according to my local paper in sheepsh*gger land, the evening express, the scummy dons are lookin at eddie johnson, 27yo usa striker released by fulham recently.... he any good? apparently he is a free agent aswell. should ally enquire about him??

Believable2 Unbelievable11

Was good on football manager though

Agree0 Disagree0

He was brilliant for Kansas City but that was about 4 years ago, haven't seen much of him since. He's quick and could cause some teams trouble i suppose, not much skill to him though.

Was at the rangers golf day today and Gordon smith told us we might sign one more player but depends on who goes out...also was told that ally was told he had 15mil to spend and he has received nothing as yet what has went out has balanced the books, also told that the debt has not been paid off it has only been moved to another bank off shore good sources

G

Believable7 Unbelievable19

Absolute nonsense

Agree0 Disagree0

Gordon smith wouldn't tell you club plans

Agree0 Disagree0

I promise you that's what he said to my mate that was with me about the signings...in regards to the money Charlie miller never turned up so mcoist did as a stand in and told the boys he was playing with as per them that he was promised 15mil and hasn't seen any of it

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and it wasn't Gordon smith that mentioned the debt it was one of he business men sitting at out table that told us that one...believe it if you want doesn't make any odds to me just passing on what I was told watp

G

Agree0 Disagree0

Hello timmy nice to hear from you. I always look forward to getting a laugh from you nonsense. I can understand that you are worried that the mighty Gers are on theb way to 4 in a row what with us having a terrible start to the season but still sitting top. but you really need to come up with something more believable than this. I look forward to hearing from you again if only to get a wee laugh.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can back this up..to a degree.....my good friend told me last night that ally will only have funds if 1 player leaves the the club..i believe it to be either davis or jelivic.

Agree0 Disagree0

That definitely sounds like something that Gordon Smith would go around telling everybody...

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget what Smith. Key point is that the post about not paying the debt is true. It has been moved and won't be paid until the outcome of the HMRC investigation is known.

ive been scathing to rangers and mccoist and whyte since our shocking euro displays but something tells me their gonnae pull a couple of top quality signings out the bag last minute what do you all think

Believable8 Unbelievable16

Sorry mate, can't see it happening. It looks like Whyte was waiting on the potential CL/Uefa cup money to free up funding, which as we all know now aint gonna happen. It will be a couple of loan signings at best for us now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe, I hope so...

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope and pray we do but i think mckay and bedoya when they get a few games will show they are more than capable in this league so if we do sign anyone i hope its an experienced striker that can go straight in if required.

Agree0 Disagree0

No signings.com [simples]

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit late to offer quality players spl games shld a been done wen europe was on cards have it on good account jason roberts will be a rangers player on loan for season we will see though

Agree0 Disagree0

3 years ago we had no money, had just been knocked out of Europe and still spent nearly Ł9m on Davis, Mendes and Edu. Not saying it'll happen again but don't write anything off yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2011 22:41:15
mr whyte isnt backing ally coz he must be thinking most of the squad has won 3 in a row here and just spend little as possible to make the squad bigger not stronger coz they should be good enough to do 4 in a row and spend big next season with champions league money.

Believable6 Unbelievable6

When we win the league this year we will still need to qualify for the champions league next year

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2011 22:20:21
I really hope rangers gets this gekas guy he is pretty quick and very good at finishing. Mr whyte better put a bid in for him.

Believable9 Unbelievable10

I hope we dont get him hes a p**h

why would Motherwell sell Humphrey, hateley and murphy to rangers if theyre 3 of the main reason theyve got 13 points through 5 games..doesnt make sense...Gekas is a possibiity..thats it..teddies in for a disappointing next 48 hours and then a disappointing season..come on ally... finger out

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Spot on mate we all say the rest of scotlands pants then we take all there best players ? hopefully well can keep up with the pace doubt it hearts kept up untill dec last year couple of injuries they fail

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris Humphrey is terrible , Mwell fans want rid of him. Hes just fast

Rangers to land Federico Macheda on loan from Man Utd as Fergies stated he like him to gain more experience, and thinks the Scottish game wil toughen him up

hopefully celtic will accept the bid for gry hooper from qpr.
caughtoffside.com

Believable5 Unbelievable11

Caughtoffside is the biggest bulls**t website i have ever seen. Unlucky son, Hooperman is goin nowhere.

I hope hooperman is going nowhere cos he couldnt outscore kenny misser when he had an extra 4 months. thats why we are champons.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gekas has rejected us according to the Greek press, What the **** Gordon Smith? I bet Gekas was like, I'm looking for around 10k a week & Smith says ... What about £500? This is embarrassing, Truly woeful negotiating.

Believable15 Unbelievable4

Gordon smith got nothing to do with transfers, jump off the bandwagon mate

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont need another 30 odd year old striker murphy is a better prospect

Agree0 Disagree0

So u know nothing about the actual deal, if there even was one but u slag gordon smith lol some of u need to get a life, woeful negotiating but u dont have a scooby if we even offered him a deal lol

Agree0 Disagree0

TBH folks although the greek knows where the back of the net is (something we are desperately missing at the moment), he is a lazier version of Kris Boyd with the attitude to go with it Trust me on this one guys this may be a bullit dodged.

motherwell to sign another left winger ssn.could this be they have accepted that jamie murphy will sign for gers b4 weds deadline?

