This is a rough translation of a Polish report which links Juanma Ortiz to Lech Poznan, but also says that Rangers could move for Lech Poznan's Bonian midfielder Stilicia Semir who is available for free this Summer.....

"Juanma Ortiz can move to Lech Poznan"

Lech Poznan have so far not brought any players in the winter transfer window. As reported it is possible that the Polish club may move for one of the players of Rangers - 29-year-old midfielder Juanma Ortiz.

The 29-year-old Spaniard is one of the players who in the winter window may leave the team champions of Scotland. As reported by the newspaper, Ortiz has two solutions - either return to his homeland or move to Lech, where the coach is his fellow countryman, Jose Mari Bakero.

Ortiz was signed by Glasgow Rangers in the summer of 2011 from UD Almeria. He has signed a three-year contract with the scottish football club, but it is almost certain that it did not fill. In the current season so far he has played in fourteen matches, but for some time Ally McCoist rarely uses the player. The last time the Spaniard played was on January 14, when he entered the last nine minutes of the match with St. Johnstone FC.

The midfielder began his professional career at Atletico Madrid. With this club he was loaned to Osasuna Pamplona and Poli Ejido. In 2007, for four years he went to Almeria.

In December, the Bosnian media was linking Stilicia Semir to Glasgow Rangers. The player’s contract expires in the Summer and he could sign a contract with the Scottish club that would have applied in the new season.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Who cares about Ortiz mate he's a waste of fresh air - did our joke of a scouting system not see he can't run an crossing ain't his forte... Loan him to big tel at caley

Agree7 Disagree1

Why did mr murray not ask the doc to come to his pad ? had to turn up my arse , keep the faith ,its coming home

Agree5 Disagree5

Offer £1.5m to that Polish team and get there main Latvian striker

Agree2 Disagree3

Oh yes this Latvian guy can play watching his youtube videos scored some crackers could be worth a try hes only 24

Agree3 Disagree1

That goal he scored against juventus what a goal that was

Rangers have appointed a Glasgow based agent with a mandate to sell Jelavic....Question is why are the club paying a third party to flog him when Gordon Smith should be more than capable of doing this? Either way Jelavic will be gone by the end of this window! I just hope that we manage to get someone half decent in the door.....Boyd would surely be good move!

Believable5 Unbelievable13

Don't call me surely

Agree6 Disagree1

This is pure fabrication. Why would they hire an agent when they could do it themselves. The only agent who can have a "mandate" to sell Jelavic is his own agent.

TTG

Agree2 Disagree4

Rangers have hired an agent to pimp Jelavic around any club that can afford him. Its well documented I'm afraid.

Agree2 Disagree3

It's well documented by whom? The only place I have seen it documented is on these forums by Celtic fans.

If Rangers needed an agent to tout Jelavic they would just ask his his dad or do it themselves by offering Jelavic to the other clubs. Why would hire an agent.

You Celtic fans do come out with some amount of whoppers!!

TTG

Agree1 Disagree3

Todays Daily Record for a start. Oh the denial you Rangers fans are in.

Agree3 Disagree0

Oof, bit of a backfire there TTG

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm glad that a stupid daily rag backed me up on this! I will even go as far to say that it's Kenny Moyes (David Moyes Brother) who has the mandate to flog him! My point was that the club shouldn't need to give an outside agent a mandate to flog our player! It should be our so called Director of Football who should be handling this! More money wasted....btw any agent can be given a mandate to promote players availability! Happens all the time!

Let's face facts, if we sell jelavic and bring in no one or some crap, old, slow and cheapy-bargain-basement type player then we may as well give the league to Celtic there and then. If we do sell jelavic for 7.5m, say, then at least 4m needs to be reinvested in a attacking mid and a good striker. That bruins on a free perhaps and someone like that guerra or, unlikely though, Rhodes.

Fraser

Believable9 Unbelievable10

Rhodes .... best one I've heard all day.

Agree12 Disagree3

No chance tight whyte will re-invest 4m in to the team a mean he has spent less than 1m on players so far when u take in ta account money brought in from selling players

Agree12 Disagree1

Might get Rhodes for 7.5 if you're lucky. Even then he'll have to play for chips and ginger beer.

Agree10 Disagree2

The chips and ginger beer are on me.

4IAR here we go.

Agree7 Disagree5

Im a celtic fan and im willing to donate money to charity if rangers get £7m or more for jelavic, Willybhoy

Agree14 Disagree4

Haha good one willyBOY but we all no celtic fans have no money... if we do get 7m you can donate to the royal british legion !
FauldsRFC

Agree10 Disagree5

Got to love celtic fans coming on a rangers rumour site saying we'll get nowhere near 7m for jelavic. But there star striker is worth the same as andy carroll. Is this the same star striker that actually scored less goals than jelavic in the spl this season? And before they start, with how many pens has he scored. They still count as goals.

Big sqaash.

Agree6 Disagree8

To be fair the boy Bruins isn't passed it in fact would love to have him at Ibrox.Attacking mid is what we need especially with Davis MIA (missing in action)!

Agree2 Disagree3

B/s the difference is we`re not desperate for the money like yous we can ask for what we want for any of our players but it looks like yous will sell jellyp15h and white will take the money and not give coisty anything from the sale yous are going to have to let white know that he can`t just can`t talk the talk without backing it up. all we know is the league is coming home to paradise and it don`t look like it will be moving for a long time, another celt that feels sorry for fat sally

Agree8 Disagree8

Why the disagree yous can`t be that deluded that white isn`t screwing yous over, c`mon lads get real

Agree8 Disagree8

Willybhoy.....

Is Hooper worth £7m? Would you donate money to charity if Celtic get £7m for Hooper?

