I can’t believe we couldn’t get something for a guy his age after paying £1.5mill for him. One thing that lot across he city are good at is getting money for players no matter how good or bad they are. We just constantly cut our losses.

Cardoso was absolutely dreadful that's why we have cut our losses . No way would I have kept him under any circumstances. He wasn't even good enough to get a fee, nobody would pay for him.

Ashley had a clause in the contract that if they match the contract then they get it. So this will be a lot more favourable towards rangers.

Why are we not at least selling these players for free with a decent sell on clause in case they come good. No point just releasing them just wastes money we could badly use.

To me it’s seems like Cardoso lost his bottle after his broken nose against Motherwell - he looks like a poser and wasn’t confident after that, word got out he’s a bottle bag and nobody was willing to pay a fee! That’s why Gerrard would never have played him, no heart!

He is still young and known as quiet a good young talent back in Portugal we could of got at least 300,000 or so for him with a sell on clause think it's ridiculous how we just keep letting players go by paying them off.

Whats ridiculous deanobear is that we actually paid money to get these clowns in the first place. Did we get any offers for cardoso? No! Why? Because he is useless. We couldn't get 300k for him because no one would pay it. that's why it was mutual termination, please try and understand this. As for a sell on clause, you're joking surely lol.

Ralph10 nothing at all strange about it. His agent lined up a club for him, Rangers freed him with no compensation, he gets a signing on fee, we free up his wage, satisfactory outcome. That's the way it works.

His pay off will probably include a deduction to let him go for free as it will be easier for him to find a club, if we had looked for a fee then he would have probably got a higher pay off or he would have dragged his heels.

Cannot believe that person Pedro wasted millions on him, Herrera and Pena! Money wasted we won’t see any return on! If they can cut there losses with the likes of him, I wish they would do the same with Hodson, Halliday etc.

Think middleton will be a stand out this year. We play much more direct with him and Ejaria on the park. The lad sadiq looks like he can shift as well.

Ejaria is wasted in deeper midfield though - he's playing far too restricted. He's a creative attacking mid. Gerrard seems to be getting a lot right the past couple of matches but still his propensity for playing some players wildly out of position remains. He has a full squad to play everyone in the right position. Shouldn't waste players!

Thought ejaria had a poor game yesterday - didn't link up with halliday and Middleton on the left and seemed to wander to a deeper inside position - no point in coming really deep into his own half to do his one party trick - felt he could offer more if helped others around him - was pleasantly surprised by young Middleton- who is always determined to get to the by line and put a cross in - Goldson is just different class - his positional play and confidence on the ball is superb - a competent display which resulted in 3 good goals -.

Really like Middleton. My instinct was that he would be used as an impact player but the more I see him the more I think he's got to start.
