Berra's agent has argued McCoist to begin talks to sign him. He's not after money because he's already turned down 2 Russian clubs. He wants to be close to his family.

The noises coming out of the Berra camp seem like he wants to come, he would be a great signing for where we are right now. If the money's right then I would take him and pair him up with mculloch in defence for next year.

The teams starting to look good:

Bell

Foster Berra mculloch Wallace

Little law peralta templeton

Daly Clarke

On paper that shouldn't lose a game.

I'd rather drop daily, move little up one to his best position! Law across one and McLeod in the middle! I think it would be a sin not to have any of the young boys in the first 11 after last yr, have to remember where we came from

Berra is an international centre half, let's hope that we get him. It's all about getting up each season and getting there with a calibre of player that can cope with the ascending league. By the time we get up who knows what the squad will look like? Watp

Agree0 Disagree0

We won't be going into next season without mculloch in the team. Mcoist will know where he will play whether it be in defence, midfield or up front and he will play if he's fit.

I'm all for the young guys to provide backup and fill the substitute places but we need our first team to be as strong as possible.

Marian Kello has hinted to his local Slovakian media channels that he would not be able to turn down a move to Ibrox. As i've stated twice before on this page, expect his unveiling in the next week or so.

Christophe berra wants to sign for rangers, it's in the day's Glasgow evening times, I've posted before that rangers WILL SIGN Christophe berra, marius zaliukas, Craig Gordon if he's fit and over all his injuries and if not we'll sign ex hearts keeper Marian kello, over the next 2 weeks, these players that I've mentioned above WILL all be Glasgow rangers players, guaranteed!

Believable50 Unbelievable26

Berra does ot nwant to sign, he has no other options on the table and will only sign if thereis nothing else. Chase him.

Agree0 Disagree1

You say he has no other options but according to the paper his agent said that he knocked back 2 offers from Russia?

Agree0 Disagree1

He has already turned down two jobs in russia

Not true as has had offers from russia but its understood he wants to return 2 scotland with his family

Agree0 Disagree1

Christophe has moved back to edinburgh with his girlfriend and baby. he's looking for a club up here and rangers are his realistic chance of a club here. he's a celtic fan but that doesn't matter to him

Agree0 Disagree0

If Rangers can sign him it should be a no brainer. He is the best Scottish Centre Back in football right now

Goian and Bocanegra contracts ripped up. Saving club £2m

We should here signing of Zaliukus and Kello by beginning of July.

WATP

Believable43 Unbelievable21

If its that easy they should rip up McCoists contract, he is the worst manager I have seen in over 40 years of watching football and is not worth 1% of what he is paid to serve up the pish he calls football.

Agree1 Disagree6

Christophe berra considering switch the gers, would be a good pairing at cb if we got both :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Said weeks ago that they had played their last games for the club and was slaughtered by some on here. Wonder if anyone responsible will come on to apologise?

Agree0 Disagree1

I love the way you guys put a positive spin on everything. saved £2m.

did you not lose £2m/£4m on the money you payed for them and the money you lost from the sell on fees?. shammy

Agree2 Disagree2

You cannot just rip up a contract, they will both have to have compensation paid. This could be buying out the remainder of their contracts which would not be cheap. They are not going to just walk away with no pay out.

Agree0 Disagree2

Kello won't get a look in if Craig Gordon proves a decent level of fitness to les blues.
The writing could be also be on the wall for Cammy Bell as the long term Gers no1 as Craig is at a different level to him ability wise.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you really that stupid that you want rid of McCoist without him having a real go with his own team? He inherited a team which smith done wonders with to achieve any success and was becoming stagnant after so many years without real investment regarding new signings. He then had last year where a handful of players were available at the start of the season and had to go out and panic buy players that he probably knew weren't of a rangers standard but had to get because clearly nobody else was going to want to join us. McCoist could have left us years ago when he smith and McDowall went months with no wages. Then again after administration when he again went without wages. He could have left us in the lurch with nobody left at the club but again stood by us when somebody was needed. People seem to forget these things and it's about time we stood by him after everything the man has done for the club and the fans.

Agree3 Disagree1

SO WHO'S KIDDING WHO HERE. Are we to believe that these player were going to earn £2million between then. Get a grip this is absolute rubbish and only a fool would believe this story to be true.
What we want to know is how much did it cost us to rip the contracts up these fellas didn't walk away with nothing.
SO COME ON WALTER LET THE PEOPLE THAT PUT THERE HARD EARNED MONEY INTO THE CLUB KNOW what's HAPPENING.

Agree0 Disagree1

Leaving by mutual consent - wonder what the pay off was. still money out the door now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not necessarily cost anything. Works out best for players if they are free agents. Clubs may have been put off by agreeing a fee. Rangers get em off bill. May have cost a bit but may not. The article says saved 2 mill. It may be correct. Never know.

Agree1 Disagree0

I can't believe people are thinking we had to give these guys some sort off pay off! They would have got there months wage at most. It's a simple choice, stay and play 2nd division or mutually agree to rip up a contract and u are free to sign for any club interested.

Agree2 Disagree0

€500,000 pay-off to Goian being reported. I imagine Bocanegra will get something similar if he hasn't already found another club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Zaliuskas has now been defo signing for about 4 was now, he knows there's money and he ain't signing for a pittance, not even a top SPL player and your getting the run around!