TTG

Agree1 Disagree2

No i dont think hooper is worth £7m but hell be worth what someone wants to pay for him, which could be £7m, but im not saying jelavic isnt worth £7m im just saying that all these other clubs know what rangers position regarding finance is and wont pay what they are looking for, only in my opinion, but if he was so in demand why has no one bid the money rangers are looking for him (£10m) as of 26th January? would think that hell be sold very close to deadline day and for £6m tops

So many rumours out there here is another tax deal settled for £15m and another waiting on the side lines to take over from Whyte might only be a rumour but the best I have heard in a long time. After all did not cost him much and as a VC will sell to the highest offer

Believable3 Unbelievable10

Everybody knows Whyte is only short term, he will take rangers through the tax bills and sort it out and then sell, think this year will be a tough one but it has to happen, Keir

Agree5 Disagree4

Ah the old tax deal settled rumour! didnt whyte tell you guys weeks ago there will be no settlement? but then again would you believe him..........green jhedi

Agree9 Disagree6

First of all Craig Whyte himself has stated that HMRC are not willing to settle so thats a lie. Secondly, there is absolutley no point i any1 speculating or passing on rumours about the tax case because its a completley private matter. Only Rangers lawyers and HMRC know how strong their cases are. Wewill all find out end of Feb/start of March. End of story.

Drew

Agree14 Disagree6

To the above post.

where/when has craig whyte stated this??

jimmyger

Agree3 Disagree2

Good post drew, due to the fact that nobody knows what rangers defence is and they must have a tangible argument as its went on and on.. There also could be numerous cases in the big case, for example rangers may successfully defend themselves against some of the use of EBT's. Who knows, long few weeks ahead!

Jas

Agree7 Disagree3

Jimmyger...keep up! Your own RSA met with CW and he told them there was no scope for negotiating with hmrc. Which is a bit rich seen as how it's SDM dealing with the tax case...even I know that and I support Aberdeen...do you know anything about your club? You do know you dropped a couple of points against us last weekend?

Agree6 Disagree2

Aye right, an Aberdeen fab poundin us? Wtf is goin on. Here.. Sheep .. Do one! You do know you'd haven't beaten us at ibrox in 20 years don't u? What a clown.

Dtp89

Agree4 Disagree5

Sad state of affairs when a sheep starts to slag yous off,HH

Agree4 Disagree0

A deal will be agreeded in the tax case its only logical!how much is the land worth ibrox sits on?players sold for a fraction of there price?no place near the price hmrc would want or deem acceptable watp

Agree2 Disagree3

Rangers lawyers have nothing to do with the tax case (its MIH lawyers that are doing it all)craig whyte can only sit back and hope for the best. Also see the scottish press have west ham bidding £7.2m while their english counterparts have the bid at £5m.I cant see us selling for that remember the players cut, agent fee, tax, the sell on fee and hopefully ally getting some for a replacment not much left for mr whyte

Agree0 Disagree1

Dtp89, hello dumbass! Whats our record at Ibrox got to do with one of your own supporters knowning f**k all about his own club? You see I try to be helpful and thats the thanks I get...good luck with your tax case by the way! **Champagne on ice and new pair of dancing shoes on order** I wont however lower myself to your level and explain to you that your record at Pittodrie isnt brilliant and the last time you reached a European Cup final you didnt fare too well...

Agree2 Disagree2

Jimmyger...keep up! Your own RSA met with CW and he told them there was no scope for negotiating with hmrc. Which is a bit rich seen as how it's SDM dealing with the tax case...even I know that and I support Aberdeen...do you know anything about your club? You do know you dropped a couple of points against us last weekend?

If I was an Aberdeen fan I would be absolutely disgraced with my club, constantly living off past glories and the very very distant memories where they were once able to compete with some of the top of the table, and now they are relegation fodder almost every year, and the only time they even make an appearance is the two games against Rangers. If my team showed that much effort only twice a season I would be ashamed of them!..........but then again, this is the sheepsha**ers we're talking about here

Agree1 Disagree0

You should remember sheepy that should Rangers vanish scottish football will go with it do you think sky is going to pay money to watch ur mob against anyone

Agree0 Disagree1

You better get used to the idea of supporting a club that has to trade on past glories and struggles to get into the top six because very soon Rangers will be one.

Agree2 Disagree1

Unfortunatley for you I am old enough to remember Aberdeens glory years...I also remember how pi** poor you lot were...coming 4th or 5th every year in the league. Given the current state of affairs and the below average trialists that your all getting excited about it wont be long before 4th will be a good result for you. Sone Aluko is your best player FFS....didnt see him propelling us up the league did you?

Agree2 Disagree0

To this guy
"You should remember sheepy that should Rangers vanish scottish football will go with it do you think sky is going to pay money to watch ur mob against anyone"

Stop believing that will you...even if you do believe it we will have fun finding out soon enough. I'm happy to go down the bookies and put my house on there still being an SPL if Rangers go bust and end up in Div 3...The Celtic need us argument is wishful thinking...they are the bigger club financially and without european football for you for the next 3 years and a huge wage bill expect the quality of player at Rangers to decline rapidly. Expect Celtics bank balance to improve dramatically with the CL money they will now get. You are going to struggle to stop Celtic doing 10 in a row.....theres the fuse lit!

Agree4 Disagree1

If rangers are going to bring Boyd back I think they need someone to do all the running up front someone that I think we could get for peanuts to do this job Peter lovenkrands any thoughts ?

Believable10 Unbelievable11

Lovenkrands should never have left , always good for goals

Agree12 Disagree7

I said lovenkrands last week got shot down - go told he's on 20g a week min

Agree5 Disagree3

Shot down ? dead? lol

Agree9 Disagree1

Lovenkrands only played against celtic and the CL run which was his last year and he was trying to get a new club. he never did it enough and was inconsistent. not a fan of bringing players back and i certainly wouldnt want him or novo.

Agree7 Disagree5

Shot down and still alive to tell the tale. Are you Claros posting a but of inside info?

West Ham did not bid for Jelavic.

