Oxford off to reading on loan. Inside info from West Ham sendros wouldn't leave so earbud on couldn't sign him.

30 Jan 2017 21:40:15
Senderos is better than Kiernan and Wilson, give him a run with hill.

30 Jan 2017 21:55:23
Senderos is the worst centre half I've ever seen

30 Jan 2017 23:18:16
Senderos is not better than Kiernan which says it all really. We have missed out on a quality young player with Oxford going on loan to Reading. Our defence will still be a bomb scare for the rest of the season!

30 Jan 2017 23:36:56
I agree east mains16 I don't no why people slate senderos so much he has not really had a chance but look at the career he has had he is a level of player up from kiernen and Wilson I think he should play along side hill tbh. If you look how poor hill was in first few games but he has turned into a tidy defender for us now as he also is a level up from kiernen and Wilson quality will always come through even if they are getting older. I have no doubt senderos would be a decent player for us given a chance. How you can pick kiernen over him is a joke.

30 Jan 2017 23:50:37
Senderos was a panic buy at the end of the first window. The guy wasn't fit when we signed him and it showed at the pigory. Give big Bates a run out. It's been proven we only have 1 good centre half (Clint Hill) and his experience could be invaluable for Bates development. Kind of like what Davie Weir was for Danny Wilson 6,7 years ago

31 Jan 2017 00:10:42
Senderos wasn't even a good cb at arsenal I never rated him even then thot he was a donkey

31 Jan 2017 00:23:46
Senderos wasn't a panic buy at the end of the window. He was a free agent so we could have signed him at any point. Remember Warbs taking his time over him so obviously he rated him enough to give him a deal. I'd like to see him given a run out, he's faced much better opponents than what we currently have in the SPL. Get him match fit and up to speed with the game and I reckon he'll do us a turn.
I remember folk absolutely slating Clint Hill when he signed and looked how that turned out.

31 Jan 2017 05:16:03
I would definetly like to see Sendaros given a run alongside Hill, I don't think Kiernan is the answer, I would rather Wilson BUT if Wilson's injured then give big Sendaros a chance! Warbs is either worried about lack of pace OR Sendaros is showing absolutely nothing in training! just can't believe a player with his experience AND the money we are paying him is warming the bench. We do need a settled defence but Kiernan is a bomb scare I would even give Bates a chance to see how he goes, and btw IS Wilson injured at the moment?

31 Jan 2017 06:56:48
On what i have read and hearing its Nottingham Forest that have won the race to sign Oxford.

31 Jan 2017 07:50:29
Senderos was a panic buy we didn't need him its showed by the fact that he's hardly played.

31 Jan 2017 08:36:47
Might be a distinct lack of pace pairing Hill and Senderos.
We have Bates but will Warbs give him a chance - doubt it meantime but maybe later in the season.
We have Wilson and Kiernan as the only option to pair with Hill so it's important we bring in a CB before the transfer window closes today.

31 Jan 2017 09:44:04
Wilson has a small injury, Warbs said.

31 Jan 2017 11:59:41
Kiernan along with hill is the best centre half we have. the amount of goals we lose at back post when Tavernier goes wandering is bad. and its alway kiernan who takes blame. after the manky mob our defensive record is good. i rate Kiernan. he's just the easy target thim.

31 jan 2017 11:26:25
no to senderos he is slower than hill and doesn't improve on kiernan either which does say it all

31 Jan 2017 15:08:49
China bairn. When the full backs go bombing forward the holding midfielder should be slotting into a back 3. We get caught a lot on the break granted, Our biggest issue at the back is we need a pacey centre half. Someone who can sweep as part of a back 3 when tav and Wallace go forward.

31 Jan 2017 16:48:08
i need to laugh, senderos played 1 bounce game then thrown in the deep end following game he kept a clean sheet against Patrick. yes he messed up at parkhead but that wasn't going to stop us getting spanked. wasn't just him that didn't show up.

Kiernan lost us the Scottish cup final, lost us semi final against them at Hamden. List can go on and on. Senderos can defend set pieces and attack at them as well, but we will see when Kiernan gets suspended or injured or messes up again on the pitch and you slaughter him.

31 Jan 2017 16:39:10
We have no idea of how Senderos would perform but he is a big unit with some pedigree. Certainly must be better than Kiernan.

