Newco Rangers boss Ally McCoist admits American Alejandro Bedoya will quit Ibrox and he expects others to follow him.
McCoist said: "Bedoya said on Friday there was an opportunity for him to go to Helsingborg, I think it was.
"I tried to talk him out of it but it looks to have been unsuccessful.”

Another USA international Maurice Edu didn't play in the 2-1 Ramsdens Cup win at Brechin because of injury but he could still leave along with fellow countryman Carlos Bocanegro and Romanian Dorin Goian, who both played at Glebe Park.
McCoist added.: "You would have to ask them. I'm hopeful but I'm realistic enough to know there is an opportunity for one or two to dive out of the window. I hope that won't be the case but I'm not daft."

McCoist is bidding to sign former Kilmarnock player Dean Shiels and Greek midfielder Pantelis Kafes this week and has pledged to make a raft of new signings before the club's transfer ban kicks in on September 1.

He explained: "We need to build a squad for the next 18 months to two years and we've got to do that in the next four weeks."

Believable16 Unbelievable14

Did green not say both could leave with his blessing what is mccoist all about ?

Agree0 Disagree1

When he says dive out the window is that not just the same as walking away??...just curious thats all!.....

Agree0 Disagree1

McCoist is simply saying he hopes they stays, but understands if they leave.

Agree1 Disagree1

Why oh why did he stoop to playing former SPL players as trialist... is this not back to the dubious attention to the laws of the former club?

Will this see a challenge, is it bringing game into disrepute again?

oh Ally - why not just win clean.

Agree0 Disagree3

Have anotrher pop at Ally!

he's only stating the blooming obvious in answer to questions from the esteemed press

until they go they are rangers players - he is realistic enough to know that if they get ANY offer they will be off

bil72

Agree2 Disagree0

That was another day.

Agree0 Disagree0

Edu did not look that injured when he was out on the razz on Saturday night!

Bluegenius

Agree0 Disagree1

Whats that idiot on about? "Oh Ally, why not just win clean?" The Ramsden cup rules allow for 2 trialists - and anyway - the only reason why Little and Black were not registered on time was because of the shenanigans of the SFA and SPL. Grow up ffs!

Agree1 Disagree0

Why oh why did he stoop to playing former SPL players as trialist... is this not back to the dubious attention to the laws of the former club?
-------------------------

They could not be registered on time, because Regan and Doncaster, made sure granting the licence , came after the time for registration

BF

Agree0 Disagree0

I think youll find it was rangers shenanigans that caused it all and green dragged it on refusing to let go of cheated titles that dont belong to him or oldco

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you'll find your a bit blinkered & talking BS!

Believable26 Unbelievable32

I do hope this is true as it will futher boost the rangers squad corby loyal w.a.t.p

Agree0 Disagree0

Tiger,
think he's on his way back, but still has a niggling knee injury, surely Tiger is high risk signing, better letting him focus on his golf LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

Tiger??I thought his nickname at his previous clubs was sicknote!

Anyone know why Rangers wore last season's home shorts today ? And why they had no Irn Bru SFL arm badges either ?

Believable6 Unbelievable25

Because we aint officially an SFL team yet. Temporary licence for that game only... So far anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because we aint officially an SFL team yet. Temporary licence for that game only... So far anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

They wore this seasons 'spirit of 72' kit, and the irn-bru SFL badges weren't worn because it was the Ramsdens cup we were playing in, not the league.... hope that helps fellow bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't wear SFL logo as still not officially a member, today's game was played on a "conditional" basis. Also the lack of the five stars on badge surely put to bed any notion that the oldco honours transferred to sevco. The shorts were bizarre touch.

Agree0 Disagree1

Or why the number 12 shirt was worn when it was retired last season?

Agree0 Disagree0

Also why did the coaching staff have last years kit as well all they're jackets had five stars above the badge. They maybe didn't get the new kit in on time as there is only a tempory licence issued

Agree0 Disagree1

Who cares ! we won ... BIG BILL.

Agree1 Disagree0

They weren't... Or did you have this seasons strap last season you wizard! as for the irn bru SFL arm badges i can only assume it was because it was a cup game, not sure tho

Agree0 Disagree0

The 5 stars are sewn into the seam down the side of the shirt.