The Daily Mail’s Head of Sport, Lee Clayton, posted on his twitter account tonight that: “The story about West Ham and Jelavic of Rangers is NOT true, I’m told. No bid. Sam doesn’t value him that highly”.

What is happening here? Is Whyte trying to use West Ham to get a bid in excess of £7m. Sounds like it and how embarassing. No-one in their right mind would want to deal with Rangers.

Believable12 Unbelievable11

West ham have admitted the bid on their website

Agree9 Disagree10

Theres nothing on west ham site liar

Agree9 Disagree8

Bleat bleat bleat, he retweeted confirming bid, get a grip FFS

Agree6 Disagree4

It now says on twitter they bid 5m plus add ons up 7m where is the truth ??

Agree6 Disagree2

No they haven't

Agree5 Disagree6

West ham have confirmed the bid on web site, however I do agree that any chairman or director of football at clubs would like to avoid doing business with Rangers, we are very quickly becoming a laughing stock not just to celtic but to football men all over Europe, the way we have conducted our business this transfer window and the previous one has been nothing but disgraceful, Craig Whyte and Gorden Smith should be ashamed for dragging our proud club down to this level! Whatever these charlatans do we should remember that Ally Mccoist is a true Rangers man and will do his best for us inspite

Agree9 Disagree3

Been on the west hame website , cant see anything ... link ?

Agree1 Disagree5

WHAT IS GOING ON! Someone please explain. Was there a bit, how much, what is the actual cash in hand value, was Frédéric Piquionne part of deal, are West ham still interested. I ask because i've heard contrasting answers to each of these questions.

Agree2 Disagree0

It's very simple..lee clayton originally posted that there was no bid, the story was untrue. He then posted that he had misunderstood his contact and there was a bid of £5m plus add ons...he went on to post that the deal is now dead as big Sam does not value him as highly as Rangers....Don't shoot the messenger..that's what's on his twitter account.

Agree4 Disagree0

25 Jan 2012 20:23:04
Rangers are holding out til last day of transfer market to sell jelavic. This is C.W plan so he can say we didnt have enough time to bring a replacement in. Then hit us with the crap aw but we have a war chest for next season. A feel sory for mcoist

Believable15 Unbelievable4

This story is gettin boring mate!

Agree9 Disagree1

B****cks, theres nae war chest, were trying to bring in a couple of strikers on a free before he goes.

Agree8 Disagree2

I've been saying that for a week

Agree4 Disagree3

25 Jan 2012 20:04:36
Think of it this way the Jelavic sale could go 5 ways

1. We sell him for cut price, see a small amount of the money up front and manage to buy some new players.
2.We sell him for cut price and don't get anyone in because we have nothing in the bank
3.We hold out for longer and try to get more money, get an improved offer and get some new players but with less time to do so
4.We hold out for longer, keep him as it is too late and try to win the league with what we've got(with Lafferty and Whitts back later)
5.We keep Jela and get a 1 or 2 players on loan with the Weir Fleck wages (ideally)

We have to think of it this way, the Jela money will not pay of the tax debt even if Whyte gets money for Jela we don't know how much goes to Ally and whatever happens we will keep supporting the Gers but we want to know what is going to happen and not have to wait untill February 1st to find out!

Believable11 Unbelievable1

The Jelavic money will go to providing cashflow for Ranger's day to day business expenses until May.

Agree6 Disagree2

You're also forgetting about the money tied up in Ortiz, Bedoya and McKay, who are not going to feature and who Ally signed (we think) Whyte would be entitled to tell Ally 'move those 3'' or no signings......that is if Ally 'did' sign them....McKay cant even feature against Arbroath or take yesterday....not selected in a BOUNCE game.

Agree6 Disagree0

If we actually had any sense we would not be touting Jelavic to anybody and everybody as in a few months time he shall be on th Euros 2012 stage. If he's half as good as most believe, 2or 3 good performances there shoukd justify CW/ RFC's £10M valuation which right now...playing in the backwater which is the SPL...seems excessive!

Agree9 Disagree2

Will he get a game at the euro's? third choice i think. green jhedi

Agree4 Disagree5

Is that the same Jelavic that has scored 2 goals in 17 games for Croatia. Wonderfull international record. Not.

Agree3 Disagree5

What's Gary hoppers international record?... What's that.. He doesn't have one? He's not good enough? Noooo, your kidding? Pffff keep kidden yourself timmy

Dtp89

Agree7 Disagree4

Is that the same Jelavic that has scored 2 goals in 17 games for Croatia. Wonderfull international record. Not.

Yes, the same Jelavic who has 2 international goals in 17 internationals. The same Jelavic who has 2 more international goals and 17 more international appearances than Hooper. Also, as it stands 2 more SPL goals than any other teams top goalscorer. Your point is?

Agree3 Disagree2

Dtp89....Chelsea and Rangers fan here. You sound pathetic mate, jelavic is a sub for Croatia and look who Hooper is up against for an England spot?Jelavic would never even get a cap for England but Hooper will when he comes down here. You lot up there can be very sad at times.rise above it and show some pride instead of making an ass of yourself by trying to justify that Jelavic is not rated in England anywhere near as high as Hooper. That is a cold hard fact, anyone who know 5hit about football will tell you that. The press, scouts and press all talk about Hooper, championship clubs talk about Jelavic. Can you imagine him at Chelsea, he wouldn't get the bench.Grow some nuts mate.

Agree4 Disagree8

Gary Hooper is irrelevant to this argument. The argument is whether Jelavic will be worth more money after Euro 12.

Dtp89 you really need to grow up a bit.

Agree3 Disagree4

The number of caps Gary Hooper has or hasn't got and the number of goals he has scored is totally irrelevant as to how much Jelavic will be worth after Euro 2012.

