Would be more likely if he was brought in on a loan first with option to buy, like Hagi was and like what we done with taking Kent on loan, then buying him once we seen what he could do! The boy does look impressive though.

Obviously I meant Hagi as well lol. I totally agree the deals with Kent and Hagi were good business in the respect of getting to see how they handle playing for us first. But I think we're crying out for a right winger to complete our attacking 4. Exciting times anyway mate being linked with a lot of players so let's see what happens.

It’s maybe not the perfect model but one that may work. some of the young players go for serious cash due to being a talent in their home land, there will be times like Hagi where it simply doesn’t work, too young possibly, systems don’t suit, wrong type of manager etc etc this could be a way of us picking up TIL young talent at knock down prices and our Academy and coaching team can hopefully get the best out these lads and eventually turn us a profit?

100% agree Ger88. Don't think i can handle another season with a #10 being played on the wing, especially if we want the most out of Hagi he must be played behind the striker.
Although I was checking on twitter about Skov Olsen and it looks like it was 2 Rangers fans talking about how we should try and sign him, then a spanish account jumped on and started reporting we were looking to sign him.

Kent needs played on the right wing where he can actually take a man on and cross the ball and Hagi needs played at the 10 where he can hurt people. Try telling our manager that though.

Was reading an article on the 4th official site about rangers . Very interesting what they are saying. Looking like there two investors coming in with a lot of money to put in and a new share offer to be out out . There quite a lot of positives and dar too many too mention on here . But it looks good . Have look if you doubt me.

Not sure about the 2 investors, i know there is one guy looking to investment/ buy shares but haven't heard about a second investor?
It might happen who knows, my feelings about it are, as long as we perform well at home and in european competition along with a strong retail sector we can have a very successful period coming up. Fingers crossed Stevie G Can deliver #55 next season. !

Just had a conversation with a friend from manchester and he told me that we are looking at 3 man utd young CMs mcghee, aliou[ french DCM] and gomes. He us of the understanding that mcghee and gomes would be freedom of contract. He also says about the RB from Leicester but that's old news. This guy works at a scouting agency . He hasn't told me about rangers rumours befpre but the rumours he told me about other clubs about 75% have happened so thought i would pass this on.

Genk payed over£4m for hagi, 5months later he signs on loan for gers. Rangers have then bought the lad.
Loan with option to buy happens all the time in football.

Stuarty IMO that's the way we should be doing business instead of spending 6 or 7 million and guy turns out to be a flop like grezda and co. can't risk that type of money any more. Done it with both kent and now hagi. Need to know they are worth the fee. That and using the over border compensation for talented young players from england will be our transfer strategy. We will buy young talented players with big potential cheap, develop them then sell on at big profits making our club self sustaining instead of needing to depend on king, park and co.

and it all depends who is reporting and how they interpret what they hear/ read
One report stated that Roofe's club was offered £7 million;
and, another stated that it was a loan and possibly 6 million Euros next year;
and yet, another states that Rangers have offered only £4.5 million for his signature
IMHO I don't think any of them are true, he is injury prone and gone way off the boil, so offering millions as potential or as a gamble is not in Rangers or SG's interest. He needs a certainty not a maybe.

Aye Stuart it's frustrating spending decent money on the Grezda's of this world and it doesn't work out. If we are wanting a fringe player or youth then loaning with an option to buy is the way to go but if it's a guy like Roofe who his club want to hold on to and features prominently for them then we'll have to get our hand in our pocket. We wouldn't let Alfie go unless we were getting paid upfront.
