Mark my words, Davis won't be returning to rangers!

29 Jun 2018 00:10:35
Just your opinion or do you have some more information to share?

29 Jun 2018 04:18:59
hes read the same thing as me, passing it off as his own info

29 Jun 2018 07:38:27
Daily Star reporting this morning that Gerrard wants to bring Davis back to Rangers.

29 Jun 2018 07:57:53
Not too worried about Davis coming back. If he truly wants to join the revolution then let’s go.

28 Jun 2018 22:58:38
Just hearing Barjonas possible loan deal to Partick Thistle and that Steve Davis rumour is maybe a non starter.

29 Jun 2018 07:28:54
Barjonas to Partick is a big step up hopefully means he's ready to make the step up in to our set up

28 Jun 2018 22:22:00
A new CM coming in not talking about Steven Davis Malian boy.

28 Jun 2018 22:08:21
Lassana Coulibaly close to signing loan deal just waiting on work permit

28 Jun 2018 22:53:44
Another midfielder are we playing a 4-2-3-1 next season again not seen much of the lad hope he's a creative mid or a tough tackling no nonsense defensive mid hope that means Halliday and Forrester are on the way out

28 Jun 2018 23:22:11
Who is he?

29 Jun 2018 07:33:49
have you seen the size of him?!

6”3 an absl tank doesn’t look like he takes any prisoners

29 Jun 2018 11:06:22
transfermarkt has him @ 5ft 8 and Wikipedia has him at 6ft. Maybe he is still growing at 22.

29 Jun 2018 21:05:32
I saw his height listed at 1.75m - according to my maths that is around 5'9" but he looks fast and strong on You Tube.

28 Jun 2018 22:05:52
So hearing rangers are wanting both Sadiq from Roma and big Lafferty, Davis from Southampton and coulibaly from angers in France so that be 4 centre miss of they to Rossiter and jack rest look to be leaving, so still think we need 1 more centre back or 2 if Alves leaves and if he does I'd bring in McAuley as he a free, what other defender should we go for?

28 Jun 2018 22:54:37
Reece Burke of West Ham and Adam Armstrong of Newcastle would be solid signings

28 Jun 2018 21:36:10
We are close to completing a loan deal for mali international lassana coulibaly from angers.

28 Jun 2018 21:13:13
Must admit fellow bears I am genuinly overjoyed at the news of Davis coming back. We had the Naismiths and Lafferty rumours and personally speaking I would have taken both back ( still big Laff if the price was right ) but the possibility of Davis and with shagg*r back already I feel Gerrard and Mark Allen are being very smart.

Bringing experienced guys back to the club who are not just quality players but have been there and proved they can not only handle the jersey but win for the club they love. Stick that in the mix with young hungry guys who also love the club and the experience and drive of SG and Gary Mac things are finally starting to look up! I genuinely think it's our time to wipe that smug look off bucktooth Browns face! They've had all their own way for far too long. #Lets go 🔴⚪️🔵.

29 Jun 2018 10:12:40
Genuinely quite excited about the prospect as well but don't think i can see it happening, just reading several different news reports on the situation and it seems either Davis or his agent are issuing a "come get me" plea which i don't think we'll bite too. I hope i'm wrong.

29 Jun 2018 21:33:33
Bears1872 to quote Wesley snipes in white men can't jump "just because u put a cat in the oven doesn't make it a biscuit"

I do love the optimism and I quietly feel confident but I am still worried as we are under someone who IS commanding respect but has never worked a day as a manager in his life. so let's do what we always do. keep it classy, hawd oor watir until at least we can see things are working.

I'm one of the tubes who listened to Pedro and thought I had the new Jose mourinho!

After the first OFG if we've not been smashed then please feel free to come on tell me I was wrong.

Just worried and been here before.

28 Jun 2018 16:09:46
Sky sports also apparently reporting that we’re after Steven Davis😍😍😍😍

28 Jun 2018 16:47:14
would take him back in a heart beat, age is off putting but guy is still class

28 Jun 2018 17:03:06
Remember getting abuse last month for indicating this would happen - far better than any midfielder in the Scottish league - would be an absolutely top quality signing 👌🏻

28 Jun 2018 17:08:33
and I agreed Gers

I wld take davis all day long captn off is country and anytime i saw him in EPL elle was still class and scores goals

if we can get him great piece of business

28 Jun 2018 17:29:19
There’s our captain right there lads hope it’s true

28 Jun 2018 17:48:48
Sell Windass and bring in Davis. I’d take that all day long .

28 Jun 2018 17:58:30
Totally different style of player.

28 Jun 2018 18:11:18
I can’t believe he’ll be able to cope with the demands of Garrard in midfield, he’ll be 34 in January? Great player in his day but that’s past we need younger players. Although if it’s a choice between him or Fletcher then Davis gets my vote everyday of the week!

28 Jun 2018 19:29:26
Yip, would take davis all day long

28 Jun 2018 19:30:58
That may be true Southend but I'd still have Davis in my midfield any day of the week .

28 Jun 2018 21:58:10
Love Davis back! Great player and knows how what it takes to wear the shirt! Age is a gamble but i believe its worth taking!

