{Ed022's Note - Hi all, I'd just like to say that over on the Profiles site we have a brand new Rangers editor who has been profiling a few of the ex-Gers boys, including the likes of Whittaker, Naismith, Davis and Ness. Now I know that they are 'ex-Rangers' so to speak, but I think it's important that you Gers fans get to give your own opinions on the site also, and no other individuals are more qualified to comment on these players' ability than the likes of yourselves, so if you could come on over to the Player Profiles site it'd be greatly appreciated. www.player-profiles.co.uk - cheers all.}

Believable9 Unbelievable58

{Ed053's Note - A profile on Ian Black and maybe a few others linked with the club including fairly unknown player Pantelis Kafes will be up either tomorrow or sometime soon. Make sure you come on and give us feedback. Thanks.

Well fellow rangers men and the unwashed followers ,today we get back to what we do best, the resurrection begins .good luck watp. Daza bear

Agree1 Disagree0

Resurrection begins? if that performance was anything to go by, the resurrection is gonna be a long hard slog
frankiebhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Frankie bhoy...........

Just you worry about getting bums on seats at your own midden. How many DIDNT turn up at the lisbon lions annual wheel-out/cash drive? Place was nearly empty lol.

So much for liewell having a 'plan' for Rangers not being in the spl........looks like his plan is to beg the supporters to bail the club out ha

"I love it when a plan comes together....." pmsl

Was nice to see us play on a decent pitch instead of the cow-feilds of the spHELL!

Agree0 Disagree0

Who wants to talk about these players they are the very ones that stabbed rangers in the back i.e whittaker naismith and davis w.a.t.p

Any news on Kevin Kyle and
Craig Beattie and what's the news
with Bocanegra, Goian and Edu ?

Has Barrie Mackay left Rangers?

Believable37 Unbelievable23

He played yesterday in closed door kick about at ibrox

Agree0 Disagree1

Mackay has not left rangers. Played in bounce games in ibrox either yesterday or the day before and Durrant has been speaking about him in interviews about how he's going to come on as a player this year with rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

If Kevin Kyle gets a game I'll be hunting out my old boots and like savage I'll play for nowt.

Blueice

Agree0 Disagree0

No Barrie Mackay has not left Rangers. Edu, Goian, and Boca are all essentially for sale but can play tomorrow. No news of Kyle getting a deal as of yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Meanwhile, Gers fans could get a further boost with Dean Shiels expected to sign a four-year deal with the Light Blues within 72-hours.

SunSport understands the ex-Killie and Hibs ace has virtually agreed the terms and is ready to snub a tempting counter offer from Danish champions Nordsjaelland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Craig Beattie is to receive a transplant of Kyle,s C5 and C6 vertebrae and his left achilles tendon, he will then be fit for March. Kyle is applying for NASA's bionic man programme and hopes to be the Div 3 answer to Steve Austin (note to youngsters 70's TV star lee majors not the wrestler)

I spoke Charles Green last night in the west end and he told me Gioan is staying, but the Americans are leaving and bedoya has already left the club.

It was mentioned yesterday that rangers would get compensation for Rhys McCabe due to his age from Sheffield we'd.they are interested in swapping mark Reynolds.would be a good bit of business considering we were interested before he left Motherwell.would cope easily on our way back to spl.and still young.what do you fellow bears think?

Believable55 Unbelievable21

I heard the same, and I think it would be a quality bit of business, Reynalds and Perry at the back, good set up with time on their sides could end up a quality central defence. I also heard that Beatie will sign, but because the licence is only conditional and wont be perm until Frid 3rd, the club where only allowed to sign two players.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's on 10K a week at Wednesday - unless he's willing to take a cut or Wednesday pay him off can't see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mark Reynolds would be a good addition to the squad especially with the possible departure of Goian and Boganegra.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mark Reynolds was a cracking defender in the SPL he would do a good job for us if this turns out to be true. Good luck for tomorrow boys. It is finally good to get back to football.

Agree1 Disagree0

Some of you are a bit mental. Think division 3, not SPL. Rangers will end up digging themselves the same hole if they try to get all the players mentioned, no way the income from did 3 will offset the outgoings

Does anyone know if the game on sunday will be on rtv?
Canadian Bear

Believable15 Unbelievable13

Game on bbc alba 15.00 hrs.come on the teddy bears, lets get ready for the battle.

Agree1 Disagree1

Think its on BBC ALBA

Agree0 Disagree1

Game is on BBC ALBA at 3pm, good if you can speak gaelic tho you could have radio on for commentary

Agree1 Disagree1

Not live unfortunately, available after midnight. I've got the same problem.