31 Jan 2017 16:23:26
Kiernan shows goal side all the time

31 Jan 2017 17:42:52
Yes Kiernan is a school boy error. senderos should be giving a run end of story,

01 Feb 2017 19:54:44
Yes Kiernan again how many times. Absolute disaster

01 Feb 2017 19:55:04
He will cost warbuton his job

30 Jan 2017 19:58:57
Keeper confirmed signed

30 Jan 2017 20:25:20
Wouldn't have thought that was a top priority but hey ho you can only p*** with what you've got I suppose

Onward and upward?

30 Jan 2017 21:36:58
We need cover as Gilks is leaving Rangers

30 Jan 2017 23:37:03
Yes up on club website

31 Jan 2017 14:00:18
Needed a keeper, films sold, can't get Kelly back, mccrorie out for 8 weeks

30 Jan 2017 19:29:43
Well I told you weeks ago that a friend of the King family had said that King had lost faith with Warburton and that he would be replaced in the summer
Now the Daily Record have a similar story, and the fact Warburton has been given so little to spend this transfer window is another strong indicator.

The hope is that the financial situation can be improved following the Whyte trial, which has huge implications for current contractual agreements, if he is convicted.

{Ed033's Note - Yes, you did say that on 30 November 2016.

30 Jan 2017 19:49:43
The only indicator of anything here is that Keech Jackson has picked up on spurious rumours (mostly from our own) and spun them into a story which is speculative at best and downright lies at worst and contains not a single fact nor an ounce of objectivity. The Rhebel will publish any old garbage that is aimed at causing division in our ranks. In line with their cohorts and paymasters from the dark side, they hate us. Believe what you like, but this story is gash.

30 Jan 2017 22:50:34
No faith lost in Warburton at all if Warburton had the war chest there tranny fukre did ten he would be signing some really good players but he hasn't so far he has done OK some have flopped but only one that i can point out as a big flop the rest just haven't been able to break through or they have took a bad injury get of the guys back he has done some sensible business bringing in the players he has and judging by his press conference the two new boys total and hyndman may have a clause that would see an additional year on there loan as long as we make it into Europe which if he has struck that deal would be massive for us

30 Jan 2017 23:21:53
So who will King bring in, his dodgy pal, Davies, or the Aberdeen guy! Unless we are going to get better than Rodgers, and that is highly unlikely given that any manager of that calibre will want a transfer budget.

Indeed Warburton might have bought significantly better had he been given serious cash to spend.

The sooner we are free of Sports Direct and can attract new investment the better.

30 Jan 2017 23:57:47
A strongly believe what we need right now is someone who knows the SCOTTISH game inside out. Warburton has brought a European/ Spanish game that simply doesn't work in the Scottish game. Didn't work for Le Guen, Della at Celt*c and the list goes on. A no nonsense manager to get the boys to show fight and grit, seems to be none of tbat

30 Jan 2017 23:49:34
Spot on wee-ecky. No division, the board and DK expressed frustration in November at the start we made this season in the park.

Since then we have played 7 SPL games with 5 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat and have progressed in the cup. I can tell you that the board and DK remain frustrated although acknowledge an improvement. As usual the rebel is spouting single fish.

31 Jan 2017 05:38:31
I think that January is a tough time to get in players that u really want and due to our financial position we cannot do the same sort of business as English teams! bringing in a player for 2-3-4m is nothing to them and not a huge gamble, would rather we done loan deals for young hungry players than bring in someone who is not wanted. If Hyndman and Toral have the chance to extend deal be it Europe or whatever then its great for nxt season we are not far away in terms of putting a strong team together, we need Rossiter back AND hopefully Crooks will be there. We need an Amoruso type a left winger and another striker. I really do believe guys like Windass Garner Forrester and Dodoo will turn it up nxt season as with Rossiter. This has been a really topsy turvy season and u see it with other teams and players that it takes them a full season to settle, I'm sure Pedro at Chelsea was posted missing his first season, Know I'm being hugely optimistic but really do think we will be much h stronger nxt season.

31 Jan 2017 11:13:51
Who's going to be the new rangers manager then, GMacd?

31 Jan 2017 14:19:08
I can assure everyone on here. I know him and his family very well. Davies will definitely not be at rangers in the summer. END OF.

31 jan 2017 15:34:14
anyone signed in january unless for big money i a risk.
unless they aren't playing that well for their club you have to pay over the odds for a player.

be patient and actually use your brain and see how much better we are since warbs came and and realise he has done that with basically no money. all those free transfers we got in will make us money when sold on.

31 Jan 2017 16:25:49
bartley would do a job up here

30 Jan 2017 18:33:07
A delivery driver who delivers to our work from time to time was telling a few of us this morning, that he was told by a very prominent daily record sportswriters father, that billy davies will be the new rangers manager after this season!