Agree3 Disagree0

Rangers and Chelsea fan. jelavic would score more goals than torres. how about a swap deal

Agree6 Disagree1

The same Gary Hooper that was named in the initial 40 man squad for england u21 last year that didn't make the cut cos he want good enough. Hate to tell u mate, doesn't matter which league u play in, or how big ur country selection/competition is .... If ur good enough you will be there! It's all relative mate. Look at the previous posts. That wasn't the point being made. Jay

Agree1 Disagree2

We need him for the Champions League smartass. He wouldn't play for a club he could buy himself anyway.

Agree0 Disagree1

Jelavic would not score more than Torres as he wouldn't even get in the squad.

Agree1 Disagree5

You heard it here first. torres to buy Rangers

Agree2 Disagree3

Hooper was injured which is why he wasn't in the squad.

Agree0 Disagree1

Rangers and Chelsea fan...I watched Chelsea at Norwich on Saturday and boy were they bad, and remember before the Russian went there you lot were going under. Chelsea will never be as big as Rangers, so stick to Stamford Bridge mate......

Agree1 Disagree1

You say look at who Hooper is competing against for an England place well lets have a look

Defoe - rubbish imo
Carroll - bigger flop than Franny Jeffers
Zamora - not consistent
Owen - past it
Crouch - never had it

I cant think of any other contenders ... the only really good ones are Rooney,Bent and Stuzza. so its not as if he is up against 7 or 8 world class strikers for a spot but this is just my opinion.

McCoist has already described a reported £6m bid from the Hammers for the Croatian international as "not nearly enough"

There for, if was the one and only McCoist that said this, then is cw the one to knock back 7m reported tonight or ally?

mac-the-ger

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Really hope not as Boyd offers nothing to the team he's lazy. But as we short in that department may needs must

Agree4 Disagree5

Nothing to the team? All time SPL top scorer?

Agree4 Disagree1

He`s lazy but he scores goals, im a celtic supporter and if u want a ball to fall sombody in the box its boyd, Keir

Agree5 Disagree4

Dont believe this, Boyd gives nothing to the team, a career record of a goal every 2 games....101 goals in 143 apperances, what more do you want.He is the sort of player who turns 1-1 games into wins....ffs short memories

Agree1 Disagree0

101 in 143 ? enough said , Keir

Kris Boyd will sign a deal with Rangers until the end of the season.. Rangers have agreed a short term contract with Boyd and his representatives and will release details on Wednesday

Believable5 Unbelievable12

Which Wednesday?

Agree3 Disagree0

It is Wednesday, or are you meaning next week. Where you get this information from m8 ?

Agree3 Disagree0

Hurry up then....only four hours to go and it's Thursday

Agree4 Disagree0

Window shuts Tuesday so that's bit hard

Agree4 Disagree1

That's a good one. Next Wednesday will be outside of the transfer window.

Agree2 Disagree1

He's a free agent so wouldn't matter about window?

Agree6 Disagree0

Just what i had heard tonight but think they were talking about next week?

mac-the-ger

Agree0 Disagree1

I'm not agreeing with the rumour here but Boyd could be signed next Wednesday. He's a free agent and can be signed outside of the transfer window.

Agree4 Disagree1

No it wont
Scotland has extra day for dealings
so deadline is Feb 1 not 31 jan

as for Boyd he still wont join as his wage demands are to high
start being realistic before posting
anyone wanting over £7k a week is a non starter

Agree3 Disagree1

Think you will find bristol city are signing him.

Agree4 Disagree4

Boyd can sign at any time , he is out of contract and not connected to any club

Agree6 Disagree0

Do yous knw anythin about football, Boyd can sign nxt month if he wants as he's a free agent so the transfer window doesn't apply to him....think yous need to read up on the rules before to jump down other gers

Agree4 Disagree1

Kris boyd is a free agent,,,, so the window doesnt matter for him,,,

Agree3 Disagree1

Might be wrong here, but since Kris Boyd is a free agent he will not be bound by the transfer deadline, there for he can sign next wednesday or any day after the window closes for that matter,

Agree2 Disagree2

If he doesn't get a club then surely any wage we offer is better than no wage

Agree2 Disagree1

25 Jan 2012 19:32:05
Its no secret that Whyte never
wanted McCoist, he's waiting for the
fans to turn on Ally. Thats why he's
gave Ally next to nothing, its part of
his regime change.

Believable10 Unbelievable8

...who does he want then Billy Davies?

Agree6 Disagree4

Bloody conspiracy theories. does anyone else feel the solidarity of our club has wavered somewhat this last few months. here's an idea, support your team. this is a time for us to stick together people, for the good of the club. no more conspiracy talk!

Agree7 Disagree0

CW has already spoken to Billy Davies according to his father.he will be next Rangers manager.

Agree3 Disagree9

Ideally he wants some Middle Eastern Sheikh or a Russian oil tycoon. Fairly sure he would settle with Roman Abramovich!

Agree1 Disagree1

Davies's father, jellavic's father, you only signing daddy's boys now? green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree5

I wrote the post, cause I feel Ally has been pissed aboot stupit by Craig Whyte. Hung oot tae dry springs tae mind. A couple of duff signings is normal, a wee bit of cash tae back up his good signings is needed pronto! Mon Super Ally! Deserves at least a couple of years!

Agree1 Disagree0

if jelavic goes and there is nobody brought in,ally has got to walk if he has any self respect left, otherwise it would only prove the point that he has been conning the fans just as much as whyte and smith...trueblue...

Believable8 Unbelievable5

No it is CW that's conning all of us - Ally included. Give him some cash and let's see what he can do!

Agree9 Disagree2

A don't like to slate ma fellow fans. But what a lot of sh1t. Obv ally would WANT to replace him and would if he gets money to do so. The fkn guy has been a hero at our club and has been ther for years, and some idiot negative fan thinks he can tell him to walk for somethin that wouldn't be his fault.

Dtp89

Agree5 Disagree4

His team has shipped 19 points in 2 month .he added players in the summer which he now wants shot of,can't motivate the players to perform for him.Who else's fault is it ?Take your Ally colored glasses off pal!

