, ssn. You can lay odds that one , or both will take a place in the starting eleven. That means Wylde to the bench imo. Just on Thurs, anyone agree we need an early goal, or we may start to panic and start hitting long balls up to the front two ? 4 in a row

Believable12 Unbelievable2

Edu and Lee should not be starting, end of.

I think now that Hemmings is out for 4 months, why dont we bring Leigh Griffiths in from Wolves. He is a goalscorer and could be a good foil for Jelavic...just a thought.

Looks we are going to be in a bit of a dilema over Carlos as UEFA will now not meet until after Thursdays game, if we play him again we may get fined even further. Got a feeling we wont risk it and young Perry will start, which to me aint a bad thing as he looks to be a cracking player.

Bazza Bear

Believable1 Unbelievable7

No, we can play him now because he has a full visa for the UK and is registered with UEFA. Maribors issue is that he was not eligible to work in the UK last week but he is now.

As for the lad being homesick. Have any of you ever been to Nottingham? Or the Forest Ground and training facilities?

Glasgow is one of Europes best places to see these days. That combined with our stadium and facilities would present a far more appealling package.

I am not saying we are in for him or that we would def get him but I reckon if we were to get to show him around he would not feel that homesick

So UEFA are going to rule today
over the Bocanegra saga..

so were either going to be 2-1 down
or 3-0 down going into the 2nd leg .

Knowing our luck with UEFA - ive got
a bad feeling about this one.

Also why arent they giving a ruling
on the Sion players before there
game on Thu night? or are they just
waiting on the Swiss winning so
they can throw them out and give
the Tic a reprieve?

Believable9 Unbelievable3

I would say the opposite, they are probably hoping cric go through, so they don't need to make a decision on it, as if sion go through then they will be chucked out, if Celtic put them out then UEFA can sit back n do nothing

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on (first comment) - I think that UEFA are completely useless and unwilling to make any big decision hence they will wait to see if Celtic can do their dirty work for them. By the same token I expect them to do nothing in our case unless we have blatantly broken rules in which case they will award a 3-0 rather than throw us out. I think we will win by 3 tomorrow night anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

For what has been said elsewhere it was a celtic fan who apparently alerted the slovenian embassy in London in his corinthian spirit to Bocanegra alleged inelibility.

Do these idiots not realise if scottish clubs don't do well in europe then the scottish champions could find themselves playing qualifiers before the Glasgow Fair. This could damage their own club if they were to win the league. I winder how his corinthian spirit would feel then

Agree0 Disagree0

BLATENTLY DIDNT BREAK ANY RULES - they carried out all procedures to the letter. On the matter of letters it is SFA who cleared player to play for Rangers in WRITING therefore leaving themselves open to a massive lawsuit for loss of earnings by players and more importantly the club.As for celtic fan wouldnt be surprised but this mob have a history of moaning they cracked up about a fire alarm going off when they were in their hotel when they were playing HIV`S

Dont want him anywhere near Ibrox. He is garbage. He has no pace, no skill and offers nothing really.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is old news.... he wont be back

Agree0 Disagree0

Not even worth the risk. Made very little contribution last year and is a total liability.

Agree0 Disagree0

No thanks. The man's a headcase.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love to see him back, I don't care what anyone says, if you are on loan at a club you are not as motivated to do well for them because you don't belong to that club, if we signed diouf I think we would see a different player, he is a character that we need, someone with a bit of fire

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with all of the above apart from the guy that doesnt care what anyone else says. the guy is just trouble and not worth the money. will just embarrass the club

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy is a total liability, the only thing that he did was wind up celtic fans/staff, not worth the hassle or the £30k a week he would want

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 08:21:44
I think Ally was totally right to reject Weiss... The boy is very talented but in how many games did he show that? Nt many. We can get so much better for much less than 4m (which is over priced anyway for him)

Believable18 Unbelievable13

I am sick of this debate, once and for all................ HE IS NOT THAT F**KING GOOD

Agree0 Disagree0

Someone who is talking sense. unusual of late on here

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to admit he has great potential and his pace would hurt any team in the world, you have to remember that he is only 20, he could easily be worth £10 in the next 2 or 3 years

Agree0 Disagree0

Are people so stupid ??

Yes he is a good player and had potential
Yes he is in our price range
No we can't afford hid wages

He was on apparently 50k per week at manc - all these people who say buy buy buy only see the initial cost - but the wage bill that follows can't be sustained in scot football

I for one am happy that the club survivability is been made viable rather than more extravagant spending / wage bills which got us in the s**t

i think we can win 3-0 on thurs nite

Believable10 Unbelievable9

I think getting 4 more players in is a bit adventurous. I think Ally will bring in 1 more striker before the end of the window, and it might be a deadline day signing.

Yes James beattie is still at the club but he is has been injured since pre-season

Agree0 Disagree0

Beattie still a ger, McKay bedoya and Ortiz have strengthened midfield but pretty sure ally will take as many as he can get , a couple of big names wouldn't go amiss b4 deadline
