This is going to b great the crap i may get.
I have it exceptional athurity that rangers will not b going into admin at all. After a discussion with certain invduals (who i can not name for legal reasons) that rangers will NOT b going into admin. There will b certain amount of cut backs tho which has been publicised by Mr Whyte himself. I do not care if people doubt this information one bit as its still on going. There is going to b speculation over this until HMRC lose the tax battle (which is obvious. I have made it my personal bussiness over the months of speculation to find out the full and legal standings. After months of discussions with people including friend that is a laywer and other indivduals ( sources i cant say or even say what bussiness there in or if they are ibrox indidvuals for legal reasons as i have all ready said) this tax bill has put us all under alot of stress. I CAN ASSURE EVERYONE RANGERS FANS AND ALL THAT WE WILL NOT ENTER IN TO ADMIN.

Sory mate its hard to believe ur post wen Mr Whyte has come out and said IF gers lose the tax bill it i possible that we will go into admin .... if what you were saying is true why would he come out and cast doubt. Ps there is nothing illegal about talking about the ramifications of Admin and gers current situation hence why pundits and radio shows have been bangin on abou ti for ages now.

Yes its not illegal but it should not be all doom and gloom, if we went in admin and things were tough for a while it would probably get rid of the glory hunter fans who only turn out when times are good. We could be reborn in the lower english divisions and work our way up. I for 1 would go watch that.

Administration is actually CW's preferred option as it allows him a fresh start in business terms. As a football decision it is terrible for the fans but the present owner is a businessman first and maybe a fan second.

Am I missing something.
David Murray is a shrewd business man, and I cannot believe he did not have his accountants and lawyers look into the tax position regarding payment of players wages into offshore accounts.
Mr Whyte during his due diligence examination would have been aware of the outstanding tax issue and the potential costs, yet he proceede with the purchase.
On the basis of the above, I cant see where this tax bombshell is going to happen.
If it does, someone has been seriously ill advised.

I am very confident about this tax case. The EBT was a system, loophole if you like, exploited by not only Rangers Football Club but many football clubs and other businesses outside football. I honestly believe that the HMRC have realised the error and are now trying in vane to backtrack and recoup all lost monies.

This is only my belief though, but until the court case is over and something concrete comes out of it I shan't get my hopes up too much.

The only reason Rangers got chased up for this cash is because the HMRC realised that Rangers funds were ever decreasing. Your Man Utds and Arsenals etc, they all owe cash in abundance, a whole lot more cash than Rangers, yet they aren't being chased up! Why is that? Because they have major cash incomes and the parties in which these clubs owe the money too realise that they will never go low in revenue....

Mr whyte only bought Rangers for a pound, so I reckon he knew what was coming ahead, anyway time will tell, Hail, Hail

Great to see all the celtic fans posting on this site. What you dont realise is if rangers dissappear so will the scottish league, do you think for one minute sky would be intersted with one of the old firm missing? On top of that smaller clubs rely on the revenue gained from old firm clubs playing at their ground. Behave yersels and realise that lawell will not be able to bale out the league like he has done to balance celtics books. Without rangers your credibility crumbles.

The name does not have to change if we enter admin. look at Motherwell , Dundee twice Livingston and various english teams.

Admin is not the end of the world.

Now that we have the admin points in the bag does any of this really matter? have a wee look on Kerrydale st forum, the manky mob are worried we will go into administration and still win the league! i would take us to win more points than the scum over the rest of the season! not worried about what happens with the tax case anymore! Lennon must stay!

Bottom line..Rangers offered between 10-15million one off payment at season start to make the BIG TAX CASE go away, therefor admission that in all likelihood they will lose the case, and HMRC refused. BE PREPARED

Is does a bit for me i can make sense of most of it but i think so parts contradict (not sure of spelling sorry) itself, looking at this link makes me think we have a good chance paying a nominal fee to hmrc as opposed to having to pay the full �49 million

Agree with previous poster, however this could be a way of HMRC making sure they get something back in case the court rules against them and also without the expense of court fees

Aye but you have got to ask yourself mate ‘why are they reluctant to go to court?’
If they were to go to court with a sound case, litigation costs wouldn’t matter because

Maybe im just taking something out of this that doesn’t exist but this says to me that
HMRC aren’t all too confident in their case. If you look at the dates within the paragraph
“Details of Initiative” it explains that the legislation was passed in April this year but that
Cases of use anywhere dating from 9th December 2010 will be culpable for repayment.
So then you ask yourself, how could Rangers spend �50m from December 2010 on Employment
Benefits trusts? Personally I really don’t see us paying back over �8m but then again im a

i really think it is an all or nothing case with us and the hmrc, (finger crossed for nothing)

but i defo dont see the figure to repay being anything near what has been quoted before,

Wont be all or nothing. If we loose the court case we will go into admin and pay nothing or very little to the tax man And the tax man knows this so he will probably strike a deal with us for a reduced amount. This 49 million talk is rubbish.

I love all you's thinking that this is all just paper talk about the �49 MILLION Its a reailty so STOP trying to hiding and face the Fact that IF the court case goes against you's It will also bring a Major Storm over GREYSKULL's Futre also.

Firstly I dont think this statement has any impact on us whatsoever. When HMRC provide such statements it is not to let people off light but rather to give them the opportunity to pay up and save themselves massive costs incurred by going through the legal process. Obviously there is always a chance that HMRC will lose their case in court but since the Rangers case is already off and running the only thing that will impact is the judgement in this case. I do not want to see us going into administration and the best outcome is obviously that we win the case. I do however understand that we would probably be better off in the long run hitting administration, disgraceful and all as that will be, rather than being slowly bled dry over a number of years as a result of a middle of the road settlement.

What evidence do u have for this Keano?, wishful thinking me thinks.

I am no expert - but it is far from an all or nothing case - It's before a tribunal, they could rule that there is no case to answer or they could rule that rangers broke EBT rules and owe what the taxman says they owe, but they could also say - your only liable for some of it. It's an extremely complex situation, this is the 3rd time the Tribunal has met - that tells you that its not as cut and dried as some people would have you believe. If anyone watched the STV interview the part on whether he would appeal if we lost he said something alog the lines " He would need to see the extent of the ruling" but agreed it would be bad for the club to have a massive debt around it's neck .. read into that whay you will

If yous watched the programme mr whyte and friends are just vultures they take over companies in trouble and bleed them dry they all ways get there money back and then some why has he not spent after what he promised yous ,when the court case comes up he will win either way ,tax man wins he walks away with his money ,and if not he still has the club thought wee fergus was fly he aint got a patch on whyte why will he not say how he has made his money and why is he not suing the bbc ,wee need rangers as the spl will be nothing no old firm games will become even more of a laughing stock .celtic supporter.