Agree5 Disagree3

Idiots if it wasnt for cw and murray was still there things would be alot worse

Agree3 Disagree1

13 points have been shipped, not 19 as people love to ramble on about. aint a lot a team can do to stop 6 points being gained on them when they have 2 games in hand!!!!!!! we have no creativity since naisy went out. not mccoists fault naisy got crocked. okay ortiz and mckay havent worked out but every manager in the world makes bad signings, he has also signed 2 great centre halfs for us. get behind coisty!!!!!!!!

having a watch of the africa cup of nations where i think we should have many scouts out watching, there was a game just there and zambia have a striker called muyata*spelling* who i think did very well, scored a well taken goal, wouldnt be dear, also only 20, worth a try with these type of boys

schoolboy/

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Can ppl stop posting about african nations cup and how we should have scouts there wedont get used to it and stop. thinking of what we could have done this is a rumour site

Emmanuel mayuka i think, at young boys 16 goals in 43 games.

Agree0 Disagree1

We have no money. How can we afford to send scouts half way around the world?

Agree1 Disagree0

Signing players who have international commitment during a domestic season is no use imo. theres both toure brothers away from city, kalou, drogba, mikel n if he was fit essien from chelsea to name a few. imagine we had celtic at parkhead, hearts at ibrox n dundee utd away whilst an important first team player if off playing in this tournament.....

ally mccoist is becoming more nd more frustrating with events and interference at ibrox and according to journalists on superscoreboard ally could well walk away.

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Then who would we get eh?
I tell you CW needs to start acting like a Chairman of RFC NOT a used car salesman!
He needs to start communicating with the fan base or he will miss out on a lot of season ticket money for next year.

Agree8 Disagree2

I posted this last week and got shot down, if no backing in window he walks, and he will then dish the dirt.

Agree3 Disagree1

Strong rumour Ally had his bags packed ready to leave and David Murray came to Murray Park to talk him out of it

Agree7 Disagree3

Also just heard on the radio that ally had a meeting with david murray two weeks ae well as a 1 hour discussion at murray park yesterday. make what u want of that.

Agree1 Disagree1

Peeps I think Mr Murray is behind this and a clever piece of Busniness is about to com out of this . I stated last Friday there is something is going on at Ibrox . Rangers sacking the Refinance Director Phil Betts ... appointing A . Ellis . Tax Result is known peeps and steps are in place for the Announcement . Good or Bad i dont know my guess is its a bit of Both . Mr Murray coming back looks dodgy but i think Mr Whytes a cover and hes is hired by Mr Murray . But thats is my own Opinion.

Agree4 Disagree6

If someone can identify the single shareholder in what was WaiveTower then a certain mystery may be unravelled. I find it strange no paper or TV journalist has gone digging there as a degree of information can e easily found on Companies House that shows Whyte is a Director but NOT a shareholder. So legally the shareholder is the individual who actually owns Rangers!

Kris Boyd could re-join Rangers before the weekend, he knocked back a bid from Houston Dynamo after some last minute phone calls to an Ibrox official. This was on twitter

Not saying that this is a certainty, and before anyone asks i got this from a post that one of my friends made on my face book wall he copy it from twitter.

Rangers reject bid from West Ham for Jelavic, £ 7mil !! Let the bidding begin, here we go Bears.......... AndyPandy63

Believable3 Unbelievable8

Aye, here we go. The more Jellyfish is sold for the more Whyte can siphon into his coffers. Don't for a minute think that Ally will see any of this money.

Agree5 Disagree6

Aye but how much up front ? thats the big question?

he will go for 8.5m more than half up front because ranagers still owe rapid money from him.

Agree2 Disagree8

Better taking what we can asap, because when we go into administration will get half that when its a fire sale!!!!!!

Agree4 Disagree2

Rangers don't owe rapid anything for jelavic. This has been confined by rapid so stop talking p###

Aston Villa to put forward an interest in Jelavic, McLeish may tempt McCoist/Whyte (who knows whos running the show) with possible player swaps included.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I think we should know by now ally mccoist has no say he's a puppet or should that be a muppet?

Agree4 Disagree6

Villa have no money, mcleish was told to reduce wage bill to bring folk in

Agree1 Disagree1

How will you pay a swapped player's wages? Even squad players at premiership teams are out of our wage range.

Agree1 Disagree1

Ally McCoist is a true Rangers man and the clubs all time top goal scorer. He has only ever given his heart and soul, his full effort and his desire to win for Rangers, he is regarded as a legend amongst the vast majority of true Rangers fans. Even a number of Celtic fans hold the man in a certain regard, so for you to describe him as a " muppet" is nothing short of shameful a nd f*****g rediculous man, you should hang your head in shame. AndyPandy63

Agree7 Disagree7

Spot on AP63.

Agree4 Disagree5

Well said andy

Agree4 Disagree3

Super Ally should be given support from every Rangers fan, he is just in the job, working under the hardest circumstances (which are nothing to do with him or Mr Whyte) in our Club's recent history. Give them both a chance, we cant spend any large amounts untill the HMRC case is settled, if we did and could not pay a much reduced figure to HMRC would mean certain administration for our Great Club. I dont want to see that happen, do you? We are all being scared sh11less by much inflated figures being leaked by HMRC, which I find hard to believe. Im no tycoon but dont you think HMRC would rather settle for say £10 million, than receive 1% to 10% of the suppose 49 million they say we owe them? Which brings me to ask, who is actually liable for the HMRC money, as far as I have read these payments were made through MIH, so it may be the case taht they as the parent company are liable for all of some of the monies owed to HMRC.

Ritchie712

Agree5 Disagree1

Andypandy63 celtic man here and yes many celtic fans hold Ally in high regard, great servant to gers, never any bother, never a contract issue when he could have made big money back down south and now trying his best with hands tied behind his back.
Even Walter jumped ship because he knew it would be a near impossible task and given the level of player mciost has been forced to look at no one could have done any better.
I actually hope he is a success,( not this season):-) but through time if he gets it.