He also told him to put a wager on in the bookies that this is happening! Only passing on what this driver from milton told us this morning! Billy davies seemingly has a lot of admirers within the ibrox board of directors!

30 Jan 2017 18:53:00
Will we be wearing Nike, Under Armour, New balance or Adidas strips by then Coop?

30 Jan 2017 18:56:17
If he becomes rangers manager I will not be back, he's dreadful as much as I say I would get rid of warburton, I think what he has done in short space of time has been good, but also dreadful to watch at times.

I would love to see the de boers at ibrox as the management team and heard also that this could be also happening but billy Davies definitely no thanks.

30 Jan 2017 19:11:02
Billy Davies? It was only a week ago you were telling us you were confident the De Boer brothers would be taking charge. Away and don't talk pish.

30 Jan 2017 19:15:01
SuperCooper, do you just make these up? That's 2 different managers you have mentioned in a 20 min time scale.

30 Jan 2017 19:11:34
Billy Davies had a very unwise friendship and experience with TS and another party that will will make this unlikely. Also apparently fond of a beveridge or two.

30 Jan 2017 19:14:09
billy davis has not got the integrity to be a manager of rangers. his personal past will not stand investigation also he has chip on his shoulder.

30 Jan 2017 19:59:43
If Billy Davies is named manager of rangers it will be the worst thing to happen to us since Ashley got involved. He is a total imposter and stealing a living.

30 Jan 2017 20:47:41
Well that certainly caused a stir! Definitely don't fancy Davies and we could not afford the De Boers. Warbs is shopping in Poundland and deserves a chance in my opinion. If any position should be looked at it should be Weir's. Outstanding player but doesn't do it for me in his current role.

30 Jan 2017 21:38:40
Warbuton is off at end of season, it's only frank de boer not Ronald it's getting touted, if Dave King does take a gamble of breaking his bank why would Billy Davies be involved? Bottom line its frank de boer no ifs no buts. Writing is on the wall. we need European scouting, Thursday night Europa league, frank can work with a budget and youth development so why do some bears want Billy Davies are they on crack

30 Jan 2017 23:26:12
Sorry, but we don't want Davies at Ibrox. He has an inflated opinion of his own ability and his track record is pretty pathetic. That apart we don't want someone like him at Rangers; that would really be dredging the bottom of humanity given his choice of friends!

30 Jan 2017 23:08:27
Guys take a chill pill! I never told you i said billy davies was going to be our next manager, try and get that in your heads! I was told this and of course only time will tell! We pass on info on these pages to one another to what rumours we hear! All i did was pass it on. Get over it and see it for what it is!

We could say all rumours are pish unless of course they do go on to be true! For the record i continually back mark warburton on here as i rate our manager and do hope he stays as our manager, end of story! Some folk are honestly too easily wound up and very highly strung! Calm down and away and have a budweiser!

31 Jan 2017 15:38:29
naw its not just not happening davies will not be our manager and neither will frank or Ronald.

warbs is the man for us and his style of play will become brilliant if he gets money to spend

30 Jan 2017 18:27:06
port vale goalie at murray park for medical according to sky.

30 Jan 2017 18:13:42
Going by the reports in this morning's DR, that dave king and some directors have lost faith with mark warburton, then these strong rumours about frank de boer becoming our new manager in the summer, are now very believeable! Especially if there's investment of any sort coming into the club. King has supposed to have been very firm and critical of warbs and his signings, at the board meeting last wednesday.

He seemingly told warburton that unless he shifts a centre half out the door, then he can forget about signing reece oxford, on loan, from west ham! Reading between the lines i think king and the directors have run out of patience with warburton. I rate and like warbs and i don't think for one second that king is blameless! He doesn't come out of this one, smelling of roses, that's for sure! Up until now, i don't think he's backed our manager enough!

30 Jan 2017 18:40:47
Dave king has some cheek. He hasn't backed the manager enough. It's pretty obvious there's a split in the boardroom. As for de boer why would he waste his time coming to us when the board and king havnt a penny to spend. Only for mw contacts down south we wouldn't have any new players.

King couldn't even be bothered staying and watching Saturdays match. He was probably scared in case someone asked him where the 30 million is.

30 Jan 2017 18:40:54
Q. What do The Daily Record and Keith Jackson have in common?
A. Gladys Knight

30 Jan 2017 18:53:15
Considering the cash MW has had available I think he has bought quite well - few bad eggs aside which could not be foreseen. However where I feel MW goes wrong is his blinkered approach to certain players that are either clearly not up to standard, playing poorly or being played out of position.

