Was at the rangers golf day today and Gordon smith told us we might sign one more player but depends on who goes out...also was told that ally was told he had 15mil to spend and he has received nothing as yet what has went out has balanced the books, also told that the debt has not been paid off it has only been moved to another bank off shore good sources

according to two radio stations 2night, smeltic are to spend a right few quid over the next couple of days which has me worried cause i cant see rangers doing any significant business. we badly need to bring in players that can go right into that first team but as a passionate bluenose i'm worried sick for the months ahead.

Pointless going for another left back. we have wallace, papac, whittaker, bocanegra and wylde that can play there

Why are fans wanting Alan Hutton to return. Harry Redknapp clearly doesn't fancy him which goes to show he was never worth the 9 million we got for him.

If I remember correctly, Hutton was s**t at Rangers 1st time around, was a target for the Boo boys then had a great 4-5 months and we managed to flog him for £9million. Great piece of business. I do realise though he's an improved player playing in the Premiership, but if he doesn't hit the ground running i'm sure the Boo boy's will be on his back straight away. We need a fresh face

the loss of C/L money 15 mill, plus Europa League 4-5mill, and the lenghty contracts to 3 players worth 12-14mill, is a liability that can no longer afford

An exciting 72 hours coming up Gers fans, there will be a couple of big names joining us. James McFadden will be signing on a free transfer along with loan deals for Vladimir Weiss and Danny Wilson. A striker will come in too, a number of options still being looked at including Motherwell's Jamie Murphy.
As for players leaving, James Beattie, Maurice Edu and Kirk Broadfoot are being actively touted to clubs down south. Davie Weir will remain at the club as backup.

The Gers boss has been busy this summer with no less than six players joining to strengthen the SPL champions.

However, the club have missed out on targets such as ADO Den Haag's Wesley Verhoek and Roland Juhasz of Anderlecht.

Reports in Germany are linking Rangers with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt's Greek striker Theofanis Gekas, although McCoist insists no bids have been tabled for anyone.

I really hope its not true about this greek striker, u only need 2 look across the city @ the greek diddy they have, greeks are gd in home country but rotten abroad, looks like another useless cheap signing with no sell on value.

Nearly 140 goals in 340 games, including spells in Germany, and 20 goals for his country. Hardly a muppet. His problems with a few of the clubs he's been at do worry me though.

U obviously this gekas is first choice for the greek nantional team and hundred times better than samaras

It's funny that, when I posted the above the article on Rangers site hadn't stated he had been sick, nor did he. It has since been altered/updated. So need to call me an a**hole, I'm really starting to dislike about half of my fellow bears...Almost as bad as our team atm.

In the German newspaper 'de Bild' it says that Greek striker Theofanis Gekas has fallen out with the staff at Eintracht Franckfurt and was booed off after being substituted in a recent match, and is now set to join Rangers.

This is what the English translation of the article says:

It was a fiery scene after Eintracht’s dreary 0-0 draw against Paderborn. When forward Theofanis Gekas (30) was exchanged after 83 weak minutes, the Greek spun – and probably has no more future in Frankfurt.

Coach Armin Veh tried to take explosive effect out: “Theofanis is just very ambitious always wants to play and score goals of course”.

Davis has been our best player so far this season so i don't know why everybody is complaining about him edu is a complete liability wee need to get him out the door i thought broadfoot done OK today but wee need him out the door to be honest

Davis has gone missing in every euro game this season & I have seen him pull out of countless tackles if u think he has been our best player this season I would advice you 2 watch the inverness game again he was f***in shocking just about every pass he made went to inverness player I am not just saying this because I am not 1 to jump on bandwagons I give credit when credit is due he played well against motherwell but that was because naismith was beside him and motherwell gave them plenty of time on the ball but as soon as some1 is up his arse he is a s**tebag

We have zero chance of getting livermore. i do agree that we should loan out flecky to get regular first team football but broadfoot wont. rangers are already trying to flog him

Would expect at least one new signing b4 the deadline. Would like to see:

Tom Hateley - Good tackler, good free kicks and good cover for right back.
Chris Humphrey - Great pace, good finish and a good cross as well.
Jamie Murphy/Johnny Russell - Both good pace, a wee bit skillful and know how to finish for young players.
Alexei Eremenko - Creative, good passer and good finisher, did really well for killie last season.
Maybe a right mid/winger but main priorities r striker and creative midfielder.

We may also have a bit of money to spend since we r supposedly offloading Broadfoot, Edu, Weir and Beattie according to the Mail On Sunday.

So you basically just want us to get worse with all those SPL bog standard players? only one i would remotely consider for the squad is eremenko.