Agree1 Disagree0

The 5 stars were removed when the spirit of 72 kit was released because the crest is massive like it was back in the day

if we had no titles then they couldn't threaten to strip of us of them

Agree3 Disagree0

Thanks for answering the irn bru part but anyone know why they had last years shorts on today , check a pic from the game , the had a blue stripe down them and the 5 star badge , not the spirit if 72 all plain ones they sell on the JJB megastore , only thing i can think was they had preprinted them with SPL numbers . confused.com

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys read the post he said SHORTS not shirts and he was right it was last seasons shorts they used today with this seasons retro shirt , that is very strange indeed

Agree0 Disagree0

The no 12 strip was retired in SPL
In SFL numbers are 1 - whatever - - oldstyle - not squad numbers

bil72

Agree0 Disagree0

Oft why do Celtic fans keep posting on this forum :(
Rangers still have 5 stars on new kit, tho it's down the side next to the tailored by & as for coaching staff wearing last seasons kit, they actually wore this seasons ya plank, last seasons was red with blue :)

Agree0 Disagree0

People obviously don't know the new top so well... The stars haven't been removed completely they have been moved to the seam on the left ham side of the top and the stars are coloured blue so aren't entirely visible but are still there....

Gary

Agree0 Disagree0

They wore this seasons shirt its been out for weeks get out and buy one and you will see 5 stars are down the side the shirt was brought out before liqudation but will still be used as all rights to the badge ect were bought also. watching on bbc isnt following your team so get out and buy the shirt or get to a game!

Gary

Agree0 Disagree0

"if we had no titles then they couldn't threaten to strip of us of them"

I think you will find the "theat" to strip titles is from oldco as sevco don't have any titles etc for them to be stripped away.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's only the home kit whats spirit of '72, the rest of the rangers kits and training stuff will have the five stars.

Agree0 Disagree0

SEvco is resisting the EBT investigation because of 18 available punishments to the new club. Green doesn't care about the old club's titles, the issue is also possible fines and points deductions. SPL is insisting he accept punishments on newco to do more than strip titles from oldco.
It doesn't mean anything about history continuing.
The old club retired number 12. The new club being different is playing it.
The strips were the pre liquidation strips. New designs to be released on approval of SFA.

Agree0 Disagree0

The stars aren't missing their just planked up their duke to hide them from the spl what normal people do with things they stole

Agree0 Disagree0

Why r we bothering what the guys wear we r back playing football, as Big Bill says we won lets get this site back to a rumours site. The good the bad & the downright ugly there should b plenty of them until the 1st Sept

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people dont ahve talk nonsense on here. New strip designs to be approved, baha!
New strip has 5 stars in blue down seam. All other kit, training gear etc still maintains the 5 stars above the smaller crest. As for the shorts, hadnt noticed prob something to do with the numbers on the shorts which is unusual for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

When green found out he didnt get the players they transferred over last years shorts as something of equal value

Does anyone know how much Broadfoot, Alexander and Wallace are on per week.

I believe Broadfoot negotiated a new contract about a year or so ago, hopefully he's not on something ridiculous.

Mac2.

Believable7 Unbelievable9

Around the 12k a week mark for gk and Wallace

Not sure about club foot

Agree0 Disagree0

Whatever that clodhopper is on is too much - Jaxie

Just wondering where bedoya was? Didn't he play for us in the warm up games before or hasnt he signed yet?

Believable3 Unbelievable11

He has left

Agree0 Disagree1

Think he must be away or close to being away with him nowhere to be seen or even on the bench, good luck to him, didn't get much of a chance last season and even when did he didn't impress too much

Agree0 Disagree0

Rumour is he is signing for a Swedish team; think it is Helsingborg !?!....I think that's what I read earlier somewhere online today.

Agree0 Disagree0

According to Charles Green last night, Bedoya has now left.

Agree0 Disagree0

Off to Helsingbourg I believe

Agree0 Disagree0

Bedoya seemingly signing for helsingborgs in sweden hes crap anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

He probably saw sense and got the hell out of Dodge....?

Iain

Must have been playing for the 2nd team. graeme

Well done to Rangers today, maybe didn't play well but managed to get the right result .With a few more games under our belts Iam sure we will improve. At this stage players don't need criticism , they need encouragement and also thanks, thanks for sticking by the team and for commiting their future to the best team in Scotland.

Believable31 Unbelievable56

You must be having a laugh. That was poor stuff. How many players were in the team who had not only top flight but international experience. It's gonna be a struggle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe you haven't heard but Celtic are the best team currently

Agree0 Disagree7

No problem Ally or Charlie. Aye well done to Rangers, taken to extra time against Brechin City.

Drew

Agree0 Disagree2

How can you seriously say the best team in Scotland, haven't even played one league game yet, with the starting from afresh, plaudits need to be re-earned

Agree0 Disagree0

Think the op is looking at this match through rose tinted glasses, If this is anything near what you expect to play every week in Div 3, its going to be a long frustrating way back for La Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Best team in Scotland - have you been in a coma for the past year!!. With your starting 11 you should take 5 or 6 of teams like that. Don't rush back to the SPL and with performances like that maybe you wont!!.

