Heard a rumour that rangers have put out to tender 4G mobile antenna on every 5 or so rows of seats. will cost us around 1 million but will make easy profit long term. So much for us not having money and going into financial free fall.

As i've said before, i truly think rangers should sell josh windass. If we definitely get £3 million for him, take it and run! I truly believe now anyway, that our on loan winger, ryan kent, will most definitely play wide right, instead of windass!
On his game, young ryan kent looks a very direct, exciting winger, with some terrific skills! I was reading that jim o'brien, reckons that kent is very similar to ex celtic winger, aidan mcgeady. Although i don't particularly like mcgeady, i did admire his talent, so if the comparison is correct, i'd be pretty pleased that we have signed ryan kent!

I can assure you pal, windass has played wide right for rangers on a few occasions! Under warburton he had played spells wide right also. Jamieb murphy currently plays wide left for us just now, candeias has moved in one position and windass has featured out right and that's even under our current manager steven gerrard! What have you been watching pal?

After Waghorn selling for the best part of 10 million must make us think guys. Is Windass worth as much as Waghorn? and why did this board sanction his sell for that amount and sell Barrie McKay for 500k when 6 months earlier they were talking 6 million. We are being duped her and the loans don't look much better than the tripe Newcastle sent up with the exception of vukic. We need a true blue like Walter, Ian Ferguson or Bomber Brown on the board.

Simple the club have no money, only season ticket income and can’t knock back offers to plug gaps. I agree players have left for a pittance and don’t get me started on the whole King court fiasco. Yes players like Waghorn and McKay had some dark days at Rangers but still had a value that should have been enforced.
I will be called a ‘tim’ or a fake fan etc for posting this but I think those type of responses highlight the bottom base negligence of some of the ‘real Rangers men’ we seem to have on here.

“Fans” screaming how crap a player is one minute, then demanding £millions if we sell him. bonkers.
Unless I am mistaken, the board did not turn down £5m for McKay or Waghorn. The manager decided they were not good enough (perhaps he read the experts on here) and the were sold to the highest bidder.
As for Windass, who is going to replace his goals from last season cause we will need a huge slice of luck if we want to find a proven scorer (like Windass) for £3m.

Here we go again, always looking to blame the board, the manager, the wind direction - Waggy was chased out the club by fans offering to drive him to Ipswich as wasn’t ‘Rangers Class’ and boy goes and does well, and all of a sudden it’s someone within the blue corridors of power’s fault. Fact is, good players (not great players) are struggling to come to a club like ours and perform consistently against the weight of a jersey that is as demanding as carrying 50,000 fans a week. Fans who want instant success and to return to the Glory day’s within 2 seasons of coming up from the lower divisions.
I get it, I’m a fan desperate for the same things, but in my brief moments of reality, building a team to match Sceptic is getting tougher by the season, not easier given the financial gulf.
We have got to give Stevie G time, and his players and actually start supporting them to develop and progress. We cry out for the ‘young crop’ to be given a chance then slate them after their first bad touch or performance, we praise the new signing until he misses a sitter, we make up chants and songs about managers with magic hats, then step all over that hat after a loss against Hamilton
I know it’s not easy, but we need to work together to rebuild this team, but supporting in the terraces.

Hearing a lot about us not signing decent players. even the filthy crew are saying they can't compete now with transfers so we will have to just be patient and shrewd in the market. Money's not flowing and there must only be a few decent players we can afford. Not wanting to sound all doom and gloom but I think that's where we and Scottish football will be for a long time to come.

Windass is either hot, or not. He's not been helped by gerrard playing him in a terrible position though, but even when he plays in the 10, he's either scoring and assisting for fun and looking a £10M player, or he's staggeringly quiet/ terrible.

I’m not his biggest fan but I think Stevie G is nullified his assets by playing him on the right he should be a number ten all day long in my opinion. He is a good finisher as we seen last year. I think he gets stuck because we know he has ability he just seems like he can’t be bothered using it at times.

Not sure how much truth there is in it but I remember Windass senior on twitter saying his sons £3m release clause is in his new improved contract.
I’d find that difficult to believe that he would be offered better terms with same release clause as his initial contract but just putting it out there.
£3m seems to be the figure Iv heard in tabloids also, if he actually wants to leave.

That's not how it works geesadodothat. If there is a release clause and it is met we have no choice but to allow them to speak to the player. We are not able to demand more and give a club preferential treatment.

If a team bids 3mil and a team bids 5mil, windass could go to the team that bids 3mil. His release clause would be met and it does not necessarily mean we could get more money if more teams are interested. Outbidding the 3mil means nothing if 3mil is the release clause. Have a think about it.

in what way would they become the preferred buyer? If there is a release cause and two teams meet it, the decision lies solely with the player. We are obliged to accept both bids.

Agreed Ronnie. It's obvious we're crying out for a striker yet everyday we're linked with another wide/ midfield player. I know the windows open for a while yet, but I am concerned as Morelos can't be trusted this season and SG looks like he's going to play Windass out of position. Also, dare I say it, we still need a SG/ Scott Brown type in the middle - out of all the midfielders we have, we're still lightweight.

SG plays windass out of position?
For me, windass is underwhelming in every position he plays.
If you look at his goals from last season, most come from him using his pace running onto a cross. However, if that scenario doesn't arise, he offers little else.
SG is trying to get more out of him. A luxury player we cannot afford.

I work with a couple of boys who went to St Ninian's high school with Lindsay who have often said they would be amazed if he joined Rangers as he is a huge Celtic supporter and has never had the kindest of words for Rangers but then again stranger things have happened!

I think we are struggling. If you get loans in they should be world class not reserves or youth players. We are only trimming the Liverpool wage bill and totally disrespecting the Rangers name and the rest of the SPl. I think SG will give a 100 percent but if that lot play well we will be 20 points behind. I really hope I'm wrong!

We can’t keep making 5 / 6 loan deals each year, especially if these guys are expected to play first team football. It’s too big a risk to change 50% of your team each season. If the board have no money or army willing to invest they should step aside!

When will some fans realise that we don't have the financial ability to get top level players anymore. We have to use other means to get better players in that what we had the year before, sometimes that could be players on a free like we have done this year (McGregor, Arfield) or use the big teams down in England and take their best youth prospects that they have available. Like a previous reply stated, other than Mbappe last year, which essentially wasn't even a loan, when was the last time a "World Class" player went on loan to anyone? Never mind to a team in our league.
Or to keep some fans happy we could just do what the other mob have done and go spend 9 Million on a player who was on loan at the club last year so hasn't actually improved their team at all.

In an ideal world we wouldn't have so many loans but, I agree, we need to use every option available to us to improve.
At the end of the transfer window we will have spent significantly, probably close to £10m.
While I think we're a couple of quality players short, we've not yet seen half the new boys play.
If they're anything like his signings that have played, they should be a step up.

I have never in a lifetime of watching Rangers seen a player with less heart than Windass. Absolute girl's blouse. Even a hint of a tackle coming in and he falls to pieces. Not one ounce of bravery. He might have the odd trick in his locker but CHARACTER wins titles and he has none.