Believable2 Unbelievable12

Murphy is a kid like hutton, kerkar, little, fleck, mcmillan, you know, the ones that cant get a game unless we have a mass amount of injuries. he would be better staying at motherwell than warming our bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2011 21:09:56
motherwell on verge of signing a left winger does this mean they have accepted that jamie murphy will sign for rangers b4 wed deadline?

Believable3 Unbelievable10

No it just means that they are strengtening there team

there is a strong story doing the rounds that
whyte is not prepared to back ally with cash as he doesnt trust him to spend the money properly
his focus is the states , bradley could be on the cards

big d

Believable4 Unbelievable10

If Ally walked on for his reasons then that guy is pretty decent

Agree0 Disagree0

Pure BOLLOCKS. Money is there to be spent we tried and failed at the beginning of the season and those players decided a few extra grand a week was worth more than winning trophies and icon status at lower level clubs. They're choice, get behind Ally and the club. A.Wenger at Arsenal is struggling to spend 50+Million on the right players enough said.

Agree0 Disagree0

Another American midfielder just what Rangers need FFS

there is a strong story doing the rounds that
whyte is not prepared to back ally with cash as he doesnt trust him to spend the money properly

theres not really a strong rumour, its really just people like yourself making up a pishy rumour to try and stick up for whyte not spending any money

Agree0 Disagree0

Because we have 3 american's how long did it take 2 come up with that one. the reason he's not spent any money is he aint got any. total muppet

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe the original poster means Bob Bradley, former US national coach.

That would be a massive step backwards. He knows nothing of British football.

either mcgregor davis or jelavic to be sold to balance books and bring a couple of players in. heard rumours scott mcdonald and jamie murphy are signing before the windoew closes

Believable9 Unbelievable16

How can one post be so terribly wrong?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcgregor signed a 6 year contract meaning he wants 2 spend the rest of his carrer here nd davis signed 5 ??

News: Rangers manager Ally McCoist insists the club have no offers outstanding to bring fresh faces to Ibrox. Gers are currently being linked with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt's Greek striker Theofanis Gekas. Source - SSN Live transfer centre this morning.

This tell us all we need to know fellow bears. - We will not be bringing in any new faces - Super Ally has no backing from Whyte or the board, Gordon smith is there to take the fall for new fact that we wont bring in anyone.

Whyte will run our club with the bare minimum cash invested, with no real care about results. Develop the ground that rangers own, walk away in massive profit and leave us in a worse state than lloyds/SDM did.

Thats the truth

Believable14 Unbelievable14

He already has made upgrades to the ground

Agree0 Disagree0

I will be raging if we don't get at least 2 players getbthe check book out whyte ASAP

Agree0 Disagree0

Leave us in a worse state? How do you figure that out, he's wiped out our dept and given our best players better contracts Id rather that than the bank running us. McCoist has not been told to sell any players and I've said this on this page before he didn't give the players better contracts on the basis that we got to either grp stages, how much money does the guy have, he's not stuipid

Agree0 Disagree0

Hell be taking that money he used to wipe the debt back every year through dividends and as for the contracts those players will go for more money with longer terms to run simple

Agree0 Disagree0

Get in Signing of the decade, pretty poor if that's what we're trying to sign

Agree0 Disagree0

So we'll still have no debt then And its his right to make money on his investment And even though we've had
NO bids for ANY of our players he's still going to sell them? Give the guy a break, So far he's done what he's said he'll do and there is still 48 hrs to go in the window, just cos coisty says there is no bids doesn't mean there isnt. maybe hes just sick of loosing out on targets

Agree0 Disagree0

Has the debt been wiped out? or do we owe it to wavetower /rangers plc ltd? It looks that way and time will tell...AS

Agree0 Disagree0

We have no offers OUTSTANDING.
Who's to say there won't be a couple in the next 2 days?
It's time people stop reading what they want to read in articles. Read what it says instead.

So in summary we have a 2m bid accepted for cuellar and get Goian in for 0.5m. We bid 3m plus for Juhasz and get Bocanegra for 0.4m. We bid 1.5m for Verhoek and get Bedoya in for 0.3m. We bid 2m for Goodwillie and don't even get another striker in. I'm telling u bears we've been shafted

Believable22 Unbelievable6

Spot on my friend

Agree0 Disagree0

I said this 2 weeks ago, shafted isnt the word, its an absolute joke if we dont spend 2-3 million on a striker or midfielder then whyte can go f*** himself

Agree0 Disagree0

Your bang on mate shafted big time

Agree0 Disagree0

We have been promised 25m over 5 years we have spent about 3-4m and we could still bring in another player. so stop moaning, we have brought in 6 players so lets see how the league goes before everyone turns on the club.
EKger