Agree6 Disagree1

Well said mate but heres hoping it happens this season lol

To the above poster,HMRC will wind us up rather than accept 10p in the pound. They do this to send a message to everyone,or else everyone would just stop paying and offer 10%.we as the players employers are liable for the tax.Rangers are appealing an assessment of £49 plus penalties.this is not a court case,we're not on trial. We're querying a bill. This week,HMRC have issued a winding up petition to Portsmouth for 1.6M.When they reach this stage, they don't do deals. If we're found liable the bill can be enforced immediately.it may not be though. Also, the bill may be reduced by the tribunal.at the moment, nothing,as far as we know, has been decided.

10 years? So jelavic was playing professional football when he was 14? Granted wee hooper is a good striker, but jela is a better player. Even opposition defenders speak about how jelavic is the most difficult player to play against.

"West Ham have offered £7m for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic

The English Championship leaders have been in negotiations with the Ibrox club for more than a week.

Rangers though, believe the 26-year-old is worth more and could hold out in the hope of an improved bid from elsewhere before the transfer closes next week.

Manager Ally McCoist wants any deal concluded quickly so that he has time to find a replacement."

According to Rangers Twitter, we are interested in signing Kevin Davies from Bolton. Dont reckon we could afford it, just passing on what it says.

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Re Davis

"The 34-year-old admitted earlier this month that he was facing an uncertain future.

Davies has slipped down the pecking order this season and is now spending much of his time on the bench, which has alerted other clubs to his possible availability.
......that Sunderland, Wolves, West Brom are all monitoring his situation whilst Old Firm duo Celtic and Rangers are also keen...........
But whilst Bolton would consider selling him this month, it is not believed that they would entertain a loan deal - which most of the clubs interested would seem to prefer." If accurate, think we would only be looking at a loan deal.

Would be a great buy for short term!

Not posted in a while but have been keeping myself updated with everything. I see Jelavic may go for £7.2m but I read that VAT has to be paid on this of £1.2m, also despite denials, Rangers still owe Rapid £1m so I make that Rangers get £5m, now as Jelavic never asked for transfer he is due a loyalty bonus, plus there is agents fees to be paid so that could take another £1m+ off leaving £4m for Whyte to run club with and pay day to day expenses plus all players wages. Crucial point is Ally will never see a penny of this for new players. Whyte is just using Ally as a patsy. Neil T

Jelavic also stated, not that you accounted for it, that he is quite happy to stay at Rangers especially if it means he gets some peace.

Claros and the Dutch boy Bruins would be mistakes.

McCoist has filled our squad with mediocrity, IE Bedoya, McKay, Ortiz, Healy and now posssibly Claros and Bruins.

We need to be clearing these guys out to free up money for better quality players who are going to start every week rather than just squad players.

Believable12 Unbelievable6

Who buys these players? Will this be pay-off's ? You don't know how these things work, remember this is not football manger. Real life is very different. Give ally and his team a break it is a very hard situation he is working in. If you think you can do better go and buy rangers or just go to a game.

Agree4 Disagree5

Your havin a laugh, this is our Market. We need the Jelavic money to survive, don't expect ally to get much of it.

Agree9 Disagree2

But ally's buying these guys! if he's not then he should say so and get the fans respect, and if so who is?

Agree4 Disagree3

Agree with above. You just can't sell players if they don't want to go.they'll almost certainly want better wages than what they're on,and a pay off for leaving will be demanded(remember Beattie,£1m,was reported).Balde sat in Celtics stand rather than go because they refused to pay up his contract.Basic rule of thumb,The players you want to keep are the players other clubs want, and the ones you want rid off, nobady wants, for the same reason you want rid of them.I.E. they're not good enough.

Agree6 Disagree1

Does not really matter who is buying these guys. Fact of the matter is this season we have filled our squad with mediocre squad players.

Take this seasons signings- Bartley, Wallace, Ortiz, Bedoya and McKay - THATS 5

And Last Seasons- Weiss, Foster and Jelavic- THATS 3

Last season's signings gave us far more quality than we have now.

Agree6 Disagree2

Bocanegra. Goian?

Metioned two along with Wallace have been good, not forgetting Aluko.

We also signed Beattie last year, look at him now?

Agree3 Disagree0

How can you say signing claros and bruins would be a mistake? unless you see them train everyday how can you tell? how many of you said that about aluko now you're all loving him.

Mr Blonde

Agree4 Disagree0

25 Jan 2012 09:55:15
I think they should just keep Jelavic dont bother going for another striker just play McKay it will be like a new signing and just swap Healy and McKay now and again then by that time we should have Lafferty & Naismith back and try get Claros ,Jaager,Bruins to boost defence and midfield

Sell Broadfoot and Ortiz that should help to get Jaager but they should also see if there are any other players out there without clubs maybe one or two more
only 6 days left of the transfer window so hopefully Ally can do somthing i know hes not got much cash to play with but he will get someone in

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Might be an idea to play our new signing Mervan Celik alongside Jelavic.

Our form has been awful since losing Naisy to injury so perhaps Bruins can fill that void with Claros adding some steel to midfield where McCulloch has failed.

Agree4 Disagree5

Gordon smith"i thought jaeggar was playing today i dont know why he iznt you will have to ask ally" from the DIRECTOR of football operstions! any bells ringing...anywhere!

He still owns murray park so imagine he can come and go when he likes.also keeps him as a major creditor if we lose the tax case. along with whyte who owns the 99 year lease on ibrox and the players contracts, along with being director of rangers holdings who rangers owe 22 million having sir david murray as the next major creditor if the club are forced into administration cant be a bad thing id imagine, remember it took quite a while for sir david and whyte to do due dilligence, haha.

Apparently if the jaager deal falls through we will set our sights on south African right back Saxa. He is currently playing in the belgium leauge and had well over 50 caps for his country Also featuring in the 2010 world cup.