Agree0 Disagree0

The best team where? !!!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Was begining to think I wouldn't see The Rangers play again. Not the most auspicious of starts but it was enough. A big well done and thanks to all those who helped us to get back up and on winning ways again. Maybe even a special thanks to Charles Green who is still an unknown quantity in my mind but does seem prepared to talk our case. Straight talking with some real common sense on occassion. Even the longest journey starts with just a single step - hopefully we are on our way.

Agree0 Disagree0

Karma's a b#%@h we'll b lucky to reach div2 .don't think ally will b hanging about long if we keep playing like that ? Airport bear

Agree0 Disagree0

The best team in scotland ?? extra time to beat breachin and its the best team in scotland

Agree0 Disagree0

Best team in Scotland? Why you in the 3rd Div then? Tlk about deluded

JGG

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I watched the game on BBC Alba this afternoon (picking up some Gaelic lol) and I'm not surprised we struggled a wee bit, with no proper pre-season we will struggle in the early few games plus the players in the lower leagues are well used to that type of game and will be in the player faces at every opportunity. We definitely need experienced players to help the youngsters through the next year at least. One thing that did annoy me is we tried to walk the ball into the net at times, I think we should be trying more shots from outside the box as teams like Brechin will pack their defences.
Well done to Brechin for making it a tough first game in our new home - the SFL

Agree1 Disagree0

Your having a laugh we were really luck not to get beat today And black is being show to be a very very average player I fear for a long season and we may not be out of trouble yet mccoists coments are to be punished as are greens today,we still have to receive our punishment from the spl and her hmrc

Agree0 Disagree0

How many capped players were playing today? i rest my case. pathetic.

Agree0 Disagree1

"Rangers" weren't playing today. . . . They died because of corruption and cheating !
Finbar

Agree0 Disagree1

We have not had much of a "PRE-SEASON", today was a test for a fairly rusty team, for Brechin it was almost a cup final and fair play to Brechin for giving their all. This is how a lot of our matches will be in the coming seasons and we will have to get used to it. Good to be back playing though.

Agree1 Disagree1

Ive been on this site long enough now to not be surprised by some of the bull that's spewed by so called "fans". However here I am taken completely aback by the totall sh!te most of you are talking! The original poster is the fan that Rangers need, those opposed to his comments are deluded. This team hasn't played together and the heart of the defence doesn't want to play or get injured for obvious reasons. Bounded together by new players and kids. Add all the pressure of making this crazy situation real and starting the season off and I'm sure what we got was decent and a result. Those of you expecting more, as I've said many times before need to go now. Find a new team or better still a new sport.

4 year deal

Agree1 Disagree2

For all of you that wanted us in D3 if this is the football you want us to watch god help us. The quicker we are back up the better

Agree0 Disagree3

He was a rangers man as a kid so why not but probavly stay with his dad at killie

Agree0 Disagree0

7000 per week.

50000 signing on fee

Agree1 Disagree0

Fellow bears i fear it might b a few seasons before we even get to d2. that show was an absolute disgrace and for 1 will not b wasting any more money on the circus ! Raging bear

Agree1 Disagree2

Hard to watch, but with a strong forward and a midfielder we'll get better, time is required to build another team, and money.

Agree1 Disagree0

He will run amock in the bottom tier

Agree0 Disagree0

A very good player with an eye for goal, will score a load of goals.

Agree1 Disagree0

To the muppet that thinks the game was crap today, just remember that we have'nt played a proper game all pre season. I firmly believe that it will get better once we have some game time behind us. If your not with us your against US!

Agree2 Disagree0

Is he even gona sign for us would be good signing

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with Raging Bear plus add....ha ha ha ha ha

Iain

Agree0 Disagree0

For those moaning about the standard of today's game - ffs the players have had NO pre-season games, but get used to it because all the teams in Div3 will scrap when they play us -support the team!

Agree0 Disagree0

To the 'raging bear' how can you say that was a disgrace? It was the 1st game of the season from a club who haven't had a pre season and beat a club in a league ABOVE us! Sure it wasn't the greatest performance but am afraid it's something we're gonna have to get used to..... We can't possibly play attractive football every week in the lower leagues. And as for sayin you won't be back.....well don't come back then! We don't need fans who walk away after 1 performance that didn't suit! After all the recent troubles we've had you should just be grateful like the rest of us that we still have a club to follow! And if you walk away now don't even think about coming back when we're back in the spl winnin titles again! We don't need that type of fan...... Good riddance to you!