Agree0 Disagree0

Whytes a delboy AS

Agree0 Disagree0

All the bids above were put in when we were invovled in CL nevermind uefa cup we cant afford to buy no one now if we got in CL or even uefa we would have bought 2 more think we will get a loan in

any truth on scott mcdonald coming to gers ???T-Bear

Believable7 Unbelievable16

No chance. He was a celtic hero and a massive Tim

Agree0 Disagree0

A hope its true, id take him in a heart beat, total goal machine.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha think he was a Rangers hero first

Agree0 Disagree0

The way we are struggling to sign players i would take him in a heartbeat as well, celtic should never have let him go. anyway, he has the experience we need and would score plenty for us. mckay and mcdonald and bedoya, edu and bocanegra. australian and american internationals that can bond hopefully and help us to 4 in a row. heres hoping

Agree0 Disagree0

from a reliable source jamie murphy to gers before the deadline 1/2 mill plus add ons

Believable7 Unbelievable13

No chance,we will not be signing anyone else, whyte will try to recoup some money now, still cant beleive the amount of guys on here that cant see thro him,he promised us a good spend on players and all he has done is spent the bouggy cash and charlie adam money, cmon people please wake up

Agree0 Disagree0

Id like Jamie Murphy tbh but Motherwell arent stupid they wouldnt sell him for that unless the add ons are like a 50% next sale clause

Agree0 Disagree0

If there was any chance of this being true, the fee would be a lot more than that, at least Ł1mil, however that's academic because he's not coming here.

Rangers make Theofanis Gekas enquiry: Source stv

Believable5 Unbelievable11

Has anyone bothered to look at this guys goals on youtube? Each one is an example of good finishing but they all depended on one thing that we definitely do NOT have at the moment and thats quality service to the strikers. Plus there must be better, fitter players out there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are we enquiring if we can buy him for nothing payable over three decades

What is gordon smiths job title at ibrox? And what is he doing?

Believable10 Unbelievable4

Oh and his job is to awkwardly answer questions in around-about way about what his job is and what his duties are... and to assure the fans that we have spent money on new stationery and fitted speakers that we dont really care a lot about

Director of Football and by the looks of things all he's been doing is sitting about on his fat ar$e twidiling his thumbs

according to two radio stations 2night, smeltic are to spend a right few quid over the next couple of days which has me worried cause i cant see rangers doing any significant business. we badly need to bring in players that can go right into that first team but as a passionate bluenose i'm worried sick for the months ahead.

Believable13 Unbelievable4

As a Celtic fan, I heard there are two medicals booked for tomorrow. Had to laugh at your guy below who said FIVE medicals booked, come on get real. I will be happy if ONE booked. hail hail Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

The only way I see us spending decent money in the next day is by raking some decnt money in - flogging one of our better players. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2011 18:38:53
i have been told smeltic have five players booked in for medicals tomorrow they are after that champions league money next year....so whyte needs to back ally with a few million if not the league will be gone

Believable15 Unbelievable10

Aye the five players are fa the team that just won the homeless world cup don't talk s**te no chance were getting 5 players in and if we did whyte would sell 6 to pay for them don't see us getting much in with no earopean money to pay for it hope I'm wrong And we do but goin by the dealings so far I doubt it :(( steph

Agree0 Disagree0

A i see ur this same clown who constantly has to use little witty names when talking about Celtic. Do you ever discuss your own team. Its 2 medicals actually.

Drew

Agree0 Disagree0

They'll win. Unless we do some miracle working. They'll be hungry, you can guarantee it.

Agree0 Disagree0

They can't afford wages for 5 new players. No chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Read the post steph, CELTIC have 5 players booked It's actuly 2

Agree0 Disagree0

The horse has already bolted on that one m8, I have said, and keep saying this, Whyte had the chance to invest at the start and he LET EVERYONE DOWN BADLY, WHY wait until the last two days of dealing ? that's just a joke imo. As for that mob, who gives a flying ?????? We are still good enough to take the title, but better players would guaranteed that and left the rest in our wake, but like I say m8, the horse has bolted.............. 4 in a row

Agree0 Disagree0

Just past septic park stopped to have a sneaky look as the place was moving, lots of press there as well, did not ask what it was all about

Agree0 Disagree0

Champions League money? Bit ahead of yourself mate The winners of the SPL don't automatically get a place in the group stage. I doubt any scottish team will be in Champions League for the next few years at least.

Naw they definitely do get straight into the groups

If we sign eremenko, Im finished wae the Gers. If Ally rates him we really are in bother. Hes unfit and carres ALOT of weight. Everytime Ive seen him he blowing out his ars3. Ken who else is a joke, that imposter fae Spain, fitba player?? Slept wae one once.

Billyboy

Believable10 Unbelievable10

He can easy get fit

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets wait and see what he does before Wed. If we sign no one else then he has a lot to answer for. If he does then lets hope its someone who can really improve the team

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you on eremenko and ortiz but is eremenko any worse than edu ? take a look at yourself mate if your gona be finished way rangers not a true fan, but you have got points on the two players above.
BALLYBOY

Agree0 Disagree0

Who the heck is ken mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

Edu is murder but different fae eremenko. As for the guy saying he can get fit, we have been saying that about Healy for 6 months. If Ally signs Eremenko, I'll not be back to Ibrox lads until major changes are made

I just saw a headline on the Sky Sports site reading 'Traore set for Rangers'. It's just as well it referred to Armand Traore signing for QPR and not Djimi Traore signing for your team. He's surely one of the worst players to have a Champions League winners medal.