J91

Believable4 Unbelievable3

His name is Gaxa and he'll cost a transfer fee whereas Jaager would be free. If we don't sign Jaager we wont sign Gaxa in my opinion.

I've heard that some guy Danny webber is being looked at by rangers, who is he ed? {Ed001's Note - used to play for Watford, played for them in the English Prem, but his last club was Portsmouth and he was released by them due to the state they are in.}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

I think he was at man u as a kid, then went to Watford and had a good season about three years ago, and suddenly disappeared of the radar. Three years ago he was quick and lively, but that was three years ago

Agree1 Disagree2

Poor boy! Out of the frying pan into the fire!

Agree1 Disagree1

Awful player. was ok when he was younger because he was lightning quick but he has lost all his pace and he has nothing else.

Agree4 Disagree0

He was last at QPR ed {Ed014's Note - That was on a trial.

Agree2 Disagree0

Didnt celtic give him a trial last year ?

Agree1 Disagree1

His agent was trying to angle him a trial with Celtic, Lennon said that there was nothing in it. He really is awful.

first time posting
just heard from a friend in new Zealand that rangers are signing a young goal keeper from there apparently a rising star there

Believable4 Unbelievable3

We don't need another keeper we've got greegsy n alexander who's more than capable of fillin in for greegsy .. we should b lookin for strikers if they last longer than a day on trial especialy now that west hams preparen a offer the now for jellavic .

Agree2 Disagree0

Eh we don't need a keeper? i think we do.considering alexander is 34 and his past few appearances have been sketchy .... all you people ever want to hear about is what striker we are going to sign.........more to a team like

Ally is doing the best with what he has. Our scouting system must be a laughing stock by now. We should be scouting Africa and South America, some amazing talent out there and there are all real athletes. Surely we can bargain buy decent players from these regions ???

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Agree with the above post 100%. Ally is doing the best with what he has. So sick and tired of people on this page saying Ally needs to go, I would be willing to bet that these same people were not saying this earlier in the season when we were winning constantly. I call you fair weather fans and your exactly whats wrong with a large section of the ibrox crowd right now, only cheer when we are winning. Its when the teams form drops that they need the full backing of the fans the most and all you do is moan. FAIR WEATHER FANS ARE NOT NEEDED.

Mr Blonde

Agree10 Disagree3

Great thinking! Lets scout players from countries that need work permits.

And yes he's doing his best with what he's got, but what Ally's got is a hell of a lot more than 10 other managers in the SPL. So maybe his best isn't good enough. I don't mind dropping points in the persuit of playing good passing football, but we don't even try to do that.

pappy

Agree4 Disagree1

Mr tight doesn't have the money to spend sending our scouts to these places.

Agree4 Disagree0

Well said mr blonde ... The airport bear !

Agree2 Disagree0

The only problem with scouting players in Africa and south america is they won't get work permits

Agree4 Disagree1

Some real talent in the UAE. All for very small amounts of money too. Ally is working under the hardest conditions of any manager.

GDog
WATP

Agree3 Disagree2

Ally couldn't spot a player if it hit him in the face with a wet kipper.mr Lennon has proven time after time how to spot young talent.p.s the African players wouldn't drop wages to come and play for rangers. Hail hail rusty the tim

Agree2 Disagree4

Its not Ally that needs to go its tight arse Whyte that needs to go if he cant do anyting to help Rangers then i am sure there is someone else out there who can .Its better to get him out now before he ruins Glasgow Rangers its like having another Paul Le Guen in charge ffs

Agree2 Disagree2

Ally must stay!!
Hoodbhoy

Agree7 Disagree2

Remember because of our work laws they need to have eu passports or have lots of international caps to be able to sign, which can be a major ptoblem with a lot of promising kids from that areas.

Agree1 Disagree1

Wats the point of a scouting network atall when we cani afford to offer them a contract enyway fs jimmy chung

Agree2 Disagree0

Mr Lennon has Signed some right bumpers aswell, daryl Murphy and banada cost 4 milion between them

Agree4 Disagree1

Hi, I totally agree, we have to cut our cloth. Ask yourself this, who in their right mind would extend credit to our great club at the moment, not many. Sir David Murray was one of the best Chairmen we have had early in his tennure, but make no mistake this is HIS legacy. Mr Whyte was the only man who was willing to ATTEMPT to clear Murray's mess!
Its sickening to remember Murray's boasts of every £5 they spend we will spend £10. The mans ego is fairly comming back to haunt our wonderful Club now, actions speak louder than words Sir David. Mr Murray was only too happy to hold court in the media in those days, what has he said on the state he has left our Club in...........absolutely nothing, changed days Mr Murray!

Agree3 Disagree2

If we unearth talent in South America or Africa there are ways around work permits.
Its all down to being run by a FOOTBALLING MAN. Look at the talent Celtic have brung in in the last few years from China etc, equally hard to get a visa/work permit from but they are signing youngsters on the loophole of they are of exceptional talent. These are the rules we should be bending to bring quality just like they are.

Apparently our future star is one of the management teams sons I haven't heard who's it is but he is supposed to be a phenomenal player but the thing is that he is not even in the youth system and got rejected when he was younger for being to small but he is supposed to be lightning quick and a good finisher of the ball

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Who told u that story lool

Agree5 Disagree0

This is possibly the funniest one yet.

If this lad is supposed to be as talented as you say we would of heard of him. There is no way that he could be kept a secret from everyon, its Glasgow Rangers not the bloody CIA

Agree2 Disagree1

Jelavic also states he still loves playing for the champions.

The media don't know when to stop, ever since this guy signed for Rangers they have constantly linked him with a move away from Rangers.

EVERY good player that arrives in Scotland is constantly linked with the EPl, it's as if they are driving them out of the SPL.