Oslo bear

Agree1 Disagree1

Not sure bud, but it's going to be on BBC Alba.... not sure if they have an option to change the commentary to English though!

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to watch on tv and listen to the radio at the same time a think. graeme

Agree0 Disagree0

What be commentators be saying - will it be Rangers or will they be saying The Rangers or Newco Rangers and how will it appear on screen - big difference to me

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic fan here. Do yourselfs a favour and get a bet on rangers to win half time and full time. 4/5 at most bookies. Easy money lads honestly. Rangers will romp the game tomorrow. They will be chomping at the bit for this game and will all be keen to get that historical first rangers goal. I think it will be 5-1. a rout.

Your welcome

Rangers have signed Ian black and Andrew little . Just seen Charles greens interview on rangers news

Believable26 Unbelievable13

Great news; two very good football players with good attitude.

Agree1 Disagree1

Ian black obvs has no ambition in life!..is he not the guy who nearly broke jelavics leg!..was a hate figure!..now you welcome him with open arms!...smacks of desparation!...

Agree1 Disagree9

Wrong, new club the rangers signed the players

Agree2 Disagree3

All credit to green I know it's early days yet to fully trust him,but he's saying & doing all the rite things!

And the chief executive has urged fans at large to refer to the club as Rangers, rather than the name of the company running it.
"I think everyone knows that it's Rangers that are playing at Ibrox whether its owned by company A or company B," he added.
"Our main rivals - or our former main rivals - across the city [Celtic] have had three different companies in their lifespan.
"In fact if you look at their corporate structure now it's more complicated than Rangers' is.
"So it's not about an individual or a corporate company with a registration number. This is Rangers and will always be Rangers."
C'mon the gers

Agree4 Disagree1

The guy talks sh*te mate. Apart from his porkies and misinformed outbursts he has done what he said he would do and is delivering some good signings. Long may is continue. The signings! not the mince about septic however.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Wrong, new club the rangers signed the players"

No actually this is Rangers rumours, not The Rangers rumours so actually you're wrong lol, also we are a new company not a new club hense the name newco not newclub

Back to the Ian Black signing, he will be great in the 3rd division, he bosses the midfield in every match he plays, every team needs a player like Ian Black, he is the player opposite fans love to hate, I was one of those Rangers fans who wasn't his biggest fan when he played at Hearts, I have always said I'd like to see him at Rangers though

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr Green obviously needs to tell the non-thinking faithful what they want to hear, but here are the inconvenient facts.
Celtic became a limited company in 1897 with a registration number SC003487. In 1994 Fergus McCann broadened the ownership by making the club a public limited company. It is the same company, with the same registration number, SC003487. Celtic now have around 29,000 shareholders. Go to Companies House web site, search ‘CelticPLC’, to see 115 years of continuous limited liability history.
More importantly than this brain-dead nonsense, the Gers need to start asking Mr Green some questions-like who are the other shareholders and what happened to the £30M that was promised. There is no point in sticking one's head in the sand, surely? If he can satisfy the SFA about his financial plans for Rangers, surely he can explain them to the fans?

Agree0 Disagree0

Green is blowing out his ars* trying to sell tickets. McCoist said he would take no part in any deals - blowing out his ars* and I could go on and on and on and on.

Agree0 Disagree0

For your team in 3rd div two very good players, who will do well for you. Not sure what the Celtic changing names is all about, but certain that the club or company was never liquidated. Hbhoy

"Ian Black Signs For Rangers While Little Re-signs" (RangersMedia); the rebuilding begins!

Who will be next; any suggestions?

Carling1873

Believable34 Unbelievable7

I imagine it will be Kevin Kyle, as there is no news on Beattie, so I reckon he will head down south, hence why Kyle was training with us.

You never know, we may end up with Van Bronkhorst, Albertz, Mols and Ferguson, but i'll admit.... it's a bit of a pipe dream!

Agree1 Disagree2

Hopfully next to sign will be beattie and if we can keep big kevin kyle fit he would be good player for us

Agree1 Disagree0

Great news at last black likes a tackle and wrks hard 4 the team tom hately mwell and kev kyle r names that keep coming up not sure abt kyle hes always injured and also supports them

Agree1 Disagree0

Gattuso? I'd be over the moon with that. Muzz

Agree0 Disagree1

Rangers fans were slating Black not too long ago now he's a hero? Midfield thug should suit you right enough. Harry the Hibby

Agree1 Disagree4

Was with beattie today still desperate to sign. he was watching amateur game at gartcosh

Agree0 Disagree0

Type of player hibs could do with harry ! Ger76

Agree0 Disagree0

Gattuso went to sion

Agree1 Disagree0

Aye seen that myself mate. The guys talking sh*te regarding celtic and corporate structure aswell. Maybe before he comes down here flapping his gums he should read the facts. Celtic have the same company registration number as they did when founded in 1888. They turned PLC and used the option available to them when adding the PLC part to there name to remove the out dated football and athletic club name to and change it to Celtic football club plc. Same company number, same club. End of story, talking about complicated corporate structures is fooling nobody.