My friend said that we're in for Fedrico Insua who currently plays for Bursaspor. Ally was supposably impressed and is been touted around 1.5m

Believable2 Unbelievable13

Pointless going for another left back. we have wallace, papac, whittaker, bocanegra and wylde that can play there

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds true hes 31yrs no sell on value, midfielder, and pish sounds like one that Ally would buy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't seem likely we'd sign a left back when we've already got 2 and we're needing a forward.

Photographer outside Ross Hall Hospital right now... waiting on Scott McDonald coming out, apprantley he's in there with the RFC medical staff

Believable8 Unbelievable16

BS Rangers do their medicals at Nuffield hospitals, Septic do theirs at RH if your gonny print rubbish at least try and make it credible

Agree0 Disagree0

Ill say this 1 more time. Scott McDonald will never sign for Rangers. I know him and his family in oz, u will never find a bigger tim. Hates ur guts, trust me.

Agree0 Disagree0

That should be interesting. Apparently Celtic have Bangura at Ross Hall as well. Oh well, the lucky photographer will get two for the price of one.

craig whyte promised us all £5m per season for 5 years and made a second statement of ill give ally £15m this season.

i just hope hes gonna spark some life into Rangers and buy us a ££13.5m striker because hes only spent £1.5m after the bougherra and adam money is taken into account.

Believable11 Unbelievable4

What about new contracts for, gregsy, Davis, weir, papac, Whittaker? Short memory

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree pal, he's been speaking through his arse the whole time, making us believe his bull. Wish he would come out and tell what his problem is and why he's not backing McCoist. Us fans deserve to know what's happening.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ure spot on m8 but dont hold ure breath 4 any signings b4 wed ally said no bids in and we badly need sum quality in that team. we will b lucky 2 hold on 2 wot we have. whyte is a bullshi*er

Agree0 Disagree0

Wages should have no bearing on the 5m promised, this should be included in the running costs.
Please don't make excuses for whyte, if he doesn't do what he said he would do then the former board members were right and we should show vigilance.
BR

Agree0 Disagree0

What's with these clowns keep spouting about contract renewals ? This should never be counted as a transfer fee ...

Whyte got the club for a quid because there was a "tax bill" comming in which he never paid till the last second (remember a few weeks ago when the papers got served)

The debt was 31million but it was closer to 19>20million when he finally bought the club.

We lost out on champions league money because of the pinch penny attitude. Why send scouts all over Europe and waste money when you don't actually want to buy them ?

Ally couldn't run a bloody piss up in a brewery he should've went with Walter at the end of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Signing our best players on new contracts is always expected, every big team does it, and it doesn't stop them from signing new players. Spending Ł300k here and there isn't enough to cover the wool over my eyes I'm afraid

Agree0 Disagree0

God you people are ungrateful. Where would rangers be now if whyte hadn't bought the club. . . that's right administration if we were lucky and the history books if we weren't. Yes Whyte made claims that there was money available but not just for transfers but for wages as well. Ally thought as do i that securing our best players on long term contracts was the most important thing. This resulted in a six year contract for McGregor and five year contracts for davis and whittaker. The weekly wage for these three players is now rumoured to be around twenty-five thousand so over the length of these contracts alone Whyte has committed himself to paying over twenty million. Claiming he hasn't spent is idiotic

Finally done can't wait to play my first game. That's the quote on Vladimir Weiss twitter page. Espanyol have got him. Would have loved him back at the bears.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Only a loan though. If ally decides we need him/he's doen well enough in spain, then he'll get him in. Thought i think that there may be a first choice option to buy in the contract? clarification on that would be useful. Muzz

Majority of the mob on here are delusional or on excellent drugs. Weiss? McFadden? Joe Cole? Seriously? Get a grip and stop living in dream land.

2 loan deals if we are lucky and that is it.
Livermore a possibility if Harry lands what he is after, other one is unknown, but we need a striker.

Wouldn't be surprised if Jelavic leaves also, with Newcastle seemingly sniffing around, and QPR on a spending spree.

Really, get a grip and realise we are a sinking ship.

Believable9 Unbelievable9

We need to downgrade our expectations. There is no money in Scottish football, thus it's demise. Celtic and Rangers can hardly compete with Championship teams for players. We will be lucky if we get two players in on loan before the window closes. The days of paying 12m for Flo are long gone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly, couldn't have put it any better myself.

The fact people are clicking "unbelievable" worries me about our own fanbase, who appear to be living in some fantasy world. I'm not being pessimistic, i'm being realistic.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you think Livermore m8, you need to get a grip NO CHANCE there, he has played every game for Spurs so far..

Agree0 Disagree0

Almost totally agree with u except on McFadden- not that I want to sign him but he wouldn't be unrealistic coz he's a free agent and he's been training with his old club Motherwell to get fit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Livermore openly said he would come to Rangers, and has been subject to a loan bid from West Ham.

