Would anyone like to see Chris Burke back? he's got pace, skill, good crossing, still only 29 would be good on a 2 year deal 3 k a week? thoughts bears?

Believable34 Unbelievable109

Yes am sure everyone would but is under contract and will demand more that 3k a week as is probably on about 6-8k at current club

Agree1 Disagree0

Dream on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Better aff wae kathy burke mate!

Agree1 Disagree0

Mainstay of the Birmingham squad and also called up for Scotland. Don't see him coming back and imagine he is on considerably more than 3K a week. Also had his contract renewed till 2014. Saying that would take him back any day. Was a big admirer of his and don't think we should have let him go. Can cross a ball from positions you wouldn't expect a cross to make it from.

Parky

Agree0 Disagree1

Is he not under contract?

Despite playing for rangers in the past he is die hard Celtic fan so don't think he would come back especially for £3k a week. We need to remember that a lot of old players left rangers after holding them to ransom, remember Wilde demanding £20k a week now at Aberdeen lucky to be on £3k a week, Barry walking rather than taking a pay cut to play for "the team he loves", mac leaving for £18k a week despite being told his £28k a week contract would be kept in tact. Some old players returning yes but others don't think so, but Burke would be a good signing I think but like I said don't think he would come back

6)@1 burke would be good but the one winger (or through the middle now with his speed) I and most gers fans I have spoken to would prefer to see weiss back without a doubt, what do my fellow bears think? And no stick about his wages cause if we got rid of the dead would that still at gers there would be plenty of money for wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest I think we have a better player in templeton, and he, s younger.
I liked Burke, but he was good one game then bad for two, then good for three games n then injured for eight.
Templeton had his injuries, but would have him over Burke.

Agree1 Disagree0

Id rather we just developed Aird and Mckay

Agree1 Disagree0

What we need is two quality centre backs and McCoist is probably correct, we also need a different style of striker to compliment the two we have signed. We are still along way short of the quality that we will need when we eventually get back to the top and Burke would not make a difference in this respect.

Agree0 Disagree0

No nonononononono and NO

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see how you can be diehard and play for your biggest rival. I could never pull on a Celtic top! urrrghhh the thought makes me sick

Agree0 Disagree0

@ reply number 6 you state chris burke is a DIE HARD Celtic fan? He played for rangers, DIE HARDS don't play for the other team in glasgow. Yes he is a Celtic fan but not a DIE HARD as you say. I class myself as a die hard rangers man and I can assure you no amount of money would persuade me 2 play for Celtic. hand on heart I couldn't do it. I agree he wouldn't come back for 3 grand a week but if the money and the league we were in was right he would be back at rangers in a minute.

Kenny dalglish was DIE Hard RANGERS fan when not playing for CELTIC he was WATCHING Rangers!! So yes you can be DIE Hard fan and play for the other team some people think you can't but it has been done. Look at Dylan mcgeouch!

Agree0 Disagree0

Young dylan is a celtic boy, dalgleish wasnt a die hard, bring back burke, gough n hateley,. ,. kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

Die hard celtic fan with a Rangers Tattoo. Dream on Pal

Can you blame McGregor for leaving? The guy is a top-class keeper and he only has one career. Division 3 in Scotland is not going to make an international footballer a better player. I have nothing against the boys who took a pay cut and then left, they looked out for the club and then looked out for themselves. In any other job would you turn down better money and the potential to further develop yourself in favour of uncertainty and the opportunity to stagnate in your profession? McGregor took a pay cut to play a better standard of football, that says more about his ambition as a professional than anything else.

Lee McCulloch is 34/35 and people use him as an example of a Rangers man, do you think he would have stayed had he been 24/25? Sometimes we are the most unrealistic bunch of fans going.

Naismith & Argyriou told there Futures lie elsewhere. Tonight's starting line up sees Scott Gallacher in goals & the only two "trialists" if u will starting is John Daly & Nicky Law. Looks like this will probably be the team to play Albion on Sunday. Rather see Mitchell or Mcausland at RB than Faure but hey ho.

Larky Bear

Believable19 Unbelievable14

Where have you been naismith left ages ago {Ed001's Note - Kai Naismith left?}

Agree0 Disagree2

Looks like this wil be the team that starts the weekend but the rest will be rotated in to keep them match fit till september when we can get the rest of them in the team.

Once everyone is available I can see this being our preferred line up:

Bell

Foster Mculloch new cb Wallace

Law peralta McLeod templeton (when fit)

Daly little/Clark (can't decide between them two)

If Tenps isn't fit I can see Wallace moving into left wing and smith playing left back.

On paper, with that team, we should destroy the other teams in the league!

Agree0 Disagree1

I would go with that team but with Clark rather than Little. Still not convinced about Little at the higher level. Clarek has proved that he can score goals in this division.

Agree0 Disagree0

Above poster ^^^^^ I was under the impression we were only able to play 2 or 3 trialists till september? bell, foster, new cb, law, peralta, daly and or clark gives us possibly 7?

Agree0 Disagree0

A player can play as a trialist a max of 3 times, with 2 trialists only allowed per game

i was under the ipression the above poster also said. when everone is available.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see Jig being a regular CB (after Sept 1st)

I would prefer to see Hegarty & Faure in there for the time being - thought they did pretty well well together. Fro the next few weeks, I would play Andy Murdoch (or was it Mitchell) @ RB.

From what I've heard, Mohsni would be an excellent addition to the CB position

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt read it properly my apologies I thought that was the team he was expecting sunday. going on last years performances mr mccoist better have the available players up for this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, KAl Naismith left for accrinton stanley last month. {Ed001's Note - not according to Accrington Stanley he didn't! He is still on Rangers books right now mate.}

just got this info last night from a very close source to Craig Mathers but apparently we are in very close talks with Vancouver Whitecaps - but not for Kenny Miller (major twist) we were at first but he's stated that he see's his time in scotland finished and he will retire after he signs his new contract with vancouver but we are now in advanced talks with his team mate Camilo Sanvezzo -??

Believable19 Unbelievable77

Close to CM

ask him how much the CEO's salary is then and we can put that one to bed

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Sanvesso looks a decent player however doubt we would ever get a work permit for him. Miller would be a much more obvious choice.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sanvezzo has applied for a permanent residency in Canada with his aim to gain dual citizenship and represent Canada. If you thought Kenny Miller wouldn't be sold because of his form then why when this guy is scoring and assisting twice as many as Miller is would they consider selling him? A player who is happy in Canada as opposed to Miller who is reportedly looking to move his family hime to Scotland. This is made up pi55 because the Miller deal is dead.

This guy Sanvezzo is playing well and wants to play for Canada which he can only do if he stays and gains citizenship, I could see him giving that up to come to Rangers 3-4 years ago in the SPL but not to come and play in the 3rd tier of Scottish football.

Agree0 Disagree0

The OP can't even get the CEO's name right, so why should anyone believe there's any truth in this rumour?
