With no Transfer fee we can offer him £500k signing on fee which is £10k roughly per week, another £500k for winning league, £20k basic wage and £5k win bonus I’m sure that would swing it.

We have 3 centre backs who are fairly young so we'd be either indering 2 of their progress if he played every week or paying a huge wage for a backup. We need a 4th centre back but don't think he's the answer.

As I stated in a previous post, there's absolutely no doubt in my mind, that big skrtel would so a good job, if we managed to sign him, even at 34 years old, which is not drastically old for a centre half!
However like many of you on here, i wouldn't want us to sign skrtel, at the expense of nikola katic dropping back to our subs bench again. I really rate and like big katic and like the centre half pairing of him and connor goldson together. So we're maybe better looking for a back up centre half, who can cover/ deputise for both goldson and katic. We need another one to add to our signing of george edmundson.

Was on €60k per week. Now out of contract could see us giving him some performance based incentives and maybe a €500k signing on fee with £20k wages to help bridge the gap.
Only 34 so still got at least a season or 2 in him. Invaluable experience for Katic and Edmundson to learn off to replace him in future.
Free transfer aswell can see us bidding £5m for Kent with add ins if we get fringe players off wage bill.