Same scot dann thats linked with liverpool, arsenal etc.daily mail is telling lies and y u posted it i dont know.your aff your heid if u think rangers will sign a player like this or did wee snowy tell u

Agree0 Disagree0

Is he not valued at about 6Million. We will .probably be bidding 600k. Can't see this happening

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you will find that's queens park rangers as if we could afford the money that Birmingham want for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know about Scott Dann, but you're certainly a fan dan.

Wudnt even need to check up on this 1. This would be the Scott Dann who is valued at 8 mil and who is being linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. Shut up ya clown

Why are fans wanting Alan Hutton to return. Harry Redknapp clearly doesn't fancy him which goes to show he was never worth the 9 million we got for him.

Trust me Alan Hutton won't solve our problems.

Believable5 Unbelievable6

If you think back a bit, the season before he left us he was outstanding

Agree0 Disagree0

So harry redknapp is now god I would take hutton back in a minute not got a clue if it would happen but because 1 manager doesn't like him doesn't mean he isn't a good player ya muppet & trust me you won't solve our problems either

Agree0 Disagree0

Will one man change the team? no, but is he better than we have? yes. Cant see it happening but i would welcome him back

Agree0 Disagree0

Wen we sold him he was outstanding probably our best player and tbh we have missed him he was fast strong had a gd delivery and always showed up well in a european match he also is passionate and vocal somthin the team lack other than shagger n laff he would be a great signing and considering fitness and performance could be the captain we dnt have.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he will solve the right back problem. he would improve the team. i dont think he will be back.
the tiger

Agree0 Disagree0

If I remember correctly, Hutton was s**t at Rangers 1st time around, was a target for the Boo boys then had a great 4-5 months and we managed to flog him for Ł9million. Great piece of business. I do realise though he's an improved player playing in the Premiership, but if he doesn't hit the ground running i'm sure the Boo boy's will be on his back straight away. We need a fresh face

I think a few guys on here need a reality check, I mean Joe Cole, Alan Hutton, Dos Santos, McFadden, Benayoun? Get a grip boys eh we'll be looking at the Diouf's,Eremenko's and Hateley's of the world for a while now and the sad thing is that's the way it has to be but Ally still has my backing

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Agree. Benayoun has played in Champions League semi finals. Why would he come to the SPL?

Agree0 Disagree0

Another reason is benayoun is on 40 grand a week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pedro mendes had won the champions league, beating a monaco team that included rothen and dado prso in the final. but your right, a semi finalist would never sign for rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes 3rd poster is right money is a more likely reason for a player not to join but diouf is on far more than 40k a week tht benayoun is on if those figures are correct and i bet hed join on 20k week in a second i think if he had no other epl options im sure benayoun would consider it we would be his shop window.

only interesting things that will happen in the next 72hrs, will be Davis to Blackburn, , they cant afford to buy any new players, so if anyone comes in it will be loan deals, possibly 2
the loss of C/L money 15 mill, plus Europa League 4-5mill, and the lenghty contracts to 3 players worth 12-14mill, is a liability that can no longer afford

Believable8 Unbelievable13

You want to bet Davis, Jelavic or McGregor don't go anywhere?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think it would look good on mr whyte as then people would start to worry that jelly fish and shagger would go and that the new contracts for shagger and whitaker were only put on so whyte could have leverage and not be foced into a quick sell for little money

Agree0 Disagree0

Tie your beter players up on long contracts, and then they can be sold at inflated prices
Whyte does not and never has had Rangers best interests at heart, the fans have been misled right from the start, the previous board tried to warn them, but no-one listened

Agree0 Disagree0

Fuc,,,,g sick of listening to you lot,on and on keep going over the same old ground,we have been conned from the start by whyte, ally etc, wait till the end of the transfer window if f...ck all happens then start screaming blue murder at the board, and start withholding money from them, thats the only way you will get through to these kind of people, thats what they are doing to us if you look at it...ps just my opinion but to me whyte is just a hatchet man come shyster con man,,,,,,,,,,,

Man City striker 20yr old from Liberia good goalscoring record at U20s 15gls in 11 games.

Agree0 Disagree0

So when the manager says no more signings you know better think not

Agree0 Disagree0

Manchester city youngster, 20 year old from liberia. only played once for the first team since joining in 2008

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally never said anything about no more signings, he said there were none on-going at present. Likelihood us that there will be 1 or 2 new faces in by weds nite.

Agree0 Disagree0

When has the europa league ever fetched 5 million 4 Scottish clubs? More like 1million, think we are better off out of it, selling players like Davis would mean 2nd in the league and loss of another 15 million next year

He was poor for portsmouth are you tryin to be funny? Im not defending the lad but iv heard his scoring ratio is quite good. Mind you Shevchenko was poor at chelsea god so is Torres obv they are poor players never good enough for rangers Haha get a grip pal dont judge a player on a spell with a poor club in a good league muppet

Agree0 Disagree0

Very well done, picking and choosing your stats, i can do that.

Did you know that Lennon has lost the leauge to walter every time he tried, see i can do it to.

