Maja looks pretty capable, good feet. Looks like good hold up play. Peoples goal records are hard to assess when they spend their time playing for teams that won’t create anywhere near the opportunities we would for a striker domestically. It’s more his attitude etc I’ve read is not the best. I like the Croatian Maric but he is probably more of a risk than Maja,

Maric and moffi with 10m spare to go into the coffers would be a decent return. Cover the potential loss of income from europa league still think we will struggle to replace morelos goals, but maric would be a good signing I think.

I’d imagine we have numerous targets and wanted to wait until Morelos sale is complete before moving on them. Had he stayed it would be other strikers like Lyle from Charlton we would get to add to squad now Alfredo is on brink of leaving we will likely go for Roofe or players of that price and calibre now, may even go after Toney from Peterborough.
Personally I will expect us to sign 1 of Kamberi, Taylor or boy from Livvy and 1 other replacement for Morelos in the £3-5m bracket, and the CM from France that’s about £3m.
Expect us to offload Docherty, Jones and McCrorie as neither have featured much in recent friendlies.

Eric. I’ve been looking into Roofe re his fitness if we brought him in for Aberdeen game.
Since 1/ 7 he has played three friendly games scoring one.
Therefore he is probably at same level as our squad.
He certainly would not know our style but would be better than no cf. also he likes coming off the right so going forward that for me is a good option.
If he is one that SG wants good, mb it can happen before midweek friendly then he gets a wee run out.

A VERY loose rumour, this one, (because I don't personally know the original source) but I've been told that we are looking seriously at Blackburn striker Adam Armstrong, who has been capped at every level for England except the full team. Some of Gerrard's men have been keeping a close eye on him for a couple of years and he flourished this season. I've yet to check him out, so right now it's just talk (or rather, txt) . Wonder how much he'd cost? I believe he has been referred to in the past as being similar to Michael Owen.