His methodology about playing the game is fine if he only had a plan b and c in the bag when required.

Unfortunately unless an oil tycoon or some very wealthy backer with money to burn comes in we are stuck with this penny pinching approach until Ashley is out of our club for good.

30 Jan 2017 19:13:13
Is that the same super Keith Jackson who told the world Craig Whyte was a billionaire with money off the radar? I wonder who the grass is on the board that gives out this information to Keith Jackson.

30 Jan 2017 19:19:37
Wouldn't trust MW with a decent war chest, wasted what little money he has had to date.

30 Jan 2017 19:32:20
Even the great alex ferguson had nightmares in the transfer market. The vast majority of his signings have done a job for us.

30 Jan 2017 19:34:50
I cannot imagine any Rangers fan would be so gullible as to place any credence whatsoever on the lies and ramblings that the arch-Rangers hater Keech Jackson has published in the Daily Rhebel. It's all absolute nonsense!

30 Jan 2017 20:23:25
Bluenose and hooly, who out of his signings would you say has been a big success? Halliday woeful Holt not good enough senderos enough said ohslloran hasn't done it rossiter injured crooks didn't get a chance Barton blew up garner nearly 2 mill can't score kranjkar injured etc etc. I'd probably say the goalie and Clint hill are the only 2 that have worked out so however u put it his record with transfers has been horrible.

30 Jan 2017 23:33:54
You cannot blame the manager for the fact that young Rossiter and Krancjar are injured, or indeed for the fact that both Crooks and Windass were also out injured.

Halliday and Holt were bought to secure the Championship who h we did and I am sure that the intention was that two of the above would have replaced them. Barton didn't work out, but was he a Warburton signing or was this King making a 'marque signing' on the cheap.

It is too early to say whether Garner will be a success or a failure, only time will tell.

If serious money had been available for transfers and the players brought in had bombed then I would be more critical of Warburton but he has been given washers.

The one member of the management team that I am critical off is Weir, I would have expected our defence to be significantly better than they are under his guidance

30 Jan 2017 23:24:43
I thought Jackson was one of us? In fact I'm certain he is

31 Jan 2017 09:56:48
Don't matter what he is seeker, he is a terrible journalist and just puts things up to sell papers, there shall be no new manager unless there is major investment or warburton gets another offer like Watford?

31 Jan 2017 13:20:34
Supercooper I was told about the De Boer link a few months ago and posted it on here (can't remember exactly when) seems there is a bit of substance to this. If we are to progress I believe we need a manager with the standing of De Boer to do so. In terms of signing players, contacts within the game at the elite level and the "it" factor De Boer ticks all the boxes. The board not investing much this transfer window would have a cynical man thinking it's because Warburton won't be here long term.

30 Jan 2017 16:49:21
New keeper signed...will be announced tomorrow afternoon probably

30 Jan 2017 17:09:57
Maybe those who spouted all the nonsense about us not being able to afford the price can now explain how we have managed it.

30 Jan 2017 18:33:00
Spot on jodano, as was stated at AGM in november, additional funds would be available in January to strengthen the football team.

30 Jan 2017 18:40:10
Jordano a fee of £250 grand for a club the size of Rangers does not warrant taking the morale high ground over anyone Once the purse strings have been properly loosened then you can ask explain!

30 Jan 2017 19:57:34
As I've stated before we can't do much because of Ashley and DK whether you like to believe it or not is keeping the club afloat with his money not spending millions and bankrupting us again. If as I've said also we could pass a motion to sell shares to the current. Pars and not Ashley we would have much more money to spend on team and dilute the fat man also. It's a game of chess and it's keep g the club alive until check mate.

30 Jan 2017 23:37:10
While I am sure that soft loans from Directors is keeping us afloat there is nothing that I see that gives me comfort that King is ploughing any cash in or indeed that he will do any time soon.

I suspect that if we can rid ourselves of Sports Direct that there will be new investment available but I would not be too confident that it will come from DK.

30 Jan 2017 14:42:58
Keeper from Port Vale apparently having a medical, on Sky Sports transfer centre.

30 Jan 2017 15:02:52
Looks like we have missed out on Oxford. Think he's off too forest

30 Jan 2017 18:24:37
Nottingham Forrest have 5 Center backs in their Championship squad. Mathew Mills, Michael Mancienne, Thomas Lam, Jack Hobbs and Damien Perquis. Hopefully West Ham won't send him somewhere where he does not have a realistic chance of first team opportunities.

30 Jan 2017 14:08:26
Jak Alnwick having medical at Rangers. SSN.