If you check Gekas scoring record for the other teams hes played for i think you will find its not too shabby, unlike your attempt at being smart which is, to me the epitome of shabby.

Get yer facts right before you waste your day on pages that belong to your rivals.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes i was being funny hence the LOL part.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been deemed surplus to requirements from the last 4 clubs he has joined, he is 31 and failed to play more than 1 game for a pompey side who were utter garbage at the time. He is also petulant and overweight currently.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tony Adams the then manager brought him in but was then sacked, and caretaker manager Paul Hart wouldn't play him.

In the end he only made one appearance as a substitute for Portsmouth - Not exactly enough to judge him on being a bad player in a career which has been otherwise littered with goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

He ain't even signed yey remember its Craig tight dont get to worked up

Agree0 Disagree0

Am failing to get excited about a 31yr old who's best days are behind him and was booed off the park at the weekend, stinks of panic buying, Craig whyte is selling us all short here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Must be poor if samaras keeps him out the greek team

Believable5 Unbelievable8

The players already signed are probably no better that the Murphys, Hateleys etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate you're bang on but Bocanegra, Bedoya, Mackay and Ortiz are exactly the same - Average, and nowhere near good enough for Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip...you have no money to buy what you call GLASGOW RANGERS quality. Spl is cack and the old firm will not be able to buy star players anymore or even outcasts at epl clubs. might get 1 or 2 here and there on a short loan but thats it.

Genks
Juarsz
Dos Santos
Joe Cole
Weiss
Hutton
Cueller
Wilson
McFadden
Townsend

Yet Ally says...There are NO bids in for anyone, yet he contradicts himself by saying...the next 72 hours could be interesting....

Is he reffering to the transfer market in general or to Rangers Transfers?

The rumour mills on here are going crazy and every second person seems to know Ian Durrant...he must know a lot of Gers Fans that post on online forums

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Who are Genks and Juarsz? Do they play the same positions as Gekas and Juhasz?

Mccoist maybe doesnt want other clubs to be aware of his targets after us losing out on previous ones when it was made public. eric83

An exciting 72 hours coming up Gers fans, there will be a couple of big names joining us. James McFadden will be signing on a free transfer along with loan deals for Vladimir Weiss and Danny Wilson. A striker will come in too, a number of options still being looked at including Motherwell's Jamie Murphy.
As for players leaving, James Beattie, Maurice Edu and Kirk Broadfoot are being actively touted to clubs down south. Davie Weir will remain at the club as backup.

Believable5 Unbelievable19

Is this the same Vladimir Weiss that just joined Espanyol?

Agree0 Disagree0

Weiss has went to spain, mcfadden is a dud and wilson can get tae f***

Agree0 Disagree0

Weiss has signed loan deal with espanyol so pinch of salt with the rest of the rumour

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll save others from replying to this.......all lies. End Of. Fact. Watch This Space etc etc

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe the bit about players being shopped about down south - whether anybody wants them is another matter. I don't see us being too active in the next few days. Maybe (and that's a big maybe) a loan signing or a free transfer in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah you talk balls mate. weiss off to spain, even if he was'nt he just slagged off ally to the media so burnt his bridges. McFadden does not want to play in spl full stop and is a celtic fan in any case. Wilson deal was dead moment you got bartley not to mention bocanegra and goian. celtic fan btw hence 'you got'

if i were rangers i would offer Broadfoot, Edu, Beattie to any championship club for free in exchange for a goalscoring striker cant believe they still play for rangers its an absolute disgrace.

The greek boy is a real target as rangers will be able to get him on the cheap, I need to be honest as a rangers supporter and season ticket holder, i have to be very dissapointed with the way craig whyte has handled everything, we had 6 weeks to get players in before the first malmo game and we brought in Ortiz for 500k and think want you want but this guy was a appeasal buy for the fans, and the whole situation with D Goodwullie was embarrassing. The only way we are going to ever get back in into europe at all is by investing at least 15-20 million into that team and remember bears...Jelavic will only be with us for one more season hes 25 and wants to play in europe we will cash in on him. If rangers were smart they would try there best to give him a contract extension and put him up to 25k a week like the top earners...but we wont.

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Its not for free if its for Exchange

Agree0 Disagree0

How can we invest 15-20m in a team?

We haven't even spent 5m this year. Roughly brought in about 2 and a half as well. We are penniless. Get a grip.

McCoist in his post match interview said that the next 72 hours could be "very, very interesting". Do you think we are getting a couple of big players?

Believable5 Unbelievable14

Think you could see a couple go to be fair.... No money at all in Scottish football and seen as the old Firm are out of Europe it can only get worse.

Agree0 Disagree0

Or maybe losing a couple?

Agree0 Disagree0

More like loosing a couple of big players

Agree0 Disagree0

Prob not, considering on ssn it says we have no bids out... Its either preperation for last min bids to get players or its other clubs sniffing about davis or jelavic

Agree0 Disagree0

Players should have been brought in before the Euro deadlines, and after we have CRASHED out of two to embarrassingly poor sides. We should and could have been in the C/L with a couple of quality new signings in place, but................. it all speaks for itself I think, so, so disappointing, cannot see any new players coming in, whats the point ??