The media are what is wrong with Scottish football.

just read in the express that jagger is going two leads as he has waited two long for a contract at rangers whyte is really doing ma head in a ust two look forward two going watch my club an see them singe players but not with whyte in charge even the bank werent this bad at least if we had two sell our best players for i bank the younger players would be getting there game an am sure they would cope and dun better whyte need two get two fxxx

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Shut up he came on trial on Monday

Agree1 Disagree9

Good to hear our fans how saying what i have been thinking since the club was "HANDED" to whyte.at the moment the club has no money as it has been frozen by the courts and whyte has no money as he had to get a loan to buy the club.i fear for the club until we all as fans get together and all start saying this is not good enough."WHYTE" is only hear to "MAKE" money not to spend it.

Agree4 Disagree1

Can a just say something though, does anybody know whyte personally? ............ No didn't thinkso!
and just to clarify I DON'T either so nobody has the right to jump on anybody's back! whyte maybe a d**k in your eyes but he has shown interest to his boyhood heroes when nobody else was! so in otherwords he CARED! this is a different ball game for him, aye fair enough he's an asset stripper but he wouldn't do it to rangers ‘well i hope not lol‘ anythin could happen so back him and the rest of this proud football team, as i posted before he might just be sayin we don't have money for a reason which could be pointless spending with a tax case looming which could result in him losing money etc etc Blame david murray for this mess! if he is a true bear then tell me this if rangers get hit with the tax bill will he be willing to help rangers out? Anybody? Watp

Agree7 Disagree3

Whyte is a venture capitalist who is here to stabilize rangers and make them a more appealing proposition for someone else.obviously making money in the process.anyone who had visions of a big investment in the team needs their head read.he has spent what he had to to try keep up appearances and try keep the club running to a certain level.with all the money Celtic have spent I can say quite easily that on our day we have no worries.get behind the team, especially now when we are on a bad run.this is when supporters really count.

Agree2 Disagree3

If Whyte wanted to make money, why would he invest in a Scottish Football team? He's already funded a large turnover in staff on a budget that is unknown until the tax case is resolved - what more do you want?

Agree3 Disagree2

I was gonna reply to watp but i cant be bothered when the crooked house of cards come tumbling down there will still be idiots on here :in whyte we trust " give me peace

Agree2 Disagree2

He bought the club for a penny,we have sold boogie, miller, got weir and fleck off the wage bill amongst several youth players loaned out/released,he did renew contracts for mcgregor, whittaker, davis and papac.he has spent money on ibrox but at the same time mortgaged the catering facilities at ibrox.I would never at any time diss whyte for how he has been as he is clearly working hard to fight this tax case, until such times the outcome is known we will continue to penny pinch,he has to remain tight lipped regarding a lot of things im sure for the benefit of the tax case even tho the fans are demanding answers but he did say to judge him when the tax case is over. .he has backed us to a certain level in the transfer market but like i said it would probably even itself out with freed up wages with other departures.I for one will continue to defend the job the guy is trying to do as he took this on when most wouldnt touch it.regardless of whether we win or lose the tax case he will make a profit(he is the next major creditor to rangers so holds a very strong hand in the negociations if hmrc win the case,.so yes i think he may be a supporter of some description but will make money from this.

Agree4 Disagree0

Is it Whytes fault that a supposed lover of the club(Martin "fake-tan" Bain)ringfenced some of the clubs money?

TTG

Agree0 Disagree1

Aye good don't reply then, and am no the idiot! a didn't say a trusted whyte, am just aayin that there's nothin else that can be done basically, the idiots are the ones who think they know about everythin when evdrybody clearly doesn't except for the courts! so you csn just stop yer critisisin towards me and get a grip of yourself mate, back the team and the directors even if ye like them or not jeez oh!

I heard a Rumour today that West Ham can only raise £5m for Jelavic and have offered McCoist Carlton Cole as a makeweight in signing Jelavic.
I don't think hes particularly great but he could probably do a job in SPL
the source is my mates dad who is an agent and he said he heard it from 2 different people today (Tuesday) and also that Rangers are looking to sign Gary Kenneth!!
Hope its all bulls**t!

Believable4 Unbelievable11

Muppet!! do you not know that carlton cole is valued at 10-12 million!

Agree8 Disagree3

Carlton cole is valued at £10- 12m by whom?!? You do always get a top laugh on here I must say! I hope we do sign Gary Kenneth- he can play up front instead!

Agree3 Disagree2

Proved my point ya muppet! not got a clue!

Agree2 Disagree2

And why would Cole want come anywhere near rangers?

Agree4 Disagree1

Liverpool were quoted 20 million for Carlton cole 2 summers ago allthough his value will have dropped there is still no chance

J91

Agree3 Disagree0

Frédéric Piquionne is the striker that will be used to fund the jellyfish deal 5 million + Piquionne

Agree1 Disagree1

Carlton Cole aint gonna be used as part of any transfer, especially to us, he is getting a good wage at West Ham and he is out of contract at the end of the season so he can shop around and find a Bosman transfer, Turkish clubs sniffing around and I am pretty sure he will get paid a pretty penny there, as for him being worth 10-12 million? If thats the case then Jelavic is worth 25, cole has only scored something like 50-60 goals in his career and has been a pro for 10 years! In otherwords he is s***e!

Agree1 Disagree1

Carlton cole was being watched by premiership clubs and west ham rejected bids of around 4 million in the summer for him so i doubt they would give us him plus 5 million for jelavic.

i know we cant afford anything. but if anything, Pascal Fiendouno is worth a trial. He is a striker and who is what he need. Ripped celtic too with Sion even though he wasnt mean to be there. He is free agent. prem teams may go for him. Dunno if a deal can be struck though since he is a ACON.
Anyone agree?

Believable2 Unbelievable6

He didn't sign for celtic because of wage demands, all you can offer is an extra pickle with his fish supper, which he would need to buy first

Agree5 Disagree3

He was on trial at Celtic last summer but couldn't agree a deal as he was looking for too much wages.Heard he was looking for over £30,000 per week so can't see him signing if he's still looking for the same.