28 Jun 2018 22:06:11
Get him signed, age is not a problem, Brown is 33 yet he has ruled midfield, we can’t let it happen again, we need to be stronger there and I think Arfield will boss midfields so we need ball players

28 Jun 2018 22:08:56
Hollow55 how can u say Cope with the demands of SG? The guy has bn coping with the demands of the premier league and probably being the most stable player in a really decent side in the best league in the world----that is a weird comment u came oot with man

28 Jun 2018 22:11:48
Dizny matter if he's 34 or 44 he wid easy do us a turn for at least 2-3 years-the guy just oozes class

28 Jun 2018 22:32:44
I would certainly have him back, I do agree he is getting on but we want to improve our team and switching out the likes of Holt, Halliday, etc and bringing Davis in would instantly improve the squad, he doesn't have to play every game keep him fresh and get the best out of him.

28 Jun 2018 23:28:56
Definitely bring Davis back! He was a winner at Rangers and will still know what it takes- class act and will only add quality to that squad!

28 Jun 2018 15:34:59
Sadiq deal has been agreed. Hopefully announced by the end of the week

28 Jun 2018 16:08:38
Hopefully the lad plays well and takes us to the next step of our journey

28 Jun 2018 21:21:51
Rather Cummings. Give him time he could be a supper ally.

28 Jun 2018 13:41:06
Windass Snr has confirmed on Twitter that Jnr does have a 3m buyout clause.

28 Jun 2018 15:58:38
His dad must be skint, Dean looking for his next fee.

27 Jun 2018 23:24:21
Few places suggesting Cardiff are preparing a 3m bid for windass and that he has a 3m buy out clause in his contract. I thought that was removed when he signed a new deal. Any1 no for certain? I personally don't think we could replace his goals and his potential for 3m.

28 Jun 2018 01:02:14
Had asked 4LHAD they’ve said a Release clause is
Still in his contract.

28 Jun 2018 07:40:17
Ibrox Loyal posted back in January that he had signed his extension till 2021 and the release clause was removed if he had a 3.5million release clause then improved why we would we decrease it .

28 Jun 2018 08:23:57
If we are offered 4M I believe he will go

28 Jun 2018 09:15:58
Still upto player to agree terms, reckon a chance to play European football and overthrow celtic should keep him at the club. Why low buy out was ever agreed il never know

28 Jun 2018 09:33:07
Surely a release clause can only work if the player was wanting to leave. All the media are jumping on this as if it has to happen if the bid is made when all it means is the player has a decision to make and if he wants to stay the end of. Usual media garbage to try and create what they would then report as a crisis at Rangers as top player abandoning sinking ship or some crap like that.

28 Jun 2018 09:55:50
Only reason to leave us and go to Cardiff would be money! No other logical reason to go play for a team that will struggle to survive in the EPL and play in front of crowds half our size!

28 Jun 2018 10:34:13
Agreed it would b up to player but surely if it’s true and there is a buy out clause in his contract surely it’s something es wanted for something like this?

28 Jun 2018 10:44:19
Don't think this is a big issue, any 1 on this page would have snapped your hand off at 3 million at end if season, the only things that has changed from then is new manager and 10 days hard slog in Spain Windass will always shy away from a tackle and will always go missing in games the only thing we can hope for is another club to bid as well to push price up slightly! Oh will he be a starter if he stays! Doubt it!

28 Jun 2018 11:23:37
Sorry guys but EPL trumps SPL every day of the week. Even with Steven Gerrard, the lure of the Promised Land is far too strong for most players.

28 Jun 2018 11:44:05
If the lad wants to leave the Gers for anyone then he is welcome. The time for that is finished. let's GO!

28 Jun 2018 11:54:17
Suitable replacement?

28 Jun 2018 12:19:28
Less pressure and more wages could turn windass. s head. If he wants to win medals however he should stay here. Best chance of that.

28 Jun 2018 12:21:41
Someone that doesn’t want to leave is a good start. I rate the lad but no room for passengers now.

28 Jun 2018 12:46:31
Cardiff have juts bid £9m for a forward from Bristol City. We should be holding out for wayyy more than £3m for windass. Young English talent. i'd say over £6m we should consider

28 Jun 2018 13:42:04
Lads if it’s a buyout it means it’s a cost of £3m to buy the player out of his contract. If he wants to go then the price will be £3m (If that’s what’s in his contract) .

28 Jun 2018 15:07:29
We should be looking for 5 million plus for Windass that's if he wants to go to Cardiff.
Lure of playing in the EPL and inflated wages might be difficult to turn down.
Windass has had a good season and has loads of potential and to further his development under SG.

28 Jun 2018 15:37:33
Punt him and loan in Solanke for 18 months.

28 Jun 2018 17:38:40
only reason to leave, money, what about getting greetin fans off his back when he has a bad game. and before anyone suggests its what any player deserves if playing bad then you have answered why some players decide to leave. and if he does leave most of the so called fans are getting what they asked for anyway

28 Jun 2018 19:30:15
Serious question, what happens if other clubs, (Leeds as an example), are also interested? Do we get into a bidding war or is it a case of £3m and Windass can choose who he goes to.

28 Jun 2018 19:47:06
he chooses who he goes to nobody else

28 Jun 2018 22:38:43
We can't hold out for more, it's very simple trigger 3mill buy out clause, player makes decision, gone, there's no oh we should hold out for 5 or 6 or 7 mill we don't have a choice it's in the contract.