Agree0 Disagree0

He said he was not told he would have to sell and if we have to sell BIG players it will be for BIG money hence the BIG contracts so if Whyte does decide to sell then its from a business side of things though i doubt it. Plus i doubt Ally would descibe the next 72 hours as interesting if its goin to be bad news he would have kept it hush.

As I reported last night Rangers are after Eintracht Franckfurt's Greek striker Theofanis Gekas. (This is on the STV website this morning).

The Bundesliga is the 3rd best league in UEFA after the Premiership and La Liga.

And Gekas managed to score 16 goals in the Bundesliga making him drawn 4th top scorer.
So just think of how he would do in the SPL.

You only have to go on to wikipedia to see he has scored tonnes of goals at every team he has played for. (Apart from Portsmouth as the new manager Tony Adams wouldnt play him).

159 goals in 393 appearances for club and country.

I don't care what anyone says, I really does look like a great striker and would make a mouthwatering partnership with Jelavic or Lafferty. Considering we could get him for less than £1 million, that is good business for a 16 goal Bundesliga player.

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Yeah fu**king 31 man, he''ll be like the rest of them< beattie and all

Here we f*cking go already, some amount of slabbers on this website.

Rangers manager Ally McCoist insists the club have no offers outstanding to bring fresh faces to Ibrox.

The Gers boss has been busy this summer with no less than six players joining to strengthen the SPL champions.

However, the club have missed out on targets such as ADO Den Haag's Wesley Verhoek and Roland Juhasz of Anderlecht.

Reports in Germany are linking Rangers with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt's Greek striker Theofanis Gekas, although McCoist insists no bids have been tabled for anyone.

The Gers tactician is also crossing his fingers that nobody leaves the Light Blues before the transfer window closes.

Offers

"There has been no offers for players and we have not been back in for anybody," commented McCoist.

"There are 72 hours to go and at the moment it's very quiet.

"In an ideal world I would have no one leaving and players coming in. I haven't been told I need to sell before I buy."

Goian is a steal at the money we paid as is carlos he could earn the club a fortune if this american tv deal comes off, canigga was as old as dirt he was good buy weve alot of young players in the squad a couple of old hands are always needed

Agree0 Disagree0

Difference is Caniggia genuinely was world class at his peak. Goian, Bocanegra, Gekas are all second rate. Sounds harsh but sadly it's reality.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just can't get my head round Ally as our manager for years to come, I would love it to be, but he needs backing from Mr Whyte to sign some half decent players, these old hands he's bringing in except for Wallace just will not be good enough, Goian is ok but that's all we need young guys like Wilson etc, very sad times ahead I'm afraid. the next 3 days will show how much whyte's words really mean...this team need's a striker,a creative midfielder & if poss a winger...failure to bring anyone in or worse sell anyone..will show whyte has no money or no trust in ally ....watp

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Mckay is still to come in who i think will be a big player for us.with regards to a striker,i hope we get someone cause yesterday big jela looked far from interested.hes blatantly not the man to be playin up top himself.

Agree0 Disagree0

We could sell 4-5 players and not do any damage, possibly improve the mood amoungst us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye and at the end of 3days you and the other timtalkers can come on here and apologise.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll be travelling hundreds of miles to protest if this happens. There will be hell from bears.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a valid point. He has watched us being eliminated from CL & EL. Now there is one more deadline for him to prove the doubters wrong He better take it.

Ally says there have been no bids made for anybody and he hasn't been told he will have to sell any player so I think we have our team no players in no players out

Not good enough, we are rotten, cmon whyte get the cheque book out now.

I really hope its not true about this greek striker, u only need 2 look across the city @ the greek diddy they have, greeks are gd in home country but rotten abroad, looks like another useless cheap signing with no sell on value.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Nearly 140 goals in 340 games, including spells in Germany, and 20 goals for his country. Hardly a muppet. His problems with a few of the clubs he's been at do worry me though.

Agree0 Disagree0

U obviously this gekas is first choice for the greek nantional team and hundred times better than samaras

Agree0 Disagree0

Just read about it in the times not a bad scoring record in deutshland(notbad)we need back up get this dude Beattie out and I think we should let broadtoe go as well maybe a swap+ with Motherwell guys good to have as back up but must be frustrating as hell for him good luck to him if he does.....

I see Bedoya is a great catch already. He only played 20 mins or so and has already stated on Rangers official website that he was incredibly tired, spitting up blood and could feel it in his luns and throat...WTF? Spitting up blood after 20 mins? Wonderful.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

The guy has been in bed all week with the flu... Read up on the facts first

Agree0 Disagree0

Tell every1 the whole story a**ehole the boy said he has been feeling unwell all week but if u ask me that shows he couldn't wait to get started I was at the game sit in copland rear and the boy was out warming up most of the game unlike the rest of the lazy f***s on our bench
WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Think if you read it right, he hasn't been well in the last week but obviously must have felt ok enough to go on for the last 20, wouldn't panick bud.

