Andy H put his body on the Line for the jersey today, and Tav was immense. The mhankies were there for the taking today - how I pray for a creative midfielder and someone to play off Alfredo because if we play with that intensity in every game we could win the league.

Andy Halliday deserves a lot of credit but the whole team were at it today and I think the management team deserve a lot of credit Gerrard was starting to get a bit of stick on here recently but the whole team were on point today and it’s down to him. Who wouldn’t have taken a decent run in Europe and been joint top at new year at the start of the season? 3 top signings in January and we can win it #55 anyone know any dado prso type players on the market I loved that person 😃.

We won't get three top signings in January, highlandbear, it's not the market for top signings. We'll possibly get Davis and maybe one other loan player and with Dorrans and Murphy coming back that might pretty well be it, and I'd be happy to keep a decent war chest for the summer when we'll make our most important signings. This window will be all about shipping players out and saving their wages, maybe up to £100k a week if we manage to dump all the dross who are either on loan or not featuring any more.

Halliday had a cracking game but for me Arfield was the best player on the park! Brown has dominated us and set the tempo time and time again and today he met his match and that was crucial.

Tbh lads thought Halliday played amazing! Tav was superb Arfield. McCrorie. n Jack were different class! Am from Greenock heavy Timvile but al tell yous this there no saying much the nyt! 😂1-0 going on 8-0! Chuffed to .! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

agree stuarty - hard to single anyone out as every single player stood up today and wore the jersey with pride

yes tav was superb, mcrorie immense, halliday had an absl blinder, both cntr halves and fredo put in huge shifts but i agree scotty arfield was a collosus

he went toe to toe with lego muncher and matched him
every header, kick, run, elbow and snarl - totally bossed him.

Broony was totally bossed by scotty arfield yesterday, of that there's little doubt. Gives me great pleasure in saying scott brown looked his age yesterday against a very resurgent rangers midfield! He's most definitely had his day and is going back the way! I revelled in the knowledge that brown got his comeuppance yesterday, as the tremendous arfield walked all over him! Broony looked rather ordinary and leggy yesterday! Good riddance to an importer who had it easy for far too long and his level was only scottish football! Very overrated player, i always thought!

Totally agree supercooper
If ever a game will be remembered as a catalyst for ending Browns career it will be yesterday.

Going into January it’s quite clear what areas we need to strengthen and it will only take one or two quality players
There was so much talk in the press by ex Celtic players saying we need to spend millions and millions to catch them
If you ask me it’s that kit that need to spend big as their team is regressing.
Their defence wouldn’t have looked out of place in the highland league yesterday when they were out under pressu (granted they were missing Tearney)
By the end of the season three of their back line will probably be gone and need replaced
Big pressure on Rodgers to get signings right in the next two windows and he has a record of signing a few rubbish players

I really hope other teams see from yesterday what happens to the puddle drinkers when you don’t sit in but get right up in their faces and put pressure on them

Hearts, Hibs and ourselves have now done it and tore them apart.

30 Dec 2018 12:00:10
Fraser52 leave the Highland League out of it, sure there are some rubbish defenders in it but they are not as bad as that lot yesterday LOL.

30 Dec 2018 13:53:01
Scott Brown certainly outthought, outfought and outplayed yesterday. It was great to see him being knocked about the way he has been dishing it out for years. Time to move on now, nothing won and a single emphatic win against Celtic although enjoyable means very little until we start winning trophies.

30 Dec 2018 14:16:19
Scott Brown was very effective at what he done. I agree his legs are gone now and he’ll be off soon enough. Thought he was decent in that role.

30 Dec 2018 19:06:49
Supercooper bit over the top mate.

Broony has been a loyal servant to us and done us proud. Its players like him who don't chase the riches of EPL etc and provide something special to both sides of old firm. In his case being a simple no frills effective midfield ball winner. Paul Gascoigne played for yous at perhaps his peak when he could of played much higher level like Broony.

Think this is him declining now, worst game i saw him play in. Although Lustig etc were not far behind. Looks like he is off to Australia.

2 major blows already with regards to transfer targets, Solanke going to palace and Dowell going to Sheffield Utd. I just hope we have quality signings lined up especially when you see Celtic signing the the young lad weah from PSG on loan while we are linked with a gillingham striker.

29 Dec 2018 20:55:11
36thulster, for goodness sake go into your fridge and get a bottle wine and 4 cans and have a great night we all deserve it 😭✌️✌️🇬🇧.

29 Dec 2018 22:07:00
Major blows, 36thulster? A striker who never scores and a very young and inexperienced full back? Away and lie down, man.

30 Dec 2018 00:14:33
Do Wells sn attacking midfielder burnbank.

30 Dec 2018 09:58:52
How can it be a blow? We got a striker from Roma and look how that turned out!

30 Dec 2018 10:18:58
Posted it before the match yately 😂.

30 Dec 2018 19:08:28
That striker for Gillingham is apparently signing for Newcastle.