But no matter what you think of that WE ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE the same Rangers. We will have our history, probably without a few trophies now but still a wonderful history non the less and playing in the same stadium in our same colours. Begin to accept it Celtic!

And i just wish Ally and Charles Green would just get on with all matters rangers rather than making stupid comments and talking about THEM because both there recent comments been nonsense.

There are strong links suggesting that Gary Kenneth could be on his way to Ibrox on a year loan deal worth an estimating 2k a week! This might be decent move and he is an experienced player at top level in Scotland! Personally, Rangers should not be offering any player in those lower division leagues any more than 3k that should be the threshold cap, until we get into the Premier as I feel this should be well enough to outmuscle any other opponents in Div3, 2 and 1 and we simply can't afford to be given this kind of money to injury prone players! {Ed039's Note - gary kenneth is a free agent so he wont be going "on loan" to anybody)

Believable14 Unbelievable44

The part about 3k per week wage limit sounds correct. We dont need to pay over the odds to get out of Div 3. We are still Rangers and players want to play for us. About time SPL stopped the harassment though.

Agree2 Disagree0

How can Rangers pay a player £2,000 p/w? they are in DIV 3&Broke! More like £200 p/w!

Agree1 Disagree3

Outmuscle!! That is is the understatement of the century! Three grand a week is more that some teams, such as the Shire, pay their ENTIRE SQUAD in a month! How, having left so much debt in your wake, you should be allowed to offer such wages is beyond me. I know someone will come on and give the argument why but it really leaves me bemused and totally disillusioned with this whole pantomime. And before I get the whole Tim, Bhoy, Tic conspirator diatribe I am not a Celtic supporter but a supporter of one of the "diddy" teams you are so keen to outmuscle.

Agree2 Disagree1

"How can Rangers pay a player £2,000 p/w? they are in DIV 3&Broke! More like £200 p/w!"

Rangers aren't broke lol, they are still paying Bocanegra, Goian, Edu, Alexander, McCulloch, Wallace and Broadfoot over or around £5,000 p/w, and also freed up around £80,000 p/w wages with just Naismith, Davis, McGregor and Whittaker all leaving so Rangers are hardly broke!!

Agree0 Disagree0

We can offer 3 grand a week because of the amount of fans we have simple. instead of greeting about us offering 3k per week you should be happy that your teams profile and bank account will get bigger by playing our team that will outmuscle everyone else.

feeny

Agree1 Disagree0

In reply to Feeny, its not the paying of 3k a week that upsets me. It's the leaving of hundreds of businesses (both big and small) out of pocket to the way of millions of pounds and then just waltzing on and being able to pay 3k a week as if nothing has happened. Im sure all these unfortunate businesses will be really happy that you are now raising the profile of these small unfortunate teams at the expense of shafting them. But, hey ho, you are the people so it doesnt matter you've sent businesses to the wall.

Ian black signs a 3 year deal

Believable25 Unbelievable11

What happens if the membership is rescinded? Will rfc be stuck to pay compo/contracts to players that have signed?

S nic

Agree0 Disagree0

Good signing. How can we give anyone a 3 year deal though when we havent got a full membership yet. Think this is premature, it will happen if / when we get membership but it couldnt possibly be signed yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Any idea what deal it was How much he is earning weekly?

Agree0 Disagree0

Now you have just signed the second dirtiest player in Scotland by signing Black, you already have the dirtiest in McCulloch

Rangers looking at Graham Stack.

Would maybe be a good back up keeper to Alexander.

Funny how we are intrested in all these players and we still dont know if we are going to be able to get a full membership yet.

Roru

Believable23 Unbelievable37

:o) it's all nonesense, who really cares, honestly!

Agree0 Disagree0

Plenty of youth back up, why's it funny that we would be looking at players?!?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny how we were taking the p#ss out of all these players less than a month ago.

Agree1 Disagree0

Our back up keeper should be from the youth team! If these youths can't perform in the 3rd division they are never going to cut it at professional level. This is our chance to change the ethos of our club with young, home grown talent playing a predominant role! Gd luck 2day lads!