Agree0 Disagree0

In the times it did say he spat bloood...I agree with the lazy bench some of these pricks look more relaxed than me and im on a couch...look alive.wish I played for rangers...cxnts

Agree0 Disagree0

It's funny that, when I posted the above the article on Rangers site hadn't stated he had been sick, nor did he. It has since been altered/updated. So need to call me an a**hole, I'm really starting to dislike about half of my fellow bears...Almost as bad as our team atm.

In the German newspaper 'de Bild' it says that Greek striker Theofanis Gekas has fallen out with the staff at Eintracht Franckfurt and was booed off after being substituted in a recent match, and is now set to join Rangers.

This is what the English translation of the article says:

It was a fiery scene after Eintracht’s dreary 0-0 draw against Paderborn. When forward Theofanis Gekas (30) was exchanged after 83 weak minutes, the Greek spun – and probably has no more future in Frankfurt.
Exchanged, booed, freaky.

Coach Armin Veh tried to take explosive effect out: “Theofanis is just very ambitious always wants to play and score goals of course”.

He can do that if possible soon somewhere else. Since weeks of being tracked by Glasgow Rangers. The only problem is that the top Scottish club was chucked out out of the Champions league and afterwards still out of the Europa League. The money is thereby absent for Gekas. However, the move should still be obtained by the transfer deadline on Wednesday.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

His goalscoring record is ok, but i remember when he was at portsmouth, i watched the game that he played in and he was brought off at half time, he was awful, also hes 31 yet again i bet this our 7 or even 8th choice strike, and i bet there 2-3 other tagrts thast are younger and better, but coz they will cost more i bet whyte has said to ally thats your lot pathetic, what happend to the 11milllion we bid for four players a month ago, absolute joke

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers no bids in for any players came from ally himself looks like it's what we've got don't think we will lose any 1 but no more coming in poor showing in transfer Market from whyte as even he bound to no we need more pace in the team badly need a goal poacher steph

Agree0 Disagree0

Most of this was poorly translated yet the last part about a move to rangers was almost word for word perfect. Something fishy about this post. Doubt this transfer will happen too

Where are we getting all the Davis stuff from . The guy is rangers through and through and see's his future at rangers he signed a 5 year contract and after he signed it i quote he said I'm delighted to sign a new contract at rangers that secures my future i never had any intentions of leaving rangers it was a dream come true when i signed for them the first time and i see my future at rangers does that sound like a guy who will want to leave even if an offer comes in??

Believable6 Unbelievable5

You are so gullable. footballers tell the fans exactly what they want to hear. if descent money is put on the table for davis then like every other player at the club they will be sold. i for one wouldnt be too disappointed, he is way overrated and would be shown up to be very average if he were in english football just like jelavic. too many big games pass davis by and doesnt do enough for me. the fact that no english club has come in for him says it all

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2011 00:19:46
Davis has been our best player so far this season so i don't know why everybody is complaining about him edu is a complete liability wee need to get him out the door i thought broadfoot done OK today but wee need him out the door to be honest

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Davis has gone missing in every euro game this season & I have seen him pull out of countless tackles if u think he has been our best player this season I would advice you 2 watch the inverness game again he was f***in shocking just about every pass he made went to inverness player I am not just saying this because I am not 1 to jump on bandwagons I give credit when credit is due he played well against motherwell but that was because naismith was beside him and motherwell gave them plenty of time on the ball but as soon as some1 is up his arse he is a s**tebag
WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Davis is a wimp, im fed up with him pulling out of challenges, he's never a rangers captain, he only plays well if the rest of team play well, he'll never dig us out a hole. eric83

Agree0 Disagree0

The squad is small enough, we need another couple of people in and can't afford to let anyone go, even if you think they are rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2011 00:19:10

Livermore, Feilhaber, Magaye Gueye to sign before close of transfer window. Fleck and Broadfoot will go out on loan.

Believable7 Unbelievable11

No way everton will let gueye go their squad is thinner than majstorovics chances of world player of the year award

Agree0 Disagree0

Livermore is allegedly part of the Parker deal... SSN

Agree0 Disagree0

Livermore being used as a part of the deal to sign Scott Parker from West Ham.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way a deal to sign anyone from MLS will go through before Wednesday - Feilhaber - not happening

Agree0 Disagree0

NOBODY will sign unless we offload two or three and that does not seem likely.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have zero chance of getting livermore. i do agree that we should loan out flecky to get regular first team football but broadfoot wont. rangers are already trying to flog him

Would expect at least one new signing b4 the deadline. Would like to see:

Tom Hateley - Good tackler, good free kicks and good cover for right back.
Chris Humphrey - Great pace, good finish and a good cross as well.
Jamie Murphy/Johnny Russell - Both good pace, a wee bit skillful and know how to finish for young players.
Alexei Eremenko - Creative, good passer and good finisher, did really well for killie last season.
Maybe a right mid/winger but main priorities r striker and creative midfielder.

We may also have a bit of money to spend since we r supposedly offloading Broadfoot, Edu, Weir and Beattie according to the Mail On Sunday.

Believable5 Unbelievable5

So you basically just want us to get worse with all those SPL bog standard players? only one i would remotely consider for the squad is eremenko.

Have a bit more ambition