Agree1 Disagree0

Remember fans-the SPL and co have mucked us about for the last few months. How could we have a settled side focused completely on the game. When we get a licence and get settled we'll do alright. As for Dean Shiels-a good player who could score 20 goals in Div 3. Keep the faith. Roy.

Agree0 Disagree0

And so the saga of the glory hunters begins. This is not the RANGERS we are all used to with top flight spl players. This is a squad with little to no games played pre season. YOU cannot judge a full season off one game. Same retards that judged Mcoist for his forst game performance. Rnagers will get better once the moral increases and the dust settles from the aftermath on Admin/Liq.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you don't want to spend money on the club don't bother. All us true fans will be there supporting our team week in week out regardless.

RANGERS: Alexander; Broadfoot, Goian, Bocanegra, Wallace; Black, Hutton, McCulloch, Macleod, Little, McKay

SUBS: Gallacher, Cole, Naismith, Crawford.

Believable13 Unbelievable16

What happened to edu and bedoya.

Agree1 Disagree0

Definatley need penetration up front, that was bad today, when Wallace, Goian, Bocanegra and who ever else leaves the team will be in trouble if we depend on the youngsters, they'll come good "no doubt" but we all know that'll take time, I hope it's true about Shiels coming in and a good front man

Agree1 Disagree1

I am responding because goian and bocenegra will be going

Agree0 Disagree0

Looking down that list, it's obviously not last season's line up. But it's probably not a lot worse than what an injury-hit team may have looked like last season, or indeed a team with players rested for an easy cup match. In short, I think Rangers have come off reasonably well and player departures could have been much worse.

Agree1 Disagree0

Goian was utter hit and miss.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Jul 2012 14:06:54
Have Edu, Bocanegra and Goian agreed to transfer their contracts? And if so surely we must receive a transfer fee if they leave.

Believable20 Unbelievable11

Rangers will receive a fee if an offer comes in and they want to leave.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yes we will but will be for small fee only

Agree2 Disagree0

Should get rid of them now time to play all youths build a solid good team , please ally change tactics , this is the time to try and play good attacking one touch football , pack in the long ball crap, no disrespect to div 3 teams but this current rangers squad should be taking at least 3-4 goals a game, but good to get first game out of the way.

Agree1 Disagree0

All three will be gone before friday source ...... common sense ... doh ...!!

Agree1 Disagree0

Was not that long ago there was an offer of about 800,000 for Edu, so can't of gone down by that much!

Would imagine that if Kenneth were to have such little ambition he'd had opted for the 4th tier of scottish football by now ... dont you ......?

Agree0 Disagree0

Gary Kenneth isn't that good a player; I am sure we can do better than that !?! He loses concentration too easily and makes too many errors.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gary Kenneth at Bristol Rovers for a medical! Ross Perry is as good, if not better than Kenneth. Youth needs 2 play a part.

Can anyone update me on the latest situation for season tickets have we to wait till Friday next week before we renew our tickets, also will new renewal forms be sent out?

Believable9 Unbelievable19

The Rangers website has all the answers.

Agree0 Disagree0

ON Monday the Club communicated season ticket prices for 12/13 and we are now in a position to confirm that all season ticket holders will receive a new season ticket renewal form in the post from Wednesday 31 July next week.

NB: Season ticket holders who have already renewed with the original form and pricing from June will not receive a new form. Where payment has already been made the Club will credit the season ticket holder with the appropriate amount above and where payment has not been taken the Club will charge the amount of your new ticket.

The season ticket deadline is now Tuesday 7 August 2012. From Tuesday 14 August the Club will open season ticket sales to supporters for all areas of the stadium.Hope this helps.

Agree0 Disagree0

Renewals will be sent out by weds by all accounts ..information is on official website

This is the info on season tickets........come on bears get as many sold as we can can ........lets show the rest of scottish football....were still alive and kicking ........WE DONT DO WALKING AWAY ....LARKYDERRY

Agree1 Disagree0

Been a season ticket holder for over 25years, why renew with this shower in charge they can't even get proper banking facilities!!!! only cash or cheque thought we were in the 21st century. John F

Agree0 Disagree1

You can renew online or by phone from tomorrow (Monday) and all current holders will have been sent renewal letters by Wednesday.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have heard from an impeccable source Sevco Scotland will be in administration by November. It will be difficult for them to realise a profit by selling the club on particularly as a fraud investigation into the business of old rangers is now gaining momentum and targeting individuals

Grout

Agree0 Disagree2

I wont renew. John Brown told me not to and I trust Bomber to do the right thing. If he says no then that's good enough for me. I don't trust Green, he's not a Rangers man. John Brown is and he said NO!
